Cathlete
Morning, cheetahs! :)

I'm up super early for my interview @ UPS, which'll be followed by a bunch of errands. I think later today I'll try out Yoga Burn.

Will be back later for personals, I promise! Have a great day, everyone!

~Cathy :)

Good luck with your interview, Cathy, what is the position you are seeking?

Let it Snow - let it snow - let it snow......oh wait that's a Christmas song, well....that's what it look like outside my window :-( We are getting snow showers and a few inches already on the ground. I'm waiting to hear about school, I hope it's not canceled because then the fights are on whether to make it up or not and I don't have the energy for that kind of fight.

I did a CC workout on the elliptical last night - felt great - then I did planks during the commericals of American Idol.

Tonight is circuit class unless school is canceled then we can't hold it since it's at the school.

My "student" in class is VERY motivated and is following my plan for her to a tee with some additions of her own when she has time. I hope she doesn't get burned out I'm sure part of it is she's in the "honeymoon stage" so it's all exciting and fun. I'm trying to keep her motivated, though.

Well, I'm off to check and see if there is any announcement yet. I'll be back.

Marcia.

Hi Friends :)

::Cathy:: Are your interviewing for a new position? (Instead of teaching?)

::Marcia:: Yikes measurable snow in April! That weather system is headed east. Hopefully it will weaken by the time it gets here.

:: Christine:: The thought of a tropical drink is putting me in vacation mode. DH and I leave on April 27th for our trip.

Ok, time to get moving downstairs to do some light legs, then take DS to feed our neighbors dogs (he is dog sitting this week) and then a run.

Ta Ta,
Judy "Likes2bfit"

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

Hi ladies.

Marcia-yowzas on the snow! In April. No thanks! LOL. Although they are calling for some for us in a day or 2. GO AWAY! LOL

Cathy-I'm curious about the UPS position also!

Judy-how's the stray cat doing these days???

For me....up early this morning. DFiance stayed the night and I made him promise me he'd kick me out of bed when the alarm went off. Good man, cuz he did, despite some whining on my part. lol. Poor guy...took a verbal beating from me too! LOL BUT....I'm glad he stuck to his guns. I hit the basement and 7 miles later I was happy as a clam again.

Gotta go....I've got some quiet time this morning and I need to get this house back in shape. BBL

Gayle

Good Morning Cheetah Babes!

I’m relaxing this morning because I know my co-worker will drag me kicking and screaming *LOL* to the spin class this afternoon. One workout is good enough for today. Might do a little stretching this morning, but that’s about it.

Cathy – Interview with UPS? For what? A summer job? I have my fingers and toes crossed for you!

Marcia - wow, we’re getting some rain today which is a little late in the year, but not snow!! A CC AND planks during commercials? That’s impressive! Glad to hear your student is very motivated! That’s very exciting!

Judy – Oh – where are you going on your trip? A trip to the tropics sounds heavenly. No travel for me this year unless a four legged baby goes along! Enjoy your day.

Gayle – He must really love you! My DH would never agree to that! :+ Good job on the 7 miles!! Enjoy your quiet time! Isn’t that precious?

Hello to all who follow!!

Good morning Cheetahs!

Cathy - Good luck with your interview! I was going to ask the same question as Judy, would this be instead of teaching?

As far as workouts, yesterday I ran my 4 miler. Today I will do weight training. Not sure what yet. Lately I've had to make myself do it. It is funny, I either love cardio or weights, but not at the same time. Right now I love cardio. Currently I'm trying to come up with a rotation for after my HM. I want to keep running and try to increase my speed for my 10K on July 4th, but I know I need to start seriously hitting the weights. Has anyone tried M&F Hers Look Great in 8 Program? The program interested me when it first came out in '02, but then I forgot about it. Anyway, I've been thinking about it once again. The hard part with my workouts are the time constraints. I need to make sure I can fit all of my workouts in a 45-50 minute time frame, which is challenging since I always want to do so much more. If only I can get up early like some of you ladies do. I could get so much more accomplished.

Well, I'll try to BBL. Work is soooooo busy. I'm lucky that I get to go to lunch these days.

