Morning, ladies! http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/th_sunshine.gif

I missed yesterday's workout - had to make grades my top priority - so today I have to make up for it and put a hurtin' on myself. }( HSC is on the rotation, so I think I'll stick with that and make up what I missed on the weekend.

Lori :: Imax 3 + B&G? Yowzas! Are you walking today?

Wendy :: can't wait to hear how your bosu w/out is today...I bought the regular one.

I think that catches me up on personals, so a warm & sunny hello to everyone else & have a GREAT day!

Hello ladies,

my workout today was supposed to be a run outside, however it is raining and is supposed to rain all day. sooooooo, i am going to give amy b's hi/lo dome workout a try and also 4DS B&B!

cathy- i just love HSC has a little bit of everything and just enough to make you feel it}( . congrats on your new bosu. i bought one a few months ago. I've tried a few exercises on it and all i can say is WOW, it really adds a new dimension to your workout.

have a great day to all!!:D

i am lying in bed trying to get the motivation to get up. it's a bit chilly and rainy and i'd much rather stay in bed. i am planning on doing iTread #9/60 and try to bang out 10 miles because it's exactly a week before my race and i feel like i should do one more long run. i would have rather done it outside, but it's rainy and dark. :(

i am determined to make today a better day.

Good Morning Girls:)

Well, for a change its not raining here:) Prehaps you gals have my rain:) and thats just fine with me.
I to am planning a run outside today. Probably within the next couple of hours. Im hoping it will warm up a little for DS's sake, although he never seems to mind cause he always falls asleep.
I don't know why but I wasn't sleepy last night at all. I got in bed and didn't get to sleep until 12 ish or so. Thats so weird after night shifts! Im regretting it today though. I am working days all weekend so it may be early rises to get a workout in before work....which means early to bed!
We also have our apt today to get a our family pics taken. No one as a clue what they are wearing and no one needs anything new so we are gonna have to suffer it out and wear something we have worn a million x's before:)

Cathy** Yes, I am walking today:) Im not even sore yet but I think it may set in later. I did the walking lunges right after interval 10 and I tell ya my thighs were burning. Probably would have been wise to stretch between workouts. I did fold a little bit of clothes while she was doing things I don't like to do...:p but then I did the rest and enjoyed the stretch. I really have to start stretching more, makes a world of difference. The last time I had a massage the girl told me that my calves were full of knots!

Sunny** Enjoy your workout today, I think your bic's will be screaming after your done! Still can't wait for my workouts! Hoping to get them today or tomorrow and if I don't get to try them, I can atleast preview them at work:) I don't own bosu but it does look like a good investment!

Lorie** How are things these days? Doesn't sound much better:eek: Or are you just mad cause its cold and dark outside.LOL Did you decide on your vegas trip? Prehaps thats another thing thats bringing you down? Maybe you should just go, even though your not getting married it is something for you to look forward to!

O.k girlies...I will probably check in again before DH goes to work with his laptop...and then i will be back again tonight!

Lori:)

Good morning Cheetah babes!!!

Count me in as another "it's raining and it's hard to get going" Cheetah here lol. Although, I *LOVE* rain as it means I get a day off from work...YIPPEE!!! It was nice to sleep in this morning and I'll have time (and the energy) to tackle my all-time fave circuit HSC, and no stinking shorter premix either :p. I'm even going to attempt the core work for the first time since my injury. Can you believe that that is *still* talking to me?! My DOMS are so much better this morning between my 6 miler yesterday, which really helped to loosen things up, and the incredible massage my SO gave me last night.

Shelly - I hope your last night during your stretch is going well. How's the ankle? I can't believe it's only 17 days to go to LV!

Kristi - I think that's one of the reasons I stopped watching all of those shows...Idol, DWTS, etc. I got too bored with all the fluffy filler! Great run!

Christine - I'm with you...when the diet is not up to snuff I feel it. I have so much more energy when I eat well. You'd think that I'd learn no to eat $#!t *rolls eyes*. This particular client just isn't very horse savvy and is very new to the "game". She got *very* lucky and found a wonderful horse for the amount of money they spent...she has no idea how lucky! It sounds like you had a great workout yesterday! Enjoy all of your new dvds...it's like an early Christmas :p.

