Major booty & hammy DOMS here (thank you, Anthony!). I'm thinkin' I will hop on the EXT later.

Shelly :: hope you enjoyed lunch with *your* Wonder Twin. :) How long will they be in the States?

Christine :: can’t wait to hear your review of Newport. I read that with Firepower, two kb’s are needed. I now have a 15 and a 25. Which do you recommend I own as a pair? The kb’s (and workouts) are so danged expensive, I don’t want to buy a set that I would not see as much use out of. With Sunny’s enabling :), I ordered the Keith Weber workout and KB Goddess yesterday.

Carole :: my eyebrows are on the thin side, anyway, so that is *one* torture I can probably spare myself…but I will be curious to hear what the cold waxing is like…oh,:7 that was just supposed to be a ski bunny, but it does look kinda Easter-ish, I suppose…

Wendy :: I realized yesterday I already *have* that issue of M&F Hers with Mint Condition. Looks tough!

Linda :: I don’t know if I would use the word “enjoy,” but let’s say, I am capitalizing on spring break. :) Yesterday was not quite as productive, though. Somehow the day flew. Happy belated b’day! Hope you enjoyed dinner last night.

Sunny :: I had such trouble finding the DVD on that site…I think I may have ADD! But thanks again for the recommendations. I knew when I swung the kb in the store (after hearing you & Christine speak so highly of it) that I would probably really dig this. IC#1 was decent, IC#2 even better (hello, DOMS!), but Providence is what has sealed the deal for me. I ordered the Weber one as well as KB Goddess. Any other KB must-haves? So you are rotating Keith and Anthony? How many x per week are you using the KB? Would love to see what your rotation looks like, if you’re willing to post it.

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday!

Good Morning Cheetahs!

Cathy: So have you figured out what your Holiday plans are yet? Enjoy the DOMS. I'm sure it will make the EXT LOTS O' FUN later!}(
Can't wait for you to try Mint Condition!:)

GTG start getting ready to do my work out. I've decided to torture my muscles with Muscle Endurance. I have a love/hate relationship with that workout and I haven't done it in ages so it's REAAALLLLLYYYY gonna hurt!:p :7

Be back afterwards if I have the time. If not, everyone have a FANTASTIC holiday and I'll probably get back here later tonight!

:* to all of my girls!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...LOL about the ski bunny! For some reason the lavender just looks easterish to me but a bunny is a bunny! I really liked what the waxing did (none of the stragglers I HATE to pluck) so I will keep it up but the cold might be better for me..:)

Wendy...Have fun with ME, one of my favorite ab workouts in that one..

Linda...I was doing CTX one body part a day instead of all the upper body at once, and I think that helped me focus more on my biceps, which probably gave me the DOMS. Good job with the 6 miles and L&G. How was your B-Day dinner?

Sunny...I have not decorated eggs in awhile. Maybe next year! I hope the kids enjoy the hunt...:)

I am planning on a run of about 4-5 miles today, I might warm up a bit on my EXT.

My nephew (the chiro) and his wife are having and Easter brunch for the families. We have always done this unusual hunt that I will tell you about. 1st the adults hide the eggs for the little kids and then it gets a bit reversed. The kids go out and hide these 7 oz beers for the adults. The thing is when the adults go out to find the beers, you have to drink the one you find first before you can go and find another. What is so funny is years ago this wouldn't take long as most of us drank a bit more and now it seems to take forever as we are not the lushes we used to be!!

Have an awesome Easter...:)

Cathy: Aside from the NB work, it sounds like a fun day you have planned. Much more fun then the "traditional" Easter activities I will be engaged in! Can't wait to hear about next season's ski plans!}(

Carole: LMBO at the Easter egg hunt! That is soooo cool!:7 ME was evil today since I hadn't done it in so long but I was able to keep up with Cathe or go a bit heavier for the most part so I was happy. Those biceps get me every time though. I matched Cathe but had to skip some reps at end. YEOWCH!}( Enjoy your work out today and your brunch with the family!:)

So as I was telling Carole, I did ME today. It's been ages so OMG was it tough! I was able to match Cathe's weight or go heavier for the most part though so I'm happy. The last time I did this work out that definately was NOT the case!:D

Well, I'd better finish getting myself and DS ready to go. We have over an hour before we have to leave but I tend to think I have so much time to waste and then I end up waiting TOO long and run late in the end.

I hope to get back here tonight but if not, I'll be back in the morning!:)

Good morning cheetahs and Happy Easter! I had a very nice GTG lunch with the family at Olive Garden yesterday. Had their minestrone soup and salad- delish! Didn't have much time to accomplish much besides workouts yesterday with going out so I hope to get alot done today. Well, with GS CT yesterday I now have sore pecs to go along with the sore bootie! Jackie inspired me also to do iTread#5 indoor marathon. I finished when I got to 10k.

Wendy- WTG with the ME today!! That w/o always had a bit of dread factor for me as well. The biceps portion in particular is grueling!!!