Waves to All Cheetahs!!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...sounds like you had a great day at the spa! What a way to spend your B-Day, oh yes, besides doing CST and ARX! Good luck with the UPS interview. So this will just be for summer?

Marcia... sounds like you are getting blasted with snow. Good Elliptical workout last night. Who do you like in Amer Idol?

Judy...it is getting close for your trip! Enjoy your workout.

Gayle...good job with the 7 mile TM run.

Wendy...YogaX was always a tough one for me to do in its entirety after a few times...seemed to monotonous.

Shelly...how nice DH rigged things up so you can talk while you ride! Hope you had a good interval run yesterday. I did get my taxes done yesterday...:)...

Susan...wow! 11 animals...Hope you had fun at the show. Good workout too yesterday.

Christine...yes, you do forget how tough Core Syn is until you try it again! Your comment about the "Name Game" and Tucker had me laughing. I think Jimmy works well in the name game...:)..I heard Jimmy's "Margarita" song yesterday...Enjoy your spinning today.

Sunny...I bet the kids will miss you two. But I think it is good that parents can get some time away...

Linda...sorry about the TM holdups. I hope it gets taken care of today!

Today is GS C&T, abs, GS floorwork and 40 min on my EXT.

Have a great day...:)

Good morning ladies,

cathy- i too have the ask the same question as everyone else. good luck with your interview!

marcia-where do you live? snow in april..yikes

gayle- what a good df you have! good job on the early morning run.

carole- enjoy your workout today. i have DOMS in my hammies from yesterday's gs legs. how are your legs?

judy- you are going on vacation right after me!

christine- did i miss it? when do you pick up your new pups? YAY!!!

kristi- you signed up for another race...good for you!! i have not done the look great in eight however like you i've thought about it for a long time. i am pondering what rotation i will follow once i return from my vacation. how are your little ones doing?

linda- got my fingers crossed that you receive your new treadmill today.

today's workout will be my new one from tracey staehle, kickboxing. this will be my first time trying one of her workouts and i'm very excited:)

have a great day ladies:)

Let us know how you like Tracy's workout. I don't have much DOMS from GS as I am doing Freestyle and going lighter on the weights, but the floorwork can get my hammies a little sore...:)

Good morning everyone!!

Carole - Love the graphics you add to your posts! Are taxes all finished?

Wendy - Thanks. Think if I didn't put rotations together, my workouts would be all willy nilly. Then, I might skip a few. Don't like having to think about what I'm going to do.

Shelly - You're becoming quite the biker girl. Still waiting for pics. Guess the 65 year old has had more years to train, huh? Hope you had a good interval run. Sorry you have to go to meetings on your days off.

Susan - Wow!!! 11 pets!! You are a good one. I had to fish sit for my BIL once. I was afraid I was going to forget about the little fella. But, he survived.

Christine - The only easy thing about Core Syn is the end. LOL!!! Extra money is always good. Like the name of the new puppy.

Sunny - Hope you came up with a way to ease your little one's mind about your vacation. Interested in how you like Tracy's workout. I want to get Sculpt Sweatfest.

Linda - Did the treadmill arrive yet?

Marcia - More snow? Sounds like you and ds found a nice way to spend the day.

Cathy - Good luck with your interview. That will be a nice little summer gig.

Gayle - Good for the fiance to get you out of bed. Now, you owe him a big ol' hug and kiss.

Kristi - It's always hard to fit everything in that we want to do. Hope you come up with a good plan. How fast do you want to run the 10K?

I did a quick warm up on the elliptical and 50 walking lunges. Then, it was a 5 mile run and Winsor Pilates Buns & Thighs. It's been awhile since I did B&T and it hurt. OUCH!!

Happy Hump Day!

Jackie

Hi ladies,
I’m back from the interview & my errands…The UPS job would have been PT for the summer only. (I absolutely love teaching, so no way do I have plans to exit the profession!) But I decided it’s not for me. I don’t mind hard physical work, but the downside is that you have to join the union & pay $250 in initiation fees. Making only $9/hour, it just wouldn’t make sense for me to work there for only 10 weeks. For anyone looking for *long-term* PT or FT work, though, it sounds like a great company to work for. But it is clearly hard, hard labor! So, I’ll keep looking…thanks for all the good cheetah vibes.

