Cathlete
Good morning, cheetahs-

Didn't get a chance to check back in last night. I ran 6 miles yesterday after work -- and boy, did I feel Thursday's B&G on that run. Today, it'll be a run + GS BSB but not until later on. I have a paper to write (due at 5 pm), tests to grade, cleaning, and shopping on my agenda. (I plan to start AND finish my x-mas shopping this weekend!) Now I'm going to go catch up with yesterday's posts and will be back shortly for personals.

-cathy :)

Sunny :: good luck in the 5K today!! :) We’ll want to hear how great you did.

Wendy :: no plans to increase mileage at this point. :) Hope you had a blast with the girls’ night out! Good deal with the P90X.

Laura :: I don’t know anything about P90X, but I am intrigued by all the buzz.

LD :: I’m not sure about your rotation question, either. My inexperienced guess would be that it’s OK to double up. Yes, I run outside. I am about 15 minutes outside of Philly. Aren't you close?

Carole :: I meant to ask...how's John doing?

Jess :: have fun shopping with your mom. Congrats to her on her weight loss…that’s terrific! Has she done it just with pilates?

Elaine :: My heart goes out to you…will be thinking of you & your family during the holiday season…it will be rough, for sure, in the absence of his larger-than-life personality… But I am just amazed by what a grounded and positive perspective you have in the face of your grief…you are one tough cheetah!!… I’m also more focused on my running right now than the new DVDs…it seems crazy since I was so anxious to get them…but I just haven’t managed to fit them in…I really should incorporate SM more.

Judy :: thanks, I did. It was gorgeous. Sixty degrees. I had to laugh because in the middle of my run, an obviously-new-to-running girl popped out on the sidewalk a little bit ahead of me – she had on sweatpants and a hooded sweatshirt. She must've been dying. Of course, she started sprinting like a madwoman at first but had to keep stopping. When I (aka Mrs. Slowski) was about to pass her, she peeked over her shoulder and took off like a shot again. Eventually, she had to just walk the whole time. Pacing, my dear, pacing! It was totally a tortoise and the hare moment. Good job tackling those hills! They were beatin’ my butt yesterday, too (thanks to B&G.)

Shelly :: the legs were pretty fatigued on yesterday’s run…I’m glad to hear that you can get such great results without necessarily following a specific rotation. Did I miss something? How come you were fasting?

Christine :: yikes! Scary accident with the horse! Well, I know you have to wait 7-10 days for official results, but the way I read the comments, it sounds like the lumps are being downplayed or are not a major cause of concern. That’s good! YAY! Let’s all think positive!! … I don’t have anything special planned for T-giving with my students. We have half days Mon and Tues for parent conferences, and then the kids are off on Wed (we have all-day conferences), so they have another ridiculously short week. Hope the crud is on its way out & you’re feeling back to your ol’ self again soon. With all the stress you've been under, no wonder it gotcha.

Susan :: my ears are pinned back…talk away! Great workouts. Sorry your post vanished…hate when the computer does evil things like that!

Hi to everyone else! Will BBL.
cathy :)

PS...Would any of you cheetahs be interested in exchanging holiday cards? If so, you could PM me with your mailing address and I could PM/email the master list to anyone interested. Whaddya think?

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...I know the run after B&G feeling...yeow!! John is doing as well as can be expected. My sister is going back to Santa Clara today to try and get John scheduled for his hopefully last surgery. The bone graph they first put in got infected with staph and had to be removed. So he needs to have the graph redone, and they are hoping before X-mas. Thank you for asking...I think the X-mas cards for cheetahs would be fun as I rarely send any to anyone else..:)

I am doing Cardio Fusion and maybe Jari's Slim & Lean today...if I survive I'll be back for personals....

Have a great day...:)

Good morning everyone! My schedule has flipflopped over the past few days. It all started on the day that I had my doctor's appt, mammogram, bloodwork, etc. I worked out Thursday night in stead of morning. I did BodyMax2 "as is" for the first time. I loved it. Yesterday...I didn't do anything. I am planning on doing a long run a little later today. I "plan" on 9 or 10 miles, but we will see...

