(((((((CHINTASTICA)))))))

Today was cardio and abs and I did 4 DS Bootcamp adding the 6 DM Drills then Weights Abs from Ab Circuits and finishing with the stretch from 4DS BC. I have not done floor ab work in forever and just let me tell you I just really hate it. Workout was 1:15 and I burned 581 calories.

Have DOMS in my glutes and finally my inner thighs. I was not going heavy enough on the plies and just kept upping the weight by 5# each workout and seems I finally got it right.

Linda, nice mix of 4ds bc and dm!! I am with you on not loving ab work. I wonder if I actually did it routinely if I'd learn to like it?

Well, I took another rest day today. I just find Thursdays are so darned busy for me at work that I am physically and mentally drained. Tomorrow is another day!!!

Today was Meso 2 Disc 2 Back & Biceps which had the double wave load sets in it. I hate working back & biceps together, the heavy weights from back work just fatigue my forearms too much before the bicep work.

This morning I did L&G standing premix ~ 40 mins and then CCV4 on the treadmill. I can not go all out on this one because of the foot, but it was better than nothing ;)

Tomorrow is CCPP. I hope I can do it

Linda, you are rocking STS!!!!!

Hey, Catherine, I was thinking about doing CCPP tomorrow, but I have never done it before or listened to it. Is it really hard?

It's like all of the other CC IMO in that you can make it easier or harder by modifying your settings. For me it's tough because it's over an hour on the bike  But I find Jim MacClaren very inspirational! You should give it a try.

Thanks, Catherine. If it's not raining out tomorrow morning I will do it.

Saw the new pictures from Shock Cardio. I am going to need more risers.

I am hoping you can do them too.:D

No CCPP for me today, it was pouring when I got up. And when I run on the TM my left knee immediately acts up.:(.

In truth I didn't feel like doing anything this morning, so I choose IMAX 3.:p:p:p Of course, it was brutal. Workout was 1:00 and I burned 502 calories.

I love it!! I didn't feel like doing anything so let me see uh, I think I'll do one of Cathe's toughest workouts :D Nice job!!

I got a late start this morning. Couldn't get motivated. Once I got going and focused the w/o was over before I knew it. I wonder why it is that CCPP always seem to fall after a leg day for me?? As if an hour on the stationary isn't enough torture for my poor legs

I wonder when Judi will be back around??

I am contemplating doing a P90X rotation. Not sure if I'll finish a month of the GS or start next week. I don't think I'll be able to do Plyometrics but I should be able to do Kenpo. Hmmmmm, not sure about committing to 90 days though. We'll see how far I make it LOL!!

Didn't you commit to 3 1/2 months of STS? I'd like to do p90x someday.

I did complete STS for the upper body only Meso 1 for lower. P90X is, I don't know, different. Actually I looked at the w/o cards and I'm rethinking LOL. Way too many pushups. Tony does no weight work for the chest only pushups

This morning was GS BS&B. I was able to increase my wt by 1/2- 1 pound on just about every exercise. My upper body is fried!!! I need to do some chinups, but obviuosly not today

I'm Back!!:D

I just got home from the cabin but wanted to check in quick to say HI. I have to unpack and a ton of laundry to do. I am happy to report that I ran 4 days and did some body weight & band exercises so not completely a slug:confused: Looking forward to getting back into STS.

Hope everyone is well and you had a great week/weekend. I'll catch up more tomorrow after my w/o.

Catherine - Nice job on GS BS&B! And wow, Tony only does pushups for chest?

Judi - Welcome Back!

This is my last week in Meso 2 and I am ready for a change. Today was Disc 22 - Chest Shoulders & Triceps. This workout included drop sets where you do the first set at 80% rest 10 second drop the weight 20% and do another ten reps then do that again. This workout was only 43 minutes so I added the cardio& Stretch from CTX Step & Intervals. Workout was 1:10 minutes and I burned about 450 calories.

CHEST
Push Up Wide - 10 (these were with 10 second rests)
Push Up Standard - 10
Push Up Wide - 10
Push Standard - 8 (these were to failure and I admit I didn't push real hard because I had a 90# barbell on the rack waiting for me :p)
Flat Bench Press
12/10/8 - 90#
Incline Chest Flys
12/10/8 - 23's
Incline Bench Press
12/10/8 - 73.5#

SHOULDERS
DropSet Overhead Press
10/10/10 - 22/18/15's
Dropset Incline Front Raise on SB
10/10/10 - 14/12/10's
Dropset Seated Lateral Raise
10/10/10 - 18/15/12's
Dropset Rear Delts
10/10/10 - 14/12/10's

TRICEPS
Flat Bench Tricep Extensions
12/10/8 - 44#
Close Grip Push Ups ( with 10 second rests)
10/10
10 on knees
(found these difficult after the extensions)
Dropset Double Arm Kickbacks
10/10/10 - 20/15/12's

Got back into STS today with Disc 16 Chest/Shoulders/Triceps. Not a good idea to take a week off mid-meso. I feel like I lost some ground and struggled where I hadn't before. Weird! Followed up with pilates-based abs.

Linda- WOW...your numbers are so impressive. My flat bench today was only 70# and it was tough:eek: Yes, P90X is all pushups for chest and basically to failure each set. Quite the variety and even includes one handed pushups. Lots of pullup/chinup variations too but at least with back you also have DB work (lawnmowers, rows..)

Catherine- I debated going back to P90X but ended up doing a second round of STS instead. I might do a modified version next time because it did get monotonous after awhile. Great job on CCPP. I missed it this time, being at the cabin, so I'm marking my calendar for next month.

Linda, nice workout!!! I was struggling to bench 90# in Meso 3 and here you are doing it in Meso 2

I think I am taking a rest day today and starting P90X tomorrow. I think **scratches head** Do I sound convinced yet??

I did a few hours of yard work this morning so I guess I'll count that as my workout :p

I didn't even get to 90# in Meso 3:eek:

Judi, I only did by accident. I can't count sometimes when setting up my BB. And I thought man this seems really heavy and I hit failure early. Once I looked I was oh that's why that seemed so heavy  I thought it was 80 pounds. But it showed my I wasn't pushing myself enough LOL!!