Gayle :: Physically, I do feel like I’m back in the shape I was at 23 instead of feeling my now-33 years, so I’m with you on the young, spry cheetah thing! *lol*…WHAT? Snow?? I hope that’s just for you folks west of the city!…Great job getting up early and bangin’ out those 7 miles.

Wendy :: your rotation looks great! I previewd a couple of the BBCs (which I rec’d last night) – they look interesting. The massage felt AWESOME…she really worked into my shoulder blades and worked out some kinks there. Next month’s massage will be the hot stone therapy. I’ve only ever done Swedish, so it’ll be nice to change it up even though it is more money…Hey, 30 min. of YogaX is a decent workout, IMO.

Jess :: from your signature, I take it you are hitting the big 3-0 next month…Ya know, that number didn’t really phase me…it turned out to be a great year for me. I started a new tradition on my 30th where any milestone birthday now means a getaway out of town. It was an absolute blast! You strike me as someone who is very frugal when it comes to spending on yourself, but if you can swing it, I highly recommend if not, say, a weekend getaway for you & DH, then maybe a spa day like what I did yesterday. It was AWESOME!…Yes, I do like the foam roller although I found it uncomfortable at first. It is completely different than The Stick…Too cute about the weasel in Kiersten’s chest. Poor thing. I can’t wait til you start the X…The new avatar looks great…Will check out the rest of the new pics in a bit.

Linda :: fingers crossed it all works out with the TM today! Sorry you have to leave work early. I’m surprised they were not better-prepared.

Jackie :: I guess what happens is that once you move up to Cathe, everything else becomes kinda easy. I still have my Firm workouts, too, but I haven’t gotten back to doing one in over a year. I think it’s good to keep a variety on-hand.

Carole :: funny, the talk about the taxes…I picked up an anal habit from my dad…I always make Valentine’s Day my own personal deadline for taxes. The nice thing about that is that I get my return lightning-quick, esp. now with online filing. I won't be using H&R Block again, though - that was a nightmare this year!

Shelly :: That is so cool that you & DH can talk while riding…Yesterday’s adventure sounds scary, though! Just proves what a tough cheetah you are!…Enjoy your four-night stretch – hope the meetings are quick & painless!

Susan :: 11 pets??? I think there’s gotta be a point where you draw the line. *lol* I have had a few past students tell me they had that many animals living in the house, and I cannot imagine the noise & chaos that must go on in homes like that.

Christine :: I agree, CS is *not* easy…I guess I expected that it would be b/c it’s during Recovery Week. Glad it gave you a good workout. *lol* about the Name Game. Jimmy sounds like a fitting pick…I’ll raise my Sambuca glass to that. (German tradition requires that you do a few schnapps whenever you have double-digits, i.e. 22, 33, 44, etc., so that was my poison of choice last night.)…Chuckled at the visual of you being dragged kicking & screaming to spin class.

Sunny :: sorry to hear about another not-so-restful night…Is this the first time you & DH will be away from the kids for so long?…Try not to feel too guilty – I think it’ll be healthy for all involved to let mom & dad get away for a little bit.

Marcia :: glad to hear your student is so fired up! She sounds fully committed to change. Did you wind up having school?

Judy :: enjoy your legwork + run!

Kristi :: That’s funny – right now, I’m brainwashed on the weights (thanks to Tony) and am shying away from cardio, which I can hardly believe about myself. I’m not familiar with the M&F Hers program you mentioned. How’s the big project coming along?

OK, let me take a stab at some schoolwork. BBL!
Cathy :)

ETA: Jackie, I missed your post. Sounds like a great workout! How long is the WP B&T?

Sorry about the job, Cathy! I'm sure that something will come up for you though! Wow, that's an early interview!