Cathy - Good job on the six miles yesterday! I have had the "wonderful" experience of running with the DOMS from B&G! }( Ouch! Have fun with the shopping
and BSB and run today! I like the idea of the holiday cards! That would be cool!

Shelley - I had my yearly bloodwork done this week too. Have fun with the race! That sounds great! Good luck! (oh and good luck with your bloodwork results, too!)

Christine - I am glad your thyroid measurements are okay. I hope the biopsy brings about more good news! Hopefully, you will kick this soon and be feeling like your old self again!

Wendy - I know what you mean about feeling like a slug when you don't workout! I didn't do anything yesterday, either. We then went to dinner with friends last night.....and that made me feel even more sluggish! Blah. But....we will needed the rest day!!! Gotta think of it like that! I sure hope your knee gets better soon!

Susan - I did the same thing with my post again at work yesterday! I have been doing pretty good about not losing them, too!! So after I lost it, there was no way I could type another one (we were busy), so I didn't checkin yesterday. Only 100 M&M's? You did better than me!!!! I had a TON of M&M's! Have you ever tried the dark chocolate M&M's? They are wonderful!

Judy - Great job on the six miles yesterday! I plan on running outside with hills today. If I ever get the gumption to get up out of my computer chair and go do it!!

Elaine - I am sure that was really a painful situation for you when your mother left with the circumstances being as they were. The holiday season is going to be rough, I know. It is already effecting me tremendously. This will be my first holiday season since my father passed away. It is really good that you will still be having your SIL come to dinner. Being together will be a good thing.

Jess - HOpe you and your mom had fun! I am taking my youngest daughter shopping today. Her husband and my husband (her SD) are going to a football game today, so we are going to dinner and to shop! Yay! Tomorrow, my DH is going deer hunting with his dad, so my oldest daughter and I are going to go shopping! Did your DH get a deer yesterday??

Carole - Hope you enjoy Cardio Fusion today and hope you enjoyed your run and stretch yesterday!

LD - I have been on a candy binge, too! I agree with Wendy - you will work it off in now time!

Laura - I did a P90X rotation with the weight workouts a couple of years ago and used the treadmill and step workouts for my cardio. but I still used the "weights" as they used them in the rotation. I had pretty good results. I liked doing that better than using their cardio.

Hi to everyone that I may have missed and that checks in later today!

I will be back sometime today!! Hope everyone has a great day!

Linda

Quick checkin from a busy cheetah!! Having a blast w/ my Mom here!! Busy day y'day, it ended up being a rest day (well, sort of!) just because I didn't have time to squeeze in a workout in the afternoon!! We had fun shopping last night- I got a cute pair jeans & an adorable jean/ white skirt (for $6!) at Maurices last night. Cathy ~ Mom has lost her weight mainly from pilates. She still eats what she calls her *junk*- she can't give up chips, popcorn, or cookies but she has cut back on it. She's so funny!! And she bought the *same* jeans that I did last night but she got a size 9/10 so she was happy!

BUT, Kiersten started complaining of a sore throat & by the time we got home she was running a temp. I hope it isn't strep, we're taking her in to the Dr. soon. So much for more shopping & plans for the day!!!

I got up to do Step Blast & did the abs from SJP. I love Step Blast, it is just fun now that I have all of the steps down!

I made pumpkin pancakes & am off to shower now! Greg's out deer hunting again all day, no luck y'day. He didn't even see any deer to shoot at! I'm glad that Mom's here to help w/ the kids, it will make it much easier to take Kiersten to the Dr. & pick up meds if I need to.

Have a great Saturday!!

