~::CHEETAHS Terrific Tuesday::~

Judy :: glad things will work out at least for Sam to continue with his trainer...enjoy dinner tonight...oh, how I heart calamari!! Not that I condone animal violence, but I had to laugh at the image of the chip-puck!

Christine :: I picked up a strap (it's a hideous flourescent yellow, but who cares?) that holds the glasses in place. Previously, I'd always run with the contacts in, but now that I have prescription sunglasses, I prefer to use those...hope you enjoyed Tough Love!

Linda :: I was itchin' to get out there this morning but managed to hold off...I am in awe that you did L&G *and* 7 miles. I always trust Carole's advice--6-8 seems sound to me.

Carole :: A 4.0???
th_FOFRBanana0518HL.gif
Lady, I am running out of smilies!! How in the world did you do that? Would you share?

Wendy :: so sorry about BF's mom...heartbreaking news...IA, there is little to say...what you expressed to us sounds good...you can listen if she wants to talk or you can just be there. I think that is the best you can do...In answer to your earlier question, I am an Aries, another hardhead. :)

Jackie :: solid workouts in the last few days...yes, I do like having the workouts done early...and just running out there in the peace of the morning when not many others are up n' about...I like running with the sunglasses. They are crisper than my contacts since they eliminate/reduce the double vision and have the polarized lenses.

I hope I got everyone. I have to cut this post short. About midway through, I started experiencing the aura. It appears I am getting a migraine. Let me pop the Excedrin and get on the Gatorade right away.

Have a good night, everyone!

Wendy - I am so sorry for your BF and for you. I think what you said about knowing and that you are there for her would be just right to say. You are very kind to be there and want to help her. That is very sad.

Karen - I am also very, very sorry about your mom. I didn't realize. You and your mom are in my thoughts and prayers as well as Wendy and her BF and her mom.

Cathy - I agree with you on trusting Carole's advice! I trust all of you guys! Oh no! I hope the aura and headache aren't too bad. To me, the auras were actually scarier than the headaches. They scared me to death. I would get sooo confused and disoriented after the lights and tunnelvision finally stopped. Take care and I hope you can stop it in it's tracks!

Thanks Ladies! You always manage to make me feel better. That's one of many reasons why I love you all and this thread. :)

I had to go to Walgreens tonight to pick up a few things so while I was out I bought BF a card. It says what I want to tell her but in a much more eloquent way then I ever could do myself! I will pop it in the mail to her tmrw. :)

Karen: I am sorry about your mom. Now I feel badly having posted what I did and not recalling your situation and how my post might make you feel. I am sorry about that. BF's mom was always told that she had the potential to live a very long and GOOD life. I don't know what your mom was told but hold on to that thought. Your mom could have plenty of great years ahead of her! It's a battle that is definately worth fighting! You may not have to worry about being in my friend's situation for many many years to come!

Cathy: While I was in Walgreens I FINALLY saw the cereal you raved about a while back...Nature's Path Pumpkin Raisin Crunch. I just had a bowl. I HAD to try it even though it's soooo going to put me over MANY limits in the nurtition program for today but oh well! LOL Anyway, wanted to say thanks for the suggestion. It's very good!!!:) Hope you got that migraine beat! Had no idea Aires were hard heads too! ;)

Wendy & Karen - ((((Hugs and hugs to both of you!))))) hugs are sometimes the best we can do but are always heartfelt! Bless you both!

Gosh Cathy- I hope you feel better quickly!

well we did not have to eat out after all. Our friends canceled. So DS requested grilled flank steak grilled. For myself, I subbed in tempeh made like sloppy Joe with fresh green pepper and my own home made BBQ sauce .it was delish and with a 6 oz glass of wine my cals today are 1522. yahoo! it is no 4.0 like Carol but it sure is better than I have hadthe last 4 days!

PS tempeh is low in sodium ( 30mg), and has 130 cal, 8% calcium and 10% iron, 11 g protein, 15g carb and 3 g fat per serving. I am going to try more recipes with it. I saw one online for stuffed peppers.

Just setteling down from the day.

Wendy- where else would you go for some shoulders to cry on. I'm ok. I know you meant no harm and just needed some support. It's ok. If anything you can be there for me and I for you if it comes to that for me. I just hold your bf mom in my prayers right next to my mom. Your friend will love the card I'm sure.

Thanks Wendy- Linda and Judy. It's a hard thing to deal with but it's good to come here with all of you.

Lorie: That stinks the morale is low already. That usually happens for us in February when we haven't seen the sun in too many days. This situation does not sound right. Something needs to be done. For lack of motivation, I think that is a mighty fine workout! :)

Wendy: My Dh had to work so I was solo at the wedding. When I was training for my longer races I always did yoga after. That seemed to work well for me. Great job today with the workout. I am sorry about your friend's mom. There is nothing you can say to make it better. Just be there for them. I don't know what else to say, except I am sorry for everyone. :(

Cathy: I have not gotten in touch with Dallas yet. These three days of PD are exhausting and leave me with a lot to think about. I will be pretty free this weekend and look into it. Thank you very much for letting me know. :) PD was good. My new principal is so organized and down to business. That is good for me. We also got our new equipment, which was really cool. Oh no, not a migraine. I hope it dissipates soon. ((hugs)) to you my friend.

