:::CHEETAHS:::Too early to be creative Thursday

Christine- yes! no back pain!!! i think KB will be my next venture. The trainer DS uses is a fan of them. In fact, he loaned me a DVD last fall. I have to ask him if ican borrow it again!

Gloria- congrats on the new puppy! he is adorable!

There is nothing like a good Cathe sweatfest to lift spirits. I just finished Hardcore Extreme, the one with 3 imax3 intervals alternated with KM intervals. There are a total of 12 intervals. it is just what I needed today. Plus I talked to the wife of our friend and I am going to go see them later this afternoon. (Thank you for continued prayers)

Also, it looks like DS will get a parking spot at BC this year. They are hard to come by. And if he has a car then we do not have to fly him home for holiday breaks. He will also be able to ski with his own transportation. Allowing him to take the car to school will be his 21st birthday gift from us.

Good (ALMOST) Afternoon to my Cheetah Babes.:7

Well..I *FINALLY* gave CC vol 7 a whirl and all I can say is OH.MY.GOD.!!! I am sooooooooooo *SPENT* and seriously doubting my ability to push out a bell w/o this afternoon but we'll see!:p

Well it looks like Joey is registered and ready to go for school in the fall! We will be getting a letter in the mail stating the particulars for opening day. :+
The proofs of res. that I brought in were apparently fine AND I was able to find his BC afterall! YAY! I *KNEW* I had it! Problem is that we got a filing cabinet a couple of Christmases ago. I guess I never transferred EVERYTHING over from where I was keeping my paperwork originally so Joey's BC as well as some other stuff was left behind in the old filing space. Glad I looked! That saved me about $30 between the fee for the BC and the cost of gas plus the time it would have taken to get there and back!

Gonna go grab some food now but I'll be back for personals in a little bit. :)

Hello Cheetahs!

Wendi - Great job sneaking in Imax 2 yesterday! Good luck with getting another quickie in today. I know you will find a way to work and go to school too. Get those creative juices flowing.

Cathy - You mean you would really miss your Saturday dose of bills? :) Since I work M-F, the 5 days wouldn't wouldn't have an effect on me except to increase the workload on Monday. x( iStretch-on-the-couch! Too funny! I was wondering about the forum transfer too. Hope they give plenty of notice.

Gloria - Good job on the 5 miles! So nice to have a good trail close by. Glad you enjoyed your friend. Congratulations on the new doggie!! Can't view the pics from here. I'll have to remember to do it from home.

Wendy - Sounds like you and Joey had a grand ol' tiring time at the zoo. You're allowed to enjoy your meals on all special occasions. Just don't have too many of them. :) Glad you found that BC and got Joey all situated for the school year. Is he excited?

Shelly - Glad you and DH enjoyed the day boating. Thanks for explaining scungili. Love those when I visit the islands. Yay for getting that run in before it got too hot. May look into that vest since I'm not sure if I want a squat rack or not. Glad the new house and a new gym has put the exercise twinkle in DH eye. That will be worth the $$$.

Judy - Hope you can get to see your friend today. Have fun at the barn sale tomorrow. Glad the workouts lifted your spirits!

Carole - Bet traffic will be tied up there today. Don't mind the dignitaries visiting but hate when I can't get from point A to point B without a hassle. That's when you try your best to avoid those areas. Don't know if I want a squat rack yet. I want my next piece of equipment to be a heavy bag. Enjoy your workout today!

Christine - How did the presentation go? Guess they want you to be over prepared, huh? Glad the back pain seems to be gone. I know you're being extra careful too. Have you heard from DD?

I didn't feel like running this morning. So, I pulled out Bosu Blast and Kickbox Extreme. I did about 40 minutes of Bosu Blast including some of the core work. Then, I started with the bag work from KBE and went back and did the first two intervals. Finished up with the stretching from Super Charged Sculpting (Firm).

Hope you're having a wonderful day!