Good Morning:) It's so mild here today, I've got clothes on the line and heard someone's lawnmower going this morning, I'll enjoy it while it lasts.:) Did B&G again yesterday, my DOMS isn't as intense as the first time but I felt it doing the combos from LowMax this a.m. I finished with 45 minutes yoga and am just getting ready to take Marley and Faith for their music lessons (electric guitar and piano respectively). Not sure what the rest of the day will hold, I'll take 'er as she comes!!

Cathy, I like the idea of Christmas cards, I'm like Carole, I don't send a lot out but my phone bill for December is always high. You are very ambitious to get your shopping done in a weekend. I've been doing it in dribs and drabs but want to get it done in the next few weeks. It's the stocking stuffers that keep me shopping to the end, I love that stuff! Good luck with your paper writing!!

Carole, enjoy Cardio Fusion, I'm anxiously awaiting it's release so that I can buy it, I hate not having the complete Cathe collection}( ;-) My bananas turned into banana oatmeal muffins, at the last minute I modified the recipe and threw in 3 tbsps of cocoa. Nice to get my potassium, fibre and chocolate all in one bite:9 :D

Linda, hope you have a good run. Sounds like your a flexible Cheetah managing to fitting it all in even when the schedule goes to pot!:)

Jess, StepBlast really is a BLAST in so many ways. I saw the video for 'Video Killed the Radio Star' yesterday and wanted to get up and do the '2-claps-on-the-corner' combo in the middle of it:7

I'd better get on with my day the troops here are getting restless and want my attention:)

Take Care
Laurie:)

Good morning cheetahs!

I am going to do Butts and Gutts this morning. I love that workout! I need to take a break from cardio today. I have done probably too much this week. My knees are sore today. I am officially starting my clean eating today, I swear I am. It is an absloute must before I gain 5 lbs. I have such a high metabolism that I take advantage of that eat too much food.

I am so glad the kids are off for a week. I am so tired of being in the car and going here there and everywhere. I am looking for some down time. I will probably be ready to strangle the darlings though, by say Tuesday. This time of year really gets so hectic. I am feeling a little sad about this xmas coming. I am afraid that it may be the last one for my mom. She has stage 3 lung cancer and just started chemo last Friday. I don't think we will be in Illinois for the holidays either due to my hubbys work. I am just trying to call her a lot and the girls are sending her cards and baked stuff. Anyway, I am really going to try not to get in a funk over the holidays. It is so important for children to have a magical christmas.

Now for some personals. Hopefully I will not lose them again

Cathy,
I love the idea of christmas cards! I never send them, but for you cheetahs, definitley! You have had some awesome workouts this week. I don't know how you get all of it in while working full time. I am always amazed how much we can all get in on a day with a little organization. Have you tried all the Cathe workouts? Which ones are your fave. I love the Cardio Fusion and Butts and Gutts. I don't usually start my xmas shopping until a couple weeks until xmas. I am really bad about that. I always get it done though and I never have that much to do. Have a great upper body day!

Carole, I love CF. I did the 80 minute one the other day and it was a sweat fest. I have sweat flying all over my newly cleaned mirrors:) How do you like SLim and Lean? I have it and have not tried it yet. Is it pretty challening?

Linda, I LOVE milk chocolate. I could go with dark chocolate forever. I am a m&m fanatic. They had the holiday ones on sale yesterday and target and of course I needed to buy 6 bags of them(LOL)! I definitley need to have someone hide them from me. I also love BM2. It is so much fun and there are some great pre-mixes too. Have a great run today!

Jess, I hope your daughter feels better. STrep is definitley going around here. I have been lucky with my girls so far, touch wood!
I bought a pair of jeans at Maurices this last summer and I love them. They were 12 bucks. That is great that your mom also lost weight on the pilates dvd's. I will have to try that sometime. You mentioned recently that you gave up eating crap and eat a lot of fruit and healthy stuff. How did you do it? And, what did you do and did you do it to lose weight or just to be healthier?

