I had forgotten just how much I like this workout! I had it on VHS and my VHS player is dying so Cathe was red, and sometimes she flickered out completely. I finally ordered it on DVD and did this again today. Wow! It's the only workout where my heart rate was over 140 almost from the get go. And I love the variety. I really like the step kick box. It's a calorie burner.
 
I have always loved this workout! It has always felt "just right" to me. I like the flow, the music, and the choreography. And I agree, it's a calorie burner! :)

I love Circuit Max. I usually just work my legs during the ciruit as I work upper body on a different day. I just love this one and I always feel so pooped when I am done.

If I don't do Circuit Max (my own version of it) at least twice a month I get the palsy.

If you have the DVD, consider this option: after the 6th resistance on cycle on C-Max, go back to the Top Menu and key in the Cardio Kicks Power Drills segment, and do that. A real blast-way to end the workout.

AJock - that one sounds fun! I did CK today and enjoyed this drills - I never realized I could get my heart rate so high by punching! And then to punch to "Eye of the Tiger" - oh, I feel like I'm ready to take on the world!
 
I haven't done this one in ages. I'm going to schedule all my older Cathe workouts in the next couple of week, circuit max and bodymax and cardio kicks. I'm glad I clicked on this thread. Maybe' I'll convert to DVD too.
 
My only complaint about the DVD is that these are not as well chaptered as the other ones. I would love to be able to just do the Cardio portions without fastforwarding, but you can't. But, for the ability to do it period, I'm happy!
 
This is a keeper! I've had CM for a long time. In fact it it one of the few VHS workouts I have left. Even with using the bike as a substitute for the cardio my HR still ranged from 170-180 at the higher times. Circuit workouts are helpful for breaking thru a plateau and CM is very useful in this way.

I really like the aerobics Cathe does in CM. The whole workout is challenging and fun (got to love the monkey arms!!)

I love Cathes' Hi/low in this as well as Step Blast. I wish she would do a 60 minute Hi/low routine for her next DVD!! I put in the request.
 
I've gotten a wild hair a time or two and did the Hi/Lo from MIC, combined with the Hi/Lo from CM (fast forwarded through the weight stuff and just bounced around), and the Hi/lo from SJP.
 
Wow, that's a good combo, I will have to try that. Maybe Cathe could put all her Hi/Low together for a new DVD. I love the "Hero" routine, I blast the music when it comes on, my kids think I'm nuts.
