Good morning ladies!

Wow, how come I've been the early one lately? Gee, I wonder *rolls eyes*. No time for anything but a quick "Hello!" I should have time to catch up on personals tonight. Gonna be a nice hot one so I better get my butt out the door and get to work. Hasta luego chicas!

Good morning, everyone! http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/th_happy-038.gif

Gloria :: how was the storm last night?

Wendy :: sounds like another exciting day for Joey. Have fun!

Wendi :: I'm here bright n' early as usual. :) Does it make work any more bearable now that you can see the light at the end of the tunnel?

Carole :: LMBO about the flair. Thanks for startin' my day with a smile!

Not sure what today's workout will be 'cuz it's apparently become a Whatever-I-Feel-Like-I-Wanna-Do WEEK. :7 *lol* Will report later on whatever it is.

Have an awesome day, ladies! :7

Running the '08 Chicago Marathon for Livestrong ~
http://www.livestrong.org/grassroots2008/cathfieb

Good Morning Girls!:)

Wendi: It's gonna be HOT today did you say? ACK! Nothin' like a zoo on a hot day but oops, you work on a farm so I guess ya don't feel bad for me, huh? :7

Cathy: Missed it-didn't realize you had decided to run you mary for Live Strong. Awesome! I made my donation. I hope you meet and excede your goal!:) Yes, today will be lots of fun for Joey. I enjoy zoos myself. Mom and I took Joey to this particular zoo last summer. It's small and "cute". We all enjoyed it. :) How great it must have felt to be told you'd make a good NB mentor. That's quite the compliment I would say.

Not much goin' on here this morning that I didn't already cover last night so I'll BBIAB!:)

Hi Friends

I lurked for a bit last night but then didn't get a chance to post. yesterday was a golf day and I shot a personal best! I finally can say I had a 99. (Our course is rated fairly difficult and I did not pick up golf regularly until about age 40)

DD started this new sitting job and she wroked from 3-10 Monday night and 3-11 last night. I was a little concerned( I won't share the details here) but she seemed to be OK and exhausted.

At 1:30 this morning, a friend called. Her DH came into the ER last week with an MI (heart attack) and DH started to care for him, but asked his patner to take over. After getting his coronary arteries stented he was stable and released, but DH had a funny feeling about it. And DH gave them his own portable AED device in case he fibrillated at home. Well, he fibrillated last evening and his wife and son shocked him and did cpr and repeatedly until the paramedics arrived. Ed (who is on vacation this week) met them at the hospital with his partner, (but he still had the partner manage everything) Please say a prayer for this friend our ours. We just went through this a year ago with a very close friend who did not make it.

I am not up to personals right now.

Morning Cheetahs!

Thought I'd stop by here first since the day seems to get away from lately. I have a run, GS-S and GS-B&B premix. If I have time I'll add the freestyle lunge cycle too.

Judy ~ (((HUGS))) and prayers for your friend. How scary! Thank goodness your Dh gave them the AED device. WTG on your golf game. Girls got game! ;-)

Wendy ~ Have a zoo trip planned? Have fun!

Cathy ~ I didn't realize you were running for Livestrong either. Enjoy "whatever" workout you do! :)

I have to go read. I didn't even have time to lurk. I'll be back with the rest of the personals. :)

Back for personals...;-)

Gloria ~ Glad you got your car back, but UGH on the dinero! Your hike sounds like just what you needed. :)

Christine ~ Somehow I missed the part about "the Beast". }( WTG!!! Passing people on the hill and carrying on a conversation! Awww, about that baby bird. :( Glad your presentations went well. It was all that prep work you put into it. :)

Wendi ~ lol'd about your windshield wipers on your glasses.:7 Sounds like something you see on a cartoon. :+

Wendy ~ Wow! that was some workout KM blast, etc. How did you come up with that killer mish mosh? Great job bowling!

