Good morning,

Just getting us started!

today's workout is sweatfest cardio (tracey staehle)

gotta go for now will BBL!

Morning :) :)

Today is a 9mile run. Working abs to Slim & pack or Coremax. I'll also work the shoulders to PUB and ME.

I need a refill. I'll be back for personals

Morning, cheetahs! :) :) :)

Sunny :: enjoy the Sweatfest!

Kath :: wow, whatta workout! Are you packing for the trip?

I will be doing Providence this evening.

PS...I'm registered for Chicago! YEAH BABY!!! :7 :7 :7

ETA personals from last night:
Linda :: I emailed Dragon Door once more. Where/when is The Flying Pig?

Christine :: TGUs with a 26! I'm in awe of you!! They are getting easier for me, but I will try the cup of water strategy. The Wharf to Wharf run looks cool.

Jackie :: hope things are a little less busy for you today.

Wendy :: yes, I'm goin' for THIS October. :) Good job taking care of today's leg work last night. Maybe you'll be in the yoga zone today.

Good Morning Cheetahs!

Sunny: Which Sweatfest workout are you doing? Isn't there more then one? I have the k/b which I've barely tried yet. One of these years....:7

Kathy: Have a good run today! Almost vacation time baby!

Cathy: Perhaps some Cheetahs will be able to gather in Chicago to cheer you on! I think that would be awesome if a few of us could go with you. :+ Do they offer a half too? I couldn't do it as my 18 miler is that month but maybe someone else would like to if it's offered but I don't remember what it said when I was looking at the site. So you registered already too, huh? WOW, when you make a decision you don't mess around girl! This is sooo cool!:7
Ya wanna laugh? I read the posts above quickly and my eyes almost popped out of my head cause I saw your name as the last to post here and then read "Today's run is 9 miles" and I'm thinkin', HUH? Galloway has her going from a 2 miler to a 9 miler right off the bat!?!? I quickly realized I was reading Kath's post and felt better. :7

I'm up early this morning. No doubt I'll need a nap later. I got up to use the facilities and decided to stay up to bang out my work out early. I have a "date" with PUB chest, shoulders and triceps at 6:30am. I also plan on working abs but not sure exactly what yet.

Back to gulping java!:9

Good mornin' ladies!

Sunny - Enjoy getting nice and sweaty }(!

Kath - Have a good long run today! That is quite the *little* workout you've got lined up today...wow!

Cathy - Woohoo, you go Cheetah!!! Enjoy Providence tonight! It must have felt good to be running again.

Wendy - PLB at 8:00 at night ? You're nuts :p! I don't think I could that because the DOMS the next day would slay me...I like to keep those tired legs moving for the rest of the day so that I can at least walk the next day lol! Enjoy your "date" this morning.

Linda - I hope you had a nice rest day, even though it was Monday ;).

Christine - Okay, if you're saying ETK is tough it must be! WTG! That Santa Cruz run sounds divine!

Jackie - Great core workout yesterday! How's the packing going? I hope you enjoyed the game last night.

So, even though I was really looking forward to a nice 4DS KB/KPC mish mosh this morning, I'm going to be smart and opt for a "rest" day. I'm going to have a monster of a day at work and I think it would be kind of stupid (and it would be overkill) to add in a workout on top of it. I've got 2 rounds of HayMax (200 bales at two different barns), all of the barnwork (mucking, etc) *and* a ton to ride, plus a late night with clients coming for lessons tonight. The other girl who I work with is off today (she worked yesterday so I could be off) so, as luck would have it, today is the only day that hay can get there and I chose not to tell her because she would have come in anyway on her day off to help unload it...she is such a big sweetie!!!

Okay, gotta get my arse out the door in the next 15 minutes if I want to have any shot at getting everything done. Sooooo, I hope to be back tonight but, if not, I'll see you all tomorrow morning! Have a great day Cheetahville!

Hey Ladies.

My work out is done: PUB CS&T, stretch, MM abs, stretch. I'm fried. I'm happy. :)

Cathy: I was going to say that if you were doing it NEXT year then I'd most likely do it with you but then I realized that you meant THIS year! So much for that though! LOL

Wendi: My oh my, it never lets up for you, does it!?!? I thought I might have some DOMS this morning for the very same reason you mentioned but nope, not a drop! Perhaps I need to go heavier. I matched Cathe's weights in every exercise so I was happy but maybe next time I'll up a few exercises and see what happens!}(

K, gotta grab a QUICK shower...I'm running a leetle late now!

Hi Cheetahs!

