Good Morning Glories.:)

Well, I've been awake since 4am.x( Thank goodness I went to bed at a reasonable hour last night (10pm) or I'd be in trouble later. It's still lookin' good for a nap though. ;)

Today's work out is upper body only. Not sure if I'll be sportin' the bells or go traditional with Cathe. I'll make that decision when the time comes.

Gotta work this morning. Early shift-8am start-which means I'm outta there by 11am. YAY!:+

Going to mom's for dinner tonight. Hope she's making something yummy!:9

BBL.

hi morning glories (liked that one, wendy!)!

i am leaving for florida this morning so this may be my last personals for a while *sniff sniff*. i'll be back monday afternoon. i am so excited to see my neice and meet my big ol' nephew!!!

wendy-another bad sleep here! i think it was a amixture of being so, so busy yesterday, being excited about vacay, and just a bad sleep. i am sooooo tired but excited to be seeing my fan-damily later.

carole-yah, she sure is a cutie, with a personality to match!!! i got the packing done, begrudgingly, and am sure i packed way too much (i always do)!

christine-http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/29/29_3_3.gif 9lbs. 13 oz. delivered naturally. i can not even imagine!!! sorry you are sick. i am still not totally over the summer crud i got last week. now, it's to the point where it's just annoying. i am so looking forward to being on a plane with all that stale air...ugh!

gloria-funny you said that about a weak stomach. i have one, too. it sucks because i can gag at the smallest things!!! hey, btw, are you a teacher?! ;) that recipe looks yum! i'm going to have to add it to my collection!

jackie-if i have kids, i definitely agree with your theory!!! knock me out as much as you possibly can! i can't imagine delivering naturally when there are so many *great* meds out there. ;-) i am such a wimp when it comes to pain!!!

wt-are you finally njoying your time off? any of those places you mentioned sounds good (i know dean would LOVE england). i say we start plannign a wonder twin world cup tour (which would mean gloria might have to join if it's gonna be the wt world tour!!!)

so, i am going to do nrolw and probably lis or something similar. i need to keep my workout to about an hour total today so i can get a move on. i packed (YUCK!!!) last night but still have some odds and ends to do as well as get the pups all ready for their baby sitter!

i will probably be scarce while on vacay because i will want to spend as much time with gina and ian as i can (i never get to se them!). dean has already told me that he doesn't expect me to pay a lot of attention to him (understandably) but i want to make sure he feels at ease and included (altho, my fam is REALLY good at doing that). not to mention, my brother is a HUGE footie (soccer) fan and i predict they will talk soccer A LOT. gina loves it and knows all the newcastle and dc united (they live in dc) chants! how cute!

anyway, if i don't check in again today, have a wonderful day, ladies. i will miss you while i am gone and be thinking about you! have a WONDERFUL holiday! http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_14_2.gif

RE: :::Cheetahs:::Too early to be creative on a Wednesd...

Good morning, everyone~~~ http://www.shenet.se/forum/images/smilies/grin2.gif

Gloria ~ oh, I forgot about that part in Loser. Blech. :7 I had two boys who were really into Gary Paulsen this year. They happened to be farmers and wanted to read anything that had to do with the outdoors. Boys are our toughest customers, aren't they? Sometimes it's hard to generate their interest in reading...Your rotation looks good to me.

Lorie ~ Have a safe trip (you flying or driving?) and enjoy the long holiday weekend with your fam...you'll be missed!...*lol* about our WT World Tour. :7

Wendy ~ <<I expect you will add it in to your new rotation now! }( >> Really now? What are you, getting a commission anytime someone does the exercises from one of Tony's vids? ;) :7 *lol*

We finally have a respite from the humidity this morning, so I don't have to fly out the door just yet to get in my run. In addition, I'll be working CST and abs.

Have a great morning! :)

RE: :::Cheetahs:::Too early to be creative on a Wednesd...

Good Day Cheetahs :)

Cathy- enjoy your not so humid conditions :)

Wendy- Have a nice dinner with the family.

Lori- have a fantastic family 4TH weekend!

We have a family reunion on Saturday at my brother's house. He goes crazy organizing it. DH and kids and I laugh at all his e-mails about the menu. There have been at least 20 of them over the months. Our cousin, who is a jesuit priest, will say mass at 4:00. So we all get these e mails saying don't eat any appetizers after 3:00. ??? Hello! why don't we just skip the appetizers until after the mass? It is not like we can skip them mass in the middle of DB's yard! This brother will take a simple situation and make it complicated every time. Oh, sorry to ramble.

Today is another NROL4W 4B. I had an achy back yesterday, I thought it might have been the NR workout from Monday and golf combined. it does feel beter this morning. ( thank you great mattress!)

