:::::CHEETAHS!!::::::: Tuesday May 27

Good afternoon Cheetahs!

Cathy - Hope you're feeling better today. We go every year to put flowers on Dad's grave on Memorial Day along with some other relatives. He did serve in the army too.

Wendi - Nothing like good quality time with SO. Sorry for the funk. Good job on the 6 miles. Think you're ready for a 10K.

Shelly - You're going to be an early Cheetah now. How nice to fix up the in-laws place and to get BIL a new BBQ! Maybe he'll have a cookout for you now. I'm all moved in. I have a few boxes left to unpack but can get to those anytime. The new workout room was the first to get all organized. That's the most important don't you think? :) Glad your contract arrived. When do you start work?

Dallas - Sorry you're having tummy issues. Bland! x( It was my 35th class reunion. Can't believe it's been that many years. It was nice seeing old faces though. Love the pic of you and DH! Beautiful couple!

Wendy - I don't think those mudslides count either. Glad you enjoyed the BBQ. Good job on the bowling.

Carole - 3 acres! That's a lot of grass cutting. I have 1.7 now and all I can say is I'm glad that I'm not doing the mowing and maintainenance. IA about the peace and quiet. I have it all week long and enjoy coming home to peace and quiet. When DBF visits, he has the tv blasting. Can they not hear? My DD isn't married yet and she's the same way. A man is going to have a hard time with that one. Glad you weren't without water for too long.

Christine - Hope you're not coming down with something too. Get plenty of rest. Sounds like you got a lot accomplished yesterday. What's wrong with these kids not wanting to spend time with their wonderful and loving parents. :)

Kath - Good workout today! Yeah on that skirt falling off! Had to make you feel good.

Judy - Great job on the run!

I did iTread #20 60 minutes and some stretching. We had storms yesterday that knocked down trees and the power was out from 6:00 pm until about 1:00 am this morning. It's raining now and calling for more storms. I was worried I wouldn't be able to get the garage door open this morning. I put the manual and the extra door opener somewhere and couln't remember for the life of me. When the lights came back on this morning, then I remembered where I put it. But, of course, I didn't have to worry because the power was back on. Went to work this morning with intentions of staying awhile. Had to leave earlier because power went off. Now, I'm home for the rest of the day.

Hope you're enjoying your day!

Jackie

BBL to try and re-create them....

Hello Cheetahs!

I was MIA last night. I am coughing a little still and I lost my voice yesterday. x( I went to school today, but I can't teach properly like this so I am taking tomorrow off. There isn't anything going on I can't miss. I am feeling some guilt, but I know I am doing the right thing.

Shelly: I lol about the inlaws. I feel the same about mine as you do yours. They are good people. That is very nice of you to help with the house like that. I have never heard of that kind of boat. Sounds like it would be fun. I think you would like Montana. Nice run in the rain. :)

Wendi: I bet you could manage that 10k, but you have to go with your gut feeling. Those fiddleheads sound delish! :) Great run girl!

Cathy: I am sorry you are so sick. What did the doctor have to say? I hope you are back to yourself soon! Sometimes I am a hermit too, especially on Friday night. I just want to sit and be quiet and have no one bother me. You are right, being "on" all the time is tiring.

Carole: I love the salmon too. My yard isn't nearly that big. We would eventually like to buy property. It would be fun to make my own running trails!

Christine: Take it easy. You do not want what DH had. I am glad you slept a little longer this morning. That is the plan for me tomorrow. I just want to be back to normal. It is funny how kids get to the point that they are too cool to hang out with the family all night. :) Sounds like a nice evening you had.

Kath: I lol about the skirt comment. Yeah, I wouldn't have worn it eather. It will be cold here tonight, maybe 20s! x(

Wendy: OOh, I haven't had a mudslide since college! Sounds like you had a great time. I am sure you are right back on track today!

