Clean Eating Nov 30,2005

Has become a joke! Last night, my reaction to flooded basement and DS "burglering" neighbors (see <---thread) was to shove massive quantities of food in my mouth. Fortunatly, most of the chocolate was gone from the night before. Sigh.
Try, try again:
B - Kashi with dried cherries and soy milk, banana
L - Chickpea and pasta soup, slice whole grain bread, apple, carrots
D - Balsanic Tomato soup, scones, salad
S - fruit
NO JUNK!
How are the rest of you doing.
I'm going to continue this thread into next month.

Thanks for starting this.

Yesterday was not so good. I ate a number of cookies. I won't tell you what that number was.:(

Today is another day:

B - high fibre cereal, banana, soy milk, 1 piece flax toast with pb
S - 1 apple, 2 graham crackers with pb (way too much pb going on here)
L - Big salad with protein
S - 1/2 toasted muesli bagel, 1 clementine
D - 4 oz tuna, 1 cup green beans with slivered almonds, 1 baked yam, 8 oz soy milk
 
Robin - I know how you feel! At least we're trying!! ;)

breakfast - oatmeal with skim milk, blueberries, and walnuts

snack - cottage cheese and banana

lunch - baked chicken and salad (again)

dinner - not sure but may have pizza because it's dh and nephew's bdays but I may try to have a big salad before

snack - will probably be birthday cake which I made lowfat and I don't plan to have frosting on it!

admittedly, it won't be one of my better days but I plan to be a little more strict tomorrow.

I'll get in on this, although I'm not one to place an example off of:

B-oatmeal, fruit, coffee
S-apple, half protein bar
L-some sort of fish, veggies, small carb
S-2nd half of protein bar
D-grilled chicken, broccolli, small baked potato
protein shake some where in there...

I did fine yesterday. Only one small slip up that involved chocolate truffles. Fortunately, the box is empty now--thanks to me!! Today will not be perfect either. My italian class is from 6:30 to 8:30 in the evening. It's about a 40 min drive each way. I usually don't have time to eat before the class, and by the time I'm on my way home I'm so hungry I feel sick. I usually end up in a fast food drive through off the interstate. Today will be no different, I'm sure.

B - 2 eggs and ww toast, can of V8 juice
S - 2 clementines and some toasted walnuts
L - salad with tuna
S - ?
D - you don't want to know
S - ?

Oh---um---okay---salad it is--NOT. He!! if I'm going to Wendy's I want fries--give me some FRIES:9 :p }( Biggie size those FRIES!!!

Sn - cantaloupe protein smoothie

Ln - tuna salad in tortilla
cottage cheese with pineapple

Sn - cottage cheese/pineapple

Dn - Peanutty vegetable stew, large salad with blueberry/pomegranate vinaigrette

Still on track.

Okay--I've composed myself now. I really don't know what came over me. I'll have a chicken salad and I'll post about it tomorrow. Thank you and I'm sorry if I've caused anyone here to stumble:eek::D

b-malt-o-meal, hot coco
2nd breakfast-turkey bacon and egg whites
l-??stomach is not happy....maybe some brown rice later
d-mini trees and baked sweet potato, black beans or tuna

I'm doing okay so far today.

b-sweet potato smoothie (jane I made it with 1/2 soy milk, 1/2 vanilla yogurt today YUMMY)

L- tuna on mixed greens, cottage cheese, apple

The rest of the day is subject to change .....dinner, right now I am thinking turkey black bean chili, and don't know about my afternoon snack yet.
 
Wow Becky, a sweet potato smoothie, that sounds absolutely wonderful.

I'm feeling fat today, not sure why since I've been doing a lot of cardio, MIC, sjp/sb 90 min cardio combo, Imax 3, RS. No-not all in one day! I'm sure it's from eating choc chips and peanuts. Thank goodness DH ate the last of the peanuts last nigh, they are not helpin my thighs at all!

1. orotein shake
2. eggwhites with peppers, steel cut oats
3. ? going out to lunch with co-workers, will eat healthy though.
4. apple
5. grilled chicken salad
