{{{{ Cheetahville Super Bowl Sunday}}}}}

Good Morning Chatty Cheetahs!

It’s 7AM and there are NINETEEN posts already? Wow! Well, today is ASCII Circuit 1 with Iron Core tossed in there and some abs of some sort. Then it’s party prep and the SUPER BOWL! GO PATS!!!

Lori – Oh a trip to Vegas! Sounds like fun! Hope it’s in that price range – that sounds about right. But the shows and everything cost $$

Cathy – You do look beautiful in your avatar. My sister is big on BR, so I decided to try them. I like their stuff. It is similar to Ann Taylor in some ways – I like the Loft a little better as I don’t really need to dress up, but it’s not bad to do so every now and again. :p I had fun shopping. Enjoy your run!

Wendi – Oh I hope your foot is better soon!!! Can you maybe do upper body weights or something? Thanks for the info on the step on the BOSU. I’m excited to try them! I’m also thinking that maybe doing a Power Circuit blast from BM1, BM2 and CTX on the BOSU would be fun. Oh, I hope I’m swimming in the skirt in a few months. That would mean I’m at my goal size! :p And GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PAAAAAATS!!!!!!!

Sunny – Oh! The Cruise is official?!?! YAY! It starts on my BDAY, too – maybe I can talk DH into going for a BDAY present! Unfortunately, I never needed a reason to shop. :p But it’s nice to have one! LOL about DH and the moving. Mums the word! :p Enjoy your Turbo Jam workout. Might have to invest in them (through Wendy of course)!

Wendy – Happy to hear you found the thread right away. I was at stand by – as soon as I got up! :p Oh, have FUN with your X+ rotation! Sounds like you ordered some great workouts! It IS the best feeling in the world, BTW! I was soo happy. I haven’t been this weight in 2 years, and that was briefly.

Carole – I think IMax 2 on the BOSU is only tough because the BOSU is actually 10 inches. It’s really fun and modifiable. Glad to hear DH is still doing the exercises. I said that I think the Pats will win it all, but I’m not 100% sure. The Giants have been playing very well. We’ll see. I have blue nail tips, so if the Pats don’t win, I might have to get them redone so DH doesn’t go into depression every time he sees them. :p

Well, must be off and get moving. I always get a bit stressed when I host parties and this one is looking to be huge! I’m looking forward to a nice long workout to help with the nervousness. Have a great day everyone!

lori-you DEFINTELY have to make it to vegas at some point. it's SO MUCH FUN!!! carole and shelly were just there to run together in the vegas marathon. i was supposed to go *sniff sniff* (it's a looooong story) but i didn't get to. anyway, go if you can. it's fun! good for you getting up sooooo early on a sunday to work out!

cathy-ITA with everyone else. you are one good lookin' cheetah. see why we thought you should be hottie cheetah?! if you lived here, i would have a ton of guys fighting for you! not sure about the super bowl wager thing. i am thinking the puppy bowl will be a lot more fun. i am so not an NFL person!!!

wendi-DO NOT WORK OUT WHEN YOU ARE HURTING!!! look, this is coming from me (miss cardio addict) but i have realized that doing something when you hurt only makes it worse. my whole hip thing really started when i did that run on christmas day. it started hurting at mile 2 but i have a tradition of doing a long run on that day and didn't stop until 11.4. AND IT HURT THE WHOLE TIME!!! s, what happened after that? the orthopedic surgeon, shots, physical therapy, an no running. please let yourself heal. do other things. maybe you could do the boxing parts of kickboxing. that's what i did and got a really great workout. i am still not going to run very much until i get the "all clear."

sunny-sounds like you had a fun night last night. mmmmm...sushi. i could eat it every day! i love the brown rice sushi at whole foods. sorry you couldn't find a movie you both wanted to see. i am still dying to see "27 dresses" but haven't had the chance. let us know about the cruise!

wendy-defintely get back to me on the running thing. that is so weird about your ears. what's the mental block about? especially with having your belly button done. i have that and it hurt while it was being done. maybe you just don't really want to do it. wish i could be there to go with you and give you support. nope, no pain in my hip today...yeah! i will call my doc this week and see what he says about that.

carole-the hip is feelin groovy today! yay! i'm not going to be stupid and run again (although you KNOW i want to!). i love good soups. especially in the winter. interesting about the pain free stuff. i have to start reading that book!!!

christine-i am sure your party will be great!!! let us know how it goes.

i never got to legs yesterday. we ended up taking all five dogs to the dog park. they had SO MUCh fun! i am thinking about bosu blast today and legs. i also didn't get to do my yoga last night so i want to fit that in somewhere. BF is going to watch the game and i'm not that into it, so i will probably do it then.