Yep, I'll be the big 3-0 next month. I had actually planned on going out of town for my bday, to run the half marathon!!! But now that those plans are cancelled, my dh & I are planning an evening out w/ our best friends & going to see Spiderman 3 (it opens that day! ;-)) Yes, I am very frugal, gotta be when you're a SAHM on a budget! It seems the only things I buy for myself are exercise-related. :p I guess that's my *hobby*. Greg & I have talked about getting away for a weekend, but that's hard to coordinate w/ 3 kids to take care of. I figure that's the bonus to having kids early in life, we'll still be young enough when they're out of the house to enjoy traveling then! I am going to a ladies retreat on Fri & Sat so he'll be in charge while I'm gone. }( He really does great w/ the kids & is a wonderful Daddy, but I'm sure the house will be a mess when I get home!! Anyway, probably more info than you asked for! ;-)

As for WP B & T, it's about 20 min if you do the DVD, but I've had it memorized for so long that I do it while watching tv in the evenings. I also do it w/ my ankle weights on which is even better. ;-) Have a good day!

G'morning Cheetahs! Yucky rainy day here today! Possibly turning to snow later! I ended up having to drive Hannah to school, I guess the bus came so early that we missed it? No big deal. Kiersten's home again, she was running a temp again last night & is still coughing out the weasels. :7 :7 She & Allison are having fun playing Barbies this morning. It's so nice when they get along (which isn't all of the time! :p ).

I'm going to do some of KM this morning. I'll skip the blasts because of my calf & will definitely do the leg conditioning drills. I feel great after PH & CoreMax y'day. I'm going to try to get in some more Mr. YP yoga this afternoon.

Hope you're all having a nice day! Thanks for the compliments on my pics! It isn't the best pic of Greg in the avatar, but we don't seem to get that many pics taken of just us.

Jackie ~ I love B & T too. It's one of my all time favorite WP workouts. Effective but quick! I use my ankle weights to add to it & do it at night while watching tv (I have it memorized, haven't actually watched the DVD in a long time!). Gotta love those walking lunges too, always effective! Sounds like you have a good routine going! Good job!

Hi I'm checking back in for a quick visit

Gayle:: The stray, whom I have named Waldo, was hanging around outside last evening. DH was inside alone and DS and I went to go feed our neighbors' dogs. When we arrived home Waldo was in the kitchen, but he ran out the cat door when he heard us.

Christine:: We are going to Jamaica

OK my workout is complete. I did L&G (all ankle weight work) and 60 minutes on the EXT with avg HR 180. The read out said 7.3 miles. The stretch at the end felt great.

OK DD in NY is IMing me. BTW her show was on MTV last night. It was disgusting, but it pays her bills. it was called "Scarrd." I finally got to see her name on the credits at the end. (proud Mama moment)

Judy "Likes2bfit"

http://www.smileyhut.com/silly/arrowhead.gif

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

Stopping in again real quick before I head out to lunch & a matinee.

Jess :: thanks for the info on WP B&T...Sounds like a nice night planned for your b-day. It's all about whatever makes you happy. :) ..No worries at all on the job. It was worth a look-see, but once they mentioned the union dues, I knew I was outta there. It's cool - I'll find something.

Judy :: LOVE the name for the stray! Perfect! Now wait--what's this about your daughter's show??? What does she do? I have seen commercials for that show, and I've had to look away. I don't think I can stomach it. But I'm betting it'll be extremely popular. Anyway, tell us more!

~Cathy :)

Good morning all! I ended up doing more miles yesterday than intended, 7 altogether. I just HAD to get in 9 total speed intervals being the OCD exerciser I am ;-) Anyway, after that I did the BBC Arms and Abs. I find this workout to be VERY challenging! Well, that pretty much tired me out:eek: My meeting yesterday actually went quite well. Tomorrow I have a series of meetings starting early so I won't be posting til later:(

Cathy- I don't blame you for passing on the UPS job, definitely wouldn't be worth the effort! Are you going to be starting a BBC rotation soon? I love these workouts!

Susan- Wow, 11 animals to be attending to? You are a friend indeed!
That is quite a menagerie:eek:

Christine- You picked Core Syn for an "easy" workout? No wonder you want to take it a little easier today. Although a spin workout sure isn't easy either! I LOVE LOVE LOVE "Jimmy" for the name for your new puppy! When is he due to arrive anyway?

