<<<CHEETAHS>>>take on tuesday!

lederr

Cathlete
i'm up (unfortunately), so i'm getting us started. it seems i was not able to avert that cold i thought i was getting and got a nasty stomach bug to go along with it! x( x( x(

i think i will be taking a rest day today. i did nrolw yesterday along with cardio and i am not sure my body would be happy with any cardio today. yoga might be a good option. we'll see...

i hope you all are having a good morning!

Morning Cheetahs!!

Tired this morning. Oh well.

Lorie: Sorry the bug got you. Rest is a good idea! Take care! :)

I have my eye on an ipod nano on Ebay. It is a steal. I think I will bid when I get home. I have never bought anything from there before. We will see!

Have a great day!!! :)

Good morning, Lorie, Gloria, and the cheetah crew! :)

Lorie...sorry you're up so early at a time when you could use all the rest you can get. Feel better soon!

Gloria...thanks for the fishing explanation! :) That must be tough to steer the boat with only a pole. Did DH come home with any big catches?...Oh yeah, the cell phone was irritating and LOUD...You did mention that situation before. What a good heart tutoring for free. Rackin' up good karma there!...Happy bidding today!

I have not yet decided on a rotation to follow instead of TT, so for this week, I am just going w/ whatever my mood fancies. Wow. I don't think I've ever used the word "fancies." :p :7

Have an awesome day, everyone! :)

Morning Glories!:)

Lorie: Hope the tummy feels better so that you can aleast get some OHMS goin' today. ;)

Gloria: Good luck bidding on that nano. I hope you win!:)

Cathy: Can't wait to hear what your mood FANCIES today. :7

DH and I both bowled well last night. Unfortunately the team we bowled against bowled BETTER so we only won 1 game. PHBBBT! We are officially in the toilet in that league. Oh joy!:p

DS had a good potty day y'day. While at home (and awake) he used the potty when he had to pee and never had an accident. Ofcourse we have him running around bottomless so it's easier but that's okay with me! Then last night while he was at DH's cousin's house he peed in the potty twice for them! WOO HOO! Overnight he left me a rather large, messy gift of pee and poop (he hadn't pooped in 2 days and certainly made up for it last night!). I was considering putting him to bed in regular underwear to see what happens but after last night, that idea is out the window for right now. I think it's too early yet...

Today's work out will be the first weight work out of stage 2 Afternburn. I'm excited to try it when I get home from work.

Y'day I did my HIIT on the TM afterall (running hills with a little speed) and then ran a steady state mile in 9:52. I was happy. I didn't have the time to do the longer ss run I had hoped for but the mile made me happy. It was not the most comfortable run but I was able to do it so things must be getting better for me.

BB after work!

Good morning Cheetahs -

I just finished a quick 30 minute walk outside, it was so nice out, but I was so tired I didn't get moving too early. I will walk again at lunch and do upper body and Turbo Kick tonight after work. I received my CC workouts yesterday that I ordered, but I can get my laptop to read them to download on my iPod - talk about frustration. I emailed Sean so hopefully he will be able to help.

Lorie - Gosh! I hope you feel better soon, it's not fun being sick anytime, but in the summer - ahhh, take care!

Gloria - Good luck with your eBay purchase, hope you get it.

Wendy - Great workout girl! How old is your son? I didn't get DS potty trained until 3-1/2 or 4. He had the daytime down, but we ended up buying an alarm that went off when he wet at night. That still took a while, but he mastered it - hang in there. Sometime they sleep so sound there body can't wake them up.

Cathy - Good luck with whatever workout you choose.

Have a super day everyone!
Marcia.

Marcia: DS turned 3 in May. We'd been trying to get him interested in the potty on and off since 2 1/2 years old. I'm just glad he's finally into it. He will fight if you make him "try to go" but when left on his own, he's pretty good about remembering to stop what he's doing and go pee on the potty if need be. He's even pooped in it once aleady and he only started doing this on Saturday!:)

That's great progress for just starting - hang in there. We also live in the country so we started him peeing outside  like the 'big guys' do sometimes and he was all over that! Imagine! Hopefully you will find soon what works for him and he'll catch right on.

Marcia.