Carole- LOVE your Easter brunch tradition.... sounds like a hoot!!!
I got two books- "Becoming Vegan" which is an overall guide on how to get started and meal planning, etc. And another which hasn't come yet but the recipes are basically simple, not elaborate which I can't handle yet! Do you have any recommendations? I told my family yesterday I am going Vegan, their reaction was pretty much... well, another of Shelly's eccentricities! (like running) They thought initially it was over concern about animal preservation....
noooo- this is about Shelly's body preservation! :p BTW, Jerry took a look at a "grilled chicken" veggie patty I bought and said he'll try it and also tried a slice of veggie "provolone cheese" and really liked it!!

Cathy- My older sis and BIL will be in the states til the end of the month. What's nice about moving to PA is that my niece (her daughter) lives in N. Maryland so I will be seeing alot more of her. I also have a brother in the Va suburbs of DC so I will actually have my own family around!... sort of

Linda- That was an awesome lower body duo workout yourself yesterday with the run and L&G. How was your Bday celebration?

Really got to get moving here. For today it will be some rockin Kickboxing with Amy's KB ext and GS BSB.

Hi to all the other fabulous cheetahs!

Happy Easter to All Eastering Cheetahs!

I was out late last night so it might take a little bit to get Newport done! Oh my! The party was fun last night. I did not eat as much as I feared I would – they had it catered and catered Indian food is never as good as homemade, so that was good! The nice thing about Indian food is that there were plenty of veggie options!

Cathy – I love your Snow Bunny! It is appropriate for today, and beyond. I heard the resorts in Tahoe are planning to be open through the end of April! Long Ski season this year. As for doubling up – I’d start with a 15 pounder. I think there are more exercises that you can do with two lighter one than two heavier. KB’s ARE expensive. I know they are taking off here and at Videofitness, but most people have not heard about them – you should have seen me trying to explain what happened to my finger. The nurse, who was wonderful, was really confused how I could do that kind of damage with a tea kettle – until I explained. :p I’m rotating mainly with Anthony’s workouts now, but this week I’ll toss in Keith’s as well – and I really like his ab work. I aim for three days a week. (I know you asked Sunny, but I figured I’d tell you, too).

Wendy – Great job with keeping up with Cathe on the weights in ME! Wow! That’s impressive! I haven’t done that one in forever. I usually do it with Viper so it’s watered down. Happy Easter! Did Joey like his basket?

Carole – Oh man, I LOVE your Easter Egg and Easter Beer hunt! That is way too funny! Have a great time! I haven’t decorated eggs in a while, either. The girls got bored with it, then I did. So we stopped. Too bad – maybe next year for me, too!

Linda – Oh you’ll love Providence. It’s taking kettlebells a step further. I love Anthony’s style. His Firepower and Newport are total body and not all of the sets uses kettlebells – they are a cross between body weight and kettlebell moves. He’s just soo cool. It’s training the way I like to train. I’ll be all over you to do it! You should get it soon – I get the shipments quickly from Anthony. Hope you enjoyed your birthday dinner!

Sunny – I actually like Firepower more than I like Providence – it’s faster and incorporates more moves. But it’s also the way I like to train. But I have to admit having a bit of trepidation about Newport! It’s similar but tougher than Firepower! Hope you had fun looking around the nursery yesterday! Did you pick up anything plants?

Shelly – That’s what I always get at the Olive garden! It is good! Good job on running the 10k yesterday! I’m glad to hear you’ll have your family around, too! I do love that part of the country. And you’re right by Coach Troy of Spinervals fame – he does do triathlon training – maybe that will be your next venture. :p

Well, I’m cooking a big brunch later this morning, and then all of the kids will be over for dinner. I’m keeping that one pretty simple. Happy Easter everyone!

slacker cheetah reporting in. it's been a crazy couple of days. i have been keeping up with some good workouts but am thinking that with the arrival of AF today, i might take a rest day. although...sometimes a good cardio sweatfest makes me feel better. i will do some yoga as well as that ALWAYS makes me feel better.

went to wally world yesterday and got "perfect pushups" for $20 bucks. thinks they definitely make pushups more challenging!!!

i am so lost at all the goings on with everyone! i HATE that!

wishing all you wonderfuls a very happy easter!!! i will hopefully be back to report on some sort of workout!

Happy Easter lovely ladies!!

of course today will be a wonderful celebration day:)
this morning i did 4ds bc and had my mil do a 20 min icycle}(
my plan to run with my son will start next week as i need to get him fitted for running shoes before i take him outside to run.

cathy- i use my kb's thruout the week as my tt workouts call for swings and presses and cleans and on saturday i do a full body kb workout. glad you are enjoying. i also have extreme kettle workout from steve cotter and steve maxwell's 300 kb challenge. i have heard excellent things about both of these however i have not tried them yet as i am still in a love fest with providence and KB cardio extreme:)

christine- i agree this is the way i like to train. kb's and fullbody functional training. can't beat the combination and what it's done for my body and definitely no boredom or dread factor:7 i may have to get firepower also}( i did not pick up any plants. i went looking to see what i wanted and if the weather cooperates next weekend i am planting.

carole- your idea sounds like fun. i may have to wait til my kids are 18 to try it out with them, lol.

shelly- enjoy your family day!!

lorie- glad to see folks getting the PP. they definitely add a harder element to an already kickbutt exercise}(

wendy- enjoy your easter activies with your family today!! have you tried your pp's yet? i would imagine you are gonna have some DOMS tomorrow!

linda- have you tried any of your other kb workouts yet? i would recommend giving ic#1 and 2 a try before diving into providence.

have a wonderful easter!