Cathy ~ That's how I feel lately..."winging it" with the workouts. I've been using the GS timesavers, but feel like I'm cheating. lol However, I can go heavier because the workouts aren't as long. :) Hope you numb feet was just a fluke.

Shelly ~ Oh thanks about being ready for the race! Well, the rain turned to a drizzle around mile 4, then on the way back it completely stopped. Thank goodness it wasn't the full 10 miles in the rain. I guess I didn't explain that well enough. I surprised myself by even showing up! :+ Glad I did. I have to say, I think that the rain and cooler temps helped make that a nicer run. I'm concerned about the 12 miler we have Sat. You amaze me with all that you get done!!! Wow! You're moving again!?! Glad you found a house so quickly!

Carole ~ That was some workout y-day. My core has DOMS just reading your post. :p Too bad you have to work and miss Arnold and GW. :( Can you play hooky? ;-)

Jackie ~ Thanks for the link to that site! I'll be sure to be browsing. I saved it to my favorites. How easy, huh!??! I like that idea of yours (and Wendy) about iTread #4. :)

Posh ~ WTG on the hilly 5 miler! Nothing like an attitude adjustment from your workouts! ;-)

Judy ~ Are you not happy with NROL4W rotation now? I give you lots of credit sticking with it too. :)

Well, must get the kids off to soccer camp and then I can work out. :)

Have a great day!

Good morning cheetahs

I have worked in a beauty shop for about 17 years. It is common knowledge to not discuss religion or politics. Seems the same holds true here as those kind of threads are normally deleted!! I know for me I have a bit more knowledge about religion! I just have one comment after reading yesterdays thread. I find it disrespectful to say about ANY US President, currently in office, that he is "not very smart". Okay off my soapbox...:)

Judy..my thoughts and prayers are with your friend.

I will try and catch up with the rest of personals later.

I am doing P90X CST and a 4 mile run.

Have a good day...:)

Good Morning Cheetahs!

Carole – Did you get to see Arnie and Bush? I don’t blame you, I would like to see them too. DARN! I missed all of the excitement on the thread!! I have to go check it out. I agree that religion and politics have no place on the Cathe boards, but it’s not in the rules, so it’s allowed (I asked once).

Wendy – How’s the DOMS? }( Yeah, Sales BootCamp IS no fun, but we’ll get through it. Oh, I’m planning on keeping up the bells. I really enjoy them. Yeah, I’m not much into mass hysteria, either.

Gloria – I gave Marley and Me to a friend to read. She loved it as much as I did. Funny – Jimmy was just woofing a bit in his sleep earlier. He lays under my legs between the chair and the ottoman. I have a tough time getting off the chair! HSC is fun, too. I love the high step workouts. I don’t think about the oops’s like that. HSC/HSTA - you got the general idea of the workout! :p

Thomasina!!! I’m SOOO glad you were able to run outside!! YAY! Nothing like a good run (and IMO a really good run has to be outside, but I’m weird), to make the day a good one! Thanks for cheering me on! I certainly felt the love of my Cheetahs! :p

Wendi – HELLO! Glad you could stop by. Hope you manage to stay cool today!

Cathy – Enjoy your what-ever you feel week! :p Well, my presentation was very interactive. I cannot stand giving dry presentations. It has to be engaging. Unfortunately Jimmy is not allowed – he would love it though! :p

Judy – WTG!!! Nice score! Good luck to DD and her new job. Oh, no! You’re friend is definitely in my prayers. That is scary. I’m glad your DH followed his instincts.

Dallas – Enjoy your workout! Sounds like a good one! I’m still laughing at the “Beast” comment. I’m not sure it’s so much a statement on my capabilities, but more on other’s lack of fitness. They guy I was talking to had no troubles either. :+

One day down, three more to go. Joy. :p It’s funny as I am the most senior member of my team – age wise, and experience wise – I’m finding this more of a mentoring exercise than anything else. Showing the “kids” (they are all 30 and under) how to write a proper confirmation email, what to say during a demo…. It’s kind of an interesting role. I have no presentations today, so I’m more relaxed. :p My workout this morning is Spinervals Enter the Red Zone. I like that one. :p Have a great day all!

