Good Morning Ladies!

Well, I have to get in 2 cardio sessions, PLB and a 1 yoga session all by the end of tomorrow. So far I know I am taking a class at the gym tonight so one of the cardios is taken care of. I do not know if I will do yoga or PLB at nap time. Tomorrow I'll have to do the one I don't do today plus another cardio. I am debating on going for spin tonight and doing a Cathe kickbox tomorrow or possibly going for kickbox at the gym tonight and running tomorrow! Decisions decisions...what's a girl to do!?:p

Alrighty...Let me post this and then I'll come back for personals.

BBS!

:) Cathy: I know what you are saying about if it ain't broke...that's partly why I opted to just go with the Mizunos again. Every time I go running in the park I always have to use the bathroom before we get started cause otherwise I'd pee myself mid-run! I still often times have to go by the time we are done but it's tolerable. I take water with me though and drink through out the run so I know I do it to myself!:p

:) Jess: Hope you had fun at the pool y'day. Nice bike ride with your brother!

:) Laurie: Sorry about your thumb. Hope it feels better soon. Yielding heavy D/B's for u/b work can really hurt the hands/fingers.

:) Carole: LOL'ing at Sadie the guard of the fish! How cute.

:) Amy: I would love to see pics of your tats so go become computer literate girl!:p

:) Jackie: When I bought my Mizunos I had gone to a running store and the guy had me get a half size larger then I usually wear. They have obviously served me well so if you didn't that, it could possibly have been the problem.

:) Hi Laura and Sunny!

Good morning cheetahs! Had not time for posting yesterday:( I'm back at work and it's blissfully slow so I have time for a little catch up. Yesterday I did L&G, hadn't done that one in a while and followed it with StepBlast, also one that has been gathering dust lately. My legs were feeling like they were made of cement at the end so it's time for a rest! I may make today a total rest day but more likely I'll be doing GS C&T, still giving the legs a rest!

Wendy- So you haven't even gotten the certification yet (although you will soon) and already you have a client?!!! wooohooo! It's just the beginning cheetahbabe! BTW, I'm sure you're the only one who sees anything different with your body lately ;-) You'll look fabulous in your bikini on vacation! You're so cute in your dilemma over what workouts to do..... typical Wendy!

Cathy- How did the hot stone massage go? I really don't need to ask, I know it was divine! I may go for it myself soon.

Carole- Congratulations on your big catch!!!!! What kind of fish?

Amy- enjoy your rest day! I didn't know you were a newlywed!!
That's wonderful :7 So, you haven't experienced hills yet???
Oh my! You are in for some fun}(

Laurie- Hope the thumb is on the mend.

Hi Jackie, Jess, Laura, SunnyD !!! Christine... we miss you!
Stay safe everyone!

ShellyC

Morning Shelly!

Have fun doing GSC&T cause I know YOU will not be taking a total rest day today!}( I am definately bloated from the bad eating but I'm sure I see it as much worse then it actually is. THAT much I will admit. ;)

Hello Lovely Ladies:) My thumb is still tender but I'm working around it. Looks like we're in for a nice day here. I went to the gym where I'll be working but it's still under constructionx( I just hate this limbo time of not being able to give notice but wanting to talk about it more. They're doing a great job, though, it's a very esthetically pleasing space. I'm giving my upperbody a break and doing LowMax today.

Amy, I love historic Quebec City, spent a lot of time there when I was growing up. The city I live in (Kingston) is also historic and has gorgeous waterfront. It's where Lake Ontario meets the might St. Lawrence River.

Cathy, glad you enjoyed your massage, you deserve to feel THAT good!

Wendy, that's so cool that buddy is willing to hire you. Testiment and compliment to how fit you look and are!

Shelly, nice that it's been quiet enough at work to get caught up.:) L&G is a goodie, I love it 'cause there's no barbell squats in it....I got pretty burnt out on barbell squats when I was teaching BodyPump. Enjoy your rest or GS C&T:)

Time to wake these legs up:)

Take Care
Laurie

Morning, cheetahs & happy Friday :)

Did a B&G mishmosh (Floor Work, Ankle Weights, Bonus Glute Squeeze, Lunge/Squat Combo, & Firewalkers) followed by a 40 minute run. The humidity is back – with a vengeance! BOO!

Wendy :: I wish I’d had some water out there with me today! What workout did you decide on?

Shelly :: enjoy GS C&T today and a break for your legs…oh yeah, the massage ROCKED!

Laurie :: hope the construction is finished soon, so you can make your transition!…I was enjoying barbell work for awhile; now I feel burnt out of it, too. I find myself not liking constant plate changes, so I stick with dumbbells when I can.

