Good morning cheetahs

It's very overcast and threatening to rain but nothing yet so I'll get out there soon for a short easy 4 mile run

Had a nice shopping day yesterday with DH. We had lunch at Panera Bread and I had never been there before (none in Az) it was quite a pleasant surprise.... very yummy! several Vegetarian options which is unusual for a restaurant. Anyway, got back too late to get into painting so that will definitely be on the agenda for today. I did however end up doing 4DS lower body circuit which uses bootcamp... woohooo!
Cathy- Marathons are addictive indeed! You haven't even completed your first and are already thinking about the next one LOL

There are few better highs IMHO then crossing that finish line. You feel like there is nothing you can't accomplish! WOW about the chaperoning job in England, etc!!! Great opportunity... is it a for sure thing? I'm sure with careful attention/foam rolling your achilles/hamstring issues will be minor or nonexistant. It's hard not to get nervous at this stage over any aches or twinges that come up!
Gloria- Great to see you posting again and that things are returning more or less back to normal for you! Did you have a good run yesterday?
We are indeed finally getting some things accomplished around our new house but actually, compared to in the past we are moving pretty slowly!
I think we are both rather burned out from all the activities so far this year!
Wendy- I know the conventional wisdom is to not race in new shoes, but this is a model you are already comfortable with and you definitely know what size is right for you so I say go for it. Wear some really good socks! I once raced a 10k in shoes I had only worn twice before but they felt so good I did it anyway....no problems! Good luck today on your 15 miler... I'll be going for 16-17 tomorrow. I like your training plan for your Mary in March BTW. I know you want to stay local but you may want to consider at least travelling to Calif. and joining other cheetahs in Napa. I was visiting the website and it would make a Great first mary!!
Nice, gentle and downhill for the most part! I didn't realize that the LBI race didn't start until 1030... I may be able to drag DH out of bed afterall.
Carole- LOL about being a bellyflop fan.... ouch! As I told Wendy I visited that Napa marathon website yest. Oh my! What a nice looking course!!!! I am curious too if you have a time goal or just want to finish and have fun. Did you enjoy your Amy KB day? I think you would love Rumble BTW.
Dallas- I didn't realize you weren't training with TNT anymore. I'm in a position where I have to run alone also... no running buddies available I'm afraid. DH always talks about going with my on a bike, but that's all it ever is... talk!

Anway, it's pretty easy to get pepper spray.. type it in as a search and you are inundated with options! The Az TNT race is probably PF Changs marathon in Phoenix in Jan. That was my first full mary and a good one (rocknroll) I remember that TNT was a strong presence there... those distinctive purple vests were everywhere!
Christine- I can see what you mean about biking the hills versus running, but I'd still rather run up one anyway

You do have a point about the downhills tho... you are still workin the legs on the downhill with running. On a bike it's pretty much a total rest

Sounds like you had a very nice day yesterday. Enjoy the hike with DH and Jimmy? How long did you go for?
Jackie- I'm off til Tuesday when I go in for computer training for an 8 hr day and then I start nites on Wednesday

Great job on that 7.5 miler yest!!! I'd say you are getting back into good running shape and that HM in Dec should be a breeze for ya!
Linda- AW.... it sure did sound like Pick on Linda day! I'm sorry your family was putting a guilt trip on ya for your running. I like Cathy's advice about telling them to come with you!!!

My DH would love it I'm sure if I cut back on the running/workouts, but he knows better then to say so so he keeps his mouth shut! Hey, we're here for the support you need!!!!! You do ALOT for your family I have no doubt and you need this for you
I think that about catches me up cheetahpals. Time to get movin..
