Good morning, lovelies! Happy Monday!http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/th_happy-038.gif http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/th_happy-038.gif http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/th_happy-038.gif

Linda :: wow, 60 years of marriage. Now that's somethin.' Glad you enjoyed your time away. Was wonderin' where you went off to. :)

Christine :: mmm, looks like a great menu!...It's nice to hear of some of the instructors who are still able to handle their own customer service.

See last night for more personals...I think I'm caught up now.

Well, technically, my current four-week rotation ended yesterday, but since last week was mostly rest, I'm just going to repeat the final week. Tonight, after I pick up the elliptical, will be yoga or stretch.

I am still debating whether or not round two of the X is really the right move for me at this point. I want to keep losing and am thinking I should probably be at my goal weight (or close) before I do another round of X. Decisions, decisions. :)

Enjoy your Monday...will BBL to see what everyone's up to today.

ETA: Today's weigh-in day for me, and I'm happy to say I'm down 1.4 for a total of 8.1 lbs. since starting WW in early September. Considering that the past 4 weeks have NOT been exemplary eating weeks, I'll gladly take that!

Good morning (is it monday already...)

cathy-yay, you are getting your elliptical today!! i know you are so excited. i love the elliptical for cross training. now you will have to go visit itrain and pick up a few iclimbs}(

linda- welcome back. glad you enjoyed your trip.

jackie- i knew you would do an awesome job. so glad to hear you enjoyed this HM.

christine- what part of nc are you visiting? i hope it's somewhere close to me and we can get together:)

as far as the classical stretch workout, i really liked it as far as the stretching. showed me i am really, really tight:( . she recommends doing it 2-3 times a week. i am going to try to fit it in at least twice. it's not your relaxing type of stretch workout it is really intense stretching and boy do you feel it.

today is a 60 min run on the TM (using a itread) and then later on i am going to do my own legs.

have a great day everyone. i will try to get back here later on:)

Hey Sunny! I'll be picking it up tonight, but it won't be assembled and ready to go til Friday. I am pumped!! Is there an iClimb, in particular, you'd recommend?...That seals it. I'm adding Classical Stretch to my list. Enjoy your run & leg work!

Good morning Cheetahville!

I had planned to do 4DSKB, Legs and Core this morning but that's not going to happen. When I inhale through my mouth the cool air hitting my tooth feels none too good x(! So I guess I'll have to wait until after it gets fixed (hopefully today) to do any kind of cardio. If not I guess I might try Total Body Weights premix from 4DS...that should be a killer! Plus, I think I'm fighting off the beginnings of a cold (sore throat, popping ears, sniffles) so I'm not sure cardio is a good idea. I *refuse* to get sick...I simply can't fit it into my schedule LOL!

Cathy - Congrats on the loss...good work!!! Have fun picking up your elliptical tonight. You know tht waiting until Friday is going to be *very* hard to take, right?

Sunny - I just might have to look into Classical Stretch. Today's workout looks like a goodie.

Christine - So, how was your feast last night? Wow, that was some spread...lots of yummy leftovers I'm sure :9!

Linda - It sounds like you had a good time at the anniversary party...wow, 60 years.

I'm off to go make breakfast. It's so weird to have all this time this morning to do nothing and I'm not sure if I like it. This is my workout time and I feel like a slacker sitting here. BBL. Have a great day everyone!

Mornin' Folks.

Wow, I actually got up at 6am this morning. Imagine that! It's been forever since I've been able to get up early it seems...

Carole: As a matter of fact, this ex-boyfriend of mine is one of my closest friends! The horror! LOL :p

Shelly: Nice run y'day! What's on tap for today? Had to wait until nap time to exercise y'day since I was too exhausted get up and move my butt first thing in the morning. :7

Gayle: Congrats!

Jackie: I'm glad you enjoyed this HM more then the last. Were you participating in some kind of race series or something??

Christine: OMG, your boss sounds sooo cool!:7 I worked for a cool boss at my last job though so I can't complain. I miss him actually. Not the job, just the boss!:)

Wendi: (((HUGS))). I know how you feel w/that tooth! I just CHIPPED my front tooth years back and was in pain! I hope hope hope it can get fixed today!!!! Congrats on the fantastic horse show and work out y'day! You rock!

Linda: Busy weekend you had. Sounds like fun. Glad you are enjoying Amy's new work outs. I bought Slo Mo but have yet to try it! :p

Cathy: So are you going to check out ITrain or Cardio Coach now that you will have an elliptical? It was major league NASTY outside y'day so I don't blame you for NOT heading out. It appears it will remain that way today as well. I hate winter. x( As far as the X goes, you do what's right for you. If it's not what you think you need right now then, by all means, hold off. Congrats on the 8 pound loss! That's awesome!:)

Sunny: I checked out the classical stretch stuff y'day and bookmarked it. I've been spending $ like crazy so I need to back off a bit. Perhaps I'll add one to my Christmas list though. ;)

So it's cardio today. I'll let you know what I decided on once it's done!

