CK Sales Closing

Sad news for those of us who buy from CK sales. I've had an email from them saying that they are closing down. The closing down sale is happening as we speak (only 10% off Cathe's DVD's but alot more off others). Not good news for those of us who suffer import duties in the UK. As far as I know the only place left is Collage.

It is a shame. I've even ordered from them in the past (they didn't charge for Cathe presales until they were shipped).

You could try ordering from www.advancedworkouts.com. I've ordered from them before and there is no import duties to the UK.

So, this just leaves Collage, and Amazon.com for the UK-ers ? Are there any other outlets ?

I may start pre-ordering from Cathe in future ? If you do, do you just get hit with the UPS charge in the UK ?

Apparently, you do get hit. I've never ordered from Cathe direct but others have said they have. I think it's because she uses UPS.

It is a shame as CKSales has some Cathe titles that Collage don't stock.

I think advancedworkouts.com is based in the US, but they ship internationally and they use US mail service rather than UPS (Cathe uses UPS and they deliver to your door, the nice delivery man will then tell you to cough up 30% tax on it). They offer free shipping if you order over $50 (or something like that) and it takes about a week to arrive. You don't have to have PayPal account - I used my credit card. I have only ordered from them once before, but I thought it was good service. It's good if you want to buy Cathe workouts, but for other instructors like Amy Bento, Tracey Stalhe etc. you can order direct from their site (I think, but not 100% certain) and they will deliver internationally too using US mail service. I pre-ordered Amy Bento's new series and she offered free international shipping with the pre-order. I have not received it yet, so I don't know if there will be import duty when it arrives.

I know :-( and I tried to order some yesterday, and I've been pipped to the post :-( . The older Cathe titles at CK Sales are rapidly disappearing :-(

I am so sad about this ;( , it put a real dampner on my day yesterday :-(

I wish Cathe would use an alternative to UPS for us Internationals, I would pre-order through Cathe all the time.

Hi Yen. I ordered 2 Cathe GS DVD's from Advanced workouts. For some reason I had to pay import duties - it was around £14 (including the post office charge), for those in the UK that are interested! Maybe I was unlucky? I know that my very first Cathe DVD's were from her site and I got clobbered for duties on those. I've always bought from Collage and CK sales & a few from EBay. I did write to Cathe's DVD distributors about the Global postage issue during this pre-sale but didn't receive a reply. In the end, I worked out that it would be cheaper for me to wait til the new DVD appears at Collage.