OK, gotta shower and then head to the chiro for my first visit. My back is feeling so much better than it was last week, but I decided to keep the appointment, anyway. I truly belive that staying active helped. The rest of the day I have NOTHING on the agenda (and I’m not ready to resume the de-cluttering/downsizing project) so it’ll be kickback time for me. Tonight, my parents want to take me out for dinner to celebrate my Master’s.

Have a great Friday, ladies! BBL!

Good morning Cheetahs! Congrats Wendy on your first client of many!!

My week has been thrown off by Wednesday being the 4th. I can't tell you how glad I am that it is Friday. Today I only have to work 1/2 day, but get paid for a whole day. I love that! Anyway, I plan to pick up DS from daycare when I leave work and take him for his school eye exam. Afterwards, I guess I should push mow our lawn. I'm going to consider that my workout since it takes an hour to do it and my yard is hilly. Besides I'm really tired today because I only got 4 hours of sleep last night since DD was up from 1-4.

Oh, I bought an elliptical. Before, anyone gets too excited :), I bought it on the 4th from my neighbor's yard sale. It is nothing fancy and the display doesn't work right, but for $35 I thought I'd give it a try. This is actually a test run to see if I like using an elliptical and if I do then I will eventually buy a better model. So far I think it is okay, but I want to give it a couple tries before making my final judgement. I tried it out for the first time on Wednesday night with CC vol 1.

I hope everyone has a great day!!

cathy- when you figure out your 60-80% of your heart rate, what formula do you use to get that? 220-age or the 180-age?

Good morning ladies!

Getting ready to do the BootCamp/ME bonus premix and thought of y'all so I figured I'd pop in to say hi! I'm simply very busy and do not have time to do anything other than a quick scan of the forums and the check-in, so please forgive my silence. It's nothing to do with you lovely ladies. I have been reading though!

And for all you Jimmy fans - here's his latest photo - he's getting BIG!

http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1308/4836116/10006168/264071210.jpg

I miss y'all! I'll check in when I can!

Christine - I'm glad to hear you are doing well and Jimmy is so cute! He is really growing!

Has anyone heard from Linda?

Good morning cheetahs

Wendy...that is cool about that guy wanting to hire you! I emailed Christine and she is not running much but spinning a lot. She is also busy but said she would post when she can...You have a lot to get in by the end of tomorrow!

Shelly...I have done some of the premixes on SB/SJP, they are fun workouts. Thanks...the fish are salmon, I think some sort of King Salmon, but very tasty and fun to catch. Enjoy GS C&T today.

Cathy...sounds like you really worked the buns yesterday! We have an 18 ft Crestliner fishing boat. I have always like fishing, but just have not been out in a few years. I realized how much I missed it! I think I have your new email addy, but when you get a chance PM me and I will send the Excel sheets to you...I used to do a lot of Kathy Smith workouts, I bet her Yoga sculpt is good. The only Pilates I have are the Windsor ones. Wow...sounds like another lower body killer workout today! Let us know how the Chiro appt goes. Have a great time at dinner celebrating your Master's...:)

Laurie...yes, Sadie takes her job very seriously! Shasta Lake is quite beautiful and not far from my house. Lowmax is a fun leg workout. I have not done it in awhile. Hey, I think Michele wants you to check your email.

Michele...HI...:)

Kristi...Have fun with the Elliptical. That is nice you only have to work half day. I think push mowing the lawn is quite a workout!

Amy...I didn't know you were a newlywed! Congrats. I don't eat seafood but fresh lake fish like bass and salmon I love.

Laura...thanks, we do have some really nice places up here. That is great your house is coming along. Houses in Calif are not selling fast either. Seems like it is a buyers market.

Jackie...I'll tel you what, reeling in those fish made them feel very heavy! I don't like ocean salmon at all but the lake salmon is very good. Good job with the easy run and S&H chest yesterday.

I didn't do Amy's leg workout yesterday so I will do it today. I opted for washing my car after my run and upper body yesterday. It has been very hot here the last few days, about 116 for the high...http://smilies.sofrayt.com/eng/sweat.gif[/img]...I will also do about 40 min on my EXT.

Have a great day...

Between Jimmy's latest pic and Carole's sweaty smilie guy, I'm enjoying myself here! LOL

I've been MIA for about 3 days, just busy relaxing....is that an oxymoron? lol Busy relaxing. I'll take it! My eating hasn't been good, though. I took Tues, Wed and Thurs all off from workouts. I was dog tired each and every morning....I guess from all that relaxing! lol BUT....I started new today with B&G as produced. LOVE IT! Theheat and humidity are kicking in high gear, so my runs this weekend will most likely be with an iTread on the TM.

