Clean and tidy July 11

Ha, I feel like a big phoney starting this thread today. I did I bit better yesterday though. I had a couple graham crackers after dinner, but hey, that's better than the Oreos that are in the cupboard next to them.

B-fast - Kashi cereal with soy milk, banana
Lunch - PB&J on WW, tomato, carrots, berry salad
Snack - cherries
Dinner - ??? (I'm getting a haircut and color after work and don't know what time I'll be getting home. Dinner may be out tonight. I'll try to make good choices.)
Workout - IMAX 3 1-5, abs
 
HA HA HA! I'm even phonier!
I started the day with a Starbucks lemon scone and tea.
I was uber excited that the work cafe was going to have Chile Lime salmon and veggies but of course, they changed the menu today replacing it with egg plant parm (blech!!) Rest assured if the salmon were actually double fried chicken wings with a side of grease they would not be replaced by yucky egg plant (did you notice I don't like egg plant??).
Friday the menu says there will be tilapia but we have bets out that the tilapia will be replaced with hotdogs or loaded nachos or whatever else yucky and greasy they can dig out of the fridge ;-)

Enough ranting....
I guess it will be rice and beans for lunch with a little piece of chicken and grapes...
Tonight....a boca burger and salad.

Sounds like you both are doing great!! Cherries are my all time fav i think, i can eat boxes of them!! I'm heading over to the farmers market today, they have them every Wed at city hall in the summer here, and its right across from my office.
Today is going fine, same as usual!
Bought some no added sugar dark chocolate chips....all natural, i figure if a craving hits, i'm ready for it!!
workout, drill max cardio, B&G's timesaver, and more abs probably. i'm ramping my cardio down in duration a bit for the next few weeks to see if my body likes it.

Lets see, I haven't been very good lately, Chinese buffet and ice cream. But hey, admitting it is the first step they say:)

So today is laid out pretty well.

B: ww eng. muffin, natural pb
L: soup, ww crackers, orange
S: ff cream cheese and ww crackers
D: chicken cutlets/ff parmesean/sauce
S: watermelon

I've lost 2 more pounds, pretty confident I'm on the right track. 1600 kcal. a day is working for me right now.

ps. my veggie portions are on the side, baby carrots and salad with dinner, plus veggies in the tomato sauce, ok that's it, but I figured that's an important detail, gotta love those veggies:p

Robinellers, Beavs, Stephanie and Carrie...hello!!!

My eating has been pretty clean lately but I have not been getting in as many workouts as I would like. I think I have a bit of tendonitis in my hip and am trying to rest it. I did iTread for 7 miles on Saturday, went for a walk on Sunday, nothing Monday and Jari Love yesterday. I am thinking of taking another rest day today. My hip feels better but I don't want to irritate it. I figure one more day with resy and Alieve will help. Another reason my eating needs to be clean right now.

Carrie, WTG on the weight loss!!! How many pounds do you want to lose?

Well I did pretty good yesterday. Even last night when I got home from work. I had some Kashi crackers and about 1Tbsp of natural PB
I usually go for the cookies.

No work out for me today.:-( We're having a Bow window put in. They have been here sense 8 AM.


B: whole grain cereal,skim strawberries and 4 egg whites
L: Cottage cheese strawberries, banana and finn crispbread
S: probably a protein smoothie
D: chicken and salad (I think)
S: ???

I am not working tonight and very excited to be able to go to bed early!!:D

I am loving the Blog updaytes.

You are all so well behaved! I probably won't be so clean today (tonight will be a Panera Crispani) but I'll limit my portion size. I'll be doing IMAX 3 tonight which should help burn some of the crud out of arteries. ;-)

Tomorrow I shall bedazzle you all with a diet so clean and sparkly you will all need shades to read my post ;-)

So, I couldn't take a day off of working out when all I am doing is sitting at home (we have been having BAD thunderstorms today...yay...maybe it's the end of our drought). So, I did iTread #5 for 60 minutes but I did it walking. I thought I would be bored but I wasn't and I feel like I got a good workout. I did 4.7 miles, so I am thinking that's not too bad. My hip didn't bother me, so maybe my tendonitis is going away.

Just had a sweet potato. Yum! Breakfast was Kashi cereal w/ soy milk (chocolate, of course!). Not sure what the rest of my day will look like. I know there will be fresh cherries because I bought some the other day.
 
Hi there guys!

It feels like forever since I've been here, mostly because I'm ridiculously ashamed of the crap that I've eaten over the course of the past week. I could blame some of it on bday celebrations, PMS and stress, but the only one I'm willing to blame is myself. I had a goal to reach by the 16th and it's just not going to happen...oh well.

Okay, enough pity party. I'm sorry I didn't get to say "hi" to Beavs and ElaineP...Welcome!!! The more the merrier.

Because of some "interesting" developments at work I had a ton of energy to burn this evening when I got home so I did Terminator Imax Extreme on an 8" step (I'm barely 5'1"). Isn't it incredible what stress can do:eek:?!?!? Between the sale of my pony continuing to progress, albeit slowly, and the fact that I finally, after 2 years, got up enough courage to give my boss notice, I was bouncing off the ceiling, including the fan...ouch! I think that probably took care of the piece of carrot cake that I shoveled in my face in a moment of stress-induced binging this morning x(.

Tomorrow I shall begin again, wiping the slate clean and pushing forward.

I certainly have not done well today! I don't even want to tell you what I ate:-( !! But like some of you have said, tomorrow is a chance to start over. Lorie, I think you're the one who talked about Kashi Go Lean cereal with chocolate soy milk. I tried it today, and it is good!!! Thanks for the recommendation. Now if I can limit myself to only one bowl.... Gotta gain some self-control!
I wanted to share something I made for dessert tonight--spiced apples. You slice some apples (the types that are good for baking, like Jonagold) very thin, put them in a pyrex dish, sprinkle Butter Buds, a teaspoon of cinnamon, and about 1/3 cup of brown sugar (I used the Splenda brown sugar blend). Toss the apples in the dish to mix them with the other ingredients, and then cover with paper towel. Microwave for about 4 minutes, rotating dish after 2 mins. Then you can put the warm apples over some low-fat vanilla frozen yogurt--YUM!! Or you can top the apples with whipped cream from the can. Mind you, this recipe is NOT a totally clean one, but I think it could be considered tidy!! It tastes almost like apple pie a la mode! Anyway, I'll be back tomorrow with better eating reports!

This is a LATE check-in but I read everyone's report. I had a mostly good day. Lots of produce and protein. I'm out of my Kashi cereal which I am really bummed about, but Target has it on sale super cheap so I'm going tomorrow to buy out their stock! We ate out tonight and the fam all ordered the ice cream sundae bar for desert. I had a few bites of DD's but kept it portion-controlled and I don't feel guilty about it. A year ago I would've literally punished myself for that but it feels good to have a healthier attitude about food. Now that I allow myself the occasional portion-controlled treat I find myself far less likely to do an all-out binge. (Pats self on the back!) My sis is trying to eat clean too so it helps keep me in check....so does posting here! I'm really trying hard to work out every day even if it's only a half hour.

Well, the AM is not too far away so I'll see you all soon!
