Clean Eating Magazine

Has anyone that has subscribed to this read it? I'm LOVING this! I've already tried the black bean salad that's in the winter 2008 edition. It was very good. I'm making a salad for lunch today that is listed in there too - I'm expecting it to be quite yummy.

Thanks to the person that suggested this - it's one of my best investments! :)

I subscribed, but haven't received my first issue yet. I'm glad to hear such positive feedback, Reese. I'm always looking for a yummy, clean recipe :)

I ordered a free preview issue on their website, which hasn't come yet, but I'm sure I'll end up subscribing! :)

I subscribed, but haven't recieved mine yet. I'm really looking forward to this, as food is my downfall. I love to workout, but I also love to cook, bake, and eatx( :9 :p . I'm a total foodie.

I'm really interested to see if we can eat healthier as a family and enjoy it in the process. My husband is on board with this as is my 13 yo son, who is really starting to care about his athletic performance and muscle definition.

It helps not to do this alone.

Maggie:)

I bought this magazine and absolutely love it! I will subscribe to this one as it has great material and tasty recipes. I also made the black bean quinoa salad and it was a hit! :9

I picked up this magazine yesterday and I can't wait to try the recipes and meal suggestions. They also give you the cost per recipe and cost per serving which is good when you are on a budget.

The website is http://www.cleaneatingmag.com

This just sounds better and better. I can't wait.

I have made several of the recipes from the winter issue. They were all yummy. My only problem is that I feel like looking at the current Oxygen magazine that they cut out a lot of the recipes. I do like the new format of the clean eating magazine though. It has a nice index to help find a particular recipe. I have made the Dilled Salmon roll ups, Lentil salad with cranberries and pecans, sancocho, oyster stew, Spicey manhatten clam chowder, baked apples and figs, quinoa black bean salad, and cherry tomato meat balls which were all good. Theses recipes have helped me through the holidays:)

Holy cow.

I've been eating clean for seven days and am shocked at the changes already happening. I still have a lot of weight to lose (size 14 and holding) and my workouts are on hold while I adjust to regular 12-hour workdays/6 days per week. So the only thing I AM doing right now is eating clean. The changes are small and subtle but enough are happening that what I first thought I was imagining I now know I'm not. Only seven days and I'm seeing definition where I never have before (a marked indentation above my knee and more toned areas all over my thighs, upper arms, and abs) and I'm noticing the fat around my waist, in the back, is nearly gone. Best thing: You know how you get fat on the sides of your thighs, near your bum? I ran my hands over my fatty thigh-side-bulges today and just froze. Then I did it again. My thighs are still fat, of course, but That Bulging effect? It's almost gone. In seven days. Unbelievable.

But trouble looms. Because I have little time to prepare serious meals I've been packing a very limited array of foods (often the same thing) every day. Unless you count the microwave, I've hardly cooked a thing. And frozen entrees get lame fast. I'm looking at clean eating recipes and trying to figure out how I'm going to go about real meal planning that actually involves pots and pans (I haven't even done the smoothies-in-a-blender thing yet). A magazine devoted to helping me get to the next step is exactly what I need. If you hadn't posted this message I would not have known about this magazine (I WILL subscribe). Thank you so much :)

Way to go ...... SirenSongWoman. Those are some very impressive results in only seven days. I'm off to get the magazine today, too, new ideas are always helpful.

Keep up the great work!
Marcia.

I know this is off the path. But I have to say you are "SMOKIN HOT"... the pictures on your website are wonderful. If I could look like that. Correction. I will look like that soon. All I can say is "WOW";-)

Would you recommend this magaine to those who hate to cook? I can't stand cooking and baking but always welcome new ideas. Is it more geared towards those who love be in the kitchen?

Maybe I should try to enjoy cooking....
Maybe this should be a New Year's Resolution...

Too funny. I think I'm going try to like cooking too. My trial issue of Clean Eating Magazine is on its way and I pray there's something in it I can cook with minimal hassle. Recipes nearly always have one or two ingredients I NEVER heard of (I always have to poll my coworkers) or can only be bought at a health food store that's way out of my way. But it's a new year and I promised I'd stop with the whining so...