Hello again, cheetahs!

Enjoyed a refreshing 3 mile run on a beautiful day followed by the instructional segment of Iron Core Kettlebell – yes, you read right! I took the plunge and SO impulsively purchased a 15 lb. k’bell + the IC DVD while at Target this morning. (Sunny, you must be LYAO right now. It took less than 48 hours for me to be ready to be enabled. *lol* I fig’d why not? It was only a matter of time, anyway. :7) Wrapped up with 4 assisted chin-up and 3 pullups, continuing to work the negatives.

Lori ¨ *lol* Wow, you really *don’t* have a clue, do you? Even *I* know who’s playing! ;) (That's because my students told me. :7) Hmm, cappuccino brownies sound de-lish. Enjoy!

Carole ¨ No DOMS from LL? I’m in awe…That would be awesome if you could get to meet Egoscue. I will keep my eyes peeled for it next time I am at the bookstore. Enjoy the game. All this talk of soup is making me in the food for a good crab bisque.

Judy ¨ I like your colorful post.

Christine ¨ OK, I admit—I’ve done a good chunk of the babbling this morning. :7 Oh, I didn’t realize you were hosting the party! I’m a Loft fan, too, but have been finding more at AT these days. I poked around on the BR site. May have to pop in there soon. I picked up a number of tops at good ol' Tar-zhay today, actually.

Lorie ¨ What is the Puppy Bowl? 27 Dresses does look cute.

OK, that catches me up, I believe.

cathy- why yes i am LMAO:7 :7 . sooooooo, why did you think?

lori- those brownies sound so delicious:9 :9

christine- the cruise is official. i will post the link once it's up and running. it would be fun to celebrate your bday with you!! thanks for keeping my secret:p :+

carole- dh and I had a nice date night, thanks. have fun watching the superbowl with your sisters!

I figured you would find it amusing! :7 When I picked it up in the store and swung it around, I thought this DOES seem cool. That was all it took. *lol* I don't know why, but I go to that aisle every time I am in Target, and it's just plain dangerous!!! :7 After doing the instructional segment, let's just say I am glad I started with the 15!!! :) And now I understand the whole wrist band thing. I thought it was just a fashion statement at first. :)

The cruise sounds awesome. My family is actually in the planning stages of booking a cruise for my mom's 60th this summer. However, we've been on a cruise to Cozumel and Grand Cayman before, and I know everybody wants to go someplace different this time. Sorry! Otherwise, that might have worked for us. But I'm still hopeful about a cheetah GTG of some kind in '08.

ETA: Oh yeah--I wanted to thank you all for the nice words about my avatar pic. You cheetahs sure know how to make a girl feel good! :* Much love to ya's!

Christine...you have me laughing with the blue nail tips. Hopefully your DH won't have to be depressed. I am sure your party will go very well...:)

Lorie..trust me, I know exactly how it feels wanting to run more!! I have been eating a ton of soup!!

Cathy...I must be the only cheetah without a Bosu!!! And a kettlebell...:)..Good workout. LL usually does give me some DOMS. I have been enjoying a lot of soups lately. Not sure Pete would be in Sac but I am sure the info at a clinic would be worth the trip.

I had a good 6 mile run. Hip was just a bit tight on the last couple of downhills like last week. needing some food and a shower...:)

Hey Super Cheetahs

I just finished Cardio Coach Choose Living on the EXT. I clocked in 7.5 miles in 75 minutes and I'm counting it as yeaterday's long run.

Lori- I hoep you get to LV. DH and I really like it there. Those brownies sound dangerous.

Carole- Ok the run wasn't painful! You must be making progress with the new exercises. Hi five for Dh for sticking with them. We went to a great little townie restaurant after church this morning. I just had to have pancakes and real syrup. Well that does it for my grains today. DH and I are staying home during the game so I'll cook a healthy meal probably shrimp over a large Caesar salad. (I'll skip the croutons)

Lorie- have fun doing legs and or yoga during 'the game' So are you still pain free after the run yesterday?

