CHRISTMAS CARD IDEA

I received this email today:

When doing your Christmas cards this year, take one card and send it to this address. If we pass this on and everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these wonderful special people who have sacrificed so much would get.

A Recovering American Soldier

I'm doing it; hope others will too.

Please note that Walter Reed WILL NOT ACCEPT cards and packages! The American Red Cross does have a "Holiday Mail for Heroes" program. For more info you can go to this link http://www.snopes.com/politics/christmas/soldiercards.asp

Great Beavs !

I did find it funny they say not to include a home address but then say that they will return those not postmarked by 12/10 to sender?

Nice the link also has info on how to send gift cards, phone cards, care pkgs. etc.

Happy Holidays to our soldiers, past and present !

Thank you all for posting this!! As you may know, my fiancee lost his leg in Iraq in 2005, so he spent that Christmas at Brooke Army Medical Center. He recieved some of these cards, along with some kid's drawings and we still have them as a reminder of all of the wonderful people that supported him through his time of need. Happy Holidays to all of our active and retired service members!!
