Chest flies, chest press, and breasts...question.

A post on the Ask Cathe forum gave me nerve to ask this question.

First, I lost 40 pounds, and with it went my 'girls'. I went from a 36 C to more like a 32 B or C. (I'm too cheap to go buy new bras just yet so I don't know the exact size.) Let's just say there's not much left on top, and what IS left certainly is not WHERE it's supposed to be.

Now, is there anything that can help lift me back up, quite literally? Are chest flies, chest press, etc enough to work the chest muscles to help lift my breasts?

Thanks!

Gayle

Hi Gayle,

Congratulations on your weight loss! I have found that decline pushups helped me a lot. After two kids gravity definitely took over that area!!

I always make sure to keep incline bench presses and flyes in my chest workouts, they help fill out the upper, inner part of the chest. As Aila said, decline push-ups would also work, as the plane of movement is similar to an incline press (sounds odd, but you are working the upper portion of the chest with both exercises). DON'T do decline presses, though, as that works the bottom area of the chest muscle, which is already worked during flat presses. Working that area too much can lead to a "lowering" look that does not defy gravity.

32 C is "not much left on top"? Puh-leeze!!

Will I surpose if yourve got "alot" then dont have "alot" it can be a shoker. Its not as if they "deflate" in a firm perky way!

As for me "what I havent had, I dont miss" and the only PUSH UP I can think of is the "push up" bra

How useless with help am I? ha ha

You have to stay in shape. My grandmother started walking when she was 60. Today she is 97 and we don't know where the hell she is! - Ellen DeGeneres

Hey. i can sympathize. i was a 38D in November and mine are pretty saggy b/c of prior weight loss, but since i have started Cathe, i have gone down to a 36D. But since i started doing chest regularly, they are a little perkier. }( i'm definately having them done when i lose my weight! But the chest work has helped with the "saggage". that is good news!

Any idea as to how long it will take to have the breast area not so, um, droopy? I'm in the same boat with 40 pound weightloss a few years ago and still am quite droopy.

Thanks!
