:::: CHEETAHS :::: TGIF, 1/5

Ok, I'm back...

Laurie: I hope the rain stops so that you all can go skating. :)

Kristi: How did your run go today?

Sunny: Dang girl, your new career is taking off like a shot! YEAY!:+

Christine: Well I'm pretty certain that I'll have DOMS in some upper body part tomorrow after that darned double u/b premix I did! WHOA! Enjoy your work out and I know you'll make that 1000 miles girl!

Laura: Enjoy plyo x today and good luck with the job situation!

Carole: So how do the legs feel after some B&G and the elliptical? I hope you have DOMS for 2 days like I did!!!}( }( }( ;) So you are running a marathon on Jan 14th? How did I miss that??

Jess: NO CABLE!? OMG! LOL...Actually, I wouldn't mind nixxing the cable as I find it pretty useless EXCEPT for the Disney Channel for Joey. My hubby won't hear of it though...MEN!:p

Judy: Sorry about the continued GI issues. Who knows what your body is up to but I hope it straightens out soon! Yes, the double upper body from BM2 is what I did today and all I can say is..WHOA!!!!

Shelly: Jan 14th...good. It's close. If it were any further away I'd forget and have to ask again before the day got here! LOL

Hey, cheetahs! I just got in from work…it’s warm and not raining too hard, but somewhere along the way today, I decided I wanted to swap workout plans. So, after dinner, I’m gonna do one of the KPC premixes + the intensity drills from KM and SM-segment 1. Tomorrow will be a run + PUB.

Marcia ::: hope you were able to squeeze in PUB…if not, I’m sure you will be active while in Meh-hee-co :) Will DH or DS be joining you for any beach runs?

Judy ::: after reading your first post, I was going to say I hope the 7-miler wasn’t too boring, but if you had to stop in the woods on account of GI troubles, I’d say it surely wasn’t!!! Egads! That’s no fun—sorry to hear it. Did you happen to have tissues with you or something?? I would be inclined to think it’s someTHING you ate and not necessarily the time of night. But then again, every body is affected by change differently. At any rate, I hope the issue goes away!

Wendy ::: Oh no about your neck!! Sorry to hear it. I can imagine how excruciating that must’ve been. When I did stability ball abs from B&G this past Wednesday, I *still* had pain in my neck from that fall I took on the ski slopes more than a week before. So, I had to modify and always keep a hand under my neck. Hell, for a few days after that spill, I had to support my head every time I merely wanted to get out of bed! It’s nothing to fool with—you’re so right! Try some heat tonight as well…Yes, these temps *are* totally nuts! I decided I’d rather run tomorrow when it’s sunny. On dreary days, I find it harder to push myself out the door. I’m joining you in DOMS-land as the hammies have decided to tighten up. I knew there was NO WAY I was going to get off scot-free! PLB *spanked* me yesterday!! I could hear the droplets of sweat hit the carpet.

Kristi ::: I hope your workload cleared up…or at least the 3-miler during lunch helped ease any stress!

Laurie ::: hope the rain cleared to accommodate your skating plans! I smiled reading your description of Glen…he sounds like a potential keeper. :) I don’t think we cheetahs mind if you start every sentence with “Glen did this” and “Glen said that.” Enjoy the early flutterings! I’m truly glad things have worked out.

Sunny ::: wow, your new career sure is taking off! Hang in there…when this becomes a FT gig and you can permanently clock out of your current job, life will be easier!

Christine ::: too early to be impressed…some DOMS has indeed set in…I had no idea PLB was such a kick-butt workout. Whew!

Laura ::: that stinks about your company preventing you from working in the building! I hope it all works out…but I know the uncertainty is extremely stressful!

Carole ::: that’s a good solution – to have multiple barbells…I just don’t have the space for it…I’m happy to sub the DBs, actually…I think I prefer them most of the time, to tell you the truth. I know what you mean – I’ve been eating clean all week, and now that I’m over that bug, I feel great!

Jess ::: glad you had a good visit albeit a short one…also glad you’re feeling better. :)

Shelly ::: I’m glad DH’s situation can be monitored and controlled without any major procedures. I think you’d written before that he doesn’t like to work out so much—is that right? Thanks--it is nice to see a smidgen of success already in the first week…it’s great motivation. The UB fry has been postponed until tomorrow. I haven’t done PUB in a while. It’s not one of my favorites, but after PLB yesterday, I think I’m gaining new respect for it. Just wondering: what is the theoretical rationale behind pyramid training?

I stopped at the bookstore after work to look for Vegan Planet, but all they had was The Vegetarian’s Planet, which I assumed was not the same book, or…? Is there an author or editor’s name I should look for? I did pick up Tosca Reno’s new The Eat Clean Diet book and look forward to perusing that this weekend.

OK, time to figure out dinner, relax a bit (not too much!) and then sweat some!
Cathy :)

Hi again, cheetahs~

Just checkin' back in to say I finished KPC cardio + the leg drills from KM. And instead of SM-1, I did 10 Min. Solutions Yoga (I wanted to try it since I just bought it today). Jury's still out on that one until I try some of the other premixes, but I wasn't overly impressed with the Flexibility & Relaxation portion.

I took a look at The Eat Clean Diet and am somewhat peeved that it is nearly identical to Oxygen magazine's Clean Eating collector's issue! The Q&As included in the book are the *same exact* ones in the magazine. Grr! I'm tempted to return the book, actually. Do bookstores *take* returns?

OK, cheetahs -- off to shower! Have a great night, all!
Cathy :)

PS...Laura--it says in the book that hydration + flax in your diet is key to being "regular." Reno advises drinking two glasses of water first thing in the morning before you eat anything else.
