:::CHEETAHVILLE:::Saturday

Christine: Thanks re: the cheat. :) You are absolutely right about making good or better choices in tough situations. I thought I was the only crazy person who chases their dog around the yard. :) It literally cracks me up! She does these really funny twirls. Too cute. I am getting excited for your race tomorrow. What time is it at? Sorry DH was being a pain last night. My DH has his moments, that's for sure!

Dallas: It is always so nice to see you! :) You are doing great with your running. I have been thinking of your family.

Shelly: Enjoy your quality time with DH!!! Glad the paperwork is coming to an end. :)

Cathy/ wt2: :) Dang it, I hate when the Internet is all bungered up! Hope is gets fixed soon. Yeah, there is no use in wallowing in self pity. Is wallowing even a word? I have never written it before. It's always good to save a little money. Have a fantastic long run tomorrow!! :)

Wendy: Nice KB workout there! The run was tough today! Any plans for the weekend?

Jackie: I really like Itread 12/45 min. I have accepted missing the race. You are totally right about the gas money thing! :) My run was nice, but tough. It is just so humid out. I will not be happy when I can't get on Cathe.com. Oh well. It sounds like it will be awesome!!!

The run was beastly. I ran 7 miles in 69:30. The humidity is brutal today. I was literally sopping wet when I was finished. Gross, I know. I then proceeded to fully clean the house and the sun porch and it has taken me all day to do. Our dearest friends are coming over for a few CABs. They know we are not the neatest people in the world and love us anyway, but it just needed to get done. Needless to say, I am exhausted right now. My friend's son will be coming who is going into the Air Force in two weeks and they will also be bringing their English Setter pup. Ellie likes him and will play with him, but sometimes he annoys her!! It is so funny to watch. I have to call a friend who's in distress and get ready, so I gotta get moving! Have a great night ladies.

Wow, Cheetahs! I logged on and I’m smiling ear-to-ear from all of the support and well wishes! You ladies are the absolute best!! I am grateful to each and every one of you!!! I picked up my packet at the fitness expo, but I have to say there was not a lot there, which surprised me. I’m used to the runner’s events that are huge marketing ops for sportswear, etc. Oh well, save some $$ that way. I decided to wear my company cycling clothes (yes, I belong to a company who has official cycling clothes – it’s pretty cool). I like the jersey and shorts, so I’ll just be wearing them (fortunately, due to my weight loss recently, they even look decent!). Saves me money, too. I have my shoes, helmet, camelpack, etc. I’m ready to go!

Wendy – I like The EKB Cardio Workout by Keith Webber – it moves a little fast, but holy cow do you get a lot in in 30 minutes. LOVE the ab section after the TGU’s! OUCH! I have the big silly putty hammer out, but he’s still being a jerk. I’ll just hang with the gang tomorrow at the ride – there is a group of us from work going, it will be fun. The trek was fun. But the expo was kind of boring. X(

Shelly – Aaaaawww! Thank you!!! I appreciate the cheers, and the very sweet words!! Enjoy your time with DH – you deserve it!

Cathy – I so appreciate the cheers! I’m pumped up, too. I’m really looking forward to this ride!! Interesting that you haven’t heard from Lance’s coordinators yet. I hear back pretty quickly. You might want to try again. You can get a technical shirt from the foundation – they’re pretty cool actually – and an indelible marker is your friend. :p DD15 arrived safely and she’s enjoying herself in the Great White North (well, green this time of year). I always think of Lillian Braun and “The Cat Who…” series when I hear Minnesota. Maybe I’ll pull some of those off the shelf and enjoy some time with Jim and Koko reading about where my DD is! :p

Jackie – got your email and consider it done!! I enjoyed PUB up. I think I’m going to add that one of my rotation for a bit. It’s fun. Glad you enjoyed your iTread!!!

Thomasina – I hear ya! As soon as I’m done here, I’m going to go hug my pooches, and be glad that I have my house, my family and pets. You made a very good point. I don’t like hearing about the dogs, either. People have a choice, dogs, don’t. I so hope they were not locked in the house – that would be the worst! Poor things. Thanks for the cheers!!! I appreciate it sweetie!! I’m glad you reminded me about the Red Cross – I’m going to donate what I would have spent on a new cycling outfit to them.

