::::: CHEETAHS ::::: Thurs., 2/8

Good job, Wendy! I'm glad that Joey is back to regular napping. Allison is 3 1/2 but she still sleeps a good 2 1/2 - 3 hrs in the afternoon. She needs her sleep!! Good luck getting in all of your workouts!

Thanks, Kristi! Yep, I've lost over 75 lbs now. It's been almost 3 yrs since I started really losing, I had one of those moments on my 2nd dd's 3rd bday (she'll be 6 next month) where I realized how out of control I was with my eating. Some days I forget how far I've come from those tight size 16 jeans!!! Thanks for looking!

OK, I decided to do Cardio Kicks. I had only done it once before (thanks to Elaine who mailed it to me!! ;-) ) & it sounded like fun. It was a good, fun workout. Now I need to shower!

Have a great night! Survivor will be on here & we'll all be snuggled up in the warm downstairs! :)

Good afternoon ladies!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAYLE!!! Best wishes and many, many happy returns!

Almost decided to coast through my afternoon workout, but I re-read my goals (they are good for something!) and decided to get my butt in gear. Did iClimb 7 40 minutes on the elliptical. Love, love, love the workout on this one – HATE the music – it’s all rap. I’m too old for rap. :+ By the way the :+ is no longer me. I’m off the meds and my nose is not running. I think the yoga helped. Although I’ve heard this thing hangs on, so we’ll see. DH is at home with the dryer repairman!! YEAH!! Clean and DRY clothes! How exciting! It will no longer look like a homeless camp at my house.

Carole – I guess I’ll play around. I think I’m going to do an opposite of P90X rotation – 3 weeks of circuits and cardio and 1 week of heavy weights to keep what I have. And besides – I enjoy heavy weights. I love when DH cooks – but his cooking is usually not very healthy. :p It was vegan though!

Jess – sorry about the TV! That sucks! You can get a wonderful flatscreen now for that kind of money! You should be proud of your little smart girl!! That’s wonderful! Good job, Mom! And feel free to brag to us any time.

Gayle – I love cardio and I love lifting, so it’s all a wash for me. But obviously what I’ve been doing isn’t working, so maybe a shake up is a good idea. I do like to continue with lower body work, though – as I think it’s so important for injury prevention as well as giving me a good base strength for all of my cardio! I’m another cookbook lover. I’ve even been known to spend all day browsing recipes on line. I think I just love food!

Barb – good job on time management to fit in all of your workouts! Wow!! Nice when DH feels guilty enough to cook me dinner. He even told me that he cooked because I was mad at him the night before for going out with his buddies when I was sick and he felt bad. Good for him (for feeling bad :p)

Linda – I’ll bet you don’t get overtime either do you? That’s a long work day. I’m impressed you can get your workout in, too!

Judy – that’s some workout! WOW!!

Jess – I’m with you on the calves – I just have them. I even skip the calf raises in both Cathe and P90X figuring the LAST thing I need is bigger calves. But I do like the other lower body workouts. And I love your photos! Thanks for sharing. Your dad and DH do great work!

Susan – enjoy your rest day! You’ll need to workout tomorrow to work off that Indian food. The worst is that it’s a buffet (all Indian lunches are as far as I can tell) so there’s no limit to what we can eat! You hold me to one trip and I’ll hold you – how’s that?!

Sunny – have fun with Legs and Back!

Wendy – so glad you were able to fit in your workout!! Good for you!

Thomasina – I’m going to start paying someone to keep up with these ladies for me!! How are you! How’s your DD? Has she settled down any? I’ve been thinking of you a lot. Glad to see you posting.

*slinks into thread w/head hanging* Okay okay...that was a REALLY LARGE cup of coffee I had before!:p :7 :p :7 :p :7

Kristi: By the time you are done with tmrw's chores plus the B&G lb premix you are going to be wiped out! You are one brave girl!}( ;)

Christine: Unfortunately those of you on the west coast are at a disadvantage time-wise when posting here. We easterners get up early and start posting while it's still the middle of the night for you guys! LOL Sorry! I hope you are starting to feel better. I still have a cough but I am getting better. Still more tired then usual but getting there...

