I just got 19! I plan to try it next week and after that I'm gonna link 'em up myself for an ultimate sprinting challenge!}(

it's a really good pair. a great heart-pumping, sweat-inducing workout!

*sniff sniff* i miss grace.

i think i am going to try a light run this weekend. i've been "runless" since christmas day and my hip feels fine.

Take it slow Lorie but I don't see why you can't give it a shot if you are not in any pain. You certainly allowed your hip plenty of recovery time! Let us know how you do!!!!

believe me, at the FIRST sign of pain (but hopefully not) i will stop. on that run christmas day, i was hurting by about mile 2 but i still did 11.4. stupid, stupid, stupid!

I'm blushing, but seriously, if you were to meet me - I'm sooo not Foxy Cheetah - now I know how Cathy felt! :p

I broke down and ordered both Slo Mo AND Hi/Lo Dome. They will arrive on Wednesday in North Carolina - figured HLD would give me another workout to do. I feel entirely wicked right now. }( But, I WILL hold off on the BOSU until I 'earn" it.

Well, I’m back and childless until Sunday afternoon. That means that as soon as I leave work I can go straight home and do BFL UB and get in my 4 mile run before DH gets home. It feels strange to not have to go pick the kids up right after work.

So does everyone have a cheetah name? I have no idea what mine could be.

I got my CT results. Like I suspected, nothing there except some sinus stuff. So the doc is calling in a new prescription to my pharmacy. Hopefully it will clear up these headaches I’ve been having for the past 5 months.

Lori – I agree with you wholeheartedly about us fitting in our workouts with our busy schedules. I guess the main difference between us and the other people “who can’t find the time” is the fact that we make it a priority for our health and well being. I’m a much happier person when I workout. How are you liking your new jeep.

Christine – I agree you are a foxy cheetah. It suits you. Great pic! Happy birthday to Jimmy! You will earn your Bosu in no time. Hang in there girl!!

Shelly – Will you be running the LV marathon again this year? Enjoy S&H with Wendy.

Wendy – I like pull-up cheetah too. It would be great if you could do the Nike marathon/half marathon along with all of us. You could consider it a mini vacation for yourself.

Thomasina – I glanced briefly at the article online. I think when I’m out tomorrow I will pick up the monthly issue so I can read it more in depth.

SunnyD – Sorry to hear your monitor is still giving you problems.

WAVES to all my cheetah pals!! Sorry I don’t have more time to chat with everyone!

kristi-i'm telling you, a neti pot would do you wonders. i know it seems gross, but it really, really works.

Hey there, cheetah babes! http://www.therpgsite.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif http://www.therpgsite.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif http://www.therpgsite.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Lotta catchin’ up to do from the last two days…I *lol*’d about the idea of us holding hands and crying as we cross the Nike finish line…hilarious! What’s this about chocolate stations? Pedi stations? I’m in!

Shelly :: I didn’t mind the chaperoning, actually…and plus, I’ll get paid for it. I guess you could say I’m the kind of nut who thrives under occasional pressure…thanks for the vibes!!!…Two sprint runs + 4DS BC *and* u/b confirms your Crazy Cheetah status for sure. Rock on, my hero!!!!

Lorie :: thanks for the smileys and the vote of confidence…big smiles here at my end. The class after lunch that usually goes ape on any given day blew me away with a kick-butt Socratic circle. I was so proud of them. We actually huddled up at the end of class and did a cheer. *lol* How corny.

Wendi :: I hope the horse show went well…I feel so bad that you work all these hours…I hope you can make that career transition soon…For now, you could be Work-a-thon Cheetah…?

Kristi :: the HIIT was done in the morning yesterday…I held off on the Slo-Mo legs until this morning. I realized I was trying to squeeze too much into the weekday when it wasn’t really necessary – I could just make up the missed workout on the weekend…Glad the test results didn’t show anything major. Hope the new meds bring more relief. I am looking into the neti-pot Lorie recommended. The Simply Saline doesn't seem to do the trick for me…Enjoy your alone time with DH!…So are you using PUB or just doing the BFL weights on your own?…Hmmm, let’s think of a name for you…

Christine :: Foxy Cheetah! I love it!…Glad you’ve nipped that pesky little wanna-be cold in the bud…ITA about WW being for mostly sedentary folks…but we can make it work for us…We do need more points than the program wants to allot us, though…Well, it’s probably the lowest-key ski season I’ve had yet…we usually try to take a few trips to VT, but it may be just the one weekend in Killington. That’s OK with me…My skis are in – BIL picked ‘em up last night – and I should be able to get them this weekend. Yay!! Glad your dad is doing well. Have a safe flight out there tomorrow.

Carole :: oh yes! I remember those ski machines!…That is AWESOME that the Pain-Free book has helped your hip already…thanks for the good wishes!!

Jackie :: 10 unassisted?? Wow! I bow down to the Chic Cheetah!

Sunny :: Yessss! I am SO, so happy for you that the Accutane’s kicked in!…Yeah, I would say my feelings about Amy are lukewarm. I think she's OK…Sorry your plans got messed up today. Have been there lately myself and know it can be frustrating…aww, poor DS! That must be so tough to take them for shots.