Jackie

Hi. I'm back. Nap has been taken and java is in hand. I am primed and ready for personals now girls! LOL

But first...Has everyone read the news? The forums are going off-line as of tonight around midnight and they are going to be getting the new site/forums online!!!! WOO HOO! Here's the thread in case anyone is interested:

http://69.0.137.118/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=2&topic_id=86634&mesg_id=86634&page=

I just hope they get the forums up and running with out any problems or there will be many ladies having serious withdrawal symptoms! I for one will be lost tmrw morning if they are not back online yet!

Judy: WOW, that must be one busy store during those sales if you are leaving at 5:30am to get there!!! Good luck! I hope you find the pieces that you want! How many pieces do you own so far? How long have been collecting? Continued prayers for your friend!

Christine: How did the VFers get into the Red Zone vid?? That's so cool! A KB version of Cathe's BootCamp work out??? Do tell! I want details! }( So why do they make you prepare more presentations then they make you give??? Does anyone atleast LOOK OVER the prepared one??? I don't get it! LOL

Carole: Glad to hear the smoke is clearing up some in your area. The rock in my belly is officially GONE after doing CC vol 7 this morning! No more food guilt after that one! }( Still enjoying the X+ I see? I need to hunker down and commit to another X rotation of some sort soon....*sigh*....but then there is also the committment of STS that will be here soon...*double sigh*...What's a girl to do? :p

Gloria: Your pup is the CUTEST! Good luck with her!!!!:+

Jackie: Great work out today. Yes, Joey is super excited about school. He want to go NOW and does understand why he has to wait! LOL I hope the excitement sticks. I don't want him to give me a hard time on the first day. That will make it harder then it's already going to be for me. ;(

Wendi: Cr@p girl, why did ya have to start the Chia pet tune goin' in my head again!? LOL

Howdy chickadees!

Unfortunately I didn't make it back here early enough to get that quickie in but I actually rode a couple of extra horses so that makes up right?...not! Oh well, the eating has been *squeaky* clean today so I'm quite happy with that :). I've had trouble lately with little cheats turning into rather large cheats so this good today.

Cathy - I saw "backwards home", too, LOL! Yikes!!! I've never understood people who don't ever think to actually *turn around* when you miss a street, house, etc...sheesh! Hope class went well and you're better than I about getting your workout in ;). Boss does know, in fact I think I saw him physically *GULP* when I said it off-handedly. I think he's still in denial ;).

Wendy - Whoa, thanks for the heads-up on the forum gong down tonight! I'll go check that out as soon as I close my little novel here. Sooooooo glad you found that BC...yay for Joey! Whew...that was some serious eating yesterday. Sorry about the chinese :(. I have the same problem with it...tastes sooooo good, then hits like a lead sinker then, within two hours of gorging myself I'm starving again x(. Although, I'm *always* starving so that's not all that new lol. Great job getting your mental-boosting-mini-workout in yesterday. Killer workout today too! You think you're gonna hit the bells today too ??? You are the woman!!!

Shelly - Great gads have you been busy!!! I don't know how you do it. Glad you had a great day on the bay. I absolutely *love* conch :9! Great job getting that run in this morning! The last two mornings have been perrrrrrfect for a run but I just can't squeeze it in this week, figures :(. I was actually close to falling asleep while driving home yesterday afternoon and that workout really got me going again :D. I had energy to spare the rest of the day.

Judy - Continued prayers being sent your way. I do hope you get to see your friend soon. Glad to hear that your killer workouts have been just the ticket for you! Enjoy your little adventure tomorrow.

Christine - UGH on those presentations and those ridiculous hours x(. Fantastic workout darling! You *sound* like you're feelin those endorphins :D. You've only got tomorrow left, right? Hang in there!

Carole - My fave Imax, too...just soooo much fun!!! Holy moly, what a workout today ...I bow down to you!

Gloria - Oh, she is adorable!!!! BTW, if you like step at all you *HAVE* to get IMAX 2. The fun factor on that one is through the roof :7!

