Wanted to make sure you are alright??? How close were you to the earthquake? Heard it was a bad one!! Hope all is well. Your-Friend-In-Fitness, DebbieH :)

all's well with Lora

Hi Debbie,
How nice to see your concern. I'm just fine. I live some 2 hours north of the epicenter. My mother-in-law lives very close and we once lived in Olympia which is down there where they had the most damage.
To be honest with you I didn't even realize at the time we were having an earthquake. I was just getting in my car after finishing up with my first customer. She lives on Puget Sound, and my first thoughts were, "Who's kicking my car?" Then I started wondering if the wind was blowing that hard. Didn't realize what was going on till my customer came to the window and started gesturing that her place was being shaken up. Felt like a dummy until I heard a earthquake geologist on the radio say that he was heading for a seminar on earthquake preparedness when it stuck and he didn't know what was happening either. The affect of being in a car must soften the affect quite a bit.
Hope the other gals are faring so well. Lora

So glad...

...you are okay, Lora! We had a small one here in Ohio quite a few years back. I was sitting in a restaurant with two of my friends and I thought something felt weird. I thought I was getting dizzy and that it was just something wrong with me. I started looking around the room and realized it wasn't just me. The place was swaying just a bit, including the chandeliers. Whew~what a strange feeling. Again, glad you are fine and I hope we hear from Sandovlj & CinDee. Your-Friend-In-Fitness, DebbieH :)

RE: So glad...

This is a tad late (haven't lurked for a couple of days), but thank you so much for checking on us! I guess the Tacoma area (south of Seattle) is situated on rock, so it didn't get as much damage as other areas...especially places with a lot of old structures. I'm just outside of Tacoma, so a few things fell, but that's it. My boys thought it was fun! My oldest was outside and said the ground started waving ("Mom! We were surfing!"). Again, bless you for your concern!
