~~Cheetahs~~ Looking for a sunny Sunday!

Hey there Cheetah's!

I am soooo tired! My allergies are killing my and I got some Zyrtec this week and it is making me so tired and sluggish! I had to cancel my run outside with my running buddy. I had to stay in on the TM this weekend. x(

Christine - Those are beautiful pictures! Absolutely beautiful! I would love to be able to run there! It sounds like your run was wonderful! Congratulations on such a good run and time!

Wendy - I read your post about your friend! My goodness! You sure have put up with a lot of crap from him! I would definitely have been upset, too. Hope your physical results come back good! We have our "annual" blood work done on Tuesday at work. Good job on CC#4! Have you tried CC#7? That is my favorite of all of them. If you don't have that one...you may want to try it!

Cathy - I saw where you had asked about my daughter the other day. She is doing okay. I saw her house for the first time today. It is a really cute house.....but to me....she just looks sooo tired and stressed. It kills me. :-( I am still trying to find the Novice Supreme.....will keep trying! Are you still excited about it? :) Enjoy your run and 4DS!

Wendi - Does taking the Aleve everyday not bother your stomach? Sorry you have pain!

Sunny - Good job on iTread 60 minute run intervals! I love that one, too! I wish they would put out more like those. If they would....I would rejoin. :<(

Carole - I am sorry about your coworkers mom! And also your friend's mom that has cancer. :<( How sad! Hope you enjoyed your run!

Shelly - I understand how you would be feeling re: moving, etc. That race does sound like a lot of fun! (even though it is hilly!) If you ever get to run here....we have a lot of hills! }(

Gloria - The recipe looks great!

Lorie - enjoy your rest day....or cardio if you do decide to do some!

Kath - Aww! Your poor DD! I feel for her! Good job on your workout yesterday and enjoy your run if you do that today!

Jackie - Enjoy your rest day!

As I mentioned earlier, I was unable to get outside for my long run...or any runs, due to allergies this weekend :<(

So.....
Friday was GS B&B and a 6 mile run. (I had done the shoulders and some abs Thursday night).

Saturday was another 6 mile run on the TM.

Today was a 5 mile run, GD C&T and the abs from Firm Vol. I.

I didn't have a very good running weekend. Too many things kept happening....but they can't all be good, right? ;-)

Hope everyone has a great night!

Linda

I will back tomorrow with personals, but I did want to upload some photos.

The Band at the start of the race - they had bands a lot of places - all different kinds - but this one was at our starting point and got us jazzed up to run.

Of course the port-a-potties are a part of every race, but did you ever see any with THIS view?

This is DH standing on a bridge. Not that great, but we were having a good time - the smile was genuine.

And then, can't resist showing you the sunset from our balconey last night

Lovely, lovely race. We ran the first 7 miles straight, then started walking the hills. I feel pretty darned good for not having trained. We're about to go to the hot tub right now. This race is along the Pacific Coast Highway - some of the most gorgeous scenery in the world. If you ever just want to run for the sheer joy of running, this is the one to do. I had so much fun with this.

Have a great day all, and sorry to be so all about me. But I wanted to share while I had a moment.

Hi Friends!

Don't have much time - busy day - I'm online to sign DD up for the SAT Test but I quickly snuck on here to read what me Cheetahs are up to today..lol. I must now say howdy and tell Christine CONGRATS!! YEAH! AWESOME job, especially with little training! and thanks for sharing the race photos etc. looks like ya'll are having a great time! I gotta scoot now cuz I'm multi-tasking like you wouldn't believe right now - doing dinner (spaghetti slow cookin') cleaning, laundry, cleaning up MY "garage", treating the dog's ears, filling out paperwork, trying to return some calls...etc...blah blah, yada, yada...so you see I've no time for personal right now but maybe I'll end up with a novel or two late this evening...lol

Have a great rest of the day Cheetahs!!

Thomasina :)

Christine - The pictures are wonderful! I love the view from the porta-potties! You guys look like you had a wonderful time! And it sounds like you did! It sounds perfect! That is amazing that you did so good and didn't train! You did much better than me, even when I "trained"!!! :+ Congratulations, again!

Posh - Hey there, busy Cheetah pal!!!

Hi Cheetahs! I'm in the middle of a work stretch that has been very BUSY and stressful I'm afraid... nothin like going out with a bang.
Feeling jealous with reading how the cheetahs are all having such fun weekends! Well, one more night tonight and then it's a couple off before my last night :7 :7 :7 I am SO looking forward to a whole MONTH off from work.... the longest stretch I have ever taken off since age 18:eek: It will hardly be much of a restful one tho with the moving... oh well! I did get in a very nice fast paced 3 mile run on the TM this morning :)

Jackie- Guess it was good this was a rest day for you since sleep wasn't the best. Hope you do better tonight.

Judy- awesome trail run for you today!! Hope you get in some great golfing with your friends.

Cathy- Love the IRS pencilsharpener!!! LOL. I guess yesterday kinda got away from you. I'm sure you made up for it today tho.

Kath- Wow, you are one attentive devoted MOM!!Sounds like your DD is recovering well tho. How was the trail run?

Christine- What a beautiful course... probably the prettiest in the country I'd guess. I knew you'd do great....Congratulations!! Thanks so much for sharing the pics. You looked great for just finishing a long hard run!!!