Dallas: Yes, I did enjoy the day off yesterday. Not happy about this voice loss though. You and DH are one beautiful couple! Nice pic! :)

Judy: Nice run! Good to hear you had a nice weekend! That is so cool about Tiger's golf ball. I think he is handsome!

Jackie: Sorry about the power outages! We used to get a lot of them when the wind picked up, but the power company came and cut some trees and now it has been pretty decent.

Well Cheetahs, I am not in physical pain anymore, as I told you this weekend. Just this runny nose, lost voice and a little coughing. One of my colleagues had the exact same symptoms last week as I have right now and she said she has bad allergies. There was a ton of pollen floating around all weekend from the Aspen trees. Maybe I have allergy issues and never really knew it. I am not capable of good teaching right now, so I will just take it easy tomorrow. I will not have to talk to anyone but the dog, so that should be good! :) Have a nice evening all!

Hey Cheetahs!

I’m just finishing my lunch break and have a few to say HELLO! Thanks for the Bday wishes for DH this week – the party was fun and so fun that I had a houseful of people for 2 days! Cooking, cleaning, and then cooking and cleaning day 2 wore me out! I had to catch up on stuff last night and couldn’t post. Naturally, it is fairly hoppin’ busy here at work today so can’t get to a bunch of personals but I’ll try some…

Cathy – good job on your run sista!!! But I’m sorry you’re feeling so cruddy….hope you feel better soon…

Shelly – NICE thank you gift for BIL…did you show him the “vegetarian” section of the grill for the next cook out? LOL….we have one!

Dallas – VERY beautiful pic of you and DH. Geez, between you and Judy’s POSH pics, we’ve got us some glamorous cheetah babes in da house!

Wendy lou – Nice eating…hey, I gotta tell ya, my dear friend from waay waay back lives outside of Dallas and is going to come see me for lunch at the Dallas airport when I’m on the way to Chicago (I have a long layover) and you know where she told me last night she wants to go when i come through? Um, she says, “a wacky place called Cracker Barrel” …I laughed and thought oh boy, I’m in for it! Probably nothing but the napkins are vegetarian there, huh? …lol

Wendi – GREAT run! You should do the 10K!

Carole – WWAAAA WWAAAA!!! You’re not going to do the 5K in Sac?? Ah shucks! I guess I know what you feel like though, cuz so do I!! Dang, I’m slower than anyone these days! and my best –times were 9:15 to 9:45 min miles! Now I’ll be lucky for 11 min miles on this thing. But I’m going to do it just to keep motivated and determined –But I understand if you don’t want to run it right now…I’m just bummed I won’t get to see ya! But you’re going to Chicago and that will be way COOL!

Christine – Sorry you are not feeling good! And you know, usually our kids desert us but dang, this weekend they wouldn’t leave! AND they brought FRIENDS! LOL

Kath – WOWOWOW on the skirt incident! Can’t wait for that to happen to me! Love your Abs before the Cabs get to em workout! Gotta try that one!

Judy – LOL – I had some CABS Fri/Sat/Sun too! But I was good on moderation…lol…just not the amount of days! You girls are doing some great work-outs!!

Jackie – Oh gosh, I do stuff like that – the garage door opener dilemma. Glad you got power back and then off again! I love when the power goes out long enough at work to leave early! Yay!

Gloria _ hope you have a nice restful day off to recuperate. I love when my dog is home with me when I’m sick…she’s the greatest buddy!

K that’s all I have time for and no time to check for typos either! Have a good rest of the day/evening Cheetahs!!

POSH :7

Hey Posh! Thanks for the well wishes. Sounds like a great weekend, but busy! That is great you will have a friend meeting you for your long layover. I have never been to Cracker Barrel either. Good to "see" you always!

I forgot about some personals from Monday.

Christine: I was never a lover of the color pink until lately. My running shoes are pink and I actually have some pink shirts for school and running. I don't know what's gotten into me! :) I actually overheard one of my students(male)say last year "I hate it when Mrs. Partlo wears pink." I just laughed about it, but was wondering why? They are so unusual sometimes. We will not be going out to Montana any time soon. DH is just too busy with the flyshop. We WILL be going out there again, just not sure when.

