:::CHEETAHS:::THIRSTY THURSDAY:::

Cathlete
Good morning Cheetahs!

Cathy: Hoping you got some sleep last night. :)

Well, I wasn't awake for too much longer after my last post. That's good. I will probably run this morning. I will be getting HSC today, so I will preview and probably do that tomorrow. Talk to everyone later!

Good Thursday Morning :) :) :)

Last night I swore it was thursday-- maybe wishful thinking huh? :)

Sunny: What kind of classes do you teach? You must be in great shape if they are fitness ones.

Wendy: Joey will be 3?? I think I can remember on the forums here when you were still pregnant with Joey. Where does the time go? And he will be in fulltime school next year? Will you work more? That's funny about the tats and your friend. DD says a few girls at school got some tats. She laughed and said "I'd spend the extra money to go to someone who can spell." LOL A male friend of her's plays for the high school b-ball team. He got a huge tat on his back-- has a b-ball on it/wings. After it was completed he said he hated it. *shaking head*

Dallas: Thanks for the words about DS. I am proud. He is so smart it kills me. He is humble about it and doesn't like allot of to-do about it. he won two awards and a surprise was he received two checks for each award. He is interning for a utility company this summer and can't wait for that to start. He also works at a grocery store. He holds onto that job as that his union awards him every year with a scholarship and it increases each year. How old is your child that plays soccer? We live and breath soccer in our house :) That's horrible about the pager system but I also can see that happening. DH use to have Saturday morning open soccer thing for girls in 4th-6th grade. Two hours--no fee and everyone was welcome. His first day he had some kids picked up 45 minutes after it was over with and of course he didn't leave the girls behind. He had to wait. Next time he informed all parents he wanted to speak to them and told them-- PICK UP TIME IS 11 !!!!

Cathy: I hope you are sleeping or resting :) I liked how you set up your workout for the rest of the week and made sure to include Happy hour. I think I would have fun meeting you :) Hope sleep and rest comes soon for you.

Today is a 4miler outside if I can beat rain drops. I also need to do my biceps and abs to some dvd.

I think I'll tackle the family/workout room today. That will be a pain as that I have a ton of things (sports related) on the walls. It will all need to be dusted--grr! Oh well I'll feel good when it is done :) That will leave me with DD's room & downstairs bath. I don't have to touch my room for a full cleaning as that we are ripping the carpet up and putting wood down :) Our upstairs bath needs a paint job so I can wait on that. I would love to use our stimulus check for a new jet tub but we have plans for that already. :)

I so need a refill. I'll be back for more personals.

Morning Gloria :)

Good Morning Girls.

I was last to post last night so I don't have a back-log of personals to do this morning. YAY! ;)

Kath: Yeah, I was already pregnant when I first started doing Cathe's work outs and posting on the forums. I remember posting that I was in labor and going to the hospital. All of the girls INSISTED I let them know if I could. It was nice to have so many "friends" awaiting my exciting news. :) I am lucky. I have 3 tats and don't regret any of them. The first one is the only one I ventured into quickly and that was cause if I didn't do it basically on the spot, I would have chickened out! LOL The others took quite some time to go from an idea in my head to a tattoo on my body. :)
Good luck dusting all of your stuff in your work out area today. I hate dusting! LOL

Gloria: Great run this morning! Hope you have a good day at school!
:)

So today's work out will be BBC arms and abs and perhaps butt and legs too if I have the time and energy to bang it out. }( Other then that I have errands to run for the party this morning. DH worked until midnight from 7am the last 2 days. He is at work now but will be getting out at 9:30 this morning so he'll no doubt be in my way today. ;)

Off to get more coffee!
BBIAB!

I need to get off my arse and get moving. I need to go food shopping. I need to clean the house. I need to MOTIVATE and I just can't do it! HELP ME! }(

Good Morning All!