Carole – By the way – I LOVED the photo! Too cool. It looks almost as if there’s a fireball in the woods (which is all too common here in California!)

Wendi – Glad your eating is better! You’re doing well with your workouts! Congrats to DSO who held his own with BC! Wow! Oooh, I hope you get to Cathe’s for a step class! That would be too cool!!

Lorie – Oh, I would love to go dress shopping with you!! That would be fun! Hope your tummy is feeling better! It’s not fun being sick.

Kath – I always need a massage :+ Thanks for the suggestion! That tri does sound like a lot of fun. I’m seriously considering it. I’m thinking I’d do the 5 mile kayak, the 72 mile bike around (around Lake Tahoe – always wanted to do that), and then the 10k. What a good time!

Gloria – Glad I could help. I love getting on my bike and going! Do you go off road at all? I miss my mountain bike (which is even older than my road bike and needs some work – I haven’t had it in for a tune up in ages). It’s just funny to hear about hatching big flies. Around here, that’s considered a “bad” thing. :p Big fish, now, that’s another story! A River Runs Through It is one of my favorite movies. I adore Brad Pitt… YUM!

Cathy – Have fun fancying! :p Sometimes doing whatever strikes you at the moment is a good thing. Enjoy it!

Wendy – Good job to Joey and the potty!! Yeah! Glad you’re getting better on the treadmill again!

Marcia – glad you had a nice walk. Maybe I’ll take Jimmy for a long walk this morning – that might work! Thanks for the idea!

Thanks to Marcia’s post, I’m thinking of taking Jimmy for a nice long walk this morning. I can walk. My back is still bothering me – it bothers me when I lean over, but I can stand all day or even twist about, with no pain. But the minute I try to pick up something off the floor or lean over to sit down OUCH! – weird. I haven’t a clue what I did. Could be about anything. I’ll let you know how it goes. I hate not being 100%. I’m not patient about healing. Last night on the news I heard that there are 840 fires burning around the state – now that includes the little grass fires, etc, that will be put out easily, but still!

Good morning cheetahs. I had a frustrating tiring day yesterday (dealing with parking issues at work which I wont bore you with)
Had a very busy night but I prefer it that way. Had last nite off but I slept poorly. DH woke me up at 2330 first (thought I was working) and then at 0330 in the morning the alarm went off for the apartment building with loud flashing lights that would wake the dead. Someone pulled the fire alarm as a hoax I guess or it was something gone haywire. Anyway, I feel pretty draggy this morning and tonight it's back to work (hopefully I can get in the parking garage... but we wont go there x( )

Yesterday after my nap I did get in a good TM run with iTread#24 60 min run intervals and later was L&G.

Lorie- poor sick cheetah!! Hope you feel better soon and glad to hear you'll be taking it easy today.

Gloria- good luck on your hopeful iPod puchase? Is it the 8?

Cathy- Have fun with whatever strikes your fancy!

Wendy- Awww... that's just not right! When you're both bowling well it should go with a win too!!! But you're having fun and that's what is most important. Best of luck on your new stage of AB today. Great job on the TM yesterday!!!!!

Marcia- How frustrating you can't use your CC workouts... hope you can resolve the problem!
Ready for your inaugural Turbokick class Thurs?

Christine- How is your air quality with all those fires? Sorry to hear your back is giving your problems... sure hope it is not serious! I didn't know there was such a thing as a triathlon with kayaking instead of swimming... I'd really go for that!! Love to kayak... not really into swimming tho.

Sorry I'm not up to going back to catch up on posts from yest.
For today it'll be ASJ and PP UB x 2.

Shelly

Good morning cheetahs

Lorie...sorry about the stomach bug and cold...:(..sending healing vibes.

Cathy...hope you have a nice workout, whatever you seem to fancy...:)

Kath...thanks re the picture. We seems to be surrounded by fires, but so far none real close, but we do get the smoke and ash. I am not much of a chocolate fan either or anything sweet really.

Gloria..we had another red sun last night! I think she is the first time we have had smoke for this long. So you got some DOMS from HSC? Good job on the 5 mile run Sat and your walk yesterday.