You are making me look like a lazy mom. My kids had fruit cup and toast for breakfast. They would have loved to have pancakes. I consider my weekend to be days off from all the cooking. You are so much more energetic that I am. It is all the fruit you eat!

have a great day and I hope you daughter does not have strep.

Laure, sounds like you kids keep pretty busy. that is great that you have them in music classes. My mom was a piano teacher and still is and my dad used to teach guitar. I loved having music in the house all the time. I talked to my friend about my massage therapist and the advice she gave me, and apparently this lady does tend to act more as a doctor than just a therapist, but has TONS of experience and my friend said she is highly regarded in the medical community. I have to start questioning people more though and not take everything everyone says to be an absolute must. I think I will just try to add some protein here and there in my diet without becoming obsessed with the shakes. I am always suprised that she says I have knots in my back, because I do so much yoga and stretching. Anyway, thanks again for taking an interest. I will ask her more about the lactic acid comment, just to make sure I understand it more. Have a great day!

That is it for me now!

Cheers!
Susan

Good mornin' lovely cheetahs,

workout today-1st 5k race!!!

well what can i say, first it was so exhilarating!! i was very nervous yesterday and this morning prior to the race. i didn't even know how to put the chip on my shoe, lol. when i first started i just tried to remember advice given by dh and others, to just run my race. don't start out to fast and tire yourself. my goal was to run the whole time and just take in the experience. so it was kinda disheartening when everyone was passing me by even small children:) after a little while i got my groove and then i started passing folks! i saw my dh about half way thru cheering me on, it gave me such an extra boost!! once i hit the 3 mile mark i sped up and then when i saw the finish line i made my short legs go...lol. i think i completed it in about 33 mins. not exactly sure as the official results have not posted. one sour note my dh didn't remember to charge the digital camera last nightx( x( . so no pics to post right now. fortunately we had a throw away camera with a couple pics left so he got a couple pics with that camera. once i get them developed i will post! so the sad news, my first race is over, the good news my first race is over and i now can concentrate on creating some PR!!!

thanks for all of your thoughts, advice and genuine well wishes.
an extra special thanks to wendy for enabling me to join this check-in and the courage to sign up for my 1st 5k.

i am on cloud nine ladies. i truly feel like i've made a big accomplishment:) i have definitely been bitten by the bug and can't wait til the next time.}(

i hope you ladies are off enjoying your weekend!

Sunnydelite,
YAY!!!!!! I am so proud of you. You did it and you feel great and this will be something you will remember for a long time. You will be doing it again before you know it. It is true that you really have to just focus on getting through it and not being too competetive. Great Job!!! Now you can rest and enjoy all the endorphins.

Susan

YEAH SUNNY!!!! WAY TO GO!! Great time, too for a first race! I'm so happy for you! Nothing like that first race! *High Fives Sunny*

Quick note to say hello, then I'm off to run errands. Still no workout - woke up this morning feeling like I slept with a very heavy brick on my throat and my cold is still lingering, but that's okay. I'll get there soon. Got Vegan Planet, and I've got a great array of vegan recipes! It is a great book. I'm very excited. I'm making veggie chili tonight. Thanks for the well wishes. I'm excited to have a whole week with no doctor appointments and nothing to poke or prod at me! :+

Well, must be off as I have to get back before the OSU/UM games starts! That should be a good game. Although it will be N/A beer for me through this game. :p

Good afternoon cheetahs! I'm pleased to report that I finished my 11 mile race today and ran well.....meaning I ran it smart and didn't push it too much:7 The old leg is still feeling ok :7 I came in around 1:39 which is much better than I was anticipating! I actually was able to maintain a 9mn/ml pace. There were alot of people at this race! I even managed a 5th place in my age division which really surprised me!! My speed still isn't what it used to be but I'm getting there:7 :7 I thought about all you fantastic cheetahs and your support the whole way!!!!

Back for personals!

ShellyC

Personals Time!!!! :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 :7

Cathy- frantically busy as always....where do you find the time to do it all??? I was fasting the other day for my yearly bloodwork, all routine. This includes checking cholesterol and lipid level which is why I was fasting. I think your Christmas Card idea is a great one! If it's a go I'll PM you my mailing address.