Today is a rest day, so I got to sleep in an hour. :+ I enjoyed that! I’m sore today, especially the legs. It’s a perfect rest day for me. :p

Cathy – thanks! Not quite a mover and shaker. I just do my job. Fortunately, my boss appreciates it. Not sure about a reward yet. I’ll see how much my check goes up. :p Chicago is very pretty and the marathon should be gorgeous as it runs along the lake. I love that area. You’ll have fun.

Gloria – good. I’m glad you’re charging. I think so many people under value themselves. It does feel good to be rewarded for my efforts. :p Yes, Cathe is not good for the budget. At all. :+ Gauntlet is tough. And yes it’s BootCamp times 2. I first heard about doing that from the August 2005 BootCamp rotation. It’s tough but doable.

Wendy – Your legs might still be a little off from the half. I wouldn’t get too worked up about the treadmill yet. Give it another shot or two. It’ll come back.

Thomasina – When in June is the Nike’s Women Festival 5k? I’m pretty booked in June, but ya never know.

Kath – I know the feeling – I woke up wishing it were Friday too! Have “fun” cleaning the family/workout room. I would like a jet tub, too but our upstairs bathroom would need to be completely remodeled.

Cathy – hope you got the sleep you need!

Hope Shelly's move is going well!

Well, I’d better get going. Have a great day all!

Hi Christine.

I hope the TM thing improves soon. It's really bothering me. :-(
Enjoy your rest day and I hope your increase is big enough for you to buy yourself a reward!}(

Off to the foodstore with me!

BBL!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...hope you got in a good night's sleep. I think I read that idea on hill repeats in Runner's World.

Gloria...I had never done anything like posting on message boards and meeting people until Cathe and this site either. You really can make some special friendships and after talking here and getting to know people better, it makes actually meeting them very easy. If that makes sense...:)...Amy's kickboxing can be a bit hard to learn...but seriously if you keep at it you will get it, try doing maybe 1 or 2 combo's at a time. So you teach special needs children? I bet you will love HSC!!! Good job with the 7 miler.

Kath...another cleaning day for you!! we pulled up some carpet and linoleum last year to put down some laminate...I love it!!

Wendy...about the rant...you worked your legs hard last sunday, and it will take some time for them to recover, I would not worry at all about any TM runs not being great this week, that is quite common...How fun you get to run with Shelly soon! I guess I will be meeting Posh in Sac for the 5K we are training for...:) Can't believe Joey is already 3!! Hope the party is a fun one...:)

Christine...well, I do know circuits are good for dropping weight. At least you know what is going on with your body and how to remedy the situation..Enjoy a nice rest day....The Nike 5K is June 8th...http://wff.fleetfeetsacramento.com/

Dallas...I think you can train great not running consecutive days. Gives the body a bit if a rest from high impact. WOW...can't believe that pager story...why do some people like to take advantage so much?

Posh...COOL!!! We will have to meet up in Sac. LMAO as I have no speed! I am trying to train so I can get under a 10 min pace!!! I will have to PM you my cell # closer to the race...:)

Today will be squats, calf work, abs and a 4 mile interval run....

Have a great day....:)

I'm back to report my 4miles. A windy run at that. And I so need to reload all my music on my player. I know EVERY song LOL. Grr hate that. Can make for a LONGGGGGGG run. I also did SUPER sets for biceps and worked my abs and did some stretching. Ive decided to start workout room while I'm all sweaty and gross. I've done so much cleaning I ran out of paper towels--HA! And I can run out for that after I wash down the walls. And I'll go gross and sweaty and cobwebby :) I'll be glad when this cleaning is done!!!!!

Wendy: let's switch chores. You finish my workout room and Ill shop for the party :7

I know I'll be back. :) :)

Quickie post...I did 4.25 miles on the treadmill. I picked up the pace because I wanted to get those abs in I didn't get to y-day and a stretch. I did my own stretch as I wanted to watch the rest of Grey's. ;-) I'm way behind on that show too. :( Oh well. I'm thankful for Tivo. Who has time for live TV!!?!? lol I then did Core Blast stopping at the Core Bench segment. Now that I felt. My first encounter with CB I had just down the first two standing segments, but was a little disappointed. Not anymore. ;-) I like that the segments are short, so you can make the workout as long as you'd like. Y-day I got the first half only of ITR. I felt great to finish it, but had no time. :(

BBL for personals! Have a great day!