I’m a little tired today. Slept really well, but Tuesdays are normally my rest day. I think I’ll just do my ETK work, and leave it at that. Oh, and that race in July? DD15 has also agreed to run it with me!!!! She has Spring Break next week, so we’re going to start running together. I’m looking forward to it! We’ll start with a mile (which I know she can run) and work our way up. I figure we can run over my lunch breaks. Jimmy will love it too!

Sunny – Enjoy Tracey’s sweatfest cardio!

Kath – Enjoy your 9 mile run – two more days! I’ll bet you’re bouncing off the walls.

Cathy – You registered for the Chicago Marathon? The one in 2008? I’ll be there, girlfriend – whether it’s just to cheer you on, or to run the half! I love Chicago and have friends there. And Dallas will be thrilled!! That’s weird you still have not received your workout! I’m going to TRY a TGU with a 26 pound bell. I know I can do them with a 20. A lot of it is core strength. I’ve been really focusing on my core lately. I can tell a big difference in a lot of things I do. Have fun with Providence.

Wendy – Oh, I’ll be there for Cathy – Chicago is an easy flight and a great town. She certainly does NOT mess around, does she?! Amazing. :p Good job with PUB!

Wendi – I don’t blame you for not telling your coworker – but you’re a pretty big sweetie, too for not telling her. :p Sounds like you have quite the day ahead of you! ETK is tough only because it’s so intense for so short a time. 5 minutes of Turkish Get Ups is basically pure torture! Wow. Hope today is a good one!!

Hello to all who follow! I’m taking Jimmy in to a local PetsMart to test out their doggie day care – I don’t want to go to the big chains, but no one else is close enough and he needs to play a few times a week. We’ll see how it is.

Good morning cheetahs

Sunny...enjoy your cardio workout today.

Kath...enjoy your 9 miles and shoulder workout.

Cathy...WOW!!! a marathon in Oct!!! Way to go....:D..I have always wanted to do Bay to Breakers and would love to join you next year! LOL about the hills...after a few marathons I always felt that just flat was boring and liked at least the variety of a few hills...Galloway has some great running programs, will you be following his Marathon training? Have fun with Providence today.

Christine...I will have to get to the Bay area for some of these runs you talk about. I have not run one there in a long time...I did "The Presidio", where you run back and forth across the Golden Gate bridge once. I think it was 10 miles and it was a blast. Not sure if they even run it anymore. We are supposed to get rain today...I love the start of spring when everything is so green...:)...you want a 35 lb KB....wow!!! That is so cool DD15 will run the July race with you!! Hope the Petsmart day care works out for Jimmy.

Shelly..I cannot even imagine trying to pack DH's garage!! Yikes...you are doing great getting things done. No, I have never done an easy coast marathon. Yes, I would love to do one again. I can't even begin to explain how much I miss distance running. Good job with your 2 Amy's yesterday!

Wendy..Napa is a beautiful course and I ran it twice, the 2nd time I just wanted to qualify for Boston and I did...:)...LOL about your spare room story as that is so true...I didn't like meatloaf when I WAS eating meat!! When I was away at college, I wrote my Mom and joked that I really missed her meatloaf....so guess what she cooked when I visited??? Me and my big mouth!! Great workout this morning...

Wendi...it was great getting that room cleaned up...can we ever have too many exercise related toys??!!...:D..you had a busy day yesterday...good job on the 6.75 miles. A rest day might be good today as you will be busy with work and hay (which might not really be resting!!)

Dallas...So how are you like the "X" after 6 weeks? I am liking my straight hair, all I do is just blow dry it, it is just odd right now passing a mirror!! DH liked the bench and I told him I would like him to use it also...I prefer ITR over HLK also. I am not a true Hi/Lo fan although HLK I will eventually tackle.

Kristi...sorry the knee is still giving you issues. Have you considered Physical Therapy?

I have some nice DOMS from the GS workout yesterday...:D...today I need to get more done around here and finally get my taxes e-filed. I will do GS legs standing (freestyle), abs, and 4DS Kickbox and a couple of ITR combo's.

Have a great day...:)

Good morning cheetahs:) Got so much accomplished yesterday so I'm feeling good! Made good progress towards packing the garage--what a task!! I expect to be hiring a realtor for selling our place here this week also so things are moving right along. I was so busy with packing that I put off my second workout (ITR) until after supper... whew boy was I ready for bed! Back to work tonight so only time for workouts and "routine" chores today.

Carole- Crossing my fingers that this year your distance runs will be coming back... without pain! Would LOVE to do a full mary with you someday! I only got a taste of running with you in Vegas... I want more!;-) :7 Bet it'll be a relief to get those taxes e-filed!

SunnyD- Hope you get in a good sweatfest! No NROWL today?