Karen: My BFs had a run in with the IRS too this year. That just bites. Sorry about that. It stinks when I look at my salary and then realize 30% of it goes to taxes.

Judy: Maybe the chipmunk wasn't hurt. I would have felt bad to hurt it too. We have been feeding Pip outside since Ellie eats inside and the other night there were two raccoons eating the leftovers! Hope you got the cleaning done.

Christine: That is great you have been biking so much to work. I am really tired. It is hard after the summer off. I am for sure working next summer. How was Tough Love today?

Linda: Wow, that is one killer workout you did today! It has been good to be back at school.

Carole: Congrats on the 4.0! That is great! The weekend will be nice, I am looking forward to it.

Jackie: It was a good day, thank you. You got in some nice workouts over the weekend. Did I miss something? Are you selling your house?

I will admit that I did not read the entire thread and all your posts to everyone. Sorry, I just wanted to get in some personals before I get too far behind. Everything went fine at school. I had about 50% of families in attendence at the open house, so that is decent. I only ran three miles this morning because it is the first day back for the teachers and I just wanted to get there. I am just like that. Hope all have a good night. I got about ten minutes in me and I am out like a trout. Good night everyone. :)

Hey Girls.

I got another text regarding BF's mom after I posted last. It wasn't good news. No one knows for sure what will happen now so BF is going to be at the hospital every day and night now until something happens...for the better or the worse...That being said I decided to pick up the phone and call her tonight. I knew I'd be a blubbering idiot who was no where near as eloquent as the card I had purchased but I was fearful that the card may not reach her in time. :( We had a little cry-fest at first but then we both stopped blubbering and actually were able to talk about it coherently for a few minutes before she had to go.

Thanks for listening.

I'm very tired. Better go to bed now. I'll catch up with personals before work tmrw.

Good night Cheetahs!:)

Hello Cheetahs!

I'll have to do personals from the last two days.

Wendy/Karen ~ (((HUGS))) :(

Wendy ~ I'm glad you called your friend. Sometimes just listening is all that's needed. I know dh can't talk about his mom at all. :(

Wendi ~ IA w/Cathy. Mental can take more out of you than physical I'm starting to learn. Hang in there. (((HUGS)))

Christine ~ lol'd about your Closing Ceremony comments. I told my kids the same thing, well, not the LSD part. ha However, that it looked like something from Dr. Seuss. WTG on riding your bike to and from work. :)

Judy ~ Glad your brother is ok. How scary. Oh no..another chip munk got in the house? Did you get it? What's tempeh?

Carole ~ Still getting in some great workouts I see. :) WTG on the weight loss and 4.0 GPA. I think GPA is getting up there too. :) I can't wait to log my meals. I've been writing it down on a pad of paper until I have time to enter into the nutrition software.

Linda ~ Woo hoo L&G and a run!!!?? Good luck on your run tomorrow. I'm nervous to try those Shot Bloks. However, the Cytomax worked well for me too. I also, recently, found Nuun tablets. No problem with that either. I have a few Accel gels. I'll wait for another long run and give it a whirl. ;)

Shelly ~ How did the job interview go? Did the make you an offer you couldn't refuse? Oh, it was you that recommended the Cytomax. Well, thanks. It works great! :)

Posh ~ WTG on the 10. Good luck this weekend on the 18. Oh Maui...how exciting! Are you running a race there too? I forgot now. How's your son after the accident?

Gloria ~ So, are you coming to Chicago? I know Cathy suggested we room together. What do you think? Glad your room is all set up. Now you can relax his weekend. :)

Lorie ~ lol'd...I tried to click your down loading emoticon off.:eek::rolleyes:Guess, I'm over-tired. ha WTG on CC8. Still have to get that one. Which one is your favorite?

Cathy ~ I have not read your blog since "Does a body bag come with a race packet?" LOL That still makes me laugh while out running. :D That was the funniest title. WTG on the 18 miler. From the sounds of it, you're doing great!!! :D Can't wait to read all about it and laugh some more. :)

Jackie ~ Nice workouts! Sounds like it's been busy for you as well.

Karen ~ Everything resolved with the IRS. Did your kids start school yet?

Let's see, not sure where I left off workout wise. Friday, I did PUB/PLB bonus combo and a treadmill run (30 minutes). Sat, I woke feeling nauseous again.:rolleyes: I did not want to get all the way downtown w/TNT and feel like that. :( I think that would have been a great time. When I started feeling better I laced up my shoes, but only managed approx 6.5 miles outside. It was humid. I feel like I did something else afterwards, but my workout log is down stairs. Can't remember. Today, felt much better and did iTread #27/30 Drills followed by iTread #27/30 Run intervals. Travelled 6.25 miles. I finished it off w/B&G abs and stretch.

First day of school (2 hours) tomorrow for the older kids. We had open house for my little kindergarten boy. :( Geez, I was the only one crying when the teacher gave her speech. lol Well, he is my baby. He really gives me some laughs throughout the day. Glad it's only half day kindergarten. :) Well, have to get back to 4:30-5A start...better hit the hay!