Thomasina :: you are my BFL inspiration, lady, b/c I need to get the eating in check…I did well the first week -- until Friday. I must confess, that “Free Weekend” has me thrown me off. Planning really is the key for me. I am going to spend more time with the EFL book this weekend and get my selves in order here!!…*lol* about the BOSU Queen…but in all fairness, we are now all obsessed, so the Ski Bunny is a better fit, methinks.

Dallas :: sounds like you are conquering the tricky balancing parts of BOSU Blast…great job! I wound up doing Slo-Mo legs this morning – good stuff!

Lori :: Oh geeze—*lol*…there is nothing more frightening than viewing yourself on videotape. I was daring today and didn’t wear head-to-toe black. :) Your new Jeep looks sharp!

Wendy :: how’d you make out at my happy place (Target)? Find the coat tree?…Oh yes, Buff Cheetah suits you…What about Coffee Nut Cheetah?…Crackin’ up at you having an eating contest with Wendi.

Lorie - I'm going to check into a neti pot. I've never heard of one before. Anything is worth a try at this point. Do you have one? Any recommendations?

Cathy - Good job on the Slo-Mo legs this morning. You are extremely busy these days. I hope you are taking some time out for yourself when you can. So far I have been doing PUB & PLB on my own following the BFL format. It only takes me about 1/2 hour to do it and I go really heavy with my weights to hit my 10. I'm going to try to stick with doing my weights that way for about 4 weeks and see what results I get. Afterwards I will probably do the Gymstyles for 4 weeks and then possibly P90X (my own rotation) for 4 weeks. I try to do my weights on M, W, & F during lunch and then on those nights after the kids are in bed I can run on the treadmill by doing 1 short run, 1 interval run, or 1 hill run. Then on Saturday I do my long runs. This puts me at working out 4 days a week which I think will be better for me because I will have 3 recovery days/week.

Sunny - I hate taking my kids for shots too. It never was that bad until this past year when DS realized he was going to get one. In the past the shot was easily forgotten 10 minutes after the nurse would give it. However, this time he kept screaming when the nurse told him he was going to get a shot and then afterwards he would tell me all night long, "That shot hurt me." It broke my heart to hear him say that over and over again.

Hello Cheetahs!

I'm glad I'm finally home and out of the cold!! Brrrrr! Who else is living in a deep freeze right now? I'm so glad my ABS didn't fail me on my car!!!! I was so worried. Anyway, I did iCycle #16/40, and then APX - Legs this morning. There's definitely an exercise that hits that area where your butt meets the hamstring. I think it's been called the "thut" on the OD? ha ha! Well, I'm feeling it right about now. }( I felt it even better sitting on cold bleachers watching ds's practice.

I'll have to go read the thread.

:) :) :) Personals :) :) :)

Cathy ~ How did the taping go? What's the next step now? I think Ski Bunny Cheetah is a good one especially with that cute emoticon. That would be me!! LOL!

Sunny ~ I'm sure gonna try the X. Well, see how long I can last! LOL! Sorry your day got messed up. I hate when stuff like that happens.

Wendi ~ How did the horse show go? Did you have time to workout?

Sporty aka Lorie ~ Wow! That sounds like some marathon!!! How many of you Cheetahs are dong this one? IA, the iTrains are wonderful! I have lead several down the iTrain path too!! I'm still working on my neighbor. Could you do the iTreads, but do the walking or fast walking pace? Or would it be too tempting to run? I was just thinking you could get your Grace fix.

Lori ~ What's wrong with your son? How come he's getting shots? So, are you flying to Cali?

Christine aka Foxy Cheetah ~ Nice pictures! Jimmy is so cute!!! :) I love your hair too! :) Sorry!! hee hee I can't help it I'm really enjoying using it! I think it's a great piece of exercise equipment...no enabling. ;) OK, what gave you DOMS the Slow Mo legs in your circuit. Amy got me today too w/APX legs. }(

Shelly ~ Yep, you've earned the "Crazy" Cheetah title with that workout. ;) Way to go!!! Now what kind of calorie burn does that type of work out give you!!?!? No, maybe Legs of Steel Cheetah. :7 I don't think I can be your friend anymore....you hope the Pats win!?!? ;) :p Awww, come on - don't you want to root for the underdog!?!?

Carole ~ You missed my joke. I said "any pain in the butt in your life". LOL!!! j/k the book sounds interesting! Thanks for the link. Which iClimb did you do? I got #5 for free, but have to get to the gym to use the elliptical. Can't seem to get there. :( How's the hip?

Wendy ~ So, what did you think of S&H legs? Did you make it to Target? That was one of my stops today. Wasn't planning on it, but....They have a great home section. That store is the worse for saying you're running in for one thing and coming out with 10! ha ha!

Jackie ~ Still!!! We should call you Strong Cheetah!!! }( What are you plans this weekend?

Kristi ~ Do you think it could be food allergies? I went to see a nutritionist last March, and he really fixed me up!! :) Enjoy your childless time!

Hi to the rest of the Cheetahs!

Nighty Night!
