susan- you and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers. please continue to take care of yourself. i know it's not easy at all. just know you are "surrounded" by friends who care about you and what you are going thru.

well friends, i am so very happy to say i did the beginner yoga video. for those that remember, yoga is not my thing. however i was able to complete the stretches and felt it where i should. and all of a sudden it just clicked!! i don't think i will do this workout again because it was only 20 mins and about 10 of it was talking:( so afterwards i popped in yogax and did 30 mins!! for me that's a huge accomplishment. i definitely can see now how much yoga is a necessary part of your workout regime.

also, my weighted gloves arrived today..wooohooo!!!

Hi all -

Back from the conference. It was great actually and really reinforced my idea of what my company is all about. I really enjoyed it. I’m at home over lunch break and just got back from another long walk with Kimo and Jimmy. I’m afraid I’m really going to feel the plyo work in my calves! I hate sore calves! :p Need to get back to work, but wanted to stop back for a few personals…

Susan - HUGS!!! I, too, have been thinking of you and sending you strength. I honestly don’t think it’s a bad thing to “lose it” in front of the girls. They know an incredible sad thing happened - it’s okay for them to know that Mommy is very sad. But I do absolutely understand about tomorrow and Allyson’s birthday (it’s my niece Avery’s birthday to! She was born 5/5/05 at 5:55 PM. Weird). I too think it’s important for all of you. Take everything a day at a time, know that it will get easier but it may take a long time. And that all of us here in Cheetah land are thinking of you. I’m so sorry. Thanks so much for checking in.

Shelly - absolutely must have something to so with the name Carole! So many superwomen I know are named that. :+ I was reading that I should not run with Jimmy until he’s 18 months. I think that’s a bit extreme - Tuck and I were running 5/6 miles when he was 1. But I think I’ll wait until he’s a little older. Now it’s many long walks in a day. And yes, the non-TM cardio was killer! Probably the hardest 20 minutes I’ve ever done on a video tape - cardio wise. But I loved it. *wonders if she ought to check into mental hospital* Your run sounds incredibly tough! WOW! I hope you have fun! I KNOW you’ll do well, but I’m on my knees praying just in case. *winks*

Linda - I’m so glad I broke down and got BBC. It’s so up my alley! I love Barry too, but there were times when I had other ideas on where to put that dumbbell and none were too nice. }(

Okay - must get to the office. I did my job well - Jumping Jimmy is crashed at my feet. Enjoy ladies.

Can ya cheer up a cranky cheetah? I laid down and took an hour long nap after work as I was about to keel over from exhaustion. Well, I got up about an hour ago and *still* can't seem to talk myself into a work out. It's really tickin' me off. Unscheduled rest day irritate the bejeezus outta me! I'm anal about this, remember!? :p I mean, it's not like I would destroy the end of my BBC rotation by taking today off...I could just do today's work out tmrw and nix the Full Body work out but if I slug it I am going to feel like garbage for it. I know how I am. Maybe later I can talk myself into it...it's only 30 mins. I could even do it easily after DH gets home...

Christine...Oh girl, it's the Arms and Abs non-tm cardio that I quit half way through on earlier this week! Have fun!}(

Carole...Yeah I got in a real cat nap y'day-no more then 20 mins. It was just enough! I think I slept too long today though...ACK. Have fun with C&A!

Jackie...Journey into Power 2 is about 45 minutes long. When did you get Debbie's new series? I got one email about them and ordered them right away but I don't have them yet. You like them? Good to hear. I hope I do too!

Shelly...Sorry about your midnight accident! I have had many a nasty bruise on my thighs from running into the corner of my desk at work! :eek: x( ;( Nice race course girl! Holy cow! I got askeered just lookin' at the picture! LOL

Linda...I must admit that I was not thrilled with BBC at first but they've grown on me quite a bit. They are super tough work outs. I just had to get past their "flaws" and now that I have...I LOVE THEM!:)

Susan...((((HUGS)))) Your post made me tear up. You will be okay hon. It will get easier as time goes on. I lost my dad to cancer so I know how hard it is. It WILL get easier though. Your dad sounds like a wonderful man and I am sure you and he will help to get eachother through this. Ofcourse, your cheetahs are here for you too!:)
 
Thank you for the bday wishes!!! I've had an awesome but busy day!! I started it off right w/ Kickmax (50 min bootcamp premix, then added on the blasts again at the end!! }( ). Much better than the Kenpo that was on my schedule! ;-)

Greg is off early on Fridays anyway, so we picked up Allison from preschool & went for lunch at Red Lobster. I got the blackened salmon & veggies, but did split a piece of vanilla bean cheesecake w/ Greg & Allison. YUMMY! Then we went shopping- I got a couple tank tops & a cute shirt, and Allison picked out my bday gift. No big plans tonight, I decided to play in the musical. I hated to leave them high & dry & I'm really enjoying playing anyway. We're going to my best friend's house for a cookout for lunch. And then my Mom & cousin are coming to visit later tomorrow afternoon & we'll go to dinner & they're all coming to the play. Busy bday celebrating weekend! ;-)

Ok, off to spend some time w/ my family! Thanks again for the bday wishes!

Wendy :: I don’t mind the Budokon guy, either…hope you got rid o’ the cranky pants. Trust me (your sister in napping) -- I’ve been there – awakened from a nap too groggy to do anything. But being not so anal, I have no problems butchering up my rotation. *LOL* I *should* be more anal about these things – then maybe I’d be as buff as you!

Gayle :: enjoy your weekend of doing NOTHING (although the veggie garden sounds like work to me!) Oh, and I have to agree with Christine – 3:45 am sounds plain insane! ;) *LOL* Hope you guys had a good time on the trip today.