Carole- Cardiofusion is a tushy kicker for sure!!!! Wait til you try the 80 min mix and match }( }( }( }( I sure hope your nephews bone grafting goes well for him this time. Having those setbacks like the infection can be so disheartening.

Linda- Hope you got in a good long run today! Up to 10 miles? That's great. Are you training for a half or full marathon?

Jess- It seems like you get one DD well and then another gets somethingx( x( Hope it turns out to be mild this time! Step Blast is a fun one! Lots of unique moves. I did this one ALOT when it first came out so much that I burned out on it and haven't done it in quite a while.

Laurie- B&G and then LowMax the following day.... you're legs will be talking to you girl!

Susan- My oh my you are courageous to be starting a clean eating program at the start of the holiday season! I am so very sorry to hear about your Mom!!! :( You sure have alot on your plate right now you poor dear cheetah! {{{{Hugs}}}}} to you.

SunnyD :7 :7 :7 :7 Congratulations to you on your splendid first 5k!!!!!! I knew you'd be jazzed!!!! You did a spectacular job with pacing yourself correctly!

Christine- I'm so happy for you that one burden has been lifted from you shoulders (the thyroid issues) That is true that even if the biopsy comes back as cancerous it is easily handled. However I really do feel it will be benign! wooohooo a whole week without doctors:7 It does sounds like you have a top notch medical coverage plan:) Hey, how does your DH feel about you going vegan?
I eat little meat and only eat it at all because it's too hard always eating separate meals from DH. Otherwise I'd be vegetarian in a heartbeat.... Not vegan though...I LOVE CHEESE way too much :p

Okay, enough chitchat....hello to anyone I've missed!!

ShellyC

Carole :: I take it CardioFusion is pretty tough? Hope your sister was able to schedule John’s surgery before Christmas. Will you be spending T-giving together?

Linda :: how was your run? How many miles did you wind up putting in?

Jess :: how did Kiersten make out at the doc’s? Poor thing. Glad you had fun shopping, though. Reading about the pumpkin pancakes is making my stomach growl!

Laurie :: we’re having fairly mild weather too. It was in the mid-50s today while I was out running. I love being able to wear shorts and a long sleeve tee in the middle of November! But it’s definitely atypical. I usually enjoy shopping for gifts, but folks on my list have requested gift cards, so it’s pretty simple this year. Plus, the group of friends I normally exchange with have agreed NOT to this year because we are going skiing in Colorado during x-mas week. So, I more or less finished today. I have my dad’s b-day gift still (he’s on the 26th) and my extended family “Pollyanna” gift. (It’s not a true Pollyanna—more of a swap but I’m going to try to get them to do a unisex swap this year. Have to wait until the clan gathers for t-giving to see if they’ll go for it.)

Susan :: how come your kids are off for a week? I’m sorry for what you’re going through with your mom. Is there any way that you can get out there even if just for a few days by yourself—perhaps after Christmas? No, of the new workouts, I’ve only done B&G and I love that one. I’d like to tackle one of the other ones tomorrow, though. Not sure which one. I like to play by ear.

Sunny :: congrats on finishing your first 5K!! Well done!!! :) I smiled when I read about you seeing the finish line and making your short legs go. :) What an energizing post – you’re definitely on a high!!

Christine :: have fun watching the game. I hope your throat feels better. Personally, I'm a big fan of Corona Light to soothe a sore throat (my theory is that the citrus in the lime has healing powers)...But I see you're doing non-alcoholic. :( Well, don’t do any screaming at the TV. :)

Shelly :: congrats on your 5th place finish…WTG!! Great pace. And that's with an injury!! It does sound like folks are interested in a holiday card exchange (not sure all of us celebrate x-mas) – and I have one address already -- so send yours when you get a chance. I’ll put the list together.

