Good Afternoon Girls.

I've been home from my visit with mom for some time now. I headed out about 9:30 this morning to meet her. We did some shopping and had lunch while my car was getting a much needed oil change. I picked up my car and was heading home by about 1:45. Once I got DS down for his MUCH NEEDED nap-he was getting UBER cranky towards the end-I farted around for a while and finally talked myself into working out since I had the opportunity. Now that's it done I am enjoying a protein shake and the forums before heading for a shower. :)

I did a work out that I found on this website: www.trainwithmeonline.com
I went to it looking for ideas on how to use the bosu and decided to give some of their stuff a try. It's free so what the heck, right? :) The work out I did is a bodyweight work out performed with only a stability ball. It is ranked as beginner to intermediate but it was pretty tough IMO! I upped some of the reps on the easier exercises but they have you doing push ups on the ball! HELLO!? That's NOT a beginner-intermediate exercise IMO!!!! I can't even do them! I subbed in use of my bosu for that one but I digress....Here's the work out-whatever changes I made will be in parentheses:

Ball squats: 15-20 reps (should have added reps here but didn't)
Stability Ball push ups: 15-20 reps (did on Bosu ball)
Side Crunches with Stability Ball: 12 reps per side (did 20 per side)
repeat above exercises twice through
then....

Stability Ball Knee Ins: 20 reps
Stability Ball Ham Curls: 15-20 reps (no changes made but should have done single leg instead of both at same time as they have you do)
Ab Crunch with Stability Ball: 15-20 reps (did 25 reps)
repeat above exercises twice through
then....

Stability Ball Roll Out: 15-20 reps
Pendulum w/Ball: 10 per side
Heel raises: 5 reps (did 10 here)
repeat above exercises twice through to complete work out.

It says it's a full body work out. It's very core oriented if you ask me, which is fine but I'd tend NOT to call it FULL body as it's light in lots of areas. Ah well. I enjoyed it for what it was. It wasn't easy IMO. I am saving that website and will try more work outs post X perhaps! }(

Christine: So why did you end up at a bowling alley??? Did you bowl or was it just a place to hang out and watch the game? How did HSC go for you today? Thanks for happy dancing with, BTW. ;)

Kristi: I hope you got everything you done that you needed to do today!

Jackie: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BABY! 53 years young! What an AWESOME attitude girl! Feeling better then you did 20 years ago doesn't hurt either! ;) I am staring the X on Monday!!!! Woo Hoo!

i am getting ready to go out to an improv club with a friend. after the time i have had, i really need to laugh!

so, i got home and was all ready to talk myself out of working out but instead, i just got dressed, didn't think about it, and went. i ran 6 miles and helped a deer cross the road at one point. he was bee-yoo-ti-full!!! they are around, but i hardly ever see them and i was surprised to see one in the afternoon. that made my run!!! i came home and did classical stretch athletes stretch with the extra 15 minutes at the end. i really feel stretched out!

JACKIE-happy, happy birthday!!! i hope it is a wonderful one!

GO CAROLE, SIS, AND SHELLY!!! i will be thinking of you and wishing i could be there (but i will be there in spirit!!!).

well, shower time for me. hopefully, i will stop being such a slacker cheetah and get some personals in tomorrow!!!
 
Surprise, I'm back. I was able to get everything done that I wanted. However, instead of 7 miles I settled for 5.

SunnyD - Congrats on being accepted! I'm not surprised, you are one smart cheetah. :) Sorry I forgot to post my congrats earlier.

Well, I need to get some things done around the house. The kids are temporarily entertained with coloring, but I'm sure that won't last very long. Have a good night everyone.