Gloria – Nah – another certified crazy dog chasing person here. Jimmy does the circle thing, too. He’ll also jump at me and bark. And pick up a stick and race around the yard as if he’s possessed. Weird dog. :+ Race starts at 7:30 tomorrow. I’m getting up at 5:00 to give me time to wake up, have breakfast and relax before I get ready. :p Good job on the beastly run!

I *HEART* the CHEETAHS!!! Best darned group of ladies I’ve ever had the pleasure to “meet”.

Wendy..I have called the turkey other names but birdzilla works!...:D...I have had turkeys before but never mean ones like this one, he seems to forget I have a 38...

Gloria...I bet porcupines can be kinda nasty too. Do they have ANY predators? That sounds like a tough run in the humidity, and then cleaning house! I bet you are beat. I hope you have a great evening with friends.

Christine...we have some high humidity too! Our local fires here I would doubt would make your news. It has been fairly smoky all day. Funny turkey story. As I told Wendy, we have had turkeys but never a mean one like this one. I had to pepper spray him once to get him out of my backyard! Hope you get some good rest today..:)...Good news about Chicago!!

Dallas...thanks for checking in and WAY to GO on the 10 miles despite Big Bertha!! Glad to hear you were feeling so good during the run.

Cathy...sorry about your dsl issues...I would so hate that. Don't be sorry about not remembering the chickens silly...not even a problem...:D

Jackie...I was in the south (Southern Calif) until 2 days after I got married. I have been a country girl in the north ever since! Thanks for your prayers and hugs, they are so appreciated. The smoke is just depressing. Good job with Grace, Cathe and foam rilling.

Posh...you are so kind with the donations...:)...it really is tough not to whine with all this smoke. And I hate reading stories like that one too. So incredibly sad. Hope you will get your run in outdoors tomorrow.

I enjoyed Kenpo+ and got a bit sweaty to due to the higher humidity. I am really feeling the Abs/core workout as in "feeling it work the muscles"...:D

wendy...i understand. just felt bad that your mood was so intense, it spoiled a race for you. :(

posh..oh, you are so NOT whiny!...our california cheetahs have been enduring smoky conditions and the stress of the potential threat for weeks now, and that would wear on anybody! i think it's just plain awesome that you are doing for others. love ya! fingers are crossed you can take that long run outside tomorrow.

jackie...proactive is good. that's how i'm trying to be with this calf. same leg i had the AT and i DON'T want to go THERE again. moving the long run back to sunday wasn't an issue in the least--all is good. :) It was probably better actually to run AFTER being adjusted since my last long run gave me some pains... good to know about shred. love hearing cheetah opinions on the workouts i'm curious about. i like to keep some on hand too for those days when lighter intensity is needed.

gloria/wt..:)...wallowing is a word and ITA with you..see, this is why we're triplets :7 ....good run in the humidity..that makes it so much tougher...have fun w/ your friends tonight!

christine....actually i did get a touch-base email but nothing beyond that, and i did not follow up..glad dd15 is enjoying herself...i've heard of those books but have never read them. nothing against cats but im not sure i want to read a whole novel about one. :) lol...looks like i have a problem with double posting too. :7 hey thats awesome you can rock those bike shorts with confidence! the spoils of hard work do feel good!
in case i dont get to check in tomorrow before you leave, best of luck as you ride in mom's honor. you will be in my thoughts as i'm on the road.

carole, carole, carole :7 :7 :7 can i just say i totally LOST IT on the comment about the 38. i'm talkin i was laughing hard for a good five min. Utterly HILARIOUS!!

ok, gn, everyone!

Carole – Oh you’re killing me with this Turkey!! Good thing you’re vegetarian!! :p It’s going to be a little humid tomorrow, but it’ll be fine. Yes, I’m excited about Chicago now. I wasn’t really looking forward to being there for a full week – regardless of how much I like the town.

Cathy – Well, not sure I’m ROCKIN’ the bike shorts – those are not too flattering on anyone, but hey – they look better than they did. I’m happy with that. :+ “The Cat Who…” series is a mystery series where Koko, the cat, seems to know whodunit – but it’s done in a way that it MIGHT be coincidence. But the whole book isn’t about him. It’s cute, but very light reading. :p

Edit to add - YAY! Succesful SINGLE post! I'm stoked!