Carole - Now I want an EXT...but I KNOW that isn't in the budget right now :-(. I hope you had a great workout!

Judy - Ooh, running with bootie DOMS from B&G...WTG! That workout always gets me good! It sounds like you got a good start on your shopping. The ski areas around here really suffered last year with no snow so I can understand your reservations about the lift ticket.

Jackie - WELCOME HOME! I'm sorry your vacay didn't quite meet your expectations. I hope you came home rested and rejuvenated though. You've had a very busy six weeks or so!

Susan - Do you mind me asking how your kids get 10 days off now? Do they go to school all year? Taht does sound like a great little workout!

Wendy - I'm so sorry about your sleep troubles! I hope you got some decent shut eye last night. What a great workout you put together yesterday...it sounds like you're enjoying your iron free phase. I wish I could add a BOSU to my list, however my list getting very *long*! You should have seen the look on my SO's face when I mentioned something about 20 and 30 lb DB's. It was like "what on earth do you need *those* for?!"

Cathy - We're on the same wavelength today...gotta love HSC!!! I'm sorry you had to buckle down and get work done instead of your workout but I know you'll make up for it today! I hope you enjoy your Bosu.

Lori -   Imax 3 followed by B&G...INSANE!!! Even if you did cheat a little with laundry breaks! I don't think I could deal with your work schedule...it sounds brutal switching back and forth from days and nights. It's kind of sad to say that there is no attachment anymore. I'm so happy to see them go because that means I can pay my bills. I am fond of the pony I just leased out because she was cool to be around on the ground. I swear she was a dog in a past life!!! The kid that has her absolutely *LOVES* her.

Sunny - Enjoy frying those Bi's today!

Lorie - Today will be a better day!!! Go enjoy your run...however long you make it!

Off to tackle HSC (YAY!) and then head out to the farm to do just a couple of necessities. My SO is taking today off from work today, too, so we can spend the entire day together...doesn't happen very often ;(. Hasta la vista, babes!

Morning Folks. :)

I found an article online that shows some exercises you can do on a bosu. I am going to do the 6 lower body exercises along with the 4 core exercises they list. I will go through each atleast once depending upon how much time I have and how much I feel it. }( There are also 3 warm up exercises listed which I will use. After that it's off to the gym for a run. :)

I'll do personals later on once more people check-in.

BBL!:)

Good morning Cheetah pals! This has to be short. Sorry.

I have some nice DOMS in my legs today from doing PLB on my own yesterday. YEAH! However, I need to go heavier in weight. Yesterday I used a pair of 22.5 lb dumbbells for my highest weight when doing squats and calf raises but it wasn't enough. Next time I will use my 25 lbers instead. However, I don't know if that will be enough either. I don't want to buy 30 lbers because I don't feel safe using that much weight. Maybe I should see about a weighted vest. I guess I will wait and see how it goes next Monday when I do PLB on my own again.

Today will be another HIIT treadmill run. I'm going to shoot for 5 miles at a 1% incline again.

Cathy - Cameron was voted off.

Sorry this is short. I'll try to BBL.

Wendi** Enjoy your day off! Yeah, I guess when its your job you get use to letting the horsies go. Do you breed them as well? That could be a very interesting job!

Wendy** Hope you get a good workout out of your bosu! Let us know what happens!

Kristi** Sounds like you had a good workout yesterday! I really enjoy PLB and PUB! The intensity series is one of my favs!

Alright, DH is taking the computer bb tonight!

Lori :)

i have to go to a meeting in 10 minutes but i did want to report that i ran 10 miles on the treadmill in 84:07!!! i think that might be a PR for me!!! i am feeling a bit tired and would rather be at home but i have to go be brililant and full of solutions at a meeting for a kid who does not want to help himself.

i WILL be back for personals!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...I bet you could find a Black friday bargain for an EXT!! I wouldn't worry at all about taking a rest day. I would think school can be crazy during the holidays. Enjoy HSC today.

Sunny..hope you like Amy's bosu workout.

