Oh Briee, it's been a tough winter for your family so far, huh? Funny how years can go by without anyone getting sick and then BAM! one year it hits you. I'm glad you've found the energy to post a bit, but I agree with Catherine that you should get thee to a doctor and not mess around too long with this junk. I know it's frustrating to stop working out, but you know you'll be back at it as soon as you're well enough.
There's a girl on Weston's (oldest son's) wrestling team who reminds me of what you must have been like at age 14, Briee. She's tiny, but naturally strong and athletic and always smiling. (You gotta hand it to a girl who's willing to join a wrestling team.)
I went to pick him up early from wrestling yesterday and they were all doing these intense sports drills in groups of 2-4, where they went from station to station doing pull-ups, sprints, medicine ball throws, jump roping, vertical jumps, and high-end crunches. (Reminded me of some of the stuff Cathe does.) Because of his weight class (112), he wrestles at every match, near and far (mostly far!). He loses almost every time but is not discouraged and understands how fit this is making him. I keep telling him how I was never very athletic, but because I incorporated fitness into my lifestyle, I'm way more fit and athletic than most of the people my age.
Sorry to ramble, but I love seeing this in him.