We also had 2 loose chipmunks in the house yesterday. I found one with Waldo chasing it when I went to do my treadmill run. Naturally I waisted some of my workout time looking to get it out of the house....grrrr... I had no success. So later I looked with DS and his buddy, the cats were not interested. Again we had no luck. Then a few hours later, DS's buddy informs us it is on a pillow in the lower level. At this time I have the photographer here taking DD's senior pictures. My son, took the pillow opened the walkout basement door and flung the chipmunk without looking. It landed inches from where DD was being photographed! I wont even go into the next chipmunk incident which occurred a few hours later in my bedroom. Lets just say it caused chaos!

RE: :::Cheetahs:::Too early to be creative on a Wednesd...

Good Morning Cheetahs!

Lorie: Sounds like a fun trip! I hope your travels are safe. Too funny about the wt comment! :)

Cathy: I was thinking after reading your post and the only behavior problems I have had have been boys. That is wierd. I do not think it was just me either, as they have had a long history of it before they were in my class. One of my students two years ago fell in love with the Paulsen books. Enjoy your run. I am pleased with the rotation. I thought about it a lot before I posted it.
:)

Hi Judy and Wendy!

Today I am scheduled to do the Gauntlet. I love this workout and have been successful with the choreography. It is going to be cool today I think so that is good. BBL!!

RE: :::Cheetahs:::Too early to be creative on a Wednesd...

Good morning ladies!

As is usual I need to make this a quickie. I'll be back tonight to catch up.

I was flipping through our "In Demand" channels and came across a bunch of Tae Bo workouts. I previewed Tae Bo Extreme last night and though that it looked tough enough to get a solid 40 min KB workout. Well, while it *looked* tough it was far from and turned out to be a nice "warm up" so I added on 4DS KB cardio. Now those two combined made for a nice, fun sweatfest. But, I still had gas left in the tank so I plugged Imax 3 Step Combos only onto that and had me a great ol' workout this morning }( :7.

Gloria - Thanks soooo much for the recipe. Will definitely be making the yummus next week! ETA: Have fun with Gauntlet...love that workout!!!!

Lorie - I hope you have a fabulous time!

Cathy - Hope you have a good run today! It is a relief that the humidity finally broke...blech!

Wendy - Sorry you woke up with my alarm clock, LOL ;)! Hope you have a yummy dinner waiting for ya tonight!

Judy - OMG, I can't even imagine the chaos that two chippies would create! What you describe sounds like it could be made into a movie, ala "Meet The Parents". I hope your DD's photos come out beautiful despite the furry interruption.

Really gotta run here. Have a great day everyone and I'll see ya tonight!

RE: :::Cheetahs:::Too early to be creative on a Wednesd...

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...sometimes not enough RAM can cause freezing but you are covered! Glad you get a humidity break. Enjoy your run, CST and abs.

Wendy...so you were up early this morning! Enjoy your upper body workout.

Lorie...I usually over pack too. I hope you have an awesome 4th and weekend with your family!

Judy...LOL about the chipmunk story!! Have a great family reunion.

Gloria...it can be tough to figure out if you should workout when you have pain. For me it just depends on where and how severe...:)..Funny too, as DH didn't even noticed a thing about his clothes I stuffed into the closet when he was home last night...:D...sometimes I think he'd miss a bomb being dropped on his head!! Good job with the fridge! Looks like a good rotation. Have fun with the Gauntlet.

One of the fires took off a bit last night, so it might make for a smokier run than I wanted. But the "Governator" was back yesterday and is getting us the National Guard to help with the fire. They will work with CDF and then there will be more ground crew.

I am doing Total BodyX+ and a 3-4 mile run.

Have a great day...:)

RE: :::Cheetahs:::Too early to be creative on a Wednesd...

super fast w/o report. nrolw and iTread #13 sprints with a 20 minute add-on to make it to 5.3 miles. my first run in a looooong time and it felt GREAT!

okay, kishies to you all. i will try to check in while i am gone.

RE: :::Cheetahs:::Too early to be creative on a Wednesd...

Back from my run -- the standard 3. Felt solid. I just love, love, LOVE http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/love/th_sweetheart.gif being able to run after 7 am! This is PERFECT summer weather in my book.

Judy ~ oh my gosh, your chipmunk adventures were hysterical. Love DS's response to throw it out the door on a pillow. Wouldn't that be a riot if an airborne chipmunk makes one of the senior shots?...Guess your DB wants everything perfect?...Glad your back is better.

Wendy ~ 'K. Just checkin'. ;)

Gloria ~ yes, the boys are definitely more "active."...I have really been focusing on trying to build a more boy-friendly classroom library. Any other recommendations? I love professional sharing! :)...Enjoy the Gauntlet. That's one I don't have. I think the title scares me! *lol*

Wendi, our queen of killer mish-moshes ~ how'd it go at the college? Did you get lots of info?...I'm with you in lovin' the weather. Must make your job so much more pleasant, I'll bet!