Good Morning Cheetahs!

Posh: A run outside! Fantastic! :) No major storms hit so we did keep the power. It went out once. Have fun with the birthday party!!

Cathy: I do really respect my super. He is a good guy and knows our biggest obstacle. I like that he sets the standards high too. I do not mind the regimented schedule. It keeps me on track. You are right, as long as you are doing something, you are doing well. The storm was nothing to worry about. Have a great day! :)

Wendy: How nice you are going to the zoo. Enjoy. I have no doubt you will be working off those calories today!

Wendi: Good morning!

Judy: I will be thinking of your friend. Take care.

Dallas: What a workout you have planned! The hike was nice. It is nice because it's so close to our house. :)

Carole: Sorry to offend you with my remark to Wendy. My passion got the best of me I guess. I will keep my opinions on the down low re: those sorts of things from now on. :) Enjoy your 4 mile run and P90x today!

Christine: I bet you are doing a great job as a mentor. Glad you are more relaxed today. I knew you wouldn't mind about the oops. :) Enjoy your spinervals today!

Today will be a run, maybe on the trail DH and I hiked. I am feeling HSC a bit. Enjoy your day everyone! :)

Top of the morning to the Cheetahs! :)

Wendy - Sorry your day at work wasn't the greatest yesterday. Today all better? Glad the KB workout perked you up! Thanks for the BB info. Will pass it along.

Christine - Glad your presentation went well. Teach those young 'uns a thing or two. Enjoy that relaxing day. Hope you enjoyed Spinnervals.

Carole - So how did the visit from the Prez and Governator go? Happy to see you did the right weights this time. LOL!! Enjoy PST and your run!

Gloria - Thanks for the compliment. I prefer leg presses with the band too. We finally had a storm Saturday night and got some rain. It still wasn't enough to saturate the ground thoroughly. I still have to water those plants. Have a good run!

Posh - So happy that you were able to run outside. Yippee!! I hope that's a good indication of things to come. Yep, can tell the attitude is better. Monday is probably what drove your mom into labor. x( Happy Birthday to DD this weekend! Lots of cooking going on for you?

Cathy - I say if doing whatever you're in the mood is working for you, keep at it. :) I'll get over to your website soon. Yes, I had numbing in both feet but only during my half marathon races. I think it may have come from not running longer miles outside. Vacations messed with my training. Gas prices are so high and you know with the fleet of vehicles we have, even 1 penny hurts like the dickens. Everybody is in a cost cutting mode.

Wendi - Like the thread title this morning. Hope work is not too miserably hot.

Judy - Congratulations on your PB with golf!! Will be sending prayers up for your friend.

Dallas - Quite a workout you have planned!

Today's workout was S&H Legs & Shoulders. I used 55 pounds for heaviest weight for legs but still could have used more. I'll keep that in mind in the future. May have to look at getting a weight vest because 55 # is all I can lift over my head.

Happy Hump Day!

Jackie

Jackie: I have a hard time getting the barbell over my head too. A weighted vest is a good idea. I have only had the feet numbing experience on the EXT. I haven't used one of those in over a year since I don't have the access. Great getting in S&H! My friend has been riding her motorcycle to work to save gas money.

I finished my run. I did 5 miles today. My friend is going to call me when she is done with work and we will go hiking on a trail near my house.

Hope everyone's day is going well! BBL! :)

Hi girls!

Super quick fly-by...

Sending {{{HUGS}}} and prayers Judy's way :(.

Guess what I got to do just now....I was able to squeeze in Imax 2, yippee!!! I had a short pocket of time before afternoon feeding and it was way, way, too hot to really be productive so i flew home for a quickie :p. Ahhh, is all right with world :).

Gotta go feed. See ya in the morning! Will catch up on personals then.

