hey everyone - rushed morning for me, so no time to checkin. i had a great 10 mile run. it was nice and chilly like i like it!

clintonya, do you prefer morning or evening exercise?

anne, wtg on getting up again for your wo. this sts seems to really agree with you.

wendy, how did it go with the machines?

becky, i am glad you got sleep. i was supposed to get up at 1 to put eye drops in but slept until 3 instead. oh well.

angie, that is great the girls let you study and be with them. i loved anatomy.

colleen, a caribean vaction sounds just perfect.

eats are too heavy and snacky, but i know it was the stress of my interview, which is now done, and i can still turn the day the right way. so, the practice owner seemed very relaxed and nice. he def wants saturdays, so hopefully i can make at least 1 or 2 work a month - it is just jard b/c dh works at least 1. also, i think he is open to thursdays, which is good, b/c i have childcare that day. i just need to work out some kinks then maybe try to start in march. it is not ideal, but it is better than nothing, i think;). need to talk it over with dh tonight.

more 1 rm and yoga on tap for later, though i really feel the need to break a sweat again.... bbiab

Nina, I would actually rather wo in the mid-morning, but w/my sched right now I can’t do that. By 2:00 I have lost my initial motivation for the day! Hope you can make the job work! Wish I had some suggestions, but I know child care is hard to find on the weekends:(

Kate, yes, they both have-isn’t it fun :) We will sometimes fall out laughing esp. w/ab work. My oldest loves doing step, like especially rhythmic step. She will just go and do that herself. She has been doing some of the sts cardio & weight dvds and says they are really helping her at dance :) She has a love/hate relationship w/Cathe :)

The sun is out today which is great!

Just did GS chest - I'll say it again - WOW! That's a hard chest WO! Also did 30+ min of Barefoot Cardio. Short nap for Julia:confused:. Might sneak in legs tonight - we'll see how my motivation is at 8PM!:p
 
Kate, your workouts are awesome !

I did leg tri-sets this morning and just did an hour of yoga. That makes me feel awesome !

Eats are clean but I'm hungry and looking for a snack .

Breakfast : breakfast smoothie from Eat Clean Diet Cookbook
Lunch: veggie burger with added spinach, and cole slaw
 
Holy DOMS, batman! Have I told y'all how much my a** hurts? Sorry for those who have delicate ears--that leg work out on Tuesday is kickin' in! My hammies were sensitive this morning when I did deadlifts and my calves are definitely feeling the burn. That's all good, right?

clintonya, i hear ya on the motivation flagging in the afternoon. i love running when noone else is around - ie cars and people, so early am is best, but i am much faster mid morning. ah well, what can you do.

becky, tell me again what yoga you do? i have been using on demand tv - free workouts!! the yoga is called yoga works, and i have been doing the body slim one. it is really cool, and it helps me some afternoons to relax without overdoing it, you know? i want to get some yoga dvds, but must earn that paycheck first!! i may be able to go to an actual class soon, but i want it to be more of a power class as opposed to yoga for relaxation. any tips?

spinach lassagna, ww noodles and lowfat cheese, in oven. love having dinner done!

Here's my evening: leaving work at 4:30 to meet a friend a 1/2 hour away for early dinner. Leave there at 7:15. Tap from 8 to 9. After 9, stop by my friend's house b/c I bought tickets to a show for the two of us to go to, but it's the week of the cruise. I'm going to be tired tonight!

Btw, I can't WAIT for the Olympics to start tomorrow night. I love them.

nina, I think you are in FL? check out baronbaptiste.com, click on studios and then affiliate studios. he does tons of teacher training and I saw some FL listings. his style is def power yoga.

kate, i just made that taco soup (well, a modified version), but no fritos here, lol.

becky, is this the one you made? i was worried about the uncooked oatmeal being weird.
1 scoop protein powder
1/3 cup Quaker Oatmeal dry uncooked
2/3 cup Skim, Soy, Almond, Rice or Cow's Milk or water
1 Tbsp Almond Butter or other nut butter
1 frozen or fresh Banana
2 Tbsp Applesauce or Honey
1Tbsp Flaxseed
1/2 ice cubes

did not get to the gym this morning for a number of reasons, including JJ not feeling very well all of a sudden =( of course he seems totally fine now. during nap I did one of my new trades, crunch latin rhythms fat blasting dance. it was really fun and doable without moving my arm much, but I didnt realize it was only 40 mins. really like to fit in another workout later. kickboxing is a no, unfortunately. but maybe i can try one of my others, a KCM possibly.
 
clintonya, thats so nice that your girls like cathe! its been a while now since iworked out to cathe at home regularyly, but when i did dh would walk thru and make fun, like the knee side / leg side repeater in LIC. he would try to do that and it made me laugh every time. also, the "party arms" in C&W...

angie, are you using the C to 5k podcasts or just doing them from paper? i downloaded them ages ago but i found the music deathly boring. im such a music person, especially when walking, i just couldnt do it! and that was even before my knee bothered me.

speaking of which... I have not had so much as a twinge in my knee for weeks. since before disney. nice!

Wendy- yes that's the smoothie ! OMG it was good ! I couldn't even tell oatmeal was in it. I used almond milk, chocolate protein powder,almond butter and left out the applesauce. It just didn't need sweetener ! I also toasted some wheat germ and added that.
I just told my dh that it's going to be my new favorite breakfast for a while !!!! YUM

I made healthy egg foo young for our dinner, from www.hungrygirl.com and it was so good. 2 grams of fat, compared to the stuff from the chinese place , which is 40 grams!!!!!!

Nina, mostly I go to www.yogatoday.com where you can purchase workouts if you want but there is also a weekly FREE workout. This weeks is an hour long and it's *heart openers*, for Valentine's day . and it felt great.

Survivor starts tonight , if anyone still watches. ha
 
Ended up taking DDs bowling and out to dinner. Nice time!