Carole ~ between you and Judy, I'm bustin' a gut here. Love your comical descriptions of DH. :) Sorry about the fire. I'm glad the ground crews are getting beefed up. Hope your run isn't too smoky.

WT ~ yay for your return to the 'mill!

OK, I have to work CST and abs but am thinking I may spread that out over the day.

RE: :::Cheetahs:::Too early to be creative on a Wednesd...

Cathy: They have turned our road into a dirt road, so I am really looking forward to running on it!! :) Glad you had a good run this morning! Here is a list of books my boys have enjoyed in the past:

The Loner by Ester Weir - oldie, but a goodie.
Diary of a Wimpie Kid - can't remember the author
Anything by Andrew Clements - the protagonist is usually a boy
Knots on my Yo- Yo String - Jerry Spinelli
A Dog's Life - Ann M. Martin
A Long Way from Chicago - Richard Peck
Michigan Chillers/American Chillers - Johnathon Rand. Series. He is actually originally from Grayling. These are probably mostly 5th grade level, but the higher level kids I have had LOVED them and re-read them frequently.
Avalanche - Arthur Roth
Informational text about the planet, animals, etc.
You probably already know about a lot of these, but wanted to share.

I will check in with everyone later!

:)

RE: :::Cheetahs:::Too early to be creative on a Wednesd...

Gloria ~ thanks for that list. I am looking for books to reach that segment of the population who need high-interest material but aren't ready for some of the more mature HS content. There seems to be a gap there. The thing is, by the time the kids reach 8th grade, they (or their classes) have already read many of the Spinelli, Paulsen, and Creech titles. RF is hard to sell to them. My boys this year seemed to be especially into the Cirque du Freak (vampire) and Stormbreaker series. Sci-fi and nonfiction were big. I'd like to get some more current biographies for my shelves. They kept checking out athlete biographies (from our school library) that looked like they had been published in the 70s. *lol* ...That is cool to have a dirt road to run on. That would be such a welcome break from the concrete/asphalt!

I did a GS CT & S mishmosh and will save abs for later.

RE: :::Cheetahs:::Too early to be creative on a Wednesd...

Good morning Cheetahs!

Wendy - Gross on your dog yesterday! x( Bet that made you get out of the bathroom quick. It would really be nice if P90X was chaptered. I made DBF a rotation using the workouts and told him to choose what exercises he wanted to do from each DVD. Chaptering would make his life easier. Sorry you couldn't sleep. Hope you sneaked that nap in.

Cathy - Thought paying myself for the miles would be a good way to have some $$$ for future workouts. Can't spend all willy nilly like I use to but, it's all good. Hope you get the computer issue resolved soon. Strange temps for June! Glad the humidity was down for your run.

Carole - Glad to hear the Bomber is helping. Thanks for your insight on the anti-virus. Way to tidy up behind DH! :) Love the Governator! LOL!! How was the run today?

Gloria - Since I don't drink coffee in the mornings, it takes me about 15 minutes to get it in gear for my workouts. I just can't hop out of bed and bam I'm ready to work out. LOL! I do have iTread 15/60 but think I've only done it once. Can't remember much about it but sure I enjoyed it. I don't do the 60 minute ones too often. You should still have all of your downloads.

Lorie - Have an absolutely fabulous time on your trip! Be safe!

Judy - Wow on the chipmunks! So, how are they getting in? Glad they didn't run DD pics.

Wendi - So, Taebo Extreme wasn't extreme enough for you, huh? LOL! Glad you found something to add on to make you sweat.

Shelly - Hope you report soon with good news about the house.

I did GSL 49 minute timesaver and about 10 minutes of CM#1.

Happy Hump Day!! One more day until the weekend! Yippee!!

Jackie

RE: :::Cheetahs:::Too early to be creative on a Wednesd...

Quick check in ladies, sorry. I'm feeling a bit better, so that's good. I'm still very tired. I have not been restricting my calories (although I'm not as hungry as usual, so that's good) but I have been making sure that everything I eat is clean, so my weight has been staying steady. I'm just really concerned about the cardio factor - I've gone from 6 cardio days a week (4 fairly heavy) to almost none. Usually I would shrug off my lack of preparedness, but now I'm worried. I do plan to take a bike ride tomorrow. We'll see how that goes.

I'm actually at work today - but I'll leave here around 2 to finish up at home. I do feel very fortunate to have that kind of flexibility.

Sorry this is so about me. I promise to come back later with personals. I did just want to say hi to everyone.

RE: :::Cheetahs:::Too early to be creative on a Wednesd...

Jackie ~ I am so impressed that it only takes you 15 minutes at that hour to get into "workout mode." That's fantastic! So far, no more computer issues, so hopefully it is fixed.