Jackie - Awesome mish-mosh today! I keep telling myself that I've done the schedule juggling before and I can do it again. I was, at one point about 12 years ago, juggling full time work, full time college and university theater productions (can we say looooong nights ). I'm just not sure I have the energy to do that again AND get my workouts in (cuz those are non-negotiable) AND quality time with DSO. Okay, getting really frazzled thinking about this right now :(.

Posh - WOOHOO on the outdoor run!!!!! Breathing a sigh of relief for ya...no pun intended ;).

Alrighty, gonna be running my tush off for the rest of the night...back to barn to feed and then make dinner and get ready for bowling. DRAT!!! I should have done a wokrout so I could be nice and tired for bowling tonight, right Wendy ;)! I'm tellin' there is definitley something to that lol.

Have a great night ladies and see ya in the early am!

Wendi: I am seriously going to have to try to plan kick butt Monday work outs from now until the end of the summer bowling season so that I'm good and worn out come 7pm! I just posted else where that I was thinking of resting on Monday-NOT GONNA HAPPEN NOW! lol Thanks for reminding me!!!!;)

Wendy :: That's funny, I just added a signature to my email last night...Fantastic that you found the BC, saved some $$, and all is squared away. Thanks for the warning on CC#7 and the heads-up about the forums. Let's hope they're good-to-go without any glitches.

Judy :: I'm glad to hear your friend is doing OK. Continued good vibes & prayers are comin' your way...Enjoy the Mackenzie Childs sale. I hope you score big!

Christine :: I have to agree, that is really stupid to prepare for two and present only one. I would resent that, too, as a waste of my professional time. Regardless of the field, some things the big cheeses do just do not make any sense. I hope you get to do the one you want...MAJOR THANKS http://www.woofboard.com/forum/images/smilies/hail.gif on the generous contribution! The cheetahs are simply the best!...Nice job with crazy ol' Keith. :)

Carole :: I hear you--short workdays are sweet! :) *lol* Between the transfer and the taser, your post had me crackin' up. :7 The class was good, thanks! The local NB group is a professional community that I just love being a part of. I get pumped being around those folks.

Gloria :: awww! Isn't she a cutie? What about a literary name?

Shelly :: oh! Thanks for explaining the scungili. :)

Jackie :: I was thinking more about deliveries. :) Be nice if bills could be forwarded somewhere else. :p :7...Whew! Sounds like a tough workout! Great job...Thank you SO much for your donation. Feelin' lotsa cheetah love here and am VERY grateful!! http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/images/smilies/love.gif

Wendi :: oh yes, I could imagine your boss is already anticipating what a tremendous loss that will be when you go...http://www.enigmamusic.com/forum/images/smilies/thanx_1_prv.gif I so appreciate the Livestrong support!! This group just floors me...Good luck @ bowling tonight.

I am gonna snooze for a bit and then decide on a workout...famous last words :)

Wendi: It is so hot out today. Both dogs have been sleeping a lot. Ellie usually likes to be out all day. We did have some nice bonding time, thank you. :) Great job on the clean eating today!!! Maybe when I start getting paid again I will buy Imax 2. Have fun bowling tonight.

Cathy: I was thinking of the cheetahs last night and took some pics just for you ladies. DH said "you're taking those so you can show the Cheetahs." It was cute. My brain has been good at sending me the bad messages too. The eating has cleaned up decently though, so I am doing a little better. How was NB class today? I would have been scared driving with a person like that too. DH drives a little too fast for me. I am like an old lady going down the road, hands at 10 and 2, eyes fixed straight ahead. My friends are always teasing me about it. :) Enjoy whatever you decide to do tonight!

Shelly: You are the sweetest, thank you for posting that link. I figured you knew about the syllables since we all learn it in elementary school, just wanted to be sure. :) I like Casie too. I had a very nice student with that name. I did feel great yesterday with what I accomplished. How cool you got to cruise around in the boat with DH. A new home gym?! That will be great. Some things are so important to us that money is not an option. :) Kind of like us and our new family member.