Lorie...Way to go with the 10 miler PR!!!

Lori..wow, I max3 and B&G is a killer leg workout. Family pics sound like fun. Hope you have a nice run today.

Wendi...sorry about the ribs still being a bit painful. Have fun with HSC...your SO gave you a massage?...how very nice!! I do love my EXT..I was never a TM girl so the EXT is much better for me. Enjoy the rest of your day with your SC...:)

Wendy...wow!! way to go using that purple band yesterday...Have you tried it for firewalkers yet? Yes, I really like Slo-mo, mostly for the different exercises. I do think your BF would benefit more from an EXT. Especially with knee problems. But she really should try out some TM's & EXT's to make the best choice for her. Have fun with the lower body bosu exercises and your run.

Kristi...good job upping the weights in PLB!

Christine...No, I don't think Amy has a new Bootcamp, maybe she will do that next?...:)..Yes, I like APX really well, it is a good purchase...

Judy...good job with iTread #20.

Jackie...Welcome home! Laying around the beach and pool sounds nice to me...I bet it does feel good to be home. Isn't Slo-mo lots of fun!

Amy...Hi back!

Susan..sounds like a tough DM premix. Mr Goodbars were always my Mom's favorites! I am with you though, always a snickers lover...:)

Our new Kohl's had their Grand Opening yesterday...I drove in the parking lot and then right out...way too many people for my comfort level!!

Today will be LIS cardio, 30-40 mins on my EXT, 4DS Legs and abs from B&G.

Have a great day...:)

Hi again.

Well my bosu plan didn't work out very well. I think I just need to bite the bullet and buy a work out dvd for it. I quit using the bosu after the first 10 minutes and ended up doing my own lower body work out consisting of the following:

100 walking lunges (25 regular + 25 pulsing x 2 sets)
50 inner thigh lifts per leg using purple band
20 firewalkers using purple band
50 body weight squats
20 forward pulsing alternating lunges
20 rear alternating lunges
lunge/squat combo 5x per side
75 inner thigh lifts per leg w/o band

I added on 1/2 of 4DSKB core work at the end along with that stretch. It was a pretty good work out. Not what I had originally intended but I'm learning to roll a bit easier these days....:)

I'll be back after the gym for personals.

Ciao Bellas! :*

I'm back from the gym.

I did 45 minutes of Itread 14/60 for a 4.37 mile run.

I'm beat.

Yoga is on tap for tomorrow for sure. ;)

Off to grab some grub but I'll be back for personals soon enough!

It's raining here too, btw. UGH! x(

Hi All –

No workout for me today. Felt good to sleep in. Figured I’ve been pushing it and not really getting anywhere, so I’ll back off and enjoy a day of rest.

Cathy – I can’t wait for HSC to show up on my doorstep! I do want a BOSU, and I’ve taken classes at the gym with them – they are great for core stabilization, etc., but I haven’t seen any videos other than Amy’s Hi/Lo Dome that uses it, and she only uses it for about 10 minutes. Are there any good ones out there?

Sunny – sorry your run was ruined by the rain. Let me know how you like Amy’s Hi/Lo Dome workout. Have fun with your BOSU.

Lorie – lying bed is the chilly rain sounds heavenly. Just give me a cup of cocoa and a good book and I’m set for the day! :p Great job on running 10 miles on the treadmill! I can’t think of much that would be more tedious. I’m impressed!

Lori – Go outside and enjoy your run! I don’t know how you work swing shift. My body clock is so hard wired that it takes me a week to recover from a time change! I’m impressed. Good luck on your family Photo. I don’t think ours will be color coordinated this year either. We’ll see. :p

Wendi – Oohh, you lucky dog you. SO gave you a massage? He sounds like a keeper to me! :+ Another one doing HSC – I guess I’m going to be very happy I ordered it! Glad your DOMS are better! And yes, knowing that I have more energy and am happier when I eat well, wouldn’t you assume that I would eat well all the time? Heck no! I think it’s typical though. I’m not a religious person, but I do empathize with Romans 7:15, 19 (even though he is not referring to food…)- I cannot understand my own behavior. I fail to carry out the things I want to do, and I find myself doing the very things I hate.… Instead of doing the good things I want to do, I carry out the sinful things I do not want.