BTW, did you see the link to Lorraine's webpage on the OD. I'm so happy for her! :D

hey ladies,

kath- my classes on wed: 2 bootcamps and 1 metabolic effect. all are 1/2 hr classes.

wendy- yes i am nuts, lol. truth be told i don't work out so much with the bc classes i mainly show them what to do and then yell at them to get it done, lol. speaking of tats...remember i told you last no more for me? well i have changed my mind, that's what us tattoos ladies do right? i am getting a tatto around my ankle. like a ankle bracelet and the locket will be on my foot with my boys initials. i haven't decided what kind of design the ankle bracelet will be. i am so very excited!! i love your idea also:)

carole- that is so cool you and posh are going to hook up for a race.

christine- enjoy your rest day!!

dallas- thanks again for the email!! i sent you a reply not sure if you received yet.

today's workout (and my only tweak to the afterburn program) is a fb kettlebell workout. the program calls for the same workout as day 1 but i can't totally be without my bells:7 :+ later on this evening i am going to the gym and taking a kickboxing class from my favoritest instructor. she teaches kickboxing like i teach bootcamp...oh yea baby!!

just gotta tell my fitness buddies, yesterday a lady came to my metabolic effect for the first time. afterwards she said she loved it so much that she asked for my business card. her dh is the women's basket ball coach for a major university out here and they need a new trainer. she wants to recommend me!!! how cool would that be:7 :7 . even if it doesn't pan out i am just majorly stoked that she thinks that much of my training.

Good morning Cheetahs!

Kath - I never did like going to the gym and spending my time socializing. I was there for a purpose and wanted to get it done.

Sunny - So you will get to kick butt 3 times in one day. :)I'll be waiting for the reviews on Shred. Congratulations on the recommendation as a trainer! You go girl!

Wendy - Time flies! Can't believe Joey will be 3 either. Hope he has a smashing party. What's the theme? We will have to change your name to Tatoo Cheetah. :) Sorry you're having problems with your runs.

Posh - Glad you enjoyed your massage. Congratulations on nabbing 1st class accomodations to Chicago.

Christine - The mortgage company secretary is trying to get my closing scheduled but it will probably be next week. Since I have a construction loan and the bank says it's ok to move, that's what I'll do. Final inspection was completed yesterday with the appraiser. Laughing at you feeling like a water baloon. LOL!! Hope the bloat doesn't last too long. Enjoy your rest day!

Dallas - Did you get that hair straightened out? Mine can't stand too much humidity either. Good job with the workouts! What's up next for you after P90X? Sorry the others ruined a good paging system. Some people will just take advantage of a good thing.

Carole - The kickbox mish mosh looks good. I thought I could try it and then I realized I didn't have ITR. But, I could always substitute something else. I like the iStength ok. It's just that I prefer to have a dvd telling me what to do instead of trying to figure out if I'm doing a move properly. It's too early in the morning for me to figure that out. I did like some of the different moves and I'm sore today. I would do it again. Did you get the carpet and yard done?

Cathy - I understand if you don't feel up to your workouts. We need that sleep. Actually, I almost took a rest day yesterday but decided to get through the workout. I'm glad I did because I slept through most of the night. I woke up once and went right back to sleep. No bathroom, no nothing. I was happy. Hope you can get some sleep.

Gloria - See my post to Carole. Think I would do iStregth more if I got use to using them. The one I did yesterday was for gym workouts. I modified to fit my needs. Hope you survive the next 2 days at school.

Today's workout was iTread #1 20 minutes and iClimb #4 20 minutes. I alternated between the 2 every 10 minutes and threw in 2 minutes of jump rope on the Bosu. Finished up with 15 minutes of an iStretch. I have DOMS all over from my iStrengh workout yesterday.

Enjoy your day!

