:::CHEETAHS:::THANKGOODNESS IT"S THURSDAY!:::

RE: :::CHEETAHS:::THANKGOODNESS IT

Evening, cheetahs-- :)

Whew! :) Just finished grading for the night. Two classes of notebooks to go. I hope to get some done tomorrow and then will have to try to squeeze the rest in this weekend somehow. Don't know when. After my exam, I guess. It'll work out.

Thanks for the kind words. Please don't misinterpret my comments as moans and groans of despair. :7 I'm A-OK. A little crazy-busy, yeah, but nothing I can't handle. Tis the time of year is all. I just meant to report on what was happening (or should I rather say, NOT happening :)) on the workout front and was being reflective "out loud" in that I do want to juggle my workload better next year because that has slipped away from me some.

Shelly :: IA completely about working to live, not vice versa, but admittedly, I do have Type A tendencies. :) Congrats on your new digs! Sounds like a plum location.

Wendy :: Nice of you to help out BF. That's a workout in itself...Oh yeah, I love the lighter schedule of summer, which means longer workouts...As far as my eating? Nah, I never have trouble eating. I do that very well. :7 Hot fudge sundae from Mickey D's. Need I say more? Sorry to hear the TM situation is still off-kilter. IA with Christine's advice. Forget the speed for awhile until you get your groove back.

Wendi :: I am at the point where I try to avoid scheduling *anything* during the week. I need my sleep! Hope you have fun tonight @ bowling. Glad to hear it's a little earlier. Scoring the moolah would be sweet for the two of you. Continued good luck!

Christine :: End of the year is bittersweet for me. It's hectic because of the combination of school closing duties and how hyped the kids are, so by the last day, I'm ready to drop. Of course, I do look forward to summer break. But goodbyes are hard. You spend an hour a day with these kids for 10 months, and we sort of become a little family, a community of learners. I'll miss them. Thanks for the heads up about bi's & tri's. Woo-hoo on fixing the tire! You're back in action. I say go for the century ride. That's almost a month apart from your half. No doubt a tough cookie like you can handle it! That's great that eliminating the dairy has been a success.

Carole :: good we'll have Christine to talk us out of any incidents. :) I finished season 1...jawdropping!...and am now moving on to season 2. Hope to watch the first episode of it tonight. I may have to get this series on DVD. Go Dex!

Judy :: Humid here too. My classroom is like the frozen tundra again, though, so I wear my fleece indoors! *lol*

Jackie :: all expenses paid to Bonaire? Sweet! How do you refuse that deal??? I am team leader just until the end of the year. It's interesting being part of the leadership, just too time-consuming for my tastes. Very flattering comments from the doc. Good to have all your hard work appreciated, ay? :)

Gloria :: I so understand where you're coming from re: school. Have a great last day! Hope the pain subsides. It is hard to heal when you keep coughing. Would you believe I am *still* going on with the congestion & coughing myself? This sucker wants to hang on for dear life. *lol*

OK, I believe that catches me up. I'm due for some couch time and more Dexter. Have a great night!

RE: :::CHEETAHS:::THANKGOODNESS IT

Evening Cheetahs!

Sorry for the MIA-ness. :( I didn't even have time to read the threads. I'll have to wait until tomorrow afternoon. I have the last school picnic to help/attend tomorrow. I'll finish up my APX rotation tomorrow. Today's workout was 35 minutes on the EXT and iCycle #24/30 for cardio. I did ASJ's stability ball segment. I think I'll feel my inner thighs tomorrow. }( Lastly, Flexible Warrior running segment. Now I have to figure out what I'll do next. I'll be heading to bed soon because the storms were bad last night. I had 2 out of 3 kids in bed last night. Tonight was the last soccer tryout. We tried out at two ball clubs, which meant 4 nights of trying out. :eek: The kids were excited. We'll find out which team they will make next week. Glad to be leaving our current club!! :) I also had a wake/funeral out in Indiana Tuesday. :( Sure was busy this week. I'll be looking forward to next week. :)

I'll just do some personals from this check in:

Gloria ~ Sorry you're having pain. Glad you're seeing the doctor.

Wendy ~ Sorry you're still having treadmill trouble. I can't figure out what's going on either. :( Have you talked to any trainers, etc at your gym? I'll be having the same problem as you as far as getting out to run now that the kids will be home. I don't want to run too late in the heat. I'll have to figure something out too.

Christine ~ You're more than welcome to stay here! We are having some hot, hot temps here too! I won't complain though because I was so tired of all that cold weather we had. ;-) Yeah, for your bike being fixed. So, you got the new CCv8? How do you like it?

Jackie ~ Are you using the original P90X and P90X+ together? The bald guy reminds me so much of my younger brother. He was in for a family wake/funeral Tues and I told him. He was very curious about the workouts. :) He's in the Marines. Yeah!! You may join us in Chicago!??! I'm crashing in Carol and Christine's room Sat night! :) Carol, did you know that. LOL!

Shelly ~ That place sounds awesome!!! You may not want to go back home. ;-) Thanks for the Amy link. I guess there was button problems, that's why I thought the pre-order was over. I got Rumble. :D

Wendi ~ Lol'd about the HRM. Mine has been going bonkers too. lol I stopped wearing this week, but used for today's cardio and it was fine. Hmmm. My neighbor has my 4D DVD. Now I want it back. ;-) Glad you got in a great workout!!}(

Carole ~ That was some workout! Did you get it all in? Yeah. Yoga X is long. That's why I've been really liking Flexible Warrior. It's a nice stretch for such a short amount of time. Yeah, for another P90X+. I've been previewing them while doing cardio this week. I got them before I started the original P90X rotation and I'm just now watching them. My total body one stopped and I had to advance it. Guess I need to call someone. :(

Judy ~ Happy Birthday to your DS!

Cathy ~ It's almost over!!!! Just keep telling yourself that....are you completely free over the summer then? Or do you teach summer school? Hang in there!! I had a hard time w/my workouts this week too, but I did the best I could. I was at the school's a lot. :)

Kath ~ Read Shelly's post..woo hoo on the compliment! You're working it, huh?!! Way to go!

Hi to the rest of the Cheetahs!

RE: :::CHEETAHS:::THANKGOODNESS IT

Hello my fellow cheetahs! Remember me? LOL :)

I have been missing you all so much. My life has been so crazy busy that I don't even know where to begin. It has been almost 3 months since my strained meniscus and I still haven't been able to run yet. I can walk without problems or pain though, but when I try to jog, even at a VERY slow pace I'm still limping, but not in pain. I guess that is a good sign at least. This past month DH has been out of town for 3 weeks leaving me a single mom. It has been more difficult than planned since DS has 2 T-ball games a week and hating every moment of it. DD is also at that age where she can't sit still and watch anything for more than 30 seconds. Also, on the work front my office manager is out of the office for 6 weeks or so instead of the 3 she had planned, leaving me doing both mine and her jobs. It has been so busy I haven't had a chance take my lunch break these past 3 1/2 weeks. I'm praying July 1st gets here soon.

Anyway, with all of this going on my computer time has been seriously compromised and I haven't had a chance to keep up with everyone. I hope to be back to regularly checking in again in the next 3-4 weeks when my office manager is back to work. Then I will have more time.

Well, that is all that is going on with me. I miss you all so much and can't wait to be able to read on a regular basis how my cheetah girls are. Take care!