So, any cheetahs up for that card exchange, PM me your mailing address when you get a chance, and let me know if you celebrate something other than Christmas.

OK, I’m gonna grab some grub and then do some cleaning.

Have a great night~
Cathy

I'm back:) Having a really good day I'd say! Went shopping with 17 y.o. Elizabeth and got her a winter coat and crossed a lot of items off of my other 2 daughter's Christmas lists. I did something today that I'm somewhat nervous and excited about. I asked someone who I'm interested in out for coffee next week and he said YES!:) I dated for a few years after my husband died but felt very strongly that the energy it took to start a relationship was much better spent on the Girls so it's been almost 7 year since I've dated (how pathetic is that?). Well Ladies I haven't met a man (that was available) who interested me in YEARS. I met this fellow in August and liked him right away and it has developed into a crush. I just happened to run into him today when I was shopping and just before we ended out chat I asked him. I feel so girly about this and am loving the feeling of it. The Girls were my sole focus for years and now they have full social lives and I'm spending a lot of weekend evenings alone. I know it's only coffee but I would really like to date this guy, he's attractive, tall, unattached, funny, interesting AND he has ALL of his hair:+ Did I mention that I'm very excited!!!:7 :7

Susan, I didn't grow up with music in the house and just love it when the Girls practise and play. Faith is so cute, in the morning she goes straight to the piano and plays for a few minutes to make her transition into the day, I really enjoy that. Your massage therapist sounds like a very interesting lady. I have met some really eccentric and knowledgable therapists over the years and some with amazingly intuitive touch. I hope you continue to mend with your persistant sciatica.:)

Sunny, WOO HOO!!! Way to go, your exictement is contagious and I'm so happy and pumped for you!! The support on this thread is invaluable and never ceases to lift my spirits! Congratulations on your achievement!

Christine, I wish you were feeling better, nice that you're sounding chipper in your post though:) Enjoy your chili, I betcha it'll be delish. I'm cooking your recipes tomorrow, can't wait:9 :9 Thanks again for posting them.

Shelly, 5th in your division??? That's awesome but you are a Cheetah through and through so I'm not surpised your performance was stellar even with a recently recovered groin injury. You Rock Girl!! Yes, my legs are chatting to me today but I love what they're saying }( :7

Okay my tummy is saying it's supper time. I'm going to be smiling all week thinking about my coffee with Glen, I'm soooo excited (oops, now I'm repeating myself):)

Take Care
Laurie:)

catching up on personals...

Sunny!!!! http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_30_125.gif[/img] on your 5K....you deserve to be on cloud nine!!!!

Elaine....my heart goes out to you for Thanksgiving. I can remember the emptiness after my Dad died. And how lucky I was to get the job of making the mashed potatoes now!! I know your brother was a great guy and the memories will always be there for you...:)..sounds like your taper is going well. My fav of the new ones....tough question as 3 have reminded me how I love circuits and one has reminded me with some DOMS how I love legwork....:)... I also need to do more stretching!

Judy..I am glad you are able to follow ETL loosely. I do use occasional dairy as the soy cheese I like has casein (a milk protein) in it. Good job on the hills yesterday.

Shelly....well sweetie...I think you are pretty Super yourself running an 11 mile race today!!! Good job on 5th place! Not bad with your adductor strain!!! Thanks...I do hope John's surgery goes well too.

Christine...sorry about the cold. If you can get to a Health food store pick up some Colloidal silver (a natural antibiotic). Awesome you got Vegan Planet....the chipotle mashed potatoes are wonderful...:)...I am glad the biopsy wasn't too bad during. I can even see that cartoon character!! Enjoy your Vegan Chili.

Wendy...so when do you get the borrowed P90X?????

Linda..yes it seems we did post together again! Good job with BM2...hope you get in your run.

