:::Cheetahs:::Is it MONDAY already??

Carole: We just have sandy soil around here and we don't have a paved driveway. We track it in easily. Ellie also rolls around in the dirt, then comes in and shakes it off. I haven't been to the beach in looong time. It is hot here too.

Cathy: Hey, where is your cheetah siggy? My long runs were NEVER easy. You will get better at them as the weeks go by. I am sure all first time marathoners have some struggles. I have read that it is physically and emotionally challenging. I am sorry your back flared up. I hope it feels better soon. I did not know Morning Star made buffalo wings. Hmmm, may have to try that. I can only buy my veggie cakes at Wal-Mart. A little rain here and there so far.

Jackie: I am excited about the new STS development. We are all very close so that is good. Circuits are fun for me. I had never done them before Cathe. Hope your Monday is a smooth one!!

DH and I just lazed around the house today. The skies are dark. He just went fishing with a friend. We rented Bucket List from pay per view. Good movie. We also watched a marathon of Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations on the travel channel. I love learning about other cultures. DH slept in late, so I ended up running for 4 miles on the treadmill with my new ipod. Very cool gadget! I ran to CC8. My legs were lead like so I will try and get in the yoga tomorrow. Hope everyone is having a great day! :)

Gloria ~ I just watched The Bucket List the other day. Good flick! I'm a huge Morgan Freeman fan. :) First I thought you meant the film No Reservations with Catherine Zeta-Jones and Aaron Eckhardt (love me some Aaron Eckhart! http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/images/smilies/luv.gif ) That was actually a remake of a German film called Mostly Martha. Enjoyed both...Yeah, the veggie buffalo wings are good...I never did long training runs beyond 9-10. This is definitely challenging. Thanks again for the encouragement! :)...I think my siggy sometimes isn't there for the first post after log-in...A day of doing nothing now and then is absolute heaven, isn't it? Glad you're lovin' the new iPod.

"Do you want to feel my spatula?" Run, Fat Boy, Run

Cathy: How do you do italics on the forum? I have been feeling guilty about not writing book titles, etc. properly. I love Morgan Freeman. I like Jack Nicholson too. My DH's hair looks like his! LOL! I have two books on marathon training that I will send you if you want. I have Marathoning for Mortals by John Bingham and Marathon: the Ultimate Training Guide by Hal Higdon. I have not run a marathon, so I am not a sage as some of the other amazing women here, but I have read about it and know people who have run them. I will have to see if my store carries the wings when I go into town tomorrow. I have not seen the other movie you are talking about. Cute "dreamy" smiley! :)

Gloria ~ Ahh, I keep wanting to put a D in that guy's name and there isn't one...*lol* about the book titles. I like to see them in italics, too. :)...Thank you for your kind offer of a loan. I do have the Bingham book as well as Galloway's book on marathoning. I have not read either cover to cover. Will spend more time with both this summer as well as the RW forums. I am drowning n reading material this summer! *lol* :)..I like Nicholson, too.

To do italics, you have to put brackets around the text you want italicized like this: text you want to italicize I can't use the actual brackets, or you won't be able to see the code. But you want the standard brackets just above and to the left of the enter key. You can do the same for bold.

hello
hello

Hope that makes sense!

UGGHH it’s Monday!

Ended up having company most of the weekend! The smoke is still a major issue at my house so STILL no runs outside for me….I went to the gym before work and caught a spin class, hit the steam and Jacuzzi too before the shower…ahhh… Nice to cleanse the weekend poisons out…lol…ok, so I don’t have enough lunch time left to do personals so I will really, really try to get them in this evening when I get home…I have soooo much to say when I read all ya’lls posts but I don’t have time to type and post! LOL

Be back later tonight friends!

POSH :7

Cathy: Thanks for the tip. I just previewed my message and it works! YAY! No problem on the books. I have a lot of reading material myself. I have not read the books cover to cover either, just read what I thought I needed to know. I am hoping to run a marathon next year sometime. I am like you, I only want to do one.

Howdy Cheetah babes!

Had a rather productive day....ahhhhh, love when I'm the *only* one at the barn. Took my cat (the one in my avatar) to the vet today (vaccinations, nothing wrong) and he's lost 1lb....YAY!!!!! Now if only *I* could do that LOL! I'd like to see him lose another 2lbs but that may be wishful thinking ;).

So I'm debating whether or not I should do something kinda out there as a bday present to myself tomorrow. I've joked that one day I might just run to the farm (10.1 miles) and I'm kind of considering doing it tomorrow. The only problem is that it's going to be much warmer and more humid than I would normally like. Do I just say "go for it"? But what if halfway into the run the heat gets to me? I'm really hemming and hawing here....hmmmmm.... If I don't do the run I think Gauntlet might be in order }(.

Give me a second to grabsome seltzer and then I'll be back with personals.

Wendy - Nice workout today! Nice to hear you had a great time in AC. BTW, I forgot to ask, how did DH do at the Lilac Tourny? In answer to a question you asked awhile ago...I am definitely warming up to the idea of doing the Philly half, especially if it turns into a mini-GTG :).

Cathy - You definitely did the right thing with regards to that creepy van...that's pretty unnerving, to say the least! Sorry your back had something to say about your run :(. I hope it clears up quickly. You still have plenty of time before the race...I know you can do it!

Judy - My MIA sis :p...wow, have you been on the go! Sorry to hear about the distance between you and your father, as well. No need to apologize about not getting here more often, just check in when you can and let us know that you're still alive and kickin, kay?

Christine - Awesome workout you had on tap for today! So, so glad to hear that you're fit as a fiddle and ready to ride. That ride will be a breeze for you! Nope, you didn't miss anything...bday's tomorrow. One of the clients asked if someone had been found to fill the slot yet and I'm thinking, uhhhh, it's only been four days. It'll probably be at least a month before we find someone else :(.

Gloria - Nice run this morning. Glad to ehar that you were able to enjoy a day of doin nuttin'...we all need those from time to time. That's a great idea to share STS with your friend. Was LMAO off about all the "Gloria" song references, 80's memories, etc. that you guys have been swapping lately. Now I just can't get that 80's "Gloria" song out of my head...thanks x( :p! I'm not "officially" doing the RT...I'm just planning on taking the Friday morning class with some the early birds.

Carole - Okay, I was complaining about how hot a nd humid it got here today but you win this one hands down :eek:!!!! Stay cool out there. I can't even imagine...yikes! I hope you had a wonderful massage!

Jackie - 30 Day Shred??? I don't know that one. LOL about the stick...I actually chuckled to myself about that yesterday :+. You know, the barn work isn't even that hard. To do *everything* only took 3 1/2 hours...that's not bad for feeding the farm, mucking and bedding 12 stalls, scrubbing water buckets and refilling, turning 12 horses out and bringing back in, sweeping, setting up feed for next feeding, throwing lunch hay, and wrangling up some kittens. I just don't get it *shrugs*.

Posh - Sorry to hear that you *still* have smoke issues. Are they making any progress getting those fires under control in your area? Looks like you had a great day at the gym though...WTG!

Shelly - Hi there! Hope the new job is going well for you.

I need to get my arse into bed, like, NOW, if I have any chance of getting that run in tomorrow morning before the heat. I still don't know if I should do it or not...could be fun just to say that I did it (and there's lotsa downhill :p). I guess I'll see how I feel in the morning.

Have a great night Cheetah babes!