Christine- That Wharf to Wharf run does sound like fun!! Is this the race your DD will run with you? This will be quite a raceing season coming up for the cheetahs!

Cathy- WOW! When you decide something you really go for it! Chicago is on my list of marathons I'd like to do someday for sure. Wish I could swing it for this year and do it with you but with my moving schedule it's too soon. Anyway, I get to run with Wendy on her 18 miler :) We'll be with you in spirit for sure.
Very smart to make it a nice long gradual training program!!!!

Jennie- Hope you come back to chat some with us!! Smart to wait til the shins feel better before trying another run.

Wendi- I'd say you are getting a plenty good workout with Haymax today.... hardly a rest day for you! Awesome job pushing thru that heavy leg feeling and getting in your run!!!

Wendy- Good job with frying the upper body today! I know exactly what you are talking about with those over the top parties for kids.
My In-laws are New York Italians! DH thinks its absurd too!

Dallas- Welcome back... you do sound like it's been mega busy for you and your DH. Shaking my head over the soccer drama going on... absolutely beyond my comprehension I'm afraid! Let us know how it works out.... very curious!

Kath- I'm not remodeling the house.... although it sounds like it!
We're just getting it in shape to sell. I'm relocating from Az to Pa!! Gonna be an Eastern Cheetah :7 Fantastic job with the 9 mile run! When and where is your half marathon? Do I remember correctly... this is your goal right?

Kristi- HUGS to you sweetie! Good idea to check back with the doc soon. Please keep us updated!!!

That about catches me up for now. I'll be doing a 5 mile interval run today and then HSTA.

tata

Good morning Cheetahs!

Sunny - Hope you had a good sweatfest with Tracey.

Kath - Have a great run! Wow, hope you have energy left for the rest of the workout!

Cathy - Enjoy Providence. Do you mean the Chicago marathon? You go girl!

Wendy - No DOMS after last night? Tough girl! Good workout today.

Wendi - If I could keep a good supply of boxes, packing would go better. I've gotten lots done still. I did not enjoy the game last night because Memphis lost. ;( Nice of you to think of co-worker and not have her coming in.

Christine - That's great that DD will run the race with you. You will have fun training together. Good luck with the doggie daycare.

Carole - So, how many marathons have you ran? My mind just can't get past a half right now. Hope you get those taxes completed. Enjoy your workout.

Shelly - Great job getting the garage packed. You are moving right along, aren't you? Know you did sleep well. Have a good night at work. Enjoy your run.

Today's workout was Shelly's famous speed ladder, 20 minutes on the elliptical and stretching.

Have a nice day!

Jackie

Hello Cheetah Friends..

Sheesh, it’s already been a week since I posted last – where does the time go? Thanks for the thoughtful wishes about my DD and she is much better from the strep and back to work/school. However, it has been a crappy week – death and taxes. We received news last week a friend of ours was killed in a car accident on his way to work in Truckee and the service is for this coming Saturday. I just feel so bad for his wife right now – I remember going to their wedding 9 years ago. Then we found out we owe an exorbitant amount of money for taxes. We’ve never had to pay this much, so Miss Posh also got the kibosh on the spending for now as well! LOL…so I’ll be a Posh-less Cheetah temporarily.. Anyhoo, the past week was not the grandest but I’m working on making this one better.

My comments on the marathon chatter …….

Flying Pig is one I’ve really wanted to do someday – it’s in May in Cincinnati, OH and has a few challenging hills....there is also a half marathon option here as well.

Been looking at cruise to run for a couple of years but it seems I always have another cruise or vacation already booked – like next year’s cruise to run is in Feb and I already have the family cruise booked for april so ….would love to do the cruise to run someday…

I’d love to join Cathy in Chicago but this year as you know, I’ll be going to Maui (1/2) in Sept and me thinks DH might consider throwing me from the train tunnel if I sign up for something in October that requires travel expenses.

The Rock n’ Roll events are all quite fun. We (my running buddy and I) did 4 half-marathons and a full-marathon last year to get the Rock Star medal.. really fun. San Antonio has been added new this year though. I think I liked Nashville the best – very pretty course.

And as for the Bay to Breakers in SF – done that once and it was quite different – very funny to see all the zany costumes etc. When I can I’ll post some pics I have to my pictrail of the “Village People” on Hayes St hill….I’d be "down for that" next year …lol.

Oh phooey, I don’t have time for personals as I’m out of time and must get ready to go to work. I am still having trouble trying to figure when I can post here, workout and work it all into my new schedule.

Keep up the great work ya’ll and enjoy the day!

