Cheetahs Tues April 8th

Hi cheetahs!

Wendy :: I don’t think there is a half piggybacked with this one…Sorry you have to jump through so many hoops to put up the dog in the kennel. Never heard of Jump Snap. What is it?

Wendi :: it did feel great to get outside in the fresh air after work. Busy, busy day for you!

Christine :: That’s great that you & DD will be training & racing together…Yes, I am registered for the Oct. ’08 mary. Unfortunately, I do not think there is an HM :(…So, I wouldn’t expect you to fly all the way out just to cheer me on, but of course, I would welcome any opportunity to meet & hang with some cheetahs! How did it go with the 26? Love hearing about your success with kb training!

Carole :: That is one situation where I’ll gladly take BORING. :) Yes, I am following one of Galloway’s plans. I figure conservative = safe. My goal is simply to finish. *lol* about the meatloaf. Happy filing!

Shelly :: ^^^ 5’s on accomplishing much in the garage yesterday…glad to hear your input on the training plan. I'm sure I will be tapping you experienced cheetahs for training advice along the way.

Jackie :: good Lord, you did something in addition to that ladder?... Are things still busy at work? Yeah, I’m goin’ for the marathon. :7

Posh :: (((HUGS))) Sorry about your friend’s sudden passing and that you took a whuppin’ from the IRS. It’s great to see you when you can get here. Loved reading about your marathon experiences.

Kath :: happy packing & woo-hoo on the too-big shorts!

Sunny :: haven’t heard of Playground…I’ll have to check it out. But I am holding out for Wii Ski and Wii Fit. Can’t wait for their release.

Dallas :: Oh, I would *love* to meet you in Chicago! Even more so if you run it!!! :) I’m not sure if the plan is on Galloway’s site. I will check and report back. Shaking my head about those in charge. Good DH has the backing of the parents. Enjoy a night off from practice! :) ETA: The basic marathon program on Jeff's site is a little different from the ones in the book, which only include one rest day. I would be happy to mail you copies of any of the plans, if you like. There is a beginner, "to finish" and fat burning program. The rest are time-goals, but I am not concerning myself with that.

Just scarfed some dinner, so I'll hit Providence in about an hour.

Cathy – Oh my gosh! That is awesome! The Chicago marathon would be wonderful! The Flying Pig is May 4 and is in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Kath – Enjoy your run! .

Sunny – I love Tracey! My fav of her’s is Step Sweatfest. I love it!
RE: TG’s….I hate them!!!!! ;>)

Wendy – Good job with PUB CS&T and abs! We have to go through that when we go on vacation with Madison and Corey (my cat). Although they don’t require the cat to have a Kennel Cough vaccine.

Shelly – Wow, you really worked hard! The ladder workout looks good!

Posh – I am so sorry about your friend. I have wanted (and still want) to do the Flying Pig, too. But I was never ready for it. :<(

Dallas – I’ll bet it was DOMS from the stairmaster! Seems like when I do the EXT on an incline and then try to run the next day…my quads and glutes are so fatigued and sore! Hmmm…after my workout this morning, the only thing I did was work all day. Yuck!

Carole – We must be on the same wave length! I did GS Legs today, too.

This morning I ran 5.5 miles and did GS legs in it’s entirety.

I feel like crap! I got home from work and stuffed my face with a TON of jalapeno potato chips! I did that last night, too! What is wrong with me!!!

Have a good evening!

Linda

Christine – That is so cool that your daughter is going to run the race with you! Hope Jimmy has fun at the Doggie Day Care!

Wendi – Oh my goodness! I think I agree with your! Without a “formal” workout, you will still have one heck of a workout! That was sweet of you to not tell your coworker that it was the day to put up the hay so she could have a day off!

Well, I had better get moving and get my stuff ready for work tomorrow. Blah.

Have a good evening!

Linda

Posh - Sorry to hear about your friend. Will say a prayer for the family. Sorry some of your poshness will be taken away for awhile. But, I know you will come back strong.

Kath - How nice that your shorts are too big. Have fun shopping for new ones. Not much longer now before you're on the beach.

Wendy - Sorry for the dog issues. Hope you can get everything taken care of. I see Shelly posted her speed ladder for you. It's a good one. Can't wait to hear what you think about Jump Snap.

Shelly - Great minds think alike. :) I only went through the ladder once and then hopped on the EXT. Those 8.0 speeds are killers.

Sunny - I think the wii will find its way in someone's Christmas stocking this year.

Dallas - DOMS is good! Good run today. Still no moving date. x( The master bathroom is causing another delay. The shower was finally finished. But, because I'm getting a heated floor, the installer was having a problem. I hope all of that will be taken care of tomorrow. I just hate going to the house and not seeing any progress made. I'll check things out tomorrow.

Cathy - Good luck with the marathon training. I'm usually in Chicago at that time of year. But, I won't be this year. It still busy at work. It seems the pencil pushers want more done in the same amount of time. Glad you had a good workout.

Linda - Good job with the run and GS Legs. Jalapeno potato chips! My mouth is burning just thinking about that.

Have a good night!

Jackie

Hi Friends-

Life has gotten busier than usual.

The matriarch of my Dad's family passed at age 97 a few days back. The wake and funeral were more like a family reunion (minus the beer) Although we are all going to miss Aunt Mary, it was a blessing to see so many cousins together again. My Dad is now the oldest local relative, which is strange. Dad is is the 6th born in a family of 8 (and I am 8th born of 8) We are a huge Italian decent family. Sorry to ramble, this has been a sentimental week.

Tomorrow DD and I leave to visit 3 colleges (NYU and two in Boston) I haven't even been back for a week yet after the big NJ trip with DS.

I started NROLw and so far so good. On this trip my goal is to get in one NROLw workout and one HIIT TM run. I am training fairly heavy, and getting good use of the cable weights that I rarely use at home.

Cathy- Did I read that you are signed up the the Chicago marathon???? WOW!!! Awesome!!! I Love Chicago too! I will cheer you on in spirit, my travels are dictated by kids needs for a few more years (except the annual honeymoon )

Christine- You are such a sweety to go cheer on Cathy in Chicago, and we know Dallas will be there!

Shelly- And you are running the 18 miler with Wendy on the same day? Geesh, Cheetahs are a VERY special group!

Carole- I am confident you will get back to distance running :) (((hugs)))

Well Hi to all and I'll check back when I am home safe and sound.
