nina, i hear ya girl! JJ woke up quite crabby from his shorter-than-usual nap. poor guy is all stuffy but he has such a short fuse right now!

anne, sorry such a busy day, but GREAT workout for you!

clintonya, ITA about not finding pilates-based exercise helpful for weight loss and this was true even when i was slimmer. my friend is such a proponent and very fit... but she is also lactose and gluten intolerant as well as vegetarian by choice, i think its pretty hard to eat "unclean" with that. eating is so much of it for me...

robin, i will let you know what i think of lotte berk method for sure.

I *heart* chili. Reminds me that I have a new recipe to try but I already the next few days menus planned up. Will put it on for the weekend. Yes, I'm anal. But if I don't plan my dinner menus out that far in advance we end up staring at the fridge.

Clintonya, Enjoyyour rest day! I dont schedule them anymore - I just take them when I need them which is about every 10 days or so.

Anne, I think HIIT Pyr is my have of the HIITs. Cahte's ab work doesn't make me sore anymore. ??? Weird bec my core sucks. I've been doing crunches on our decline bench and OWIE-OWIE!!! Hurts to laugh!

NIna, Imustve stolen your patience - I've been unusually centered (for lack of a better word) lately. Hang in there!!
 
I must agree that this is a wonderful group of ladies!

Katie - Go for it! I got pg this last time 5lbs over my ideal weight, but you know in the long run after you give birth, it will come off. I say you're in great shape and discipline that you will do fine!

Wendy - My baby is sick with a cold also. She has the snotty nose and a real small cough. My odd had it and passed it to her sister.

Nina - Hope you were able to get through your situation. I am one that needs constant timeouts to keep my patience in check.

Kate - One more?? I am for sure done. I have a little helper with the drawers also. I put in, P pulls it all out!

Okay gotta cut this short since P is playing with the mouse. Bfast was kashi ceral, 1/2 multi grain toast and half a banana. Lunch, not sure. Debating my day. No wo yesterday but planning on 40/20 today. Be back when I have free hands!
 
kate, how do i get it back?? i hate myself this way:(:( all the yelling, even happy yells, the interruptions when i am talking to them, the not listening, the mess. what is wrong with me?? cathe's ab stuff stopped making me sore, then i started more stability based stuff and it is a killer, in a good way.

wendy, how do you make your chili? hope jj is better soon. i love saline mist for the little guys. when you described the rumaging jj does, it made me laugh, b/c as i was reading, both my boys were absolutely destroying the living room. what can you do?

colleen, your menus are inspiring. i need to gt an ellie cookbook. does she have more than one? i need simple, healthy, and simple:p

as far as my life and what i need to clean and itdy up? mainly our living spaces. we have so much room in this house it is hiding a multitude of sins. eats are clean so far and i did mm ub only and a little leg stabilizing work. this am i walked the boys to the park and back - probably 3 miles. i also made some yummy lentils - it is curbing my snack attack big time. i also got a phone call dh is leaving again this week for a short trip. sighhhhhh
 
aaaahhhh! A midday shower! Is there anythign better than a WO and a shower w/ no kids around for EITHER??!!?!

Nina, No clue how to get it back!:eek: My girls are LOUD SQUEALERS! They are noisy and rambunctious and I am learning to embrace it. Even Julia is picking up on it and runs around the house squealing for all she's worth. :D It's really quite funny! I need to get a vid of it!:p:p Sometimes I literally am about to lose it with the noise but I repeat to myself in my head "They are not being bad....they're being kids". Now, if they're totally out of hand I step in but mostly I try to deal with it. Yday for instance in Meijer - OH MY WORD! They were like Wrestlemania in there! Everyone that walked by us was cracking up! It really could've annoyed me but I thought to myself "If I saw girls like that having fun I would smile"....so I dealt with it. Julia was antsy by the end and I was feeling unraveled - so I stuck her in the Beco. Isabel handed Gina the grocs from the cart, Gina scanned them and I bagged them. ......Well....you prob weren't expecitng all of THAT!:p:eek:

kate, thanks for the words. ita with what you said. and most of the time i know that. i love that my boys are crazy monkeys - we have such fun with it. maybe today just isn't my day, but i think i will practice what you said and maybe try looking at them from the outside. it is funny....

Kate, loved your story :) Yes, as long as they are happy, what does it really matter :) I am usually don’t take a rest day each week, but I am trying to stick to the rotation:)

Speaking of sticking to the rotation, you know how I hate the uncomfortable pants :):) This week the pants are way too tight!!! I know it is likely just because of the initial effects of the rotation, but I don’t like it :) But my dh and daughters are like rotation, rotation, so they are keeping me in check!

I just want to say that my legs are screaming from my morning workouts. I did not really feel it while I was doing the butt workout but I am feeling it now. I hope I can walk tomorrow!

Nina, Ellie does have 2 books. Her new one So Easy breaks the meals down into easy (short on time) and complex (when you have more time). You can also find some of her recipes at foodnetwork.
Kate, I am so glad you got a shower alone. I can't imagine trying to do it with kids.

man do i feel like crap right now, need to hit the sheets. yes yes, i know its only 8:15...

nina, for chili i dont use a recipe, just wing it. start with 2+ lbs lean beef (i pick out my own cut and have the butcher grind it because im scared to death of weird bacteria in pre-ground beef...). saute onion and garlic (i use tons, like 8 cloves lol) in a little canola, add beef and green pepper. i like to season the meat while it is cooking (chili powder, cumin, oregano, cayenne, salt) then again later if needed. finish browning meat, add 2 cans rotel and tomato juice (enough to cover at least an inch above the meat). if you use dry beans soaked overnight then add now, otherwise let this simmer an hour or two, season more if needed, and add 2 cans of beans (i use black, pinto or kidney). could add corn too.

robin, did you end up making chili? you could also make picadillo, it quicker, doesnt need to simmer for long.
