I can definitely tell you from personal experience, that if you read his book & follow this type of eating plan it is 100% effective. I have always been a cardio lover since age 15. I ran 1 hour 6 days a week & did some toning exercises. Well I got pregnant @ age 20 & went from 115lb to 180lbs. I'm 5'3". I gave myself an excuse to quit working out the moment I found out (I don't know what my logic was).
Anyway, I lost weight after birth with my regular cardio & what I thought was low fat-high carb meals (little fat- lot's of pasta or rice).
I went down at the lowest to 140lb. Let me tell you, I am very cardiovascularly fit. I would out-step our step instructor in the gym but still looked "stockier", "thicker" or "chubbier" than she did. It was frustrating.
Somehow, I found Cliff Sheets on his radio program since I lived in Dallas & decided to read his book. It opened up my eyes to a lot of things I never had a clue about. I followed his eating plan. A serving of protein, one of complex carbs and 1-2 of lean fibrous vegetables every 3 hours. I was never hungry. I don't remember having sugar cravings. I was at a desk job 10 hours a day, 4 days a week. I went from a size 8/10 to a size 2. My exercise schedule was at 4-6 days a week, usually around 5 days a week. Cardio 4 days & weights scheduled in there. I never knew I could look like that!
It just takes commitment. You really have to see food as a fuel for your body and you always want the highest quality fuel. Your body will definitely perform then and you will be amazed.
I also didn't take any supplements or bars just a protein shake every now & then as a time saver. My body fat was about 13 to 14%, which is pretty good for a girl I was told.
I would definitely encourage you to check him out.