Thomasina :7

PS to Wendy lou – I have no doubts you can easily run a full marathon. Somebody said anyone can do it if you put your mind to it and I totally agree. Once you run your 18 miles, I’ll lay odds you’ll be signing up for more than one marathon…lol. You go girl! Give yourself more credit!

Fly by post. Im suppose to be packing :) :) :+ I tried on shorts from last year and they are too big--- that's good but now I need to shop--wait is that bad? }(

I need to START packing

I shall return.

Oh I'm so glad I moved my long run to today. Had more time :)

BBL

Hi Girls.

So I can't come to Chicago to help cheer Cathy on OR run the half. My 18 miler is the VERY SAME DAY!!! Doesn't THAT figure!:-(

I developed some DOMS in my legs from PLB after all. It's in my inner thighs. YEOWCHEES. Feels good though!}(

It's so nice to know that my work out is behind me for today! YAY! It's a good thing cause it will give me to time to do more preparation for vacation.

Speaking of vacation...making arrangements for my dog is driving me out of my mind! We were going to leave him with DH's cousin but his dog hurt himself several months back and had to have his leg operated on. It was believed that the dog would be fine by now so we could leave our dog with them. (the 2 dogs always play together) Well, we just found out on Sunday night that DH's cousin's dog is still limping so no go on the dog sitting. That meant last minute scrambling for a kennel! Well the last and ONLY time we kenneled him was years ago and the only shot that was required was rabies. NOW we find out that distemper is required as well as bordatella or whatever it's called. The only thing we can do for the bordatella is hope they can give the shot via the nasal cavity as that takes effect quicker otherwise we are just very lucky this particular kennel is willing to and able to isolate him so that he does not give or get the virus. As for the distemper we were going to have to get a note from the vet stating that he okayed the dog not getting it (which my husband doesn't believe the vet will be willing to do) but instead we were able to get a last minute appointment tmrw night to get him the shot. PHEW! I love my dog but having him is going to turn my gray faster then having my son!:p I am making a mental note to make sure the dog gets distemper and bordatella EVERY year matter what now cause I don't want to have to deal with this again!!!!x(

Okay, I feel better now that I've ranted a bit!:)

I gotta put the munchkin down for his nap and then I'll be back for personals!

I'm back. :+

Christine: WOW, you really know how to round 'em up, don't you? You work in sales right? It's obvious the way you seem to be able to convince people to do anything you want them to do!;) If I tried to convince any of my friends of family members to RUN a race with me they'd laugh me right out the door! LOL I'm lucky I got my 2 training clients to WALK that 5K last year!:p
I am jealous that you will get to cheer Cathy on. Have lots of fun for me!:)

Carole: So you qualified for Boston? That's so awesome!!! Did you ever actually run the Boston mary!? :) LOL at the meatloaf story. Gotta watch whatcha' say I guess, huh? :p So did you choke down that meatloaf your mom made just for you or feed it to the dog when she wasn't looking? :7

Shelly: Sounds like you have gained control over the packing thing. Good for you. You are gonna be out here with the East coast cheetahs before you know it! Can't wait! :) Those italians are just crazy I tell ya!;) I wanted to go out to Chicago to cheer Cathy on but our 18 miler is the same darned day! Do you believe that!?!? We will be running "with" Cathy though so that's very cool. :)

Jackie: Okay, inquiring minds want to know...what's Shelly's famous speed ladder? }(

Posh: (((hugs))) I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's sudden death. Are there kids in the family? Thanks for the vote of confidence on the marathon! Perhaps you will be able to run it with me! I already have Shelly onboard with me!:)

Kath: Done packing? :)

Hello again! Finished with my chores and workouts and thought I'd pop in again before naptime.

Jackie- OMG- we're on the same wavelength girl! I opted for the speed ladder myself today... hadn't done it for a while- great sweatfest of a workout:) That's awesome that you also managed an EXT workout!!

Thomasina- Wow, you've had a helluvaweek!!! You're still our positive posh though:) Hugs to you!

Kath- It's always good when we have to shop for clothes because our current ones are too big:7 :7 :7

Wendy- Wow.... major hassle there with your pooch!! I got a headache reading that!! ;-) It is a little sad Cathy wont be with us on the 18 miler-- oh well!