Jackie

Sunny!!! How cool that would be if you could train the basketball players for a major University!!! Quite a nice compliment and you deserve it. All your hard work is paying off!!...:D

I had a great interval run (even in the wind!) and then came home and sneezed my head off....ugh...allergies!!

jackie- yea, on moving very soon!! i adore nick and the istrengths. i always get DOMS}( i got an email saying shred has been shipped yesterday! i can't wait as i heard a couple of the workouts are puke status...wooohooo!!

carole- thank you so much!! ugh allergiesx( me and both my boys are suffering from them. the pollen count in north carolina is extremely high. glad you got to enjoy your run.

Hi Cheetahs-

I lost my post y'day to a computer problem.

Jackie- did you do 2 minutes straight jumping rope on the BOSU??? How did you not fall off???

Carole- I am right there sneezin' and itching eyes too. In fact I like theTM this week because of the pollen.

Kath- You are one motivated cleaning machine!

Wendy- No tatoos for this lady , but I really like your marathon tatoo idea. Joey 3 already?!!! yikes! What kind of work are you interested in next fall?

Sunny-The ankle bracelet tatoo with your boys' initials as a charm is a keeper. If I tatooed anything it would be improved eyebrows. LOL I am a slave to my eyebrow pencil.

Sunny- Yesteday, I spent some time reading about TT and Afterburn y'day online. Then I read some of the NROL forum at JPFitness. ( fatl loss phases peaked my interest) So many options! I am still sticking with NROL4W. Next week I do the ASRAP workouts and then on to stage 2.

Cathy- I hope you get some rest when you need it at night!

Wendi- How is your super busy week playing out? Are you bowling tonight- or is this your week off between seasons?

Christine- Congrats on the raise!!!!!

Hi Gloria, Shelly ( if you get to read this ) Dallas &Thomassina

Yesterday was Imax2 on the BOSU ~ awesome!, today was NROL4W #15 last time for 1A I topped my squats off at 79.5# , seated row @ 67# and step up @ 22.5 (similar to leg press with no bending of landing leg upon landing) *** Ankle weights have been helpful in increasing weight by 2.5# for many exercises.

judy- you snuck in on me. i am really enjoying AB granted i just started, lol. to make matters worse he just came out with a new program yesterday that i am eyeing. it's called warpfast speed loss. it's more $$ than AB:eek: alwyn used to post on jpfitness until some idiot kept picking fights. so he and lou both stopped posting there. such a shame:(

oh BTW- forgot to mention earlier my KB workout will be newport (first time)...oh boy i am skeeeeeered}(

Jackie...we must have posted at the same time...Thanks for the iStrength review...I am probably more used to a DVD also. I am sure you could sub in another kickbox for the mish mosh. I don;t know why I like mixing it up like that...I did get the carpet and some of the yardwork done yesterday. Good workout today especially with the DOMS!!

Judy & Sunny...I would say I am glad to have allergy company but I know how awful they get. I takes meds every morning and did this morning but I still got a relapse...our pollen count must be very high...

Ok, finally a chance for some personals – got my run in today but I’m so very lacking on weights and ab work! YIKES, this is where I can get into trouble people. I need to learn some better time management or something but dang, it seems I’m always up to my ears in STUFF to do! And classes start up for me again next week (summer session). Anyway, I’m going to hire Sunny to be my trainer so she’ll MAKE me get in every last workout detail no matter what!...LOL Oh, by the way, I won the 4D’s on ebay…yay, and I’m going to get rid of the gym styles since I never use them…

Cathy – I hope you found some sleep! I usually don’t have trouble finding it, but getting it is another story! LOL. By the way, I appreciate teachers like you that give so much of your own time and $$ for the students. I get irritated that teachers are pretty much forced to do this when some programs rake in so much dough. My son is 150% into the Football program at high school so don’t get me wrong, we need athletic programs to keep kids like my son on track, but come on, I know I’ve given big bucks to them and I’ve worked the dang snack shack a time or two on Friday nights and yowza they really make a killin’. Why can’t some of those type of proceeds help with classroom extras or scholarships as well? Anyway, sorry for the rant; I just wanted to thank you for being a fab teach…

Gloria – GREAT Run! I sure need some cheetah speed! LOL

Kath – Congratulations to your DS – sounds like a great kid! Um, can you come to my house and clean??