Wendy :: http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/greetingsandsigns/th_thank_you.gif VERY much for your support! I was *so* happy to get my first donation! I sure *hope* I can meet that goal http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/th_scared1.gif --it's pretty high, I think, but that was the minimum they set...Well, this *just* happened with Livestrong. I inquired a couple of months ago but never heard anything back. It took two follow-ups to get the ball rolling...I like zoos, too. How was it? Was Joey overtired?...Oh thank you re: the mentor thing, but shucks, no. http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/th_blush.gif It was mentioned to others as well. I don't think it was a special invitation...Happy b'day to DH!

Judy :: congrats on achieving your personal best! What a feel-good moment...So sorry about your friend's DH. Re: the prayers, you got it. Keep us posted.

Dallas :: "Whatever" is startin' to look like "nuthin.'" http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/th_Sheepish.gif *lol* Today was a tiring day. We were writing, but we were doing a lot of scrambling, running back and forth to our classrooms, pulling files and copying, for our units. We did get a lot accomplished, though...I didn't know until this week that I would be on the Livestrong team. Expressed interest earlier but they hadn't gotten back to me...I did return to a mostly-spelled-out rotation this month, but I've mangled it a bit this week. Guess "whatever mode" rules for the moment. :)...I think you'll do great on that 12 miler Saturday!!

Carole :: hope you enjoyed your run & CST! How was your day?

Christine :: I feel the same about outdoor running...Oh, I could never picture you giving a dry presentation. You are a riot, and I always look forward to your posts...So it sounds like the mentoring role makes things at least a little interesting. How did the others do today?

Gloria :: I'm kind of weird in that I like a good t'storm. :) I'm glad it wasn't anything major for you. Some friends of mine had their computer "zapped" one night, and since then, I always make sure to unplug the surge protector from the outlet when it's storming...Nice run! Did you wind up running on the hiking trail? You are making me want to revisit HSC...that one is a fave.

Jackie :: Thank you...that stinks about cutting back a day. I hope it doesn't happen for you--and us! Great job with S&H this morn. I would like to get a weighted vest, too. Have been waiting for the one Cathe will be selling.

Wendi :: only you would run the place single-handedly and come home and squeeze in Imax2!! :) Hat's off to you! Now don't go fallin' asleep on the concrete! ;) :7

Shelly :: http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/greetingsandsigns/th_thankyou2.gif :*

As I mentioned to Dallas, I'm feelin' more like an iStretch-on-the-couch. *lol* May just take a nap and see what that does.

Have a great night! :)

ETA: DUH! Dallas, forgive me! I meant to say a great, big http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/greetingsandsigns/th_thankusmile.gif to you, too!!! This is just an amazing group of women we have here. The support means SO much!

Wendi: You are once again living up to your cheetah name!! I think I would like the full imax 2. Parts of it are on my Terminator dvd. Each time I do it I get better at the mambo cha chas. See you in the morning! :)

Cathy: Sounds like a tiring day. Maybe a nap will revive you a bit. You are very good at listening to your body. :) I just did the 5 mile route around my house since I would be hiking with my friend. I shut down the computer for a little bit when it was looking bad out. HSC is a fun one. I am glad I finally broke down and bought it. Enjoy whatever you decide to do this evening. Is this the last day of work for the week or are you pushing on the next two days?

Lots of activity for me today. I am happy. The trail we hiked is a few miles down the road and it is land set aside by the state that can't be developed. It is right along the river and there are tons of trails you can do. I enjoyed my friend time. We have a lot in common. Cathy and Lorie, she could be a wt! ;-) :) Well, that's it for me!! Hope everyone has a nice evening.

Gloria :: *lol* Too bad it's always telling me to sleep and eat bad things. :7 Glad you enjoyed your time with your friend (real as opposed to "pretend" :) -- love that.) Can't believe there's a quadruplet! :7...This was the last day of curriculum work for now, but my supervisor is hoping to get one more day before September. We didn't quite finish. Tomorrow I'll be in class. Bet you sleep good tonight!