Shelly,

I don't know if I should THANK YOU for posting this work out or not!}( LOL I asked for it though so I guess I shouldn't complain!:p Thanks, I will give it a shot but something tells me I might be changing the #'s a little bit. I don't know if I can do the 8.0 thing!?!

cathy- woooohoooo! you did it!! you signed up!! i am so excited for you. you know those of us who can't be there physically will definitely be there in spirit. i am sooooo proud of you.

wendy- glad you found some DOMS:7 . i was going to do her Kickbox (the one i did last week that gave me fierce DOMS) but i decided on KPC instead.

christine- that's alot of TG's:) . when i first learned about those a long time ago i hated them. i recently told dh if i am going to love kb workouts i had better learn to love TG's, lol. not to enable you or anything. i know you just got ETK. however your description of firepower is why i love the tt workouts so much. they are weight training, with bodyweight training and Kb's all into one!!

shelly- nwolw is a 3 day workout plan. the other days i get to pick what i want to do!! wow that speed ladder looks tough}(

wendi- did you see the latest issue of cooking light yet? it has a boxing circuit workout!!! i am going to tack this on after my nwolw workout on friday}( :7

carole- enjoy those legs DOMS (are you still doing freestyle legs??), hope you get those taxes done today.

ms. posh- we miss u!! ((hugs re: your friend's death, i am so sorry)

jackie- sounds like a fierce workout you did today, whew!

dallas- how you you doing girl??!!

for all of you wii lovers we bought a new game called playground over the weekend. it is old school games like dodgeball, wallball, tether ball, etc. it is a whole lotta fun!!!

Hi Gals!

I did 4.5 miles on the treadmill. I had either old DOMS or new DOMS from the stair workout y-day, so it was definitely slower than I planned. I then did some more glute exercises from the Oxygen mag, then X Stretch. I really like that stretch it hits everything really well.

Cathy ~ Woo hoo you're coming to Chicago. Gosh, I should keep you company, but from the sidelines. ha ha!!! ;-) I'll definitely be there. I was thinking more of the 1/2. Don't know if I could be mentally or physically prepared for the full by October esp with this crazy schedule we keep here. I couldn't agree with you more about the kid's sports at this young age. I think DH is rocking the "powers that be" by not following there bench philosophy. We think they're trying to push him out of the organization. :( The parents are not happy. So, they've asked for another meeting. Does Galloway have that plan on the website?

Kristi ~ Bummer about your stubborn injury. I'm glad you're going back to the doc. Keep us posted!

Wendy ~ lol'd at your comment about "rockin' the X". I'm sure trying over here. I wish I had a way to try assisted pull ups though. I feel ready to tackle that. Good job getting the leg w/o last night!

Wendi ~ See ^^^ to Cathy. The parents are actually backing DH 100%. That made him feel better after last night's meeting. I know I'm still trying to find the right balance between cardio and weights. There's nothing like running to lean you out! :)

Christine ~ 5 solid minutes of TG!!!! Ouchie!!!! }( You know DS wasn't as sick as we've been here in the past. It was that darn cough keeping the two of us up all night. The Pulmicort was the winning med. :) What a great bounding time w/DD! I hope my kids will interested in running AND with me. ;-) How did Jimmy's playdate go? :)

Jennie ~ Welcome!!! I'm sorry I forgot y-day! Sounds like you got some good advice from these lovely ladies! :) I would try what Wendi suggested, but obviously stop if you're having too much discomfort.

Kath ~ So, now you have to go shopping!?!? Just what you need to do when you should be packing. Old Navy looked like they had some cute shorts. I had to stop there today at get DS more soccer shorts. I quickly browsed, but didn't buy anything for myself.

Sunny ~ How did Sweatfest go? I haven't done that one in so long. Thought of you on the stairs y-day! :) That Wii game sounds like fun!

Carole ~ There are days when I can't wait to be done w/the X, but than other days I'm looking forward to it. I have to say phase 2 the weight sections fly by! Did you ever post a hair picture? I liked Amy's first Hi/LO (well, i got the choreography), the Hi/Lo Dome I haven't actually given it much time. I figured I'll get both some day. ha ha

Shelly ~ See what I wrote to Cathy ^^^ about the soccer situation. Wow! ITR before bed!! I'd be wide awake. Sounds like everything is progressing nicely for the move. :)

Jackie ~ Nice job on the elliptical speed ladder w/o. Have you set a moving date yet?

Posh ~ (((HUGS))) so sorry for your loss.

Linda ~ What are you up to today?

HI Judy, Lorie & Lori

I have to go and pick up DD. Hope to get back, but homework and dinner will need to get done. NO practices tonight!!! Woo hoo!! :7

Sunny: Target had Playground advertised when we went looking for games but had none in stock. I thought perhaps it hadn't been released yet. I thought it looked like a good game and now that I know you like it, I HAVE to get it!:7

I just acquired my newest work out gadget...JUMP SNAP...It came today. I don't have time to use it today but I'll be using it tmrw. I'm so excited!!!

GTG get ready to head for mom's now!

BBL!:)
