Yea, results are already starting to slow. I was down half a pound this morning but you know how that goes... up two tomorrow... But the constantly fluctuating numbers don't upset me because I know I'm gradually working my way down. Yea, I was really surprised when I looked at the numbers and realized it was 16lbs. in one month. But NOBODY'S noticed so it sounds more spectacular than it looks. When I injured my shoulder I had gotten down to size 14 jeans but when I stopped exercising I gained back fast and had to get a few pairs of size 16 (same brand & style). It was very disheartening. I've always done lots of cardio and it never really helped me lose weight, weight training was always my magic bullet so since I couldn't lift I just stopped exercising altogether. But I was really afraid of backsliding any further and that's when I found out about clean eating and started that. I'm not following a specific plan but I've gotten very good about planning and making sure I usually cover all my nutrition bases (though I could probably use a nutritionist to really analyze what I'm eating because I'm sure there are mistakes I'm making), though every time my health takes a hit (like last week's stomach flu) so does my nutrition (I lost 3 lbs. in one night while sick but indulged in ice cream at the end, with predictable results). I'm still not eating enough protein and I catch myself forgetting to pack vegetables a lot... You have to think all the time and it's work - but it's worth it. This week I began easing back into weight training and am starting to add in cardio (I may miss cardio but I NEVER miss weight training). I'm being very careful of my shoulder but I'm anxious to see the changes that will result when I'm doing all three (weight training, clean eating, and cardio) regularly and mindfully. So I'm keeping on (sigh). Thanks for all your encouragement.
