Good morning! Is everyone raring to go? I was supposed to play tennis this morning but it got cancelled. The kids are off and we're going to dye eggs and decorate cookies. I'm doing cardio and yoga later - no chin-ups until at least Monday depending on this stupid rhomboid. It's going to be 81 here today - yippee!!!:7 :7 :7 Have a great day, everyone!:)
 
Hello all!! Been up since 5am x( - dog got scared of some t-storms moving thru the area. Poor baby, she gets so scared.

Well, like I said yesterday, we're off to Cracker Barrell for b-fast and then off to the races :D :D . DH never wants to do anything so this is a treat!!

Will plan to get back on track tomorrow!!!

I just want to say that I'm glad I'm part of the chinup thread, do you know all those cardio haters talk about is donuts, cookies and icecream???? I am SO thankful we are above all that.

Hey Sooooooooooooosan...that chinuper looks like she has some PRETTY long arms, but the rest of her looks to be on the shortish stockyish side. Although I believe stocky may be almost as hard as long and lean. I'm just kind of scrawny with a little too big tush and legs. I've decided to work hard on freestyle to reduce these areas and thereby make me "lighter" to more easily do pullups - capeeeche? (sp)

Catherine..."off to the races"...I"m so proud of you. How many miles will you run? (he he).

I'm not doin chins till tonight. I'm on a late night schedule at present...which is better than NO schedule at all correct?

Have a great day guys...Soosan - YOU REST. It's so true regarding injury and going slow. ALWAYS slow up when you feel a NOT GOOD pain. I'm thinking I may do straight negatives tonight and alter this every few days - I really believe in them!

Hi All,

I must of worked harder than usual on Wednesday, because I really felt it in my back muscles yesterday! I love it! I'm going to work on them later on as I am getting my carpets cleaned right now and then I am off on my bike. It is a beautiful day here in MN.

None today - I got worn out teaching 3 classes yesterday for our fitness center open house, so I'm laying low today. AND eating donuts, which I certainly earned!

Briee, LOL about "how many miles will you run?" I think you should do 12 chin-ups tonight, completing the 12th at exactly midnight.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I did crow (aka "crane") for a count of 51 this morning. That's five-one, sisters! (Not that I would do anything as un-yogaish as count.) As short as one month ago, I couldn't do it for even one second. I should have made it my birthday goal instead of chin-ups!

My cousin lives in St. Cloud and I want to visit her this summer. I'd love to take an AJ class at that time...aren't you in the area as well? It's one of those goals I have in life.

I'm not in a great mood. It's low 80's here, bright sunshine and I've been up with sick boys since 5AM AND I no longer have my pullup bar AND Dick's is out of the Smith machine my DH was going to purchase by Saturday so I could do my chinups (well, attempts) now that my elbow is fine. Will go find some chocolate now and do upper body workout - without pullup bar. Never thought I'd be complaining about NOT doing chinup negatives.:eek:

DH is on the phone to various Dick's in Atlanta area looking for a machine. Think my bad mood might have anything to do with that?

BTW LOL at "noone's been to ER".:7

Yes, let's go biking! And, yes, we could also do A-jocks class. I have done her class twice and it is great!

Soooooooooooosan, crow for 51 sec :eek: :eek: (bows paying homage) I am definately getting stronger but can only hold for about 10 secs at a time. So I fluctuate in and out. But I totally agree doing negatives and chinups has helped with these. Hope your romboid is better soon!


Melody, sounds like a trip to Dick's will be necessary for you to get in your quota of chinups :p Hope your family is well soon and you get your new equip ASAP

OK ladies, I've had two days of rest (so to speak- no exercise, not like I've been sitting on my a$$). I think I really needed it mentally as much as physically. I am sooooo ready to get back at it tomorrow. It's tough for me to workout 6 days a week with P90X it really drains me. Gonna do 3, gonna do 3, gonna do 3,....... psyching myself up 3,........

AND an unlocatable Smith Machine. This alone would push me into severe depression. I once went into MC sports to look at their Smith Machines and then this glorious "cage" caught my eye. Pullup bar with various grips, squat rack and catch bar, etc. AND it was on sale from $650 to $349 - I mean how can anyone in their right mind pass up a deal like this??? THEY EVEN THREW IN A GLAZED DONUT! My dh doesn't let me go into that store without suppervision now. That's a lie...he doesn't let me go in unless I'm blind folded. (Little does he know I have sonar built in when it comes to pullup bars). I'm so sorry you have sick boys - We'd love to cheer them up? The kids and I walked down to the pond today and our children discovered handfuls like "gobs" of frog eggs. You haven't lived until you've had frog egg fights - we'd be happy to box some up and send them if this would help?? It's probably a natural cure - who knows.

Just came up from working out late at night again. 0 - chinups, 0 donuts. One GS leg workout and 3/4 of a turbo jam Fat Blaster and a bit of Cardio Party 3, just to try it. I just couldn't stomach the pullup bar tonight - perhaps tomorrow!!

I wonder how Catherine did at the races??
