Finally found everyone again. I've been talking to Carol and Cathy lately and so I wanted to pop in and say HI. I've been a missing cheetah for a while due to some family health problems with my mom and dad. It left me in a downward spiral and running took a back burner. I've still worked out but with some injuries and then my mom and dad I lost my cheetah way. They are still working out some health problems ( still waiting on some tests) but I've come out of my sprial and am working my way back up to running again. All the stress did a number on me and so I've come to realize that running is my stress reliever and I have to make time for it.. I signed up to do a 5k again to motivate me on Aug 17th. Only problem is that soon my dh and kids and I will be on vacation so my eating won't be up to par as much as I belive (however delusional I may be in my head) Anyway I will do my best and run the boardwalk in Wildwood in about two weeks which will leaves me a good week before the 5K. If all goes well my long run should be 8-9 miles which gives me a good jump to do the Baltimore Half in Oct. That is my goal. Anyway thanks Cathy for directing me to the tread which I lost somehow in the transition of the forums.

Wendy- Where in MD are you going ( Ocean City) ? I live in Cecil County but grew up in Baltimore. I see you may come through my parts and soon I'll be coming though NJ. Karen

Still trying to get an avatar up and running so we'll see if it works now....

Ended up being a *very* productive day. I didn't get to CleanMax though because LaundryMax morphed into DresserMax...you know when you go through and GUT all of your dresser drawers ;). At least I now have room to put all the clean laundry away for a change *LOL*.

Christine - May I ask what kind of work your DH does that's taking him to Beijing? I tend to agree that the "measures" they're taking over there sound like too little, too late. I'm not normally one for mayo-based chicken salads but this was GOOD :9! The dressing was 1/4 cup of lf mayo (to 5 cups of chicken and nectarines, so not much) and lf buttermilk, which I couldn't find so I subbed a dollop of ff plain yogurt and a splash of milk....yummy, yummy! Hey, if you're not up for the cool weather you could always send it on over to the East Coast Cheetahs :p.

Cathy - Uh, wow, I'm glad you're going for a second opinion. I do think it's a good idea to see if there's any correlation between that cyst and your double vision. Great run today! Sorry about your Garmin going wacky. Maybe all of our gadgets were trying to tell us that we really shouldn't have been running today lol! Okay, so now I'm learning how to use the hybrid display for posts. So far I'm finding this one to be the easiest for me. LMAO...sending a BELCH right back at ya!!!! ETA: Check your pms.

Lorie - Ugh, UnpackMax is no fun. I usually end up working out of the suitcase for a week (or two) until it's almost empty so then I don't have to unpack much ;). I hope you had a wonderful time with DBF!

Carole - Oh, that'll be fun to have a running partner...I hope Beau is up to the challenge }). I'm sure Sadie will warm up to him soon. He's probably a bit intimidating to her. Another killer workout today! How did the legs feel today after that 10 miler?

Shelly - Glad to hear that you've got a few days to unwind, although I know you won't be taking it easy on yourself. I'm sure your schedule is jam-packed. Sorry to hear that the new job has been tough...hang in there! Have fun with 4DS...such a goodie!

Wendy - I'd say you've sufficiently worn yourself down a bit for bowling tonight. I hope you're bowling your tail off right now! I'm sorry if I missed this one, where's vacay? If I could a)stand running on a TM and b)could get my arse to the gym by 4:30am, I'd probably keep the runs indoors but, you gotta do what you gotta do, right? I hope you can scope out a nice, chilly spot at the gym tomorrow.

Dallas - UGH X(!!! Sorry about the lost personals. Is your house still standing with all the jumping around you were hearing from upstairs :p? Did you guys all cook up some secret 4DS rotation that the rest of us don't know about :p? Great workout today! I think because I rarely get to wear shorts at all during the summer (work in jeans all day, all week) I'm just used to it. I've got some Vicky's Secret yoga pants that I adore so I use those. Besides, when I *did* try to run in shorts last year...YEEEEOUCH!!!! My thighs are not slender enough for that between my overly-developed inner thigh muscles (from riding) and the generous layer of pudge on top of em right now :(. That's why I have to get out there before the heat.

Posh - Sending DH healing {{{{{{{{VIBES}}}}}}}}....ouch! You crack me up you senior citizen you.

Gloria - I hope the sleep helped to refresh you a bit. So what circuit did you end up doing? If you can believe it I actually stayed awake for NFNS last night...go me! I had a feeling when the panel started deliberating that that's where it was headin. Should make for a good finale!

Karen - Pleased to "meet" you! It does sound like you've had a rough go of it lately but, good for you for pulling yourself out of it! Sending {{{{HUGS}}}} and {{{VIBES}}} your way. I look forward to getting to know you.

So today was my last day of "easy" for the week. My posting may become sparse to non-existent and I apologize in advance for that. Tomorrow's a long day...clients, hay delivery, show prep and it's still going to be a hot one so it means early am :(. Wed and Thurs are crazy early show days (3am), then bowling late Thursday night. That's why I say I'm on the fence about the Friday step class. I'm just not sure I'm going to have enough gas left in the tank for that. Although, I'll probably be running on pure adrenaline by then lol. Are any Cheetahs thinking of taking that class? If not, I'll probably bag this one and make the next. Ugh, I just don't know what to do...I've been looking forward to this all summer.

I'm going to stop whining now, get my steel cut oats on the stove, and then pack it in. Have a great night ladies!

Just wanted to let Cathy know that I'm a dork and once I started reading about the doc appointment I realized I had already read about it but somehow ended up asking the question anyway! So as Homer would say...DOH! Sorry about that! LOL I'm chalkin' it up to a polish moment. ;-)

I bowled pretty well tonight: 106, 125, 97 on a 106 average. DH was using a brand new ball and bowled a 189 and 2 games around 250. He likes his ball obvioulsy. The best part is that we swept! It's about darned time! We really are digging out way out of the hole we made for ourselves. :)

Well, it's off to bed with me now...
