Circuit Max reflections

There is just something about this workout. I hadn't done it for a couple of months and decided I needed to reconnect with an old favorite. This was one of my very first Cathe's I bought two years ago after I had just recently had my first son. I remember making my way through each circuit dying, yet so proud of myself that I was doing it. Today, two years later, (and another baby :)) I had a much different experience. The hi/lo sections that I used to dread in the beginning were actually fun today. Especially the second one. I LURVE the "monkey section" where you have to concentrate so hard to stay on the right beat. I actually giggled during that part today. And then when we got to the last step section (which I used to always skip) I said to myself "Yes! Now it's time for some fun!" What in the world has happened to me? Another part in this workout I love if when we are coming back to cardio after weights and Cathe looks as her crew and says "You guys aren't getting tired on me now are you?" And the guy in the back left moves his hands back and forth and mouths something like "Who us? No way." That part had me rolling today. I know I'm a dork, but I really had fun with CM today. Just thought I would share and encourage you to give this one a whirl. Heather

Hi Heather, Wow it sounds like you really had fun. I had Circuit Max for about 2 monthes now and didn't even try it yet. Maybe I'll will try it on Friday ;-)

I love Circuit Max. I find the hi/lo part to be easy. But hi/lo has always been my favorite. The most trouble I have is with the step part towards the end. Maybe it is because I am tired by then.
But I find myself feeling grateful when each circuit is over, only to realize that there is another circuit just has hard as the last one. This is one tape I have never gotten tired of.

Ok, in your honor, I did Circuit Max last night. MAN is that a killer! I make it through the first 4 circuits ok, and then it seems my body is just saying "no more, no more!" From that point on, it's modification for me, or else I won't even finish! Then, at the end, when Cathe whips out the weights & wants you to do planks, it's almost funny!! I'm so spent by this point, but I just keep going - auto pilot, I guess.
Then, when you finish, and are COMPLETELY soaked ... it feels so darn GOOD!!!
I'm so glad you posted, because you inspired me to do a FANTASTIC tape!!!!

Ok, now I really have to try this tomorrow. I did bodymax yesterday, and boy was that a killer}( , and I didn't even do the circuit part because I did legs the day before, so I can see doing this whole tape would really be a killer. Sorry to change the subject but had to share.