Wendy lou – Happy Birthday to the big boy!! Yay! 3 years old – wow, next thing you’ll know he’ll be running with his mama…lol. Also, quit beating yourself about the dreadmill times. Sheesh, it hasn’t even been a week since you burned it up in the half marathon; give your legs a chance. Sometimes it is harder for me to use the treadmill after road running so maybe it has to do with adjusting the gait etc from outdoors to indoors…anyhoo, you still rock so don’t get too upset!

Christine – CONGRATS on the raise! chyeah, you may have to take over my Cheetah name….lol. Have you and Carole booked your hotel for Chicago and if so, where? Looks like Carole left you the 411 on the Nike 5K in Sacramento… you should come up yonder!

Carole – No, LMAO, as I’m trying to get under the 11 minute pace required for the “run” portion..! LOL. Are ya’ll driving down to Sac in the morning or are you staying somewhere the night before? I’m considering staying somewhere the night before so I’m already down the hill…but you have farther to go than me, that’s for sure.

Dallas – LOL – ya, I need TIVO for all the classic movies I’m missing on TCM…don’t laugh, but I LOVE the old movies – the 1940’s musicals are my favs – LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Gene Kelley, Rita Hayworth, Cyd Charisse, to name a very few, and of course my beloved Frank Sinatra…LOL. Ok, back to topic..lol..dang ADD gets me everytime! By the way, I agree with Carole that if you are running 13 miles by August, you may decide the marathon in October is doable…I know you can do it, but you have to know you can…lol…I still need to get to your TNT link but don’t worry, I’ll get there; it is totally on my to-do list…

Sunny – AWESOME! about the BBall coach’s wife scoutin’ you out! I bet they contact you! Oh, you’ll have to let us know – I’m happy for you! You sound like the trainer I had about 15 years ago – he was great and kept my azz going. Too bad you’re not closer or I’d hire you to whip me in shape!}( LOL

Jackie – OH YAY! Finally you get to move in! How exciting. Wow, jump rope on the BOSU…hmm, I’ll have to try that….

Hiya to the glamorous Judy, and Lorie, Linda, Kristi (where are you?) and Wendi….I hope Shelley’s travels out East are going well!

Ok, gotsta get it in gear and get ready for work!

Have a great day friends!

Thomasina :7

There you are Judy! - LOVE the avatar pic!! And I agree, no tatoos for this lady either, but I do like some of the ideas, especially the anklet!

Hi Cheetahs! Taking a little break.

Carole - I guess allergies must be striking all over. The last two Saturdays I ran outside, the sniffles started. Then Monday, I went to Lowe's garden center and my nose has been a little stuffy. I usually suffer with hay fever in the fall. Glad you had a good run. Hope the allergies ease up.

Sunny - Shred must be one tough workout to get a puke. :) How was newport?

Judy - Love your new avatar! Let me clarify that I was using an imaginary jump rope on the Bosu but I still stayed on it for a minute. Got off and got right back on. It did require some balance. I made sure I kept my feet spaced enough to stay on. Felt like jumping on a mini trampoline. Good job with NROLW!

Posh - When you find that secret to time management, please share. I don't have a kid or a pet to take care of and I don't seem to have enough time in my day. Congrats on winning 4DS on ebay! Bet Jump Snap would work well with the Bosu.

Better get back at it.

Jackie

Good Afternoon Cheetahs!

Food shopping is done and so is my work out. I started later then planned though so I only got in one BBC weight segment and chose Butt and Legs. I did all of the standing work and upped the weigt in each exercise except for calf raises by 5# and then did the glute kicks and 1 set of that killer power squat/jumping jack combo at the end. }(

I'm all sweated up and prime for a shower now. Need to hit it quick too as DS is likely to get up soon and DH is not home right now.

BBL though!:)