Wendy: Consider our pact a done deal! :) I have HSTA too, but haven't done it in ages. The wt thing always cracks me up too. I am happy you found the BC. Getting that stuff again is cause for expletives in my opinion. I haven't downloaded CC7 yet. Perhaps tomorrow. I am hoping the forums are up and running soon too. I will miss you girls! :) There are so many helpful people on these boards. I really appreciate Cathe having such a great site and now it will be even better! Thanks re: my new friend. She is a doll.

Judy: It is wonderful to hear you are encouraged. What a great gift for your DS. Thank you re: our new friend. :) Your workout sounded really fun.

Christine: I am glad your back pain is not coming back. Thank you for your name reccommendation and sweet comment. :) I hope your presentations are successful, but I have a VERY strong feeling they will be fantastic! :) You seem to have a nice way with words. TGIF tomorrow!

Jackie: Thanks about the workout. :) It is really nice to be exploring the home front a little more. We have been in MT the last two summers. The pics are really big, I was too excited to show everyone to take the time to figure out how to resize them! Great combo for a workout today! Bosu Blast is really fun.

As I told Wendi, the dogs have been sleeping a lot, but since I do not have the kennel I really can't leave the pup alone. She stirs easily. I just can't keep my eyes off this precious creature. I know what it is like with puppies and I do have my hands full. She is only 8 weeks, so this is the easy part. Dh called and found us a kennel to borrow. He asked me to bring her into town so he could see her. How sweet is that? Have a fantastic evening everyone!I hope I can find you all on the new forums! :)

Carole: How exciting to have two famous people in town. I liked cross training with the EXT when I went to a gym last summer. I am glad the air quality is getting better for you. :)

Christine probably already knew this, but the proper spelling of our dog's breed is Llewellin Setter. :) She is a sporting breed. DH and many of our friends are bird hunters in the fall.

*****WARNING*****

Bowling centered post ahead....feel free to disregard, unless you're Wendy ;).

About 2 years ago I was in a bit of a slump and could NOT figure out what the problem was. I had quite the arsenal (5-6 balls), something for every shot the house could put out on the lanes so it wasn't really a question of not having the right equipment for the condition. I racked my brains for months...I had been averaging between 200 and 222 for years and now I was struggling to hold low 190s. What was different, something had to be different? BINGO...Cathe }(! I had never done any kind of strength training and didn't realize that I had made some *serious* strength gains (coupled with the weight loss which probably altered my timing and center of balance a leetle bit).

So I tried a little experiment. I bought another ball (identical to my most consistent and reliable piece) except I went up in weight from 14 - 15lbs. I had my guy drill it identically to the lighter one. Guess what }(....279, 260 something, 280 right out of the box. Now, of course, a brand new ball does hit like a mack truck out of the box but what I found is that my *consistency* and my timing came back because I couldn't muscle it around as much. I had to let the ball do the work.

Mind you I can now muscle the 15 lbers around but not as bad. I am not going to 16 lbs though...previous wrist fracture probably woudn't like it very much lol.

Sooooooo, very long anecdote short ;). Is your ball the right weight for you? I know you DH is very knowledgable so he's probably got you hooked up pretty good with equipment, but, food for thought.

I'm done boring you ladies now :p.

Back to our regularly scheduled thread...

Hi ya Girls!:)

So since I last checked in DH and I got into a HUGE fight. OMG! We recovered from it quite nicely but WOW was he mad. He does not get really teed off often. He was ON FIRE before! I'm glad it's over with. I left him alone to "cool off" and then we actually went shopping to Kohl's together with Joey and on the way home we talked about it and cleared the air.