Cathy: I did have to go to school yesterday to pick up my math materials. I forgot them on Friday and do not like the feeling of being unprepared. Math is the first thing I teach in the morning. Like I told Shelly, you would probably love Montana. There is just something about it. I almost came home last summer with some cowboy boots, but just couldn't find the right pair. LOL! :) Thanks for crossing your fingers for me re: NYC. I need it. It has stunk that I haven't really been able to work out much lately. I think it might be too late for Chicago because I think it is full. I think taking the day off was a good idea for you today and me tomorrow. The students quickly made comments this morning about my voice and I told them that I might not be at school tomorrow. Usually, they do not like it because we have some wierd subs, but they were very understanding and didn't make any comments about it, just shook their heads in agreement. It was actually quite sweet. ;( Hope the doctor was of some help! :)

That's it for me tonight. I am ready for some time on the couch. Take care all!

Okay Girls. I'm back to do personals...AGAIN!x(

Shelly: I was going to give up steady state running just for a couple of months in favor of strictly interval work as a part of the new program I am doing: After Burn. The plan for cardio is intervals only and aside from the couple of races I am in next month, I was going to stick strictly to his plan. Trouble is, I miss the regular ones! Consequently I think I will add one in each week just for fun. ;) The contract you are referring to..is that for the new job? :)

Dallas: Itread 27/30 mins did not wow me until I hit those 2 HUGE hills! Now I keep avoiding the work out cause I don't want to face them again! LOL Great pic of you and your DH!

Kath: You are quite welcome for the food ideas. HTH!

Judy: Gotta love the CABS! Cheers!:9 LOL

Jackie: I noticed your BB order before you even mentioned it. Thank you!:) I hope you enjoy the X+. They are great work outs! What do you think of Tony's new work outs that are coming out this summer? I'm very excited about them.

Gloria: Sorry you had to take a day off from work. It's totally understandable though. Try not to let the guilt get to ya!

Thomasina: Happy Birthday to DH! I'm sorry I'm a bit late but better late then never right? A TWO day B'day party!? Holy moly, your DH must be some guy!;) LOL about Cracker Barrel. Have fun!}(

Okay, once again, I am caught up with personals. :p

I am feeling some DOMS in my glutes and legs since my run this morning. I'm thinkin' it was just lying in wait after y'day's weights and the run brought it to the surface. }(

So I got the Kettlebell Way DVD today. I previewed some of it. Looks pretty good. Ofcourse, I have only practiced with the bell one time so perhaps I should not jump right into this on Friday. I'm thinking of practicing an exercise or 2 after every AB weight work out until I am confident enough to do the work out as produced. Any thoughts from my fellow KB'ers on this plan?

I also received the cutest tshirt. I got an email offer to purchase a subscription to Her Sports magazine and I would get a free t-shirt with it. Ofcourse, I gobbled it up! LOL Well I got the shirt and the first issue today. It's a pink T that says Her Sports on it with a small graphic of a girl running and then it says Run Girl below it. Very cute!:) I don't even care about the magazine! ;) LOL

Well it's almost DS' bed time so I'd better get going and start doing toy pick-up patrol. ;)

BBL or in the morning.

Evening ladies!

Another *insert the appropriate sarcasm here* wonderful day at work. Suffice it to say that I'm starting to get sick of a$$holes that are either too stupid to do their job or are just plain lazy. BTW, we're not talking about brain surgery here, just mucking 12 stalls that should take the *average* human being approx 2 hrs. We've shown our "Boy Wonder" 4 TIMES how to clean a stall in the past 10 days!!!!!!!!! WTF!!! I just don't get it. Okay, rant over, for now *rolls eyes*.

Regardless of how tired I am in the morning following my marathon day today (I had to go back and remuck every stall that Boy Wonder "did") I WILL get my workout in! It was supposed to be HSC but if I'm dragging a little I might opt for LIC. I have a very long riding day tomorrow and am not sure if I'm going to up for anything harder than that.