Wendy...This was my 1st time doing Upper+ , I have already done Kenpo+ and Abs/core+ and really like them! Upper+ was fun, and I will really like it once I get the exercises down. Sorry you only won on bowling game last night.

Christine...Thanks re my pic. There was another red sun last night, it is just eeire...I am sure inhaling the smoke is NOT great for you. I was telling my friends it was probably like running in the smog! It seems to get smokier in the afternoon. I have not seen this many fires around here ever that I can think of. I did try out Abs/core+ and Kenpo+ already. I really like them, as you know I like new exercises as shocking the body is always good! I hope your low back is better today. There are some stretches you can do, like the plough from yoga. I will probably pass on the Tri, but it does sound fun! Have a nice walk with Jimmy.

Shelly...that is awful about someone pulling that fire alarm for a hoax!! I hope you can catch up on your sleep. Enjoy your workout.

Jackie...thanks re my pic, the smoke does make for interesting sunsets. I always seem to have to do cardio everyday, and I did enjoy the new stuff in Upper +. I think I did well on the blackberry vines, I used a pick ax, so hopefully got them out by the root!! Good job with the Gym styles, those are probably my favorite Cathe weights.

I am doing legwork, Interval+ and abs/core+.

Have a good day...:)

Good morning :)

Carole: Enjoy your workout. Are you going on the RT?

Christine: Don't let that back ache linger. I know us girls think we are so much tougher but don't risk further injury. I know I sound all tough-- I'd be like you :) Enjoy your walk maybe it will loosen things up for you.

Jackie: I like gym styles as well.

Gloria: Good luck on winning the Ipod.

Cathy: Hope what every fantasy--er wait whatever you fancy-- grr nevermind LOL :)

Shelly: Hope the parking thing works out for ya. And get some sleep :)

I ran 4miles today in 31:42 YAY me. In the rain too. It started in the middle of my run and I was speedy and didn't want to stop :) I also worked my chest and abs to coremax.

Off to the shower after I finish my recovery drink.

Back again. Worked up a very nice sweat with ASJ and went very heavy on the PP... quite tired now and ready to get in a good nap to make up for some lost sleep.

Carole- forgot to say that I did eye your pic yesterday... very pretty. I feel so bad for you and Christine dealing with all the smoke from those fires, pretty sunsets or no!! Sounds like you are really enjoying the p90x+ series so far.

Kath- fabulous run there speedy cheetah!!!

nighty nite!
Shelly

Shelly – Sorry you had so many issues with parking. Ick! Hope you get some sleep today. Good job on ASJ!!! The air quality is “Moderate” today, so I figured a walk was worth the risk. I’m hoping the back is not serious either. Thanks! Enjoy PP UBx2!

Carole – I know the lungs do clear out. Our bodies are pretty adaptive that way. The fires are insane! I hope they clear up soon. I do like the + workouts. They’re fun. I’m just being careful with the ole back. No need to push it.

Kath – Oh, if the back problem goes on too long, I’ll see the doc (I’ll have to – I’m surrounded by doctors and sons and daughters of doctors :+). But thank you – I agree not to risk further injury. Good job on the run! That’s great!

Well, Jimmy and I walked 4.5 miles today. We did one of my running loops. I figured I’d get some exercise and I do think that we heal better when the blood is circulating – as long as it’s not aggravating the injury. Jimmy enjoyed it, as did I. It was a nice change of pace.

hi friends!

Well, considering my post Sunday was gloom and doom of last week's issues/sickness, I feel much better! BUT i am having a time of it with this smoke. Most of California is on fire! And we're expected to have more lighting by the end of the week! Oh please have mercy on us! YIKES. I had to run on the treadmill today but atleast I have a home and treadmill to do that in. I feel for anyone losing their home/property/pets to the fires. I even have to use the air conditioning in the car to limit my exposure to the smoke. I used my inhaler 2X yesterday which is not good. Anyway, ok have to get a quick shower and off to work. I'll read up and post personals during some breaks today.

Until later Cheetahs...

POSH

Hey Girls!

Just a fly by post for now. I'll be back later to do personals.

I just got The Kettlebell Goddess work out today. Now I have to choose between doing that or AB stage 2 work out A. I can do either since it's the first weight work out of the week. You all know how decisive I am!:p :7

BB when I'm done!:)

Good afternoon Cheetahs!