We went to Kohl's cause I got a 30% off coupon in the mail. It was actually DH's call to go to Kohl's to use it cause he needed a few things. I may very well never have gotten there if I didn't know he wanted to shop! Imagine that!?! :p DH picked up a pair of flip flops, some shorts, tshirts and sox. I got Joey 2 tshirt, a bathing suit and a pair of sandals and I got myself a pair of nicely sized silver hoop earrings, 2 hats, a pair of glitzy sunglasses, a pair of flip flops and a dust-buster. (okay so household appliances are not exciting usually but I am actually excited about this purchase!LOL) Everything we bought was ALREADY on sale for cheap and then we got the 30% off the total bill! Talk about a steal! I LOVE THAT STORE!:7

So in reading the O/F just before I clicked on a link that was posted and quite by accident, found the beginnings of my next rotation I think! It's a very simple weight work out plan. It's about 10 exercises, each done for 10 reps (as heavy as possible) with as little rest between sets as possible. The routine is to be done 2x per week but I may up it to 3. I'll have to see. It's called HIT or High Intensity Training. I guess it's based on a similar premis to HIIT in that you hit it hard and fast. Anyway it seems to be simplicity at it's best. PERFECT to pair up with my race training next month I think. Who knows what kind of results it will render but I won't know if I don't give it a shot, right? Ofcourse this is all tentative cause you know how I easily I get side-tracked and turned on to something else so we'll see!:p :7

Off to make some decaf and then I'll post personals...:)

Cathy: LOL, I guess great mind think alike, ey? ;) I think the link in your email will help alot. So they really charge your cc if you don't meet your goal!? WOW!...You know I had the pre-k paperwork since the beginning of May. It took me weeks to fill it out cause it was intimidating with so many pages! I finally did that and then I kept forgetting to make Joey's physical appointment with the doc! FINALLY got that squared away at the end of June and then started losing sleep over getting together the neccessary docs and handing it in so when I finally decided to just do it and I couldn't find the BC, I almost had a melt down over it! LOL Feels good to have that monkey off my back. So it's official now! My little boy is going to school in the fall...:D;( ...It's bittersweet for sure! Thank goodness I decided to drive him there and pick him up as opposed to opting for bus transportation or I'd really have a cow!:p :7

Gloria: Oh my goodness you would HATE driving in a car with me! LOL I am subdued in town but on the highways well...not so much!}( I am keeping everything crossed that the forums are up and running tomorrow. Perhaps wanting them online at 6am is too much to ask but having them running by the time I get home at noon would be wonderful!:) You need to download CC7 and do it asap! It is amazing! Actually, just do ONE of the challenges! That's all you need! The 3rd challenge isn't as butt-kickin' as the first 2 and likely for good reason considering it's at the end but challenges 1 and 2 are great for short, stand alone work outs.

Wendi: I am usually starving shortly after a chinese food meal myself but y'day was a different story. I wasn't very hungry yet when we left go out for dinner last night at 7pm! That is very unusual for me because like you, I tend to be hungry more then I'm not! LOL Hitting the bells today would have been KILLER and soooo not wise. I didn't think I'd hit it so hard on the TM which is why I thought I'd do a bell work out but as soon as CC7 was over, I KNEW the bells were pretty much history. :p As far as bowling balls go...I started with a 10 pounder when I was 18. Soon enough, as you can well imagine, I was throwing that thing through the roof. It was constantly lofting cause it was way too light! I am pretty sure I got a 12 pounder after that and then I started dating a bowler (not my DH) and he convinced me to go with a 14.5 pounder and I had it drilled out for finger tip and tried learning how to throw a hook. It was NOT good. LOL That ball brought me into my relationship with DH. I bowled a couple leagues with him early on and then quit bowling all together. This was about 8 years ago. I picked it back up a couple years late on a leisure basis at which point DH decided that the 14.5 pounder was too heavy for me even though I was working out at that point. He had me trade it up for what I have now...another 12-12.5. I have asked him if he thinks it's too light now and he seriously doesn't think so because when I relax and don't yank it or heave it, I can actually throw a pretty nice ball. :)

Hi ya Posh!!!!:7

WOW, another super chatty post! This is sooo not like me! I'm a quiet person by nature. I wonder what's going on!? :p

Okay well this is my last post before the forums go down....I'll see you on the other side ladies!}(

Good night!:*