I know the topic of cold sores has come up here before, so....I'm fighting my 2nd cold sore in 3 weeks! OUCH! These 2 really hurt this time around. But yesterday I decided it was time to hit them hard, so I went to the Dr for a prescription med. I'm done fooling around with these. So now I'm armed for when I feel my next one coming on. I guess all the stress between by best friend's PFA/divorce case, breaking up with DFiance, and DS's baseball takes its toll.

OK...sorry to hit and run. I must pay bills and get some more PC work done. BBL

Good morning everyone!

Wendy - That sounds like a tough circuit you created. I bought my Mizunos at a running store. I just think they run a little smaller than my other running shoes. I bought a size larger but think I needed that extra 1/2 size. The thing about them too is I bought them in Calif. while I was on a trip and couldn't return them. They felt good when I tried them on. It was probably the narrower toe box too. Now I stick with New Balance or Asics. I know they work for me.

Cathy - I want one of the hot stone massages. I'm trying to think where I might go for one that's close by. Do understand about finding just the right workout gear. I tried one of the Champion bras and I couldn't believe how good that thing feels. Of course, I don't have much to support but the girls loved it.:7 I've had the GBG set for awhile. I use the stretch and abs more than anything else. I got it off the Ya Ya swap. It's has some good little ad ons but nothing that would work by itself except the abs and stretch. If you don't like SS, I don't think you would like this one either. Tony does the ab, arms and stretch and Debbie does hips and thighs and legs. Good luck at the chiro.

Shelly - Enjoy your semi-rest day with GS C&T!

Laurie - I know the wait is killing you to get to the new gym. Maybe it won't be too long.

Kristi - Great buy on the elliptical. It's definitely the way to go to see if you will use it for something other than a clothes hanger.

Carole - So, would the lake salmon be just a little different in color than the ocean? It is hot there. Hope you stay cool. Enjoy your leg and elliptical workout.

Christine - Glad to see you and the picture of Jimmy. He's really growing and he's still a cutie.

I did iTread #20 - 30 minutes. I was doing a 4 mile pace run and this one worked pretty well. She takes the speed up .1-.2 every minute. It's about 35 minutes or so. I did Firm Power Yoga. Like this one but just don't do it that often.

Have a fabulous Friday?

Jackie

Good morning ladies-

Wendy- yay, for the new sneakers. i love getting new gear!

cathy- what an awesome mish-mosh. i can going to have to give that one a try. have fun at dinner tonight!

carole- yesterday i bought Amy's kbox extreme! can't wait for it to come in the mail.

christine- so nice to hear from you and glad all is well. jimmy just keeps getting cuter:)

jackie-i bought that itread. i am going to have to give it a try. i am actually thinking of the sprint one for tomorrow but i am verrry afraid:) }(

laurie- hopefully the gym will be done very soon and you will be able to tell the world, lol. it's so nice to work in a brand new gym.

shelly- i just cannot get over the workouts you do in a day. you are an amazing woman!

kristi-congrats on the elliptical. they are great for cross training. i see you are doing your CC's! have you bought an itreads yet??!!

today's workout was legs at the gym (i hit 'em hard). i am also going to take a yoga class this afternoon.

ttyl...:7

SunnyD - Great job working your legs!! Enjoy your yoga class. I bought a couple itreads a few weeks ago, but still have not used them yet. When I purchased my CCs I bought them on CD so I would have a nice case for them. So when I use my CCs I put them in my DVD and plug in my ear phones and do the workout. However since I bought the itreads in MP3 format (because that is all they offer) I can't use them the same way even though I burned them to CD. It won't work. So now I have to get my MP3 player back from DH and upload them so I can use them. This may be a while because I feel guilty taking back the MP3 player he bought for me because he uses it at the gym.

Hello again, cheetahs~

Kristi :: *sweet* that you’re working half the day but getting paid for the whole thing. I think mowing a hilly lawn definitely counts for a workout! You know you’ll be sweatin’ & burnin’ cals. Congrats on your new elliptical!…It’s been awhile since Linda checked in. Susan, too. Hope they're both OK. I know Susan is helping her friend w/ cancer. I wonder how she is doing.

Laura :: If using a formula to estimate max HR, Edwards recommends the following as one of the more reliable: 210 – (half your age) – (5% x your weight in lbs.)

Christine :: great to see ya!…We do miss you LOTS but understand, of course, that you’re busy at the moment. LOVE the pic of Jimmy – wow, is he getting big. I’ve said it before, but he’s got those striking, wise old soul eyes.

