::: CHEETAHS ::: Tues., 11/14

Hey gals! I should be back later for personals but I just wanted to report that DM is DONE! :+

Have a great afternoon!:)

Yay! Wendy. WTG!

Jess-cute story about the pictures. Can't wait to see them.

Laurie--have a great rest of the day

Linda--great run and DM, too! You are amazing!

Susan--I'll let you know what I think of the tapes when I try Them. I didn't get Ripped 1000, but might if I like these two.

Carole--fun workout today--how did it work doing the LIC and then running? I did Baron Baptiste yoga today-- nice hip stretching for me.

Christine--I love the donut guy imagery. Fun that we did the same abs today. They are hard, but I feel good afterwards.

Mattea--glad your weekend was fun. Great workout yesterday. You know I can't say the word "fartlek" around my house with two boys ages 10 & 13....

Hey cheetahs,

Just popping in for a quick check-in. I'll try to get back later. Today, I followed the November Rotation and did BM2-- the warm-up and step part 1, then I got on my bike for 12 minutes and did the bonus abs in B&G. The bonus abs in B&G kicked my rear...great w/o, it went by so fast!

Enjoy your evening and workouts everyone,

Katrina:)

OK, I decided on Drill Max today!! I did it Friday but just love it so I couldn't resist it!! It's just so fun!!! I love all of the *football style* drills, those fast feet are just fun! I was sooo sweaty though, so had to take my 2nd shower of the day. That's why I usually like to get my cardio done first thing!!

I got in & out of the dentist faster than I thought so I ran to Kohl's again. I still had my 30% off coupon to use so I got some candles for teacher gifts & really cute boots for the girls. Originally $39 for $15.99 & then 30% off- yeah!!

Gotta run & get the girls a snack before ice skating lessons!

And glad you all got a chuckle out of Allison & the lipgloss!! Mattea ~ You are soooo sweet. I am sooo not a perfect Mom but we try to have fun at least!! I wish I had taken a pic of her, but was too frazzled to think about it at the time!! Funny that you said classy, that's the word that sooo many people used to describe my Grandma!! (and that's a good thing!)

Have a great night- rainy & yucky here still!!

Good girl, Wendy!! You survived! I did it again today too, loooove it!! I'm sure you needed a shower like me, I was dripping like crazy w/ those last pushups w/ the weights!!! Yuck!

Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers. You know I said I have none of the symptoms for Hypothyroidism? I don’t. I have 80% of the symptoms for HypERthyroidism. Except for the one I would LOVE to have… Rapid, unexplainable weight loss!!! Isn’t that just my luck! But it would explain why I’ve been able to eat like a horse and stay around the same weight. Hmm… That one never crossed my mind, until I started reading the symptoms. Sighs… I will bet dollars to donuts (they’re BAAACKK) that I simply have an enlarged thyroid and the calcifications are merely a coincidence. Well, the ultrasound will show something, and I have to get the blood tests as well – I lost the paper for that. Need to get another from the doc.

Mattea – I am so happy that you had a terrific time with DH this weekend! Aren’t those the best? You come back feeling relaxed and really connected. You think I need a rest? Man, I cannot seem to get it moving any more! And if I’m right, then treatment will take a while. Oh well, I’ll keep plugging along and doing what I can.

Sunny – thanks! I appreciate it!

Linda – one of the symptoms of hyperthyroidism is weak upper arms. That’s my excuse for not being able to do the dive bombers… :+ Thanks for your well wishes!

Wendy – so did you like DM? Inquiring minds want to know! By the way - WAY TO GO! That is a tough one!

Barb – you know, that stupid commercial probably helps me more than anything else! I have to smile as I shuffle around the room getting up. Starting the day with a smile is a good thing.

Katrina – great workout! How fun! I love the way we can mix and match these ones! Bless Cathe!

Jess - that you can laugh about it a day later shows your class. I love hearing what you do with your girls. I think you are a terrific mom. And great minds think a like! I always mumble that commercial in the mornings. Makes me smile.