Have a great day!

Good morning all!! I never was able to sleep yesterday for my nap... that's very unusual for me. Anyway, I'm feeling it now!!
Fortunately it's been a relatively quiet nite:) For today it'll be
a nice long stretch session when I wake up, maybe stretchX:)
Still on track for Las Vegas on Dec 2 :7

Jackie- woooohoooo!!! We are so proud of you:7 :7 :7 :7 That was an awesome accomplishment and you definitely deserve that trophy. Sounds like you had a great strategy for that last race!

Cathy- How exciting that you are getting your EXT today.... but won't be able to use it til Friday??? The iClimbs are great workouts!

Wendi- Poor baby!!! I hope you can get that broken tooth fixed soon, that is a miserable thing to deal with and very distracting.
I'm way impressed with that workout you got in yesterday. Fantastic news about the horse show!!

Linda- Great to hear from you. 60 years?!!! That is definitely worth a big celebration! I think I've done Amy's ASCII about 4 times now and pretty much have it down....... way fun!!!

Christine- Yummy menu!!!:9 So what are you doing on Thursday since you already had the big meal?

Wendy- Good morning! Great day for cardio~

I hope everyone has a terrific Monday. Not a short work week for me though. I'll be working the eve of Thanksgiving... and going home to cook the entire meal for my family

Good morning Cheetahs! Yay for the shorter work week too even though I have to work Friday. One day is better than nothing.

Cathy - Do you feel like X does not help with weigh loss? I didn't see any great differences with it. But, I did feel stronger. Congratulations on the 1.4 pounds! You're doing great!

Sunny - Is that Classical Stretch from the instructor I use to see on tv on the Public Broadcasting channel. Enjoy your run.

Wendi - Hope that tooth feels better. At least, you have some backup workouts.

Wendy - Are you sleeping better? Yes, I was participating in a Road Race Series with 2 races each of 5K, 5M, 10K, 10M and 2 halfs. Glad it's all over and done.

Shelly - So you don't mind stretching? Sorry you didn't get that nap in.

Rest day for me today. Legs are sore. Did a little stretching in the shower. May do an easy walk tomorrow and some more stretching.

Gotta head out for work now. Will BBL to finish up with personals.

Here's to a great start to the week!

Jackie

Shelly: OMG where will you find the energy for Turkey Day prep?? You are one amazing Cheetah!

Jackie: Very cool that you participated in a series like that. I know there is a 3 5k race series they do around here every year but that's it. I've never heard of anything larger like what you did.

Well, I just drank a protein shake for breakfast this morning. I am going to give that a shot. If I end up starving before I even leave for work then I know it's not a good idea!:p

Good Morning All!

I’m feeling content (or more appropriately, fat and happy after last night’s dinner!). The dinner went well, and we all had a good time. Today is APX’s Legs. I’m thinking I should switch the way I do these. Do legs first. It’s easy to lift upper with sore legs, then to lift legs with a sore upper! I’m not too bad, but I can feel it really in my back. I went pretty heavy – which I will do again. Oh well, legs it is today.

Linda – good to “see” you! I’ve been “lucky” enough to be laid off during the holidays on year and had a great time baking, and making Christmas fun. I did enjoy that.

Cathy – YEAH! Short work week! Maybe that’s why I’m content. :p WAY TO GO on the weight loss!!! I’m impressed!

Sunny – I’m visiting Emerald Isle, but I’ll most likely fly into Raleigh. I’ll let you know as soon as I know my schedule! Sounds like a good stretch – those are the kind I like and need. Thanks for the info. Enjoy your run!

Wendi – praying for a rainy Thanksgiving for you so you can enjoy it! So, sorry to hear about your tooth! That sounds painful! I’m sure they’ll give you a temp cap. My DH just chipped his tooth and they did that for him right away. That should help. The feast was fabulous. Everything was very good. I usually mess up something. :p

Wendy – My boss has his moments, but he’s not a very good manager. Oh well, he likes me and thinks I do no wrong, so, I can’t complain too much. :p And he is treating us to Bocce. :+ Enjoy your cardio.

Shelly – Sorry you weren’t able yesterday! I can imagine that you must be exhausted by now. Enjoy your easy day! Thursday we’re going to our friends’ house. They always have a big ole party for all the Indian crowd. It’s American food with an Indian twist (usually they have one Indian spiced turkey – and it’s good!). So I get to over eat again, without the stress of cooking or cleaning! :p Hopefully you’re going to eat your Thanksgiving dinner later in the day to give you a chance for a nap! I’d come to help, if I lived closer!