Cathy...Cardio Fusion is tough...I only did about 32 min as I cut out the drill from Drillmax! As for T-Giving...I will see all my family for dessert at my sisters house. The sad thing is my family is not real supportive of my vegan/vegetarian way of eating so I will have dinner here with my DH and then go to my sisters for dessert...

Jess...way to go with SB...I hope Kiersten feels better...

Laurie...those muffins sound great! i think you will like Cardio Fusion...a date???.....that is wonderful Laurie!!! This guy sounds nice....I have always liked tall....I think you absolutely did the right thing in asking...:)...and I feel you might be a tad bit excited!!!!

Susan...I beleive I will feel Slim & Lean in the morning!!! I like it and cardio Fusion is alos fun.

So I did Slim & Lean before CF. Good workout, but she still reminds me of Barbie!...Then I just did CF until the Drillmax drills. It was a nice workout.

Oh my goodness... what a day. I don't even know where to start. First of all, I am sooooo thankful that my Mom was here today!!! I love her to pieces.

Second of all, we waited for an hour & a half at the Dr. for Kiersten who tested positive immediately for strep. :-( Poor kid, fever & tummy ache & just not feeling well. I'm almost glad now that Allison was sick last weekend as she's on an antibiotic so she shouldn't catch it. The Dr. told me if Hannah starts to run a temp to call in & she'll call her in a prescription too. UGH!!!!!

So.... we went to Goodwill because I had a whole bunch of toys/ clothes to drop off. I parked in the loading zone & had a guy there helping me get the stuff out of the back when a guy whipped out of his parking spot & RAN INTO MY NEW VAN!!!!!!! Oh my gosh, I hear my Mom yell, I think he's going to hit... I was standing in the back w/ the back door open & saw him hit the front bumper (he was backing out). I couldn't believe it. My Mom said she couldn't even think fast enough to hit the horn, but the guy didn't even turn around to look first if there was anyone behind him!! And then he proceeds to tell me that it's *my* fault because he didn't see me!!! Um.. I don't think so!! So I had to call the police dept to file a report & exchange insurance info, etc... in the cold!! The guy helping me unload saw the whole thing also & was on my side so that was good! So my poor dd is still sick, we're going to Wal*mart for her meds & she has to wait even longer.... We finally got it settled, she didn't issue a ticket since it was private property but now I must contact the insurance company & see what to do... it's nothing but a lot of scratched paint off of it, no dings but that can still be expensive to fix.

OK, so we get to Wal*mart & the medicine is still not ready!! And... it's their lunch break at 1:30 (it was 1:29) so we have to wait until 2 for them to get it ready. So... we go do some shopping while we're waiting & while I was paying for our stuff my Mom went to wait for the meds. I got the groceries & kids loaded in the car when she comes out & says it was $77 for her meds!!!!! Holy cow. I knew there was a mistake but wasn't going back in there because it was just a madhouse. So Mom says she'll take us to lunch (the kids were starving since it was about 2:15 by this point!). We had a nice lunch at Baker's Square. Poor Kiersten was shivering & feverish but she managed to eat a couple choc. chip pancakes, her favorite. So then we stopped at the video store to get a couple movies to watch & relax tonight!!!!!

Then I get her medicine out to give it to her & they did NOT add the water to it!! They're supposed to mix it when they dispense it. So I had to call the pharmacy & they told me to bring it in. NO way am I loading the kids back in the van for them to mix it. So.. I had to boil water & let it cool & then add the proper amount. I asked them about the cost of the meds & they said to bring in my insurance card & receipt & they will refund the overcharge. UGH!! I swear, I'm not leaving the house for the rest of the night.

OK, VERY sorry for the long vent. I feel better just getting that out. I am just thankful that no one was injured & everyone is ok now. Oh, and my BIL hit a deer on his way to work this morning!!! He is ok & he has a junker poor college kid car anyway so that is ok. My dh is still gone either hunting or taking care of the meat, we'll see when he gets home...

Off to watch Over the Hedge w/ the girls now. ;-) I feel like I need to do another workout to burn off some energy!!
