Hey Cheetahs - I have a question for you educated running chicas.

I know that generally speaking, when you run, you burn about 100 calories per mile, so if you run a 10 minute mile, you burn about 100 calories in 10 minutes. What about if you're doing something like a Cardio Coach, with lots of hills and sprints. Do you suppose you still burn those 100 calories, or would you burn more, because you're working harder? Any input would be welcome. I'm in awe of you guys!

Hi Shelley.

I don't know this for a fact but I'd be willing to bet that when you add resistance like a hill to your run that your calorie burn would go up a bit.

Hi Shelley! I am certain running uphill, or on an incline with your TM that you would burn more calories. You could always get a Heart Rate monitor that you plug in all your data (height, weight, age) into and the calorie count is very close IMO...:)
