Clean Eating Challenge Dec. 5, 2005

OK. It's a new month, a new week. Soon it will be a new year. I did so well the beginning of Nov, but lost it the last couple weeks. Hopefully, I'll be able to live up to this challenge at least until Christmas week, when I plan to lighten up a bit.

B - cereal w/ light soy milk, banana
L - leftover rice w/ leftover peas (sound weird? that's all I could find in the fridge), carrots, pineapple
D - shrimp and linquini, bread, salad
S - apple, ONE small piece chocolate
64 - 80 0z water
Unreasonable amount of coffee
Rythemic step or KPC this afternoon
Eat clean, ladies

I did pretty well this weekend. I was so busy I didn't have time to eat much. I did have pizza last night, after the workout marathon.:)

Today:

B - steel cut oats with apple, raisins, cinnamon and soy milk
S - 1/2 apple, lf yogurt
L - WW pasta with veggies and cottage cheese, 1 clementine
S - 1 pear and 1 small slice flax toast with pb
D - egg white omelette with veggies, 1 slice toast
S - 8 oz soy milk, 2 fig bars

My workout will be Lowmax.

B- steel cut oats (first time trying them and luv them)with soy milk, ground flax seeds, hemp seeds, dried blueberries, and flax oil to top it off.
S- banana, 2 dried figs
L- salmon salad, baby carrots
S- 2 slices of ezekial bread with all fruit jam and hemp butter
D- falafels with hummus, salad
S- yogurt with applesauce

Sham, hemp butter?!!? You are out of my league. Did you add all that stuff to the oats yourself, or did you get them like that somewhere?

This forum has influenced me to try different things..and usually the results are YUM!!

I added the stuff to my oats. I luv ground flaxseed for the taste and as a way to get my fiber and the dried blueberries add a touch of sweetness.

I was at at health food expo a couple of weeks ago and tried hemp butter for the first time and really liked it. Since then I have started using it...I do know that for hemp products people prefer the hemp seeds or oil.

Hi Everyone,

I didn't eat too good on Saturday, 2 McDonalds cheeseburgers to be exact. Sunday was much better, and this week will be too.

1. protein shake
2. egg whites, steel cut oats
3. chicken breast, apple
4. ? may have a zone perfect bar if afternoon hunger hits
5. ?

Also will be drinking my gallon of water.

Hey Shem, What are the benefits of hemp products? I guess I could google it, but it's more fun to chat with you.
 
Hey Robin, with Hemp you get a good source protein, fats, fibre and nutrients. I can't give you a great explanation as I am only learning about it now. I know there are a couple on the board who use it as well.

I like www.manitobaharvest.com website as it provides a lot of info.

OK! i slipped up last night with the sugar OOPS!

I also had too many junk foods over the weekend and paid big time

SO, that said, it's a new week. I WILL BEHAVE

l-can of spinach, black beans, brown rice
s-protein bar
d-baked chicken and something green

I've been doing well, even over the weekend and going out to eat. Stuck with salmon, sweet potato, and salad...


Today...

Br - Oatmeal, strawberries, coffee w/creamer
Sn - Chocolate, banana, and nat. PB protein shake using choc soy milk
Ln - salmon club wrap, navel orange
Sn - plain yogurt, Weight Watcher cinn crunch cereal
Dn - Moroccan chicken stew, lg. salad with blueberry/pomegranate ving.
