~:CHEETAHS:~Here we go for our long run...

Evenin', ladies!

Just time for a pop in & hello tonight... will try and get some more time tomorrow to post properly. It is F-R-E-E-Z-I-N-G here!!!!!!! Icy and 16 degrees outside. No long run in the cards... wasn't brave enough to test myself against the elements, and DH is ill with a nasty stomach bug so I didn't want to leave him to fend for himself. Hoping things start to cooperate next week as the 16-week countdown to the marathon kicks off! So nervous, you guys. I'm totally doubting myself.

Linda, just to answer your question-- we had some friends lose one of their 3 mo old twins to SIDS last week. :( It was terribly sad.

Erik's funeral is scheduled for Monday. The family has asked my dad to say a few words-- completely unexpected... he's at a total loss for words. (He served as a church youth counselor back when my sis and Erik were in HS.)

DH & I are doing fine-- we didn't know Erik very well, just through my parents & sister. It's just so horribly tragic.

Anyway just wanted to say hello and thanks to all my wonderful Cheetah friends. Be back tomorrow with personals. :)

Wendi: I just realized you and I were posting at the same time! LOL Yeah, I understood what ya meant with the small world story. That's a crazy one though. Talk about an unlikely thing to have happen! No worries. I think the LAST people you have to worry about rattin' ya out to bosshole would be us Cheetahs. We are on your side all the way, baby! :D Enjoy that run!!!! That's just terrible about NYE. :( I hope your DSO can get the needed day off so you can finally celebrate together. I'll be keepin' all appendages crossed for ya!;)

Brighton: Have a good evening. Hope DH is feelin' better soon!

Dallas – I’m glad your hip is feeling better! Oh, how tough to keep DS5 in when everyone else can go out!! I’d feel horrible. But, I’m glad it’s nothing serious, and everyone will be healthy tomorrow! Oh that’s funny about Sushi. I adore it, but I’m picky about the kind I eat. Hugs to you and yours!! Sounds like they are needed.

Linda – I’m looking forward to the zoo tomorrow. It should be fun. I say I won’t tease the animals as a tiger got out of her pen last year after kids teased her. I’d like to avoid that if at all possible. :p Sounds like a great work out – but I’m so sorry you hurt your back. I’ve done that kick boxing, too. Ice and doing things that did not involve kicking helped it heal.

Gloria – that books sounds really great! Are you enjoying it? Well, you’ll get it to me when you do – it’s something to look forward to!! Thanks for thinking about me. Good job on the 5 miles.

Wendy – YES!! It’s their twice yearly sale. I’ve gotten jeans from them then and I love it! Did you get the motivation to take DS to the mall? Thanks, I love my Uggs, too – they are sooo comfy! Good job on the kettlebell workout!

Oh Cathy, my dear – I LOVE your thread titles!! They would never annoy me. I was just telling Wendi that it was okay to not be as creative because it is after Christmas. I envy you your creativity!!!! Sorry if you got the wrong idea. :( I’m looking forward to the zoo. I haven’t been there in a while. Glad you like Athlete’s Guide to Yoga. I enjoy the Opening the Hips segment as well! That’s my favorite!

Wendi – sorry you have to work New Year’s Eve – that sucks!! But enjoy your daylight run!!! Yeah, HSTA is a leg frier – I love it! Have fun with the laundry (well, try to, anyway!).

I had forgotten about the CCPP Saturday, so I did that on the bike instead. Along with the extra challenge. Yowza!! That was a goodie. Then I took down the tree – can you believe it?! But I figured what the heck. It will give me some leeway in what I can do this next week. Then we took dad to Saratoga and hung out there for a bit, now we’re home and I’m joining Wendy in a glass of wine! Cheers!