Jackie – enjoy your rest day! You deserve it! Glad you have Thursday off! I did have to laugh at the title yesterday. Every time I hear “Move it, Move it” – I start thinking of “Madagascar”. I actually liked that movie, but I’m a sucker for animated films!

Hi ladies!

Just popping back in to report that I did 4DS Total Body Weights (I added the BC warm-up to that as therre is no warmup for that premix). What a great workout...I am completely fried!!!

I'm off to the dentist...gag, literally ;(. I am such a coward!!!

See you all later!

hi guys!

today was my last run (according to my training schedule) before the race. i don't know how i am going to take two rest days in a row when i will have more time (since i'll be off work early on tuesday and no work on wednesday). i am gong to go stir crazy!!! i did 4 miles on the TM today in 34 minutes.

cathy-i am thinking thatsince you are trying to reach a certain goal weight and muscle weighs more than fat, get to your goal weight first. JMO.

sunny-so you are liking the classical stretch? i only have stretchmax and i hardly do it. do you think the classical stretch is worth getting?

wendi-you poor thing. i am so sorry about your tooth. did you find someone that can fix it asap?

wendy-so, what cardio did you decie upon today?

shelly-glad your night has been quiet. i can't believe you didn't get a nap after that long run you did yesterday.

jackie-wtg on your race yesterday. what's this about working on friday?!?! that's a shopping day!

christine-glad dinner went well. i agree with you on the sore upper thing.

Hello

Jackie- Way to go on finishing the race series. You have got to feel good about committing to it and following through.

Shelly- Dec 2 is getting closer! You and Carole are going to have a grand time!

Carole- you are doing the half in LV right?

Guess What? I am really doing a race on Thanksgiving! A friend of mine asked me to do it, so even if my kids don't want to run it, I will have someone to do it with. (I have only ever done one 5k) This is a 4.4 mile Turkey trot. The distance is odd, but it is a tradition apparently)

Gayle- nice to see you in 'cheetahville' and good job on your recent race!

Cathy- 8 pound since September is great. Slow and steady with weight loss is a great strategy!

Wendy- nice workout you put together yesterday!

Wendi- I am so sorry about the tooth! I hope you get it fixed ASAP
Hi Susan and Kristi and Sunny :)

Spin class was intense. It was only 45" followed by intense abs work and a good stretch. It took me a little bit of getting used to, but I liked it. The instructor put us through a intervals of hi resistance with varying speed right after the warm up. Next he continued with more gradual increases in resistance and effort, steady state and an intense sprint series. I was sweating quite a bit, but I expected to go a bit longer.

I'm back again. Boss is next door. May have to cut it short. :) Seriously though, he's a good boss and wouldn't say a thing.

Lorie - Sounds like you found that motivation yesterday. I forget, when is your half? It is harder to get out of a warm bed on colder days. I usually follow a rotation but I'm winging it for the rest of Nov. I know Friday should be a shopping day. :) But, I can't take the crowds like I use to. I'll do a lot of on line shopping. Then, I have to take my mom to the mall most years and I pick up a few odds and ends.

Gayle - Good to see you! Congratulations on doing so well with your races! Sounds like you're having fun.

Carole - I don't really practice Chi running. But, after seeing that it helped you ladies so much, I decided to try the principles yesterday. I haven't read the book yet. I did check it out on the website. It really made a lot of difference not having to push those hamstrings so much. I also went back to my old shoes and loosened them up a bit. My feet didn't go numb this time.

Wendi - Just read what happened with your tooth. OUCH!! Hope you can get it fixed today. Glad you enjoyed your workout.

Linda - Yes, 60 years is a long time. Glad the anniversay dinner was nice for them. I tried the Hammer Gel during the 10 mile races and it ddn't sit too well with my stomach. It did give me energy though.

Christine - That menu looked absolutely delicious yesterday. I love animated films too. Can't remember if I've seen Madagascar or not. Memory is slipping. :) I'll be a year older next week.:)

Wendy - How did the protein drink work for you?

I'd better get back to work.

Jackie

Judy - That's great that you decided to do a race on Turkey Day! Glad you enjoyed your spin class. I do miss those days at the gym.

Wendi – Great job on 4DS Total Body! Yes, that would be a fryer! Good luck at the dentist!

Lorie – Believe me, you’ll be thankful for the rest when you at mile 12 and still have energy. It just sucks that you are so free those days! Do some yoga or stretching. That is always good!

Judy – enjoy your Turkey trot! Spin class sounds fun. Most of ours are about 50 minutes. But you can get a good workout in 45!

Jackie – My boss doesn’t care if I’m on line either. I’m already at my goal for the month. So, I’m on the favored list!