Christine ~ no worries about personals. We just want you to check in and let us know how you're doing. Rest, take care of yourself, and try not to spaz (as we are wont to do) about the reduced cardio. When you're feeling 100% again, you will be back those beastly workouts of yours!

Shelly ~ Saw some news reports about the tensions overseas and have been thinking of you, your sis, and BIL. Hoping everything's OK and you're just busy sorting out good house news!

RE: :::Cheetahs:::Too early to be creative on a Wednesd...

Good Afternoon Cheetahs.

Just finished my work out.

I opted to punish the upper body with the bells today. Nothing else was grabbing me. I just didn't feel like fiddling with all kinds of equipment or numerous weight switches today. I used my 15 pound DB's in some spots where there was no option for using a single bell. It worked out pretty well I think and I did every stinkin' upper body exercise on the KBG dvd that I could find! LOL It made for multiple sets of 12 exercises plus a stretch. It took me 45-50 minutes and I feel thoroughly worked out!}(

I am stopping at Target on my way to my mom's tonight to pick up another 15# bell and possibly the single 20 pounder that I want as well! :7

Gotta grab a shower now. I hope to have time for personals before I head out, but if not, I'll catch up later tonight!

:* :* :*

RE: :::Cheetahs:::Too early to be creative on a Wednesd...

Cathy: I am excited about the dirt road. My boys also like the supernatural stuff, like dragons and things. They do love the sports biographies. I have a few every year who are counting on getting drafted!! Great workout today! :)

Jackie: Glad you only have one more work day this week!! :) I'd say working out 15 min. after waking up is still pretty dang good! :) Will you be with DBF for the holiday weekend?

Christine: Hang in there girl. :) Check in when you are ready. I think you will be fine for the race. You are a strong lady!

Wendy: Nice kettleball workout! Have fun at Target (how you could not, I don't know :) ) What's for dinner tonight?

Gauntlet is done. It took a lot of gumption to get that in, but I did. It's a killer!!! I did not get my ipod yet. I tracked it and it left Wisconsin last night so maybe there is hope tomorrow. If not, then I will have it on Saturday. I will be busy playing with it whenever it gets here. Yay! It is storming here today. Supposed to be nice and cool tomorrow too, well 70. Perfect for a run in the morning on my new dirt road. Take care everyone! :)

RE: :::Cheetahs:::Too early to be creative on a Wednesd...

I was looking up races on runmichigan.com and I found a trail race in mid October in Traverse City, only about an hour from me. They have a 10K and a 25K. It is beautiful over there. I will see how I do with the 10 miler in Grand Rapids in September. That is a road race in a big city. I am already scared to drive in all that traffic! :) I am not much of a city girl!

There is a downfall to the new dirt road, my car is FILTHY from driving on it. Gotta take the good with the bad I guess. I am not a clean freak, so I will be ok. Have a great night ladies!!!! :)

RE: :::Cheetahs:::Too early to be creative on a Wednesd...

Evening ladies!

I've got a couple of minutes to chat before I have to get to laundry and then "So You Think You Can Dance". Hey, I heard you all snickering...it's the ONLY thing I watch on TV right now lol!

Carole - Sorry to hear that one of the fires has worsened...I hope the National Guard aid does the trick. I hope it didn't interfere with your run too much. Oh, BTW, I *always* have guacamole in the house...come on over anytime :9! You'd have to bring your own chips cuz I love to stuff it into hardboiled egg whites, ala deviled eggs, and that's my daily 2pm power snack.

Jackie - I guess after working out with Cathe everything else feels pretty darn easy lol! The funny thing is that the Tae Bo actually looked much more intense than Cathe's stuff but, oh man, does Cathe just where ya down. Ooh, nice workout today! Enjoy your long weekend...any plans?

Christine - I think you're going to surprise yourself next weekend...you're going to have a great ride! I think you are underestimating your fitness, girl! Look at it this way, you know you'll be going into that ride fresh, rested and rarin' to go. Great job keeping the eating clean lately!

Cathy - Nice mish mosh today! Did you get that ab work in? You're a better person than I...if I don't do them right then when I'm in "workout mode" I just won't do em.

Wendy - Oh, lordy, girl you hit up Target again?!?!?! You're too funny :7. Nice workout today!

Gloria - WTG on Gauntlet today!!! You've gotta love the sense of accomplishment you get when you finish that monster }(. Enjoy your cool, dirt road run tomorrow. That trail race sounds like a blast!

Shelly - Hope all is well with your DSis and BIL. I'm dying here to know if your offer was accepted :7 on that gorgeous property.

Gonna wish you all a good night and will see you bright and early in the morning. It's going to be pretty warm here tomorrow so I'll get out early for a run...not setting a distance or time limit, just gonna run for as long as I feel like it. Nightie night!
