LAST EDITED ON Dec-01-02 AT 01:33AM (Est)[p]HI all. I have seen a few posts of us all being so busy during the holidays.

I have an idea!!! I was thinking maybe we could help each other out and come up with a kick butt circuit rotation challenge to keep us pumped and feeling good on the limited time we all have! Maybe we could make up a mini 4-week circuit rotation with lots of strength and good intense cardio to help us burn off the treats we eat (and enjoy) over the next few weeks!

I know that I am absoutely slammed both at work and at home over the next month and need to get the most of my workouts particularly with all the extra goodies I'll be consuming :)

Aquajack - seemed that you had some good ideas on circuits?

What do you think?? I think it would keep us all goin' and we'd know that one another was out there doin' the same thing :) Plus we might gain a little sanity thru the holidays!

To help out- a few workouts that count as circuits.

Circuit Max (of course)
Firm, Vols 1,2,3
Power Circuit (CTX)
Body Max Circuit portion and upper body section
Crunch Boot Camp (only half an hour!)

What else is there?

Connie - I can't think of any others??!!

Maybe we could do BodyMax, Circuit Max, Power Circuit and then incorporate the tough cardios like IMAX, MIC, Power Max?? How much extra strengh do we need? Maybe if each week we did something like the following.... where should we put addtl strength if any???

Sunday - Body MAX
Monday - MIC or Cardio Kicks (plus how about PS legs or Leaner Legs here??)
Tuesday - CTX Power Circuit
Wednesday - REST
Thursday - Circuit Max
Friday - IMAX
Saturday - Power Hour or MIS????

The part I have a hard time with is how to incorporate any other strength training??? It would be great to incorporate PS or MIS or PH?? I jsut always get confused on when to do it. I guess ya' just have to listen to your body???

Yeah Pammer -
I think Power Hour goes well with these tapes as does Power Max, Step Works, and Rhythmic Step.

I need to do abs at least twice a week so that's why I often do PSLA, Leaner Lweg, or a CTX tape which contains an ab section. Circuit Max has a great ab section too.

I need to incorporate my Firm Vol. 1 more- it's been at least 6 months since I've done it and that floor work really tones me.

I think the great thing about circuit tapes that mix cardio and weights is that you can get by with fewer workout days per week (for a while) without neglecting anything for too long. Good for those crunch times.

I love Circuit videos:
Here are some others-- many are less difficult than Cathe, but I think that is OK.
Fat Burning Breakthrough (Kathy Smith-- surprisingly tough)
Step Circuit Challenge (Gin Miller--this one has gotten a little too easy for me)
Cardio Strength (Karen Voight)
Burn and Firm Karen Voight--I make this one fromher Sleek Physique DVD)

Ok Pammer, I'm with you on this one. I take my rest day on Sunday, but I will start with Body Max tomorrow. I just can't decide if I like the S&H Series or not. I would prefer the circuit type rotations until the new Intensity Series comes out!!!!

Great Idea!

What a great idea since there are so many distractions in December!

Also consider Firm Cardio, Firm Strength, & Total Body Shaping Mix (one of the few parts workouts I like). They are a bit light on cardio.

Karen Voight has several on the easier side which I tend to pull out when lacking energy. Someone mentioned Cardio Strength. Also Streamline Fitness & (don't laugh) the Personal Best w/ Elle. I loaned Voight's new DVD to my sis (where it's gathering dust) so I don't know whether it fits or not.

RE: Great Idea!

I love circuit training during the holidays too! You're already in a crunch with time, so a short tough workout makes all the difference and helps keep the pounds off IF you stay consistent! Also one less resolution to conquer after the new year starts! :)

This sounds great. I have just started doing Imax twice a week to prepare me for the Intensity Series. Could we fit that into the mix somehow? I do think that a circuit rotation will help us (I hope) get ready for Cardio and Weights and Boot Camp. But that might be wishful thinking. I personally love doing the circuits from CTX Power Circuit and from Body Max back to back. Have fun!

Jillybean, I am doing the exact same thing! I did IMax this morning at 5 o'clock and I must say I did better on Saturday at around 11:00. At least I am doing it though.

What a challenging workout for me. I keep a chart for each time I do it and I mark "d" for "did the interval" or "m" for "modified." On some I have written "almost" and it frustrates me when the next time I have to write "me" ("modified early!")