Lorie - Glad to hear you're alive and kicking! We've missed your posts! Hope AF is very kind to you! x(

Sunny - I'll bet you're excited to be running with your son! How wonderful! What a great example you are setting for your kids! Oh yeah, Firepower is a must have. Newport kicked my tail - see below. Wonderfully so, may I add.

Okay, AOS Newport is one of the more challenging workouts I have ever done. I had to do most of it with a 15 pound kb because of the length of the rounds. He has 9 rounds (8 with a bonus) that are between 3-4 minutes each with a minute of abs at the end - and one of the rounds is all abs. I have never worked my core and especially my back obliks (if that makes sense) harder. I'm going to feel this big time tomorrow. I'm actually really excited about this one - I can tell it will push me into a different fitness level - but there will be a dread factor associated with it :+. By the time the push up round came (3 minutes of pushups - no breaks) I was so whipped that I could barely do two sets (30 seconds each alternating between staggered pushups on the kb and diver bombers OUCH!). I think I'll do that round second the next time as I need to upperbody work. Well, time for a shower and then time to get cooking. Happy Easter all!

Hey there Cheetahs!

Cathy – LOL…I saw where you posted that you ordered Extreme KB! I plan on ordering it, too! With that one and AOS Providence….maybe I can get into KBs! I forgot that you will probably be having to do a lot, lot, lot of work during SB. Try to have some fun, though! At least you won’t have to go in to work :<) Congrats on the DOMS! I can’t wait til mine comes in!!! So…you are enjoying KBs, huh?

Carole – I agree that the one body part per day with CTX would really make a difference on being able to focus more on the working muscle…and probably allow you to lift heavier, too. Enjoy the Easter Brunch! LOL…that sounds like a fun egg and beer hunt! :>)

Wendy – ME is a toughie, isn’t it? I love it! Great job on matching Cathe’s and heavier weights! I need to do it! It has been at least a year since I have done it! Enjoy your Easter! Is Joey excited?

Shelly – Glad you enjoyed your lunch at Olive Garden! I love Olive Garden! Good job on your workout! LOL….well you had to make the DOMS even, right? ;>) My BD was wonderful! We went to a place called BlackHawk Grill. I am embarrassed to say that I had filet mignon, a wedge salad and chocolate cheesecake!! (especially after you just posting that you are becoming vegan!). I really and truly would like to try…but I need a guide that would really tell me what I need. No just recipes. Seems like that is all I ever find.

Christine – Oh wow! I will have to check out Newport and Fire Power too, then! Especially since you like Firepower even more than Providence! Enjoy your brunch and the kids! I am glad you enjoyed the party last night!

Lorie – Hope you like the Perfect Pushups! I have been eyeing those, as well! Hope the yoga makes you feel better!

Sunny- No…I am ashamed to say that I have not tried IC1 or 2 yet. I agree …I really do need to do them before Providence or the Extreme KB. But for some reason…they just don’t look “fun” ;>) I will take your advice, though! :>) Good job on your workout and having your MIL do an iCycle! I am sure it will be fun to start running with your son!

This morning I ran 8 miles outside and so far, haven’t done anything else. I am hoping to get enough gumption to do IC#1 or 2. But….we will see!

Happy Easter to everyone!

Linda

Cathy - Good job on the EXT and abs!!

This evening (after a lot of Mexican food and a nap), I did 4DS C&B plus the shoulders. I didn't do IC 'cause I thought it would be better to do just some upper since I did lower body yesterday. (yeah, I know...sounds like I am making excuses, doesn't it :+ )

Hey Cheetahs!

My day was fun. Good food, good company. Good wine!}(

Joey got off to a rocky start though. I thought DH was going to pack us right back into the car and take him back home! Thankfully that didn't have to happen. DH was getting upset with DS where I felt bad for him so I would have been upset with DH if he wanted to leave. Joey freaked out when my aunt and uncle walked into my mom's house. We have no idea why but he started screaming and crying. He ran under the dining room table to hide and when DH went to pick him up he discovered that Joey had gotten so upset that he peed himself to the point where he soaked his clothes! ;( I have no idea what the problem was. We went upstairs and got him changed. I had to carry him down stairs and when we got in sight of my poor aunt Joey put his arms around my neck like he was hangin' on for dear life and started crying like crazy again!?? Very bizarre! He DID get over it after a while but it was so very strange!

It's not a good picture of me, but here's the new curly do. :7

Off to relax before heading to bed. I'm TIRED! Long day!

I'll catch up with personals in the morning!:)
