Wow! I just found that I have a 4 day weekend! Because we did such a good job at the conference, the CEO of the company is leaving it up to the discretion of our bosses to give us Friday off - no vacation time needed. We already have Monday off. How cool is that? There are some negatives to this job, but I have to say, the perks really out weigh them. CNN also just named us one of the top 5 companies to watch. The CEO often plans parties, etc during company time with the rest of the afternoon off because we work hard and deserve play time. Gotta like it!
Carole – I’m so glad you posted how John is doing! He remains in my prayers. I cannot imagine how difficult this all is for him and his family. I’m glad you are a close family and there is a lot of outside support. Good news about the counseling. Jimmy ate this afternoon for the first time, so we’re progressing. I was happy to see him eat. YEAH! On the DOMS! How was the workout?
Lorie – I know what you mean about your babies being your kids! They bring so much to our lives. Great job on iTread Circus and getting in the 5 miles.
Jackie – I swear, I get sore when I least expect it and do not when I do. It’s weird! Good job on getting the 4.5 miles in when you were sore!
Shelly – We missed you yesterday! Glad you could join us today. I am SOOO sorry for you about the house – that must have been heart breaking!! Maybe the contract will fall through.
Also sorry about all the stress. Are you planning on getting back into nursing in PA? I could ask my aunt who nursed in PA which hospitals you should try. I have been watching Jimmy closely, but because he hasn’t eaten anything he hasn’t eliminated anything, although DH said he did yesterday. I would like to know so I can make sure there is nothing more of it around that he can reach! Good idea on the marathon training, even though it’s too bad.
Kristi – as you start running outside more, Chelsea can, too – she should be acclimated just like you are, but I’m sure you know that. How is she doing otherwise? Has she settled into the dog you knew she would be? Glad your roads cleared up! How old is Sadie? Do she try to avoid being touched on her back end? Have the vet check for hip dysplasia – that could be the cause. She may still walk fine, but it may hurt to jump up. I hope she’s fine, though.
Dallas – I was wondering about that PH abs on the BOSU – when Cathe put her legs up!
Our Cathy must be wonder woman! Prayers for your DD’s say return! I would be a wreck as well! Fortunately Chicagoans know how to drive in the white stuff. I agree with Slo Mo – by the third set I’m about ready to climb the walls! 2 lets me enjoy them well and really get into the proper technique. Hope your DS’s hand is okay! Too funny about your youngest DS! I’m no help with the protein powder – I use Trader Joe’s soy when I use it – mainly I prefer real food to shakes.
Wendy – I’m glad you’re feeling better! YAY! Workouts do really make a difference, don’t they? Don’t you wonder how the people who don’t exercise function through their days? I had trouble with my half training and P90X – but that was my first half. You’re pretty tough – if you think you can do it – go for it.
Off to pretend to work so I deserve my day off. :+