SunnyD- I'd say with all the yard work it was hardly a rest day for you. Sounds like you had a great time with the run intervals on your new TM!

Carole- My goodness, this hasn't been a good time for some of your friends Moms!!I bet your friends find your support invaluable though... beyond words to be sure. ooooh the mileage is creeping up there again with the long runs!

Wendy- Sounds like a busy but very fun weekend for you. Sounds like you got in a great workout with the CC... I've never tried these, maybe I should!

Lorie- Sounds like you are really getting into the NROWL. How has the running been going? Still doing the HIIT?

Gloria- You have some YUMMY hummus recipes! YOu've been having pretty fun weekend I guess!

Linda- Sorry this weekend was such a wash for you with the outdoor running. The zyrtec is really throwing you for a loop! Hopefully you'll adjust soon and be back on track. I definitely want to do a run/race in WVa some day when the scheduling permits. It's so darn beautiful there... don't mind the hills at all!

Posh- sounding energetic bubbly and BUSY as always!!

I think that about catches me up. Hopefully I'll have time for a quick post tomorrow morning.

ShellyC

Christine- Way to go! And thank you for sharing your pictures. Is that view from your balcony at your home? It is stunning!

Wendy- I get the 'lack of caffeine headache' also. It can be nasty!

Linda- I am sorry that your weekend was not a good running one.

Shelly- You are getting closer and closer to your last night. I hope you found a bit of downtime in your hectic weekend of work and house/ moving chores

Carole- Doesn't is seem like tragedy comes in clusters? I hope your friends Mom can have some comfort at this stage of her illness.

Posh- When is DD taking the SAT? My DD is taking it next Saturday, May 3. She had her last review class today. This review course ran each Sunday from the end of January until now.

Hola, cheetahs!:) :) :)

Kath…hope you were able to enjoy a run…I remember ice cream and pudding were the staples of my post-op diet.

Sunny…doesn’t sound like your rest day involved all that much rest! You’ll have to let us know how the stairs are with the weighted vest. That is one of the items on the blog which caught my eye.

Carole…oh gosh, I didn’t realize that was so recent…it’s startling how quickly the disease can act…I’m sorry to hear about your other friend’s mom…she will be in my thoughts & prayers…the big C just seems to be everywhere right now…I've been sort of a casual fan of Lance and a Livestrong supporter and am more so now that I'm reading his (first) memoir...his strength just blows me away. Am thinking of running Chicago for Livestrong.

Wendy…glad you had fun last night…BF finds out this week. We're excited!

WT…love your smileys, esp. the little guy pumpin’ iron. Any word?

Gloria…glad you had a second night of fun. :) We start state testing this week, so I look forward to having the week behind us.

Christine…Congrats on your finish!!!! LOVED the pics! I have driven that stretch of highway, and it is utterly gorgeous. *sigh* :)

Linda…sorry ‘bout those allergies kickin’ in…your poor DD…how are the kids doing?...Here is the link for Novice Supreme: http://www.halhigdon.com/beginrunner/novicesupreme.htm Oh yeah, I’m definitely still excited!...looks to me like you put in some good miles on the TM. Hopefully this week the allergies will be kinder to you.

Posh…great to see ya! :) :) :)

Shelly…yes, it did get away from me…I can thank Senor CL for that…*lol*...sendin’ ya some anti-stress vibes. Hope things slow down for your last coupla nights there.

I enjoyed a nice, strong 5-mile run late this morning, walking for a minute at each mile. Did some cleaning and then kicked back with some reading and watching a marathon of a show I'd never heard of before: Playing it Straight. Rather kept me entertained. Then I polished off 4DS CST - man, have I missed that one - and Bosu Absolutely Abs. Feelin' good!

Hey, I'm wondering--is anyone going to see Spirit of the Marathon?

Have a great night!

Good evening Cheetahs! Well, I didn't find that sunny Sunday. It has rained most of the day and it's still coming down.

Judy - Great job on the 70 pounds for deadlifts!

Cathy - The glutes and hamstrings are a little sore but the legs feel pretty good. Thanks for the info on the mary. I'm still on the fence about running the marathon. But, I still have time if I'm just going for support. Great workout and down time today.

Kath - Nice workout on the bike. Glad DD is doing better. Have a good day with the kids tomorrow.

Sunny - Getting that ac repaired soon? Yay for getting to work in the yard. Any special flowers?

Carole - How funny that your clients don't recognize you. You'll have to change again sometime and keep them guessing. Hope you had a good run. Sorry to hear about your friend's mother. Will definitely send up a prayer.

Wendy - Glad you had a fun dinner last night. Sounds like you needed some extra caffeine today. Glad you enjoyed CC. Not having to guess at the speed is why I love Grace. She puts it out there and you can go for it if you want. With CC I don't work so hard.

Lorie - Yeah, about July or August, we'll be wanting all of this rain. Did you see Eoinn today?

Christine - Great time on the race and no training! Sounds like an awesome run and lots of fun! Thanks for sharing the pics.

Linda - Sorry the allergies are bothering you. Hope you you feel more energized tomorrow.

Posh - You sound busy as usual. Did you get DD signed up?

Shelly - Sorry work was a bit stressful. That month off work will go by so fast. Glad you were able to sneak a run in there. Are the dogs getting all of their bones packed? :) Want to get to bed here in a few minutes.

I want to hit the hay a few minutes early. Will talk to you tomorrow.

Have a good night!

Jackie