Wendy - Think the X was irritating my shoulder and neck with all of the pull ups and push ups. Felt like overuse. Decided not to take a chance. I don't know what I'll do next week. Sounds like you and DH are getting better at bowling. Glad potty training is going well.

Christine - That tri sounds like so much fun! I've been kayaking twice and really loved it. Do you think you need to see a doc for your back? Hope it feels better.

Wendi - Hope things slow down a bit for you. Did boss make it back to work?

Lorie - I haven't been interested in any of the new iTreads either. I still have some that I haven't done yet. Have to remember to download to my Zen. Sorry that bug got you down. Feel better. ((((HUGS))))

Gloria - Are you able to fall asleep right away at bedtime when you take a nap? Wish I could. Did DH get the biggest catch? Good luck with the Nano!

Cathy - How much longer do you have on the Resolutions package? I didn't renew because of the price. What did your mood fancy today? LOL!!

Marcia - Hope you get your CC on your iPod.

Shelly - Sorry you didn't sleep well. Bet that fire alarm going off scared you. My alarm went off one night. The noise is enough by itself but then you have to wonder what caused the alarm to go off. Thankfully a door wasn't shut all the way and it popped open. Hope tonight is better for you.

Carole - UB+ is so much better when you know what to expect. My pull up bar messed up the paint on my door frame. Thought I had enough cushion between the bar and the door but no. You don't eat blackberries, huh? Enjoy your workout today.

Kath - Great time on that 4 mile run!

Posh - Glad you're feeling better. Yes, be careful in the smoke. So sorry for those losing their homes.

Hip ached all last night. Think it's coming from increasing my incline and running some mini hills Saturday. Feels fine during the day. Today's workout was iTread #10 20 minutes. Ran 2 miles but kept the incline at 0. Did GS Back and about 15 minutes of foam rolling. I'll see if that helps tonight.

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!

Jackie

It's the first time I've ever "placed" in a race! I am sooooo excited!!! They have me time at 28:33 which is a complete surprise to me but it's totally possible that I mis-read the clock in my exhuastion! :p

I feel like a "real" runner now! :+ :7 :+ :7

Afternoon, cheetahs-- :) :) :)

Marcia - are you running again even though you won't be doing the race?

Christine - I think I am experiencing a little rebellion from regimented schedules and routines. This is nice...Sorry you still have some back woes. Glad the walk was agreeable for you & the Jimster. 840 fires??? That is an unbelievable number. Last night, I was watching a show on children with psychic powers, and there was a little girl on there who has premonitions of major natural disasters. She had premonitions before the tsunami and Katrina.

Shelly - sheesh! What a day you had. That happened to me on one of my trips to New Orleans. Not fun. I was dog sick at the time. But of course, it's worse when you have to work the next day!...Hope tonight's a smoother night.

Carole - any pics of last night's sunset? Have you always done cardio daily?

Posh - Glad to hear things are better. But man, I hope those fires get under control ASAP. It's scary and sad.

Jackie - I bought the Resolutions package right before the price went up...I still haven't figured out what my fancy is for today. :7 Hope the conservative approach keeps the hip pain in check. It really *is* a beautiful day here. :)

Kath - great job on your run. Give yourself a pat for that one!

Wendy - big congrats on breaking the top 10! What an ego boost! Great going.

As mentioned to Jackie, I still haven't decided on my workout yet. Will check out the cabinet and see what calls to me.

Have a great night, all!

HI Cheetahs!

Wendy- you are a real runner!!!! and you were before this race :7

Shelly- I am sorry about the interrupted sleep and the parking issues. Sleep is such an under rated necessity. We like our rest around here.

Christine, Thomassina and Carole- I am praying for the fires in CA to be extinguished with no more damage. (((hugs to all our California friends)))

Kath- the kid your spoke about who got drafted in your area is well known around here. He was DS friend's room mate at prep school. You ran fasttoday lady!!! How are the party plans going?

Lorie- way to go on doing NROL4W yesterday and cardio. I did that too. And today I only golfed. I am officially done with stage 3 now.

Hi Jackie, Gloria and Cathy :)