Carole: I had to giggle at your comment about falling off the TM while watching Seinfeld. If I don't pay attention I could very easily go over the side or off the back! Zoning out while running indoors or out is NOT a good thing!;) Y'day when I was on the tm at the gym I had a close call. I was fiddling with my towel while running instead of paying attn and lost my balance. If I hadn't put my hand out to catch myself I would have gone down! Lesson learned!

Jess: Okay lady, what is up with NO DOMS from the leg blast premix!?!?! OMG, that is just soooo wrong! LOL :p TV's are outta control today. We have 3 old tv's in our house. They are all between 27 and 32 inches I think. DS wants a big/wide screen...he wants a 40 or 42 incher. That size isn't too bad but anything bigger is just plain silly IMO. Even what DH wants runs over $1000 though! This is why he doesn't have one!!! :)

Gayle: HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope your dinner was fantastic! Carrabbas is good food!:9 Joey is feeling better, thanks. He got a real nap today so mom got to exercise in peace. After he woke up from the nap is another story though. x( He's almost 2 years old...I think terrible 2's are officially here! Can you say TEMPER TANTRUMS!?!? EEK!!!

Susan: That is awesome news about the running and stepping! Have fun but be careful!!!!:+ So I have gotten into the "interesting" part of the PT manual but am not pretty darned confused. Alot of what I am reading is going right over my head. It's lots of scientific garb about how the body works during exercise and I am totally unfamiliar with it so to just read it really isn't doing much for me. Any suggestions??? :-( I also gotta wonder how much of this I REALLY will need to know!

Sunny: I didn't miss my work out y'day completely. I did my add-on cardio right after work but decided to move B&B/ARX to today after DS did not nap well. I was too tired to do it last night. I am still playing catch up cause of that but I'll get it all done!:)

Thomasina: Sorry I haven't really responded to you yet! I've just been very amiss with personals lately. :-( I saw your post about the half marathon. I may push that to spring 2008 instead. I'm not sure yet. I am still enjoying running but currently have lost motivation to train for a half this year. x( I'll have to see how I feel once I finish the X as that's when I had originally intended to begin training...

So I am not doing my yoga tonight. I'm just not in the mood. Tomorrow. I PROMISE!:)

wendy- I with you. I am running but dont have the motivation to train for any races. I dont know if I will do my half that I usually do in may or not.

I did run 3 miles at the ymca as well as walk 2 miles and the elliptical for 20minutes while my boys had soccer practice.

gotta go hop in the shower. talk with everyone later!

Laura, Nice work out today!

I don't know what happened to me! I was so gung-ho to train for a half before the X but now that I've gotten a taste of what it's like to train heavy with weights and go "light" on cardio, I am hooked! That is where my lack of motivation is...in the fact that I don't want to put in the cardio time to train for the half. I'd still like to run one...I just don't want to train for it! LOL I know I'd need atleast 3 days of running per week if not more and I'm just not into it right now. *sigh* I'm like a kid though and the X is the current new "toy" of the moment. Once the rotation is over I may change my mind again so we'll see! LOL

Hi Gang:

I just got back from my step class and feelin' the pain, OK maybe not pain but a very tired body - now that's for sure! I LOVE THIS FEELING!!! }(

Busy weekend ahead. Working at the bar both Friday night and all day on Sunday :-( (makes for a very short weekend). But, I try to look on the bright side, extra cash for more workouts ;-) or workout equipment.

Eating went very well, again, today - I'm starting to impress myself  The weekend will most definitely be the challenge, though, I've got my fingers crossed that I will keep it up.

Have a great evening everyone, I sure hope I can sleep tonight - I've been having lots of trouble with that lately and am refraining from Tylenol PM as long as I can :-(

Night-Night,
Marcia.