Carole :: sorry, I forgot to PM you – will do…I used to like Kathy Smith also – straightforward style and good cuing…I still do her k’boxing vid now and then…I previewed the pilates DVD and the inflexible yoga DVD last night – both look interesting. I actually did one segment of the pilates workout and I can see how it gives you a good burn (very much like Squeeze), but I thought it could’ve gone on longer…Still, I’ll have to see what it’s like when I do several segments…the abs looked challenging…I’m appreciating your sweaty smiley guy, too – that’s how I felt this morning. Positively gross! Hope it cools down some for you.

Gayle :: *lol* about the oxymoron…I know what you mean…it’s amazing how a day can fly when you’re not really doing much of anything…Hope the new meds keep the cold sores at bay…How are you doing, BTW? Have you returned the ring yet? (((HUGS))) I’m sure you can use ‘em!…Any updates on the school job?

Jackie :: I tried the Champion and that is one I did not care for. Too much bounce. I don’t think I really have all that much, either – that’s an area I don’t seem to have trouble losing inches from – but somehow it’s become an issue...thanks for the info on GBG…I will pass, knowing that…Yoga after a run is great, isn’t it?

Sunny :: I usually do B&G premixes or mishmoshes that don’t include the floor work or ankle weight work, so I thought I’d try something different. Forgot how much that burns!

Well, my first chiro visit went well, although it did freak me out a little when she made the adjustments and my back/neck creaked and cracked. It was slightly uncomfortable. Then, I spent about 10 minutes on an automated massage table, which I could’ve done without. It just felt like water was sloshing around and slapping against my back but wasn’t all that soothing. Guess I’ve been spoiled with these spa massages! *lol* Anywho, I need to get X-rays done and I am scheduled to go back 3x next week. According to the doc, one of the vertebra in my low back is out of whack and putting pressure on the nerve, which makes sense – must be why I had that brief sciatic episode recently. Also, she says I have whiplash, and she touched some points in my neck that were surprisingly tender. It’s hard to describe how I feel…my low back is actually a bit tender but the spine/neck overall feel better somehow. It’s all very interesting, this chiropractic stuff.

Enjoy your day!
Cathy :)

Good Afternoon.

Well, I didn't get to complete my work out but I did some of it. I did PLB sans floorwork in order to leave a bit more time for cardio. I decided on Kenpo X but didn't even get through the punches cause DS woke up early (and cranky) from his nap so I had to stop. I was thinking of finishing my work out later but truth be told is that I probably won't. DH and I are going to the store and are going to watch a movie later so I really won't have the time...

Laurie: I am happy to hear that you are pleased with how your new "office" is turning out. Thank you for the compliments and words of encouragement. You are very sweet. :)

Cathy: Your work out today sounds deadly! LOL How did you manage a run after all of that burnin' up of the legs you did?? LOL I actually LOVE to run after a leg work out but it can be tough to get started. }(

Kristi: TY for the congrats. He's not my client YET. I have to discuss this with DH since this would be a thing where I'd be training the guy in his home and safety is a concern for both myself (can he be trusted?) and him (what if he gets hurt!?).
Congrats to you on your elliptical! You are doing it the smart way, buying used/inexpensice until you know if you really like it or not! I hope it works out for you!:)

Carole: Thanks for the update on Christine. :) I have some concerns to deal with in regards to training this guy from the video place but if I can work them out I will probably do it. He said he really just needs someone to motivate him. I CAN DO THAT!!!:+

Christine: Glad to see you today! Jimmy is looking so handsome! Growing up already! My gosh they grow so fast! I remember when my 80 pounds of dog was just a pup too!:-( Hope you get un-busy so you can spend more time with us. You are mised when you can't post.

Gayle: Being busy relaxing is great! Glad you are having a fun summer! :)

Jackie: I guess other running shoes just work better for you. I thought of trying others to see if anything worked BETTER but my gosh, how many possibilities are there and how many years would I be "trying" new ones before I settled on one!? LOL

Sunny: Enjoy leg and yoga day! I did legs today and will hit the yoga tomorrow! I chose to forgo the spin shoes for now but the running shoes had to happen. I can't wait to get them now!!!:)I am mailing off my exam on Monday!!!!

Okay, that's all for now.
BBL!

Back from dinner...We tried a nearby restaurant for the first time...it's American cuisine with Mexican flair...I just love trying new restaurants, and this was no disappointment. Everything was *very* tasty! I had grilled shrimp in a spicy habanero sauce with chipotle mashed potatoes and vegetables...yum! :9

Wendy :: sounds like you managed a decent workout, even though you couldn't quite finish your cardio...Hope Joey-bear's in a better mood now! :)...I am really starting to like running after leg work and think that my body must be getting used to it, possibly even addicted to it. Oh man, we are a twisted bunch, aren't we? *lol* Enjoy the movie tonight!

I am in for a quiet night also.

Cathy :)