Jackie :: Whoops, I got the name wrong – it’s CIA 2705: Absolute K’boxing with Kimberly Spreen…Yes, bingo is for money :) but I think I’m gonna bag it tonight. Sometimes Friday calls for a quiet night in, and I think this is one of ‘em…Are the Siebers videos part of the Slim series?

Carole :: I never really use my Body Bar – it is really old – I used to do squats with it, but if I buy that CIA k’box video, I need some sort of stick/bar for it. And somehow I don’t think I can swing around the 18 lb. bar like some kind of kung fu master.

Sunny :: fingers are crossed for the YWCA position! So glad you’ve been turned onto yoga!…Yeah, we are totally out of control right now with new workouts and enabling one another. I can’t stop, and I don’t want to. *LOL* Have fun w/ the new gloves!!

Shelly :: YEOWCH! Sorry to hear about the stumble and the killer bruise…But I’m sure it won’t slow you down tomorrow!! Good luck! And thanks for posting the pic - no doubt you’re gonna tear up that course! … I’m thinkin’ I’m going to have to tie a couple of concrete blocks to your legs if I have any thoughts of keeping up with you at that June 5K. *LOL* I’ll just see ya at the finish, of course…*LOL* about bingo…I don’t go often, but when I do, my friends and I are always the youngest there. You’d think we could stamp those damned cards a little faster than the seniors, but nooo, they are SHARP!…With sunshine and mild temps in the forecast this weekend, running is definitely in the plan tomorrow and Sunday – distance TBD.

Linda :: Hmm, I think you should be able to sub for the cardio and still get the benefits of the X. It’s a very different approach from what I was doing before, so I’m looking at it as an opportunity to learn how my body responds to different things. Aside from the observations about weight or measurements or appearance, I do know that I have gotten stronger. I’ve upped my weights and I can do more reps of just about everything, so with that alone, I’m pleased with the program. For my goals, though, I’m thinking I need more legwork than the X offers…BTW, tell us more about Squeeze, please. :) Is it like Fluidity?

Susan :: Lots and lots of ((((HUGS)))). Same here--I’ve thought about you every day this week and have wondered how you’re holding up. I teared up envisioning the image of your dad on the lawn. Such a sad time for your family. I’m glad you did decide to go through with the party…I agree that Allyson needs to have her day. Hang in there, and know that we are all thinking of you.

I still don't know which workout I'm doing...it was a whirlwind day at school and I never really had a free moment to peek at the rotation. Will do that now and get my butt in gear.

My work out is *FINALLY* done!!!! BBC Shoulders and Back with 3 sets up chin-ups inserted.

I feel soooo much better! :+

It's off to the showers with me now.

Cathy: Trust me, there is good and bad in everything! I envy your ability not to worry about it if you miss a work out or if it has to be done out of order. I love my anal dedication to my work outs in general but it's not real life-friendly if you know what I mean. I may be "buff" but I'll bet I have more grey hairs then you cause I worry so much about getting it done!:p I wish I could be easier-going about it at times...Ah well...the grass is always greener on the other side, right? ;)



Okay, I'm off to finish the first HP book! I only have one and a half chapters left! I guess I'll be starting book 2 tonight if I'm still awake when the first is done! LOL :+

Shelly - Sorry work was tiring for you. Hope you got some rest so that you can kick butt tomorrow. That was quite a stumble. I'm glad you're ok except for a bruised leg and ego. Dinner sounds delicious. I have no local friends who are into running. My new boss is a runner, biker and swimmer. At least, I can talk to him about running. I'll be praying for you tomorrow. That climb looks grueling. Good luck again!!

Christine - Glad you are enjoying BBC. I haven't regretted buying them not one time.

Linda - IMO, SSE is like SS on a diet. They are just like SS but shorter and she does some different exercises. I've only done Cardio Sculpt Express and 6 Minute Abs. I plan on doing Cool It Off Express after my run tomorrow. I haven't previewed Cardio Core. Will let you know what I think when I do it. They're worth it to me because they're shorter and I can add other things if I want.

Susan - Glad you had a safe trip. It was nice to hear how you and your dad remembered your mom. Will continue to keep you and your family in prayer. I can relate so well to your dad waving goodbye and then being alone. I can walk to my mom's house in 3 minutes. But after my dad passed and my brothers and sisters were leaving, she looked so alone. But she's doing great! And, your dad will be fine too. (((((HUGS))))) to you!

Sunny - Glad you mastered 30 minutes of yoga. I get tired after that length of time. I use to take hour long classes at a studio but I felt like the yoga instructor needed a little more instructing herself. Now, I just use videos.

Wendy - I ordered my SSE on 4/6. I received a shipping notification without a tracking #. After 2 weeks, I still hadn't received them. Called CS to see if I could get a tracking # but UPS didn't supply them with one. Called a second time and CS rep did a re-order. Got that order yesterday. Can you believe the original order showed up today? Called CS, she told me to refuse them and return them. Told her I had opened the package already and it would cost me to ship them back. She says keep them. So, my dd will get a free set. She's so happy. First time I've ever had a problem with BB. It all worked out ok as long as they don't charge me twice and I will be checking my cc statement. Glad you found some energy to get your workout in.

Cathy - Let me know if you get that CIA Kickboxing workout. Debbie's workouts are her latest. They are shorter than SS. The music is much better too. Hope you enjoyed a quiet Friday night. Laughing at you looking like a Kung Fu master. LOL!!

Jess - Glad you enjoyed your birthday!

I'd better get to bed so I'll have energy for 10 miles in the morning. Getting the Zen all charged up. I want to get out early to beat the heat too.