Cathy - I hope you feel better soon!!!! It sounds like that bug has got you good. Rest up!

Carole - Glad you got your water back quickly! I agree about not wanting to be sweaty all day...YUCK! Great workout. Did you start an X rotation?

Christine - Hey, you better be resting with Cathy! I hope you feel better soon! Nice menu for today...wtg! Oh, I'm so jealous of your closet purge right now...I've been wanting to get to that for the past month! Thanks sweetie! I'm not worried about the race itself, it's the fact that I have to ask for a day off from work and with 1. the ongoing mucking saga and 2. the fact that weekends are NUTS at the farm with all the clients there and 3. it's actually a horse show day, I'm just not sure it will all "fit". I've been soooo looking forward to this one but I can't control the situation at work right now ;(.

Kath - Awesome workout today! Nice when clothes fall off, isn't it ;). Uh, good choice with the capris...I know exactly what you mean about the length of that skirt .

Wendy - Nice menu! Uggh, sorry you lost your personals...hate that! Guess what...this whole post almost went bye bye, too! I was lucky to have enough time to save it in Word before my computer went into brain freeze. BTW, I'd take you on my team anytime!

Shelly - The off and on rain here felt sooooo good as it was sweltering today! Nice run! Yo, I've seen the times you put up there...I'll be lucky to be eating YOUR dust at the finish! That is soooooo cool that your cousin did the art direction, especially on THAT one!!!! What else has s/he done?

Dallas - What a beautiful pic, your DH isn't so bad either ;)! You two make a gorgeous couple! Wow, what a workout you put in today!

Judy - Great workout! Sorry to here that your golf game was a bit off from your workout. I have to watch that with bowling, too. There is NO heavy lifting (especially bis and chest) the day before bowling . Did that once, never again lol! Oh my, the kitties are HUGE!!!!...and NUTS!!! You should see what's going on in here as I type  :7!

Jackie - I hope you enjoyed your shortened day today! Too funny about the garage door this morning lol! I did love the extra time with DSO but it all seemed to pile up and make for a wicked funk.

Gloria - I think you're wise to not push and go in tomorrow. Just rest up! Like I said to Christine I'm leaning toward backing out due to every other factor under the sun other than the actual race. I run much tougher routes on my normal runs.

Posh - I'm sure that was one heck of a party knowing you! Had to LOL about eating the napkins at Cracker Barrel! Thanks for the vote of confidence but I'm still undecided...see post to Christine and Gloria^^^^.

The kitties are just begging for some attention so I guess I should sign off for now and cuddle with em. Sigh, what hardships I must endure, right ;). Hasta manana chicas!

Uh, yeah, ..just took a peek at the online menu for Cracker Barrel…http://www.runemasterstudios.com/graemlins/images/sick2.gif

very askeered of the offerings…http://www.runemasterstudios.com/graemlins/images/fear.gif

Gonna have to tell dear childhood friend …http://www.runemasterstudios.com/graemlins/images/snooty.gif[/img]

Not gonna happen – the place reminds of a restaurant we have out here called “Hometown Buffet” and I stay far, FAR away from the place .... Sorry, must be food snob too since this organic mixed greens girl ain’t no way goin’ near the iceberg and mushy tomato salad…eeweeee..blech.

Gloria – I hope you get in for NYC Marathon! That’s another on my list of some I’d like to do someday…

Wendy lou – Um, you’ve been quite the POSH shopping cheetah lately, huh? lol…

Wendi – Why not have “boy wonder” go back and re-do the mucking if it ain’t up to par. I remember when my dd would ASK if she could muck stalls at the ranch just because…lol. That was when her horse was boarded 4 years ago or so and she would hang out there all weekend…

Well, catches me up again too…gotta get some shut-eye now since I’m going to attempt some weight work before my two appointments I have before work tomorrow…

Night all!