Just peekin’ in again real quick before I hunker down and resume my paper, which will be followed by a good solid chunk of grading as the end of the marking period is Thursday. Crunch time – oh yeah! Fun night ahead…lol!

Barb :: glad you’re making a good dent in the laundry pile. Sounds like a great workout today.

Wendy :: I do get annoyed sometimes, too, when my workout schedule gets flubbed up, but sometimes there’s nothing you can do about it. This is one of those weeks. I’m just gonna lump it and do what I can do.

Sunny :: rainy mornings are the worst! Glad you had fun with DM—one I’m striving to get to this week. The divebombers do look rough. We do something similar in yoga and I’m pretty weak at them.

Carole :: hope you enjoyed a rain-free run!

Christine :: Yes, I remember that commercial and find myself saying that from time to time, too. Sorry to hear you’re feeling achy. Anxiously awaiting the ultrasound results…fingers are crossed for ya!!

Susan :: ahhh, massage! Enjoy!!

Mattea :: thanks for the vibes…that sounds like the run I had yesterday. Soaked to the core and covered in mud. But I enjoyed it. I’m weird like that. :)

Linda :: pizza and chips & dip! Some of my favorite foods…yum! Yes, hopefully I’ll be able to catch up. Thanks for the good wishes. TM followed by DM! Whoa!!

Laurie :: enjoy your date night!

Hi to anyone I've missed...have a great night!
cathy :)

mattea, wow thats hard to narrow it down to just one thing as far as the toughest thing. some of the wt training ex's are real killers to some of the people and as far as cardio, I do lots of plyometric ex's that really fire up your legs. Yesterday I did jump squats and everyone was ouchin about there legs. we run the stairs,do wall jumps, lots of pushups, run with med ball overhead, sleigh pulls( you wrap tubing around someone and resist them as they run).

so for those of you who have done p90x can I just skip their cardio and run instead or should I just add a run. I really would skip it like the kickboxing stuff if I could get away with it. I dont want to give up my runs. I know the double would allow a run as extra but deleting their kickboxing workout altogether, would that hinder results?

Hey there all! Well, ya know the news isn't peachy when the technician goes to check the film and the doctor comes in for more detail. *shrugs* Basically, there's a big a$$ lump in my neck. I could have told them that. Doc was a little surprised at how big, and that I did not notice it before (fast growing = bad) but honestly, who feels their neck for lumps? It could have been there for two years, since my last physical. There are also several little ones. The big one seems to be half solid, half liquid which is a little more concerning than if it were completely liquid, but I read that if there is more than one nodule then it is rarely cancer. So, that's good news. So, really what I know right now is that I need a biopsy of the big lump. That's a pretty simply proceedure - nothing major. After that, we'll know more...

Christine,
Thank you for keeping us posted. I have been thinking about you all day. Well, that is good news that it is probably not cancer. Maybe they will just remove it and that will be that. When is your biopsy scheduled? Try not to think the worst. It is good that they have found it and now it is just about treating it. This will be old news soon. Take care and try not to worry.((((BIG HUGS)))

Susan

Well, I just finished all of butts and gutts. This was the first time I did the whole thing. Wow, the lying leg work is tough, but very fun!!!! I just love these new workouts! So, I ran 4 miles and did all of B@G, so I am good to go. Have a great evening folks and BTW, my massage was wonderful.

Nighty Night,
Susan

Great workout Susan!! Wow! I'm jealous! :+ And thanks. I cannot tell you and the other Cheetahs what your support means to me. This is truly a special group of ladies and I'm honored to be a part of y'all!

Hey Christine, wow Girl, that's a lot to digest, I feel for you! Here's a big {{{{{{{{HUG}}}}}}}. As much as is possible I hope that you can be free of excessive worry and anxiety through this tough time of appointments, tests and (the worst) waiting for results. Your bright spirit, humour and intellegence are a perfect foil to the mind's tendancy to be negative (or as my friend and I call it 'stinkin' thinkin'). I'm thinking of you lots and sending oceans of positive vibes your way!!!

Take Care
Laurie:)