Marcia- Since there isn't a new posting from you I assume school wasn't cancelled :) Egads, .... snow! The weather has been pretty crazy. There is actually about a 40% chance of snow for where I live tomorrow.... mind you, I live in Arizona!!!!

Judy- That was an awesome EXT workout for you!!! I gather your DD works in some kind of TV production job? It must be fun to watch for her name. Where are you going for your trip in April?

Gayle- Great run this morning!! I have my DH wake me up when I sleep during the day between work nights. He is a smart man and has learned over the years how to avoid a tongue lashing;-) He sends the dogs in to jump on me... he knows I won't yell at them!

Kristi- Going for a 10k PR? It certainly doesn't hurt to be hitting the weights but honestly, if you want to run faster, the way to do it is.... to run faster! (duh!) I've been getting in a really good
speed workout once a week and I finally broke 50 minutes on my last 10k:) Just push your limits a little more each week.

Carole- Congrats on getting the taxes done!! You must feel relieved now:) Getting in some good GS workouts too!

SunnyD- I'd really be interested in your review of the Tracy S workout!! I'm pretty close to caving in and ordering her new ones.

Jackie- Absolutely awesome leg day workout for you!!!

Jess- Poor little Kiersten still dealing with weasels in her chest?
If she's playing Barbie she must be on the road to recovery at least
:) Any idea when you'll be getting the p90x? How's the AT issue?

Linda- Today is the day:7 :7 :7 I'll be looking for your review of your first run on your new TM!!

Wendy- Whats happening cheetahbabe?

Today is a leg day for me. I've decided to repeat last weeks workout inspired by Wendy. BBC Legs&Butt followed by B&G leg blast premix:eek:  To answer the question running through everyones mind....... Yes, I am indeed crazy;-) Later today I'll hit the EXT, not sure how long... we'll see what shape the old legs are in!

ShellyC

Good morning cheetahs!

I have to apologize for not doing very many personals this week. I have my little ladies at home and I am trying to really have some fun mommy time with them and have not had that much time to go online. I will be back and chatty next week, I promise;-)

The girls and I LOVED Meet the Robinsons. It was really cute and very age appropriate. This is the first time my back has not bothered me sitting in the movie seats:)

I am going to do a short 3 mile run today and PUB sh, tri;s and bi's. I am adding mileage very slowly so I do not injure myself anymore. I have a little bit of glute pain, but nothing like before and my adjustments are going very well.

Now my eating has been ATTROCIOUS!!!!! I cannot stop eating ladies. The girls and I have been making homemade cookies and brownines and scones and I have been eating way too many. Oh well, next week I will have to get back on the clean eating wagon.

Well, I am off to go do my workout. HAve a great day friends:)

Susan

Hey Cheetah Babes!:)

Sorry I never checked in earlier. I know I am usually an early bird but I guess I was kinda out of it this morning.

I worked from 8 to 11am and then had a (stupid) meeting I had to stay for so I only got home about 30 mins ago. I want to quit this job. It's really getting on my nerves but the little bit of money I make is great for me to use as spending $ and I love getting out of the house and getting Joey around other kids a couple times a week. I also get adult interaction which I crave. If I pass my PT exam I should be working in that field by the end of the year (I hope-depending on how it takes me to find a job) so I think it's silly to look for another position like I have now but I don't want to quit this job and do nothing and have no cash coming in either! ACK! I think I'm going to have to stick it out for now...:-( I also don't want to lose the free membership!;)

I just ate lunch so now it's on to my coffee and then my work out...

I have decided to do BBC's full body work out today. I'm craving some weight work. I am not in the mood for core syn or straight cardio anyway. I have no sore parts from the last of the X's weight so I figure one endurance weight work out during my recovery week won't kill me. Besides, I start my rotation on monday with the full body work out so I want to know what I am in for! }( :7

I'll be back later on with personals.

Ciao Bellas!:)

BBC full body is DONE! What a work out! TOUGH! There were several exercises that I had to quit on before time! WHOA! Barry's a nut! }( LOLOL

Alrighty....gotta hit the showers now....

BBL!:)