Wendy - The BOSU can be very challenging at first. Just stand on it and start walking (marching in place) on it, then slowly increase to a jog in place. A lot of it is getting your balance.Does your gym offer a BOSU class? Mine did. It was basically a circuit workout with running and hopping on the BOSU, then push ups (take a barbell bar or broom handle and try to balance that on the BOSU and hold on to it to do pushups – great exercise), leg lifts (try standing on the thing and do knee lifts while holding weights), lunges on to and off of, the BOSU. And core work – try those sit ups in 4DS SCC where she does the in out in pause out in out – they are double but trying to find your balance is a challenge! I was thinking of trying to sub a high step workout with the BOSU. Hmm, there’s an idea for you to do – offer to teach a BOSU class! That would be fun!

Kristi – I love PLB! Great workout! I have a pair of adjustable dumbbells (the look like a mini barbell actually). I am pretty much unlimited in dumbbells. They’ve saved me a lot of money!

Carole – Thanks for confirming my buying impulses! I’m so excited to have gotten those. I can’t wait ‘til they arrive. I know what you mean about too many people. I’m not a big crowd fan either. Sounds like a good workout you have on tap. Enjoy!

Have a good day everyone!

Hi

Wendy- I was hoping to read that you fell in love with the BOSU . OK, maybe it will happen.

Lorie- your time for10 miles is amazing! I can't beat 100 minutes for 10 miles. But I am willing to run it slow and stay uninjured.

Lori- I an understand B&G after Imax3. Because, on the day I received B&G, I had already done a 6 mile run. But I did all of B&G anyway.

Wendi- are you down state? I am in western NY. I do hope we get an early good snowy winter AND an early spring.

Kristi- go for it on that TM today!
Cathy- have you done any more EXT research?
Carole- I never find anything at Kohls anyway. I would have passed it by also.
Shelly- Whats up?

This morning was GS back, pilates/yoga fusion class followed by a complimentary ball class from the instructor. It had some good cardio (low impact) and legs (hi reps of plies squats, lunges and a round house kicks while holding the SB) I did not get a chance to do biceps as planned , but I was more concerned about getting in a good back session. The class also had some good back moves in it.

We are getting pelted with hail right now!

Good Afternoon Ladies!

I am about to order the silver dyna-band as well as a BOSU dvd from fwonline. I must be a glutton for punishment!}(

I just wrote an email to hammer nutrition. I bought the 6 pack sampler of their recovery formula and one of the pkgs was faulty. It leaked out all over my kitchen floor when I went to use it after my run today! What a mess...as well as a waste of product!x( I am liking the product so far though. I might just buy the full size container of it soon.

I need a cat nap in a big way...I think that's where I'm headed. I'll catch up with personals a bit later.

Have a great afternoon! :)

Hi Cheetahs!

I'm so sorry I don't have time for personals. I'm still in catch up mode. I hope it won't be long now. I got through all of my mail at home last night. I have to work on the emails tonight.

I did get in an easy 4 mile run this morning. I finally broke out the new Cathes. Did the Back and Biceps premix from HIS/LIS. It's 25 minutes and nice when you're short on time. Guess I'll get into the others next week.

They started on my house while I was gone. So, I have a lot to keep me busy right now with decisions, decisions, decisions.

Hope everyone had a swell day.

Jackie

I got a response back from hammer nutrition within 10 minutes of sending the email!!! Talk about great customer service! I will be getting a couple free packets of Recoverite to make up for what I lost due to the leakage problem plus I get free shipping all with my next order. I'm happy since I wanted to order more of the recovery drink very soon anyway! :)

Okay, I have a question....I always used protein shakes as my "recovery drink". Now that I am using an actual recovery drink which is different from a protein shake, where do the shakes fit into my diet or should I just nixx them altogether??? I'd really like to find a spot for them as they are so yummy!:9 Perhaps I can use them when I get a craving for sweets want to reach for junk! Any thoughts?

Off to get ready now...I'm training BF tonight.

Hope to pop back in later though. :)