Well I did APX Legs. Yowza! That is some workout! I love the different moves and I know I’ll be feeling it tomorrow (like I’m feeling upper today!). I’m kind of mixed about the upper/lower body thing. I may just put a day in between and solve the whole problem. When you work legs, you work back a lot, too. But my upper body is toast right now. I know she worked me because I gained 6 pounds since yesterday – and while I did a good job at dinner, I did not eat 6 pounds worth! I think it’s bloat from the rich foods and water bloat from the heavy lifting. It was a shocker though!

Hello ladies! Sorry I haven't posted lately. Life is so busy now. This weekend was so hectic I barely had time to run my 7 miles on Saturday, but I got it done. :) :)

DH & I had a not so pleasant visit with our vet of 7 years on Saturday. We took Chelsea in for the first time so we can get a sedative for her on the long trip to the inlaws for Thanksgiving to make her more comfortable. She is a high pitched "singer" when she is riding in the car and it would be too much for the kids on a long 2 hour drive. As you all know we have only had Chelsea 2 months. She is 5 years old with little to no training at all, with the exception of being house broken. So far she can perform "sit" on command, "stay" occassionally, and "down" with treats. DH and I work with her daily. In any case, the vet acted like she should be fully trained by now and we had to explain to her 5 times why we were requesting some medication on our long trip. She was very rude, condescending, and acted like we didn't know how to train our dog. She asked us twice if we were hiring a professional trainer. DH and I were so mad. He wanted to take our other dog, Sadie, in and show her how he trained her. She is completely trained and she came from a bad home as well. Needless to say we are not going back there anymore. If she doesn't care about pets then she shouldn't be a vet. This isn't the first time she has acted this way, but we were at a check-up for Sadie at the time and thought she was having a bad day.

Cathy - I received the email with addresses. Thanks!!

Sorry this is a one-sided post. I'm still trying to get into the swing of things at work before I leave town on Wednesday. Please forgive me for not having a chance to do personals. Take care!

Well, I'm back from the dentist and I'm happy to say she was able to rebuild it :7. She didn't even need to cap it! She just used filling and was able to sculpt a perfect match! I can't tell you what a relief it is to have this fixed so easily...she was wonderful.

Actually, I think I was more relieved to be able to finally eat lunch. I was starving since the last thing I had eaten was breakfast at 6:30 this morning. There was NO WAY I could go to the dentist on a full stomach, if you catch my drift :(.

Wendy - So, how did you do with just your protein shake? I don't think I could do that...I need something to sink my teeth into, now that I can ;). I hope your chip was an easy repair.

Shelly - Yeah, I think I caught a case of "Shelly-itis" on Saturday! I hope the rest of your shift was uneventful and you are finally able to catch some good zzzzzz's. You certainly got the short stick having to work then cook on Thanksgiving ...you poor thing.

Jackie - I hope your soreness fades quickly. We're in the same boat having to work Friday. I do have a few things that I'd like to pick up on Black Friday so my plan is to get in early and out of the stores FAST and then get to work by 8ish...might just work.

Christine - Glad to hear your feast was fabulous! Not just that, you get to have a second T-day this week...lucky duck :p. I had the same thought about helping Shelly with the cooking. It looks like you've two days of some killer workouts...WTG!!! I agree with you about your back doing double duty with upper/lower body work.

Lorie - Great job on your last run. I have to second Christine's idea about some yoga or stretching. Just think how refreshed you'll feel going into that race!

Judy - Have fun at your Turkey Trot! I wish I could do the one they have here but it's on Saturday and I'll be working...blast! Glad to hear you enjoyed your spin class.

Kristi - What a terrible visit to your vet's office. She's an older dog that you've only had for a couple of months...what does she expect? How wonderful, though, that she was lucky enough to find such wonderful home with you!

I've got a couple of quick errands to run. BBL.

No time for personals right now Cheetahs. I am training tonight so I have to get moving but I just wanted to report my work out.

Imax Extreme with out the weight segments. YOWZA! It's been a long time since I picked that one up! What a sweatfest!}(

BBL!:)

hello ladies,

i had a nice run this morning, decided not to do an itread..just ran for 50 mins and listened to music. had a good run! now i am desperately trying to find the motivation to complete my leg workout...send me motivating vibes please:eek: .

i got my new tracey staehle's in today. i ordered the parts series (UB, Glute camp, and a total body with pilates and yoga, all on one DVD) can't wait to try them!

for all who asked yes, i definitely think the fullbody/athlete's stretch is a nice addition to your library. the instructor's name is miranda esmonde.

ttyl...:)

Oh ouch. My back - every bloody inch of it, has major DOMS today. It's all good DOMS, and not sore, but holy cow!! I'm loving it.