Wendi- I am sorry about your ankle symptoms. I think rest is smart for now. But you can always do mega abs and upper body and even some legs.

Wendy- I hope you like the new x rotation. This week is my 3rd and final week of S&H then a recovery week.

I haven't bought a bosu DVD yet. But I think it will be CIA double cardio.

So Waldo is back and he cries at night! (our youngest kitty, who thinks he is the alpha cat, bullys him.)Of course I getup and comfort him, but he gets no treats at night. He has even been in and out all today during the day, a first. He is slowly becoming a resident here.

Sunny- your cruise sounds fun. It is doubtful that I would get DH to agree on it though.

Christine- I missed that you bought a new skirt in a smaller size! Way to go!

Ok I am off to make chicken wing dip for DS to take to his friend's house and hopefully some internet cruising.

Hey Cheetah Babes!:+

I did Total Body+ today and LOVED it!}( Great combo of moves. It moves pretty quickly too which also raises the heart rate a bit. It's light on the leg work though (even lighter then the original X) so I have to find a suitable spot for an extra leg work out. Right now I am thinking it will fit in nicely before Tuesday's cardio session. I can keep both the cardio to 20-30 minutes and the leg work to about 30-45 mins each and get it all done efficiently.:) I'll probably rotate between Cathe's leg work outs, BBC legs and perhaps Legs and Back (w/o the back work).

Lori: How'd those brownies come out?? They sound yummy! If they are good you will need to pass the recipe on!!!:9

Carole: No worries on the Tracey work out. I take it you do not care for it?

Christine: How many people are you having over for the game? ENJOY!

Lorie: I thought about running out this afternoon to get the ears done but I haven't set foot outside yet! LOL At this point it's not gonna happen b/c now I'm cooking supper for DH so he can eat before the game. I have not forgotten about looking up that info for you! I'll do it soon!

Cathy: So you caved on the kettle bells huh? It's so nice to see so many people caving before me! ;) :p :7 Glad you got a nice run in this morning.

Well, that about wraps it up for right now...BBIAB!:)

Judy: We were posting at the same time. I would have loved to do a third week of S&H but I didn't want to push the X rotation off again. I'll get back to it later in the year but first I have to do a NROWL4W with Sunny after the X!:)

okay, workout report before the game (which i will be pretending to watch to keep DBF company):

HSC (all) on the bosu w/ light leg weights
KPC kicking and punching premix
Legs and Glutes (hence the light legs on HSC)

i did the first two this morning, then we ran errands and i just got done with L&G.

okay, i REALLY gotta shower!!!

Judy – I am glad Waldo came back!

Wendy – Glad you liked P90X+! I was afraid it looked light on the legs! I added in a second leg day on the original, also.

Lorie: I was just looking in my book and there is no reference to how much fat you burn but it does have a chart that shows approximately how many calories you will burn in 10 minutes of running depending upon your weight and your speed. The amount of cals increases by about 8 cals on average for every mph in speed you increase and the more you weigh, the more calories you will burn overall. HTH some.

ETA: I believe that in any aerobic activity, the lower your HR during the activity the higher % of the cals you burn comes from fat BUT if you work harder thereby increasing your HR then you burn more total calories. Just thought you might find that useful as well!

Hi Linda!

Yeah, the leg work is super light in this one. I will be heavying up on the weights for whatever lower body work I can while doing TB+ and I will be doing Core Syn on a pretty regular basis which always leaves me with DOMS in the lower half but I still most definately need an additional leg torture session each week!}(

Cathy,

Glad your KB impulse appears to be as good as the bosu one was! You KNOW I will eventually cave and buy a KB and a vid. I picked one up while in Woodbridge Mall with my BF a week or so ago. I was tempted but really had no clue how heavy to go nor did I know if I only needed one or two and had no idea about the vids. Now that I have some info from reading so much about it lately I know I'll be caving...it's just a matter of when! LOL

:7 Yup. I hear you. Today I realized there is just no sense in fightin' it anymore. Whatever the cheetahs endorse, sign me up. Resistance is futile. :7 :7 :7

But had the k'bells been as expensive as I originally thought, I probably would have held off just a tad longer.

This is the latest thing that caught my eye. I must need my head examined.
