Morning girls,

We actually stayed in bed this AM and didn't get up to do insanity. The last week and we skip it. Ryan's back has really been bothering him the past few days so we wanted to give it a break and we were both just tired. So, our last week will start tomorrow, finish next Monday with the fit test (since there is no rest day this week). Then I will take a rest day on Tuesday and we'll be off to the States on Wednesday. Just in the nick of time!

I plan to do some sort of step this afternoon though. I'm going out with my friend Rebekah this morning so it won't get done then.

Eats this weekend were somewhat dreadful. I don't know what my deal was. We even stopped at the burger joint after church yesterday. I was feeling SUPER homesick and didn't feel like going home and trying to figure out something "healthy" to eat. I just wanted to go to a friend's house, eat chili, and watch football. :( I didn't totally overdo it though - small chicken sandwich, fries, and split some ic with ryan. Don't fee gross today but cals were DEFINITELY too high. Today/this week will be better. It has to be. This is my last week - need to see results. Ryan has lost 12 pounds! I've lost 2. :)

Nina, I'm not a huge fan of any of the recovery videos. They're ok - I've just done them too much. My faves are the plyo ones. Enjoy snuggle time with dh!

Colleen, do you have today off too? How was Fridays? I miss that place. Thanks for the recipe.

Morning ladies! No work for me today -- HOORAY!

Chris just came downstairs and told me that - SURPRISE - he took the day off work so he will be home with me today.

Re: The House.... We went by there yesterday, and the neighbors were outside so we stopped and I got out to talk to them and ask them if it was okay to walk around the house. Turns out the next door neighbor is my eye doctor - she has a very nice young family with 3 young kids around Collin's age. The house is on a cul-de-sac and she tells me that everyone is very friendly and quiet.

But here is the kicker - the back yard is HORRID. Maybe I'm being a bit dramatic, but basically the yard is very high on both sides, and a deep rut in the middle. I am sure that water would collect there and get into the basement after a heavy rain. Ugghhh. It's an absolute deal-breaker:(

kate, happy b-day julia!! i too do not know where the year has gone. my very good friend from maine had a baby last week, her tird girl. i have total and complete baby lust. hummm, is there a 3rd in my future?;)

angie, hugs to you. i know exactly what you mean about that homesick feeling. i feel it so much these days esp when i see fall leaves or hills or anything that reminds me on maine. all you can do is carry on. i think a chick sandwich is a minor hiccup for all you were feeling. how long will you be stateside? thanks for the tip on the recovery wo. what about the core balance one?

this am i did pur cardio and cardio and abs. it was nice but short. kiddos woke with a few minutes to go, and dh did not get in until 2am! so, hope to get a run in later. i am not sure what to do with my wos. i think since dh is home for 1 more week i will focus on running, then go back to insanity next week. i love the length of the wos, the intensity. i have done all of them except the recovery and core and balance and look forward to doing them again. they have motivated me to really clean up my eats, and my bdy is responding. no complaints!

Katie run for the hills. Take it from me if you see a problem with a house before you buy it, it mean mega $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ who knows how long that problem has been there. It could be the pipes underneath the house $$$$$$$$$$$$$. Not worth it.

Becky have you tried writting down everything you eat? So here is your kicks LLLLLLL in the pants;)

Angie don't feel bad about the extra cal this weekend, just tidy it up and you'll be fine.

Nina I glad to read you seem like you are feeling upbeat today.

My chest has major DOMS and triceps minor doms. I took it easy on my shoulders because I remember how the % of weight jumps up during meso 2.

Girls are off to school and I'm trying to get back in the swing of things after a crummy couple of weeks. My hypo kicked into overdrive and combined with pms it was awful. I'm feeling better finally-maybe the meds have started working their magic? Now I need to get back on the clean eating, working out wagon that I totally fell off of. Not sure what to start with-something short and not too tough, I think.

Angie, have fun with your friend! My neighbor got me out shopping and out for dessert Friday night-it felt so good to be doing something. Your indulgence doesn't sound too bad at all. Don't look at how much you've lost-go by your loose pants! Great job:)

Katie, so jealous of your day with Chris! I so need some quality one on one time with Darrin. Sorry about the house. We'd love to move, but it's not looking likely for a while-terrible market for sellers here.

Katie, sorry about the house, but water is the one thing you definitely don't want to deal with. It's the only thing that can ruin a foundation. (Well, okay, probably an earthquake could, too, but you don't have to worry about those, right?)

Hey girls,

Quick check in. Today is going better. Ate lunch at friend's house and she made ww pasta with veggies but I ate too much. Got LIC cardio only blast in and it was a great sweat and fun. I missed Cathe. My agility has improved so much and I kicked a$$ on the blasts!!

Gotta shower and go pick up girls but I'll be back for personals later. Prob after kids are in bed. The sun is out today. I'm doing much better!
 
Breakfast: protein pancake & green tea
lunch: bean burrito with greek yogurt, salsa & brown rice on a fiber wrap and a huge honeycrisp apple, green tea
snack : I think I'll fix a blueberry/banana smoothie
dinner:not sure yet, a salad or oatmeal

told dh i needed personal time when he finally woke. boys were being so naughty. anyways, i went to the gym and ran a quick hilly 7 miles. showered and home and they are all sleeping. lentils and spinach and a huge apple for lunch (okay, and 1 mini peppermint patty):eek:. perhaps a nap with me or some time with my book. biab

Hello CT ladies! What a weekend. I'm pooped. Determined to eat clean and tidy all week. Yesterday was much better eating wise than Saturday. I was so tired by the end of both days from running around. Today is Fit Test and I'm going to do some ub weights. Kind of interested to see how much I improved over two weeks.

Angie - Don't sweat the weekend and just get back on track this week.
Kate - A year sure goes by fast doesn't it?
Nina - Yay for getting in extra time at the gym. Peppermint patties are hardly a cheat.
Robin - Yay for doms. Haven't lifted that hard in awhile since doing Insanity.
Klaudia - I'm glad you're feeling much better. You'll be in the groove of working out and eating right before you know it.
Anne - Hope you get your iMac soon!
Becky - I've had an up and down battle with the eating ever since football/cheerleading season started with my kids so I hear you.

Okay, off to do my fitness test. Kashi cereal or oatmeal for bfast. Not sure which. String cheese and almonds for snack. Gotta figure out lunch since I will be heading to work. Keep me on track ladies, I need it!

A year has gone by WAY too fast! ****sob!**** I just may need one more newborn to pacify those urges!:p
We do our 2nd fit test Thursday. Can I just say right now how much I HATE-LOATHE-DETEST pushup jacks?!??!?! My chest can do it, it's my SHOULDERS that can't take all that! Hopefully I can do at least ONE more!:p
